3. AIM/ OBJECTIVE: CONTRACT DETAILS:
SEC intends to improve rapid voltage
support at Hail-2 (9031) and Al-Jouf-2
380kV Substations of SEC network by
providing Conventional or Hybrid Static
VAR Compensator Systems (SVC).
The SVCs at Hail-2 (9031) shall be
connected to spare 380kV Breaker. CB
position for SVC at Al-Jouf-2 .380kV
Substation will be provided by Al-Jouf-2
380kV Substation Contractor.

Protection & Control System / SAS / Alarms / Metering (SIEMENS)
 Electrical:
Witnessing with CSD Engineer completed except the
following:
• SAS Close Loop Test 83% completed (remaining 17%
for which data entry update will be completed by
25/10/2016 in CRCC; SCADA Closed Loop Test will be
resumed on Wednesday 26/10/2016).
• Final Trip Test for Protection & Control is completed
• Interlock test completed
• Snag Clearance in progress
• Post Energization Test (to be done after Energization of
SVC Transformer & 13.8kV Auxiliary System after
receiving Energization Permit) : Need 10 Working Days
to put SVC in service

Balancing and DDC Panel in progress
• Fire Alarm/Fighting Test: All walk through
requirements/comments from ISD (East

already send to ISD / S&EPD-East to
confirm the date of Final Inspection or
issue Energization Clearance based on the
submitted Test results.
• Internal Testing of Fire alarm, Firefighting
and Hydrant system Completed.
