3. Film Plot 2
• The main character is Esther, and she is 17 years old at the
time of the film. The film begins with her finding out that she
was adopted. She gets really angry and upset at her parents,
and writes a post on her blog about wanting to know her real
family. She is then contacted by a girl called Maisie that claims
she is her biological sister. They continue to talk, and Esther is
concerned about meeting up with her. Maisie talks her into it
and they meet up in secret regularly. Esther decides to do
some research on her biological family, and finds things that
hint towards Maisie not being her sister. It eventually comes
out that Maisie is not who she said she was but has actually
been stalking Esther for months before they met. Maisie gets
angry and attacks Esther but she manages to escape and
Maisie gets arrested.

6. Locations

• Graveyard
• House/room
• Woods/forest- dark alley ways, small streets
with lots of trees ect.
7. Target Audience
• My film will be aimed at people aged between 17-25,
because when I analysed my audience survey, this
was the age group that I had the most answers from.
• I chose the BBFC rating 15 because, although my
target audience starts at 17, the only other option
would have been 18. I think 18 would have too high
for my film because it features girls aged around the
age of 15/16/17. As well as this, I looked at the
different age classifications and decided that the
content and storyline of my film would fit the 15
category best.
8. Budget and Release Date
• I think my film would have a budget of around £5 million. In the film
industry, this is a fairly low budget, but after doing research on the
genre of psychological thrillers I found that they are mostly made with
a small production budget by smaller production companies. This is
because they aren’t typically as common, popular or well-known as
action or drama film, which usually obtain a bigger budget of around
£50 million+.
• I gave my film the release date of winter 2015. I chose this date
because I don’t think it is the kind of film that you would see in the
summer. I believe that the film is more suited to cold, dark nights as it
would fit well with the film and the effect. Also, a lot of films premier
in the summer, so by releasing my film in the winter there would,
potentially, be les big blockbuster films coming out. This would mean
that my film would get more advertising space, have less competition
and therefore, hopefully, attract a bigger audience.
9. Production Company
• My production company is called ‘Once Upon A Time productions’. I
chose this name because it has relevance in the film industry, and
gives off an idea of what sort of film they specialise in.
• Once Upon a Time productions is an independent, but fairly
successful film production and distribution company.
• It typically produces horrors, thrillers and psychological films, which
is why it is the production company that will make my film.
• The logo is just the name of the company. I chose a font that fits
with the name of the company (typical fairly-tale font), but has a
slight twist and looks more creepy- which fits well with the fact that
they normally produce horrors/psychological films.
