3. Review in a timely manner the Design Consultant(s) submittals and return comments.
4. Ensure the Design Consultant(s) incorporates the comments raised from previous stages.
5. Attend Technical meetings with the Client, PM, Design, other Sub-Consultants and Contractors.
6. Coordinate with PM’s to ensure that all documents are properly controlled.
7. Review alternatives to the Design concept submitted by the Design Consultant(s).
8. Review the change requests/variations.
9. Review completeness of Tender Documents, ensuring full compliance with Employer Requirements prior to issue.
10. Participate in the pre-qualification exercise of the construction contractors.
11. Participate in response to bidders clarifications and attend Technical Meetings along with PM and Design Consultants bidders during Tender stage.
12. Review tenders; participate in tender assessments and award of contract Post Contract.
13. Participate as required in technical workshops along with PM, Design Consultants and Contractors, ensuring continued compliance with ER’s

Project Description Parsons’ scope of the design services includes the detailed maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans and the designs of an approximately 1,350-m storm water pipe and
a 17-meter deep-bored micro tunnel, and prepares the shop drawings for Pavement, utilities and services for the project which includes (Electricity, water, Q-tel,
Storm water, Foul sewer, Arm Force Lines, QP lines, …etc.). It is a design built project which includes preparing the temporary roads and the detours to allow for
construction of new Salwa roads which contains 4 SPU intersections.
The detours shall cover all stages of construction and be coordinated with existing shops in addition to obtain all necessary approvals.
The project is to prepare the design and deliver it to the contractor to build these detours.
Duty As a DPM,
1. Assist the PM for managing the project to be finalized on schedule

Project: Al Waab Street
Project Description Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Al Waab Street in Doha-Qatar. Al Waab Street is classified as primary road according to QHDM. The project is
about 6.5 Km length with 64m right of way. The existing roundabouts names are Al Bustan R/A, Wholesale R/A, Sports City R/A, Carrefour R/A and Al Manaseer
R/A (total 5 roundabouts). At Hyatt Plaza the new 4-legs signalized intersection is required to replace existing right in/out. The existing roundabouts along Al Waab
Street shall be converted to 4-legs signalized intersections. Service roads and geometry of the intersections should be studied and modified accordingly to suit the
road user’s requirements. Surface water drainage system is required for the whole road and treated sewer effluent system is also required. Foul sewer connection
is required at one roundabout only.

Project Description The project consists of new construction of part of the internal roads of zone 62 in addition to the construction of the 3 junctions which are at the intersection of
Markhiya Street and Majlis Al Taawon Street, intersection of Al Wahda Street and Al Jamiaa Street and intersection of Al Markhiya Street and Al Jamiaa Street.
The work includes complete infra structure. The existing pavement at the intersection will be demolished and the proposed modifications will include the
following:
 Provision of two dedicated left turning lanes on all four approaches.
 Provision of auxiliary lanes for right turn movements.
 Median widening from 4.00 to 10.70m along both approaches from Al Markhiya Street.
 Redesign of adjacent minor right-in/right-out junctions whose layout was affected with proposed major junctions design.
 Construction of Roads including: Earth works, Curbing works, footpaths and paved areas, and Landscape and irrigation works.

Project Description Highway Design Engineer of Development of Roads and Infrastructure in Al Shamal at the north of State of Qatar. The total road length is about 100 km and
covering three towns named Abu Dholuf City, Al Shamal City and Al Ruwais City. The project scope consists of full detail design of roads and infrastructure of Al
Shamal area and also involves the evaluation and reporting of the offsite requirements to facilitate the supply and discharge of all utilities. The project include
extension of Al Shamal Corniche road with work associated with a promenade and sea defenses/sea wall the full extent of such requirements. The existing asphalt
roads shall be updated to meet the future planning requirements.

design and building of Airfield access tunnels, east runway and taxiway, west runway and taxiway, general aviation apron, cargo apron, passenger terminal apron,

Project: Doha Expressway
Project Description The Doha Expressway is part of a strategic plan to modernize transportation for Greater Doha. These major new highway corridors link through the suburbs of
Qatar’s capital city with easy access to the new and old airports, the industrial area, and other major highway arteries such as Salwa Road, Dukhan Road, and
North Road.
Parsons performed the initial concept study for a 22-km alignment that was expanded to 90 km with 39 grade-separated interchanges to serve future
development and population growth. This project took into consideration many factors in developing the final alignment for the upgraded expressway, including
but not limited to cost, traffic flow, existing right-of-way, land acquisition, utility relocation, and overall plans for the future transportation network. The project’s 13
packages integrate complete design of major components: Controlled access highways, Frontage roads, Bridges, tunnels, and retaining walls, Traffic signals,
Utilities such as communications, water, electricity, sewer, and drainage, Landscaping, Micro tunnels, and Street lighting

Project Description The Wakrah Bypass (Project 15) is a 12-km major North-South Expressway with 5 main interchanges connecting to the Wakra-Mesaieed Road, just southwest of
Wakrah. The main road consisted of a 10-lane section (5 lanes in each direction) with the provision for a future additional of two more lanes in each direction
(totaling to a 14-lane section).
Duty As a Highway Design Engineer,
1. Prepare the drawings and reports related to highway geometric design for all stages (Preliminary, Detailed and Tender) which include:
a. Horizontal and vertical alignment b. Cross sections, c. Grading,

Project: Education City – Dukhan Road
Project Description Education City is divided into North and South Campuses by Dukhan Highway, which runs approximately east-west and was being upgraded to accommodate the
demand by the substantial development which generates significant amount of traffic.
The Major task was
 Use the technical specifications developed to develop conceptual design for each intersection within the Education city campus and on the external road network.
 Discuss Draft conceptual plans with relevant stakeholders and Authorities and feed comments back to design team.
 Revise Draft conceptual Design plans after input from relevant stakeholders and Authorities
The project contained five major junctions providing access to Education City from Greater Doha area

Project: East West Corridor - Project 10&11
Project Description The project Scope of Work called for the perpetration of preliminary design, detailed design, and tender documents for the construction of approximately 19km of
new freeway, extending from the future Inner Orbital Road (Interchange 32) to Al Matar Street (Interchange 27) and the New Doha International Airport (NDIA). It
was defined as the East West Corridor portion of the Doha Expressway system, and includes Projects 10 and 11 of the Doha Expressway Program. It is intended
to connect the western portions of the Greater Doha Area with the NDIA. The Project included five through lanes in each direction, with auxiliary and Collector-
Distributor Roads as needed. It also included space to accommodate two additional lanes in each direction in the future.
Duty As a Highway Design Engineer,

The Road networks consist of many category of roads which varies from expressway to local roads and pedestrian network. Many types of intersections and interchanges and dealing with many packages with different consultants and contractors. Duty 1. Review the Highway design drawings, reports and specifications submitted by the Design Consultant at each Design Stage to ensure completeness, and compliance with the approved Scope of Work. 2. Assess and seek clarification on constructability during early Design stages. 3. Review in a timely manner the Design Consultant(s) submittals and return comments. 4. Ensure the Design Consultant(s) incorporates the comments raised from previous stages. 5. Attend Technical meetings with the Client, PM, Design, other Sub-Consultants and Contractors. 6. Coordinate with PM’s to ensure that all documents are properly controlled. 7. Review alternatives to the Design concept submitted by the Design Consultant(s). 8. Review the change requests/variations. 9. Review completeness of Tender Documents, ensuring full compliance with Employer Requirements prior to issue. 10. Participate in the pre-qualification exercise of the construction contractors. 11. Participate in response to bidders clarifications and attend Technical Meetings along with PM and Design Consultants bidders during Tender stage. 12. The project is to prepare the drawings from Concept Design to IFC drawings and obtain all the authority approvals to allow the contractor to build these roads. Duty As a DPM, 1.
