2. Mxmtoon: Logo
• The logo used for her music videos on YouTube
is a simplified version of the one used on the
website however the use od the same font and
border style make both easily identifiable as for
the same person
• She uses her stage name for the full logo as this
makes everything with it in/on clearly
recognisable as hers
3. Mxmtoon: Use of colour
• The colour schemes of the lighting in some
parts of the video and the website are similar,
with the most common colours being purple
and black
• These colours not only help to connect the
video and website in the audience’s mind, but
also convey the tone and emotion of her songs,
which are typically calm
4. IDKHOW: Logo
• The band uses their logo at the beginning and end of their music
video and as a transparent GIF on their website
• This helps to create a cohesive sense of brand style across both
media products as it helps to clearly identify the band
• While the logo only utilizes part of the band name, it is a striking
and memorable design and so it is easy to identify as theirs
5. IDKHOW: Use of colour
• They use a similar striking orange colour as the background of their
music video and in the background of the first piece of extra linked
content on the website which is the forefront of the website when
first opened
• The shared colour scheme
6. Half Alive: logo
• Similar to Mxmtoon, Half Alive uses their full
logo on their website and a simplified version
in the music video
• The two share characteristics such as the band
name being the primary focus of the design,
with the two words separated by a dot
• As with Mxmtoon’s, by using the band name
as the logo it is very clear what band it relates
to
• They also have older/alternative logos which
can be found on their website and one
features in the music video as well
• The older logos communicate the bands name
through mathematical symbols and the
signature dot
7. Half Alive: Use of colour
• In the music video yellow, orange, and brown are
the primary colours used for both the lighting at
the beginning and for the members’ outfits
• The same yellow has been used on the website for
all of the text as well as part of the background
• This consistency is used as Still Feel is their most
popular and well recognised video and the
memorable colour scheme helps the audience to
recognise the website as for the same band
