• My project’s characters are from a horror story so I
have researched, the movie Halloween, with
characters similar to mine.
• My project is a horror film so I researched stories
from some other horror films.
• The movie Halloween, is about multiple murders and
stalking. My film will have these themes also because
they are common characteristics of a horror film and
my audience would expect to see them.
• Halloween has a character who is a stranger and who
covers his face with a white mask, but my film
character will differ in that he is a mystery guy
wearing a dark hoodie because I think that this is a
more modern look and approach to costume for my
villain.
• Halloween is an American film but my film is British
so the differences might be the location and some
props. I will make it more British to relate to the
audience.

• The movie Scream has a cover that I really like, because it shows a woman’s
face looking terrified.
• This cover tells the viewer that the film is going to be scary. I want my film to
be scary too so I have decided to design my DVD cover and poster with the
same feeling.
• I want my film to have the same or similar cover as this, which is in keeping
with the genre.
• The Scream movie poster is a full black and white image and title. However,
the eye are blue. My film is black, white and red because my colour scheme
reflects that my film is horror. Also, I added red because the connotations of
this colour is like blood, anger, violence and danger.
• The connotations of black and white can also show shadows and light
meaning that there may be a good end to the dark storyline.
• My film’s title is from DaFont because they have a lot of different fonts. I
chose the horror font because this links my horror film to the horror genre.
• I will put my image of someone in a hoodie in the middle of my poster and
DVD cover because I would like to show that my image is always in the middle
of the poster. I like my image that the stranger wear the hoodie and black
cover his face to makes my audience wonder who he is?
• In the front of DVD cover and poster that I will put one image of hoodie
because that is main character in my film. In the back cover I will add three to
four images because that for show where, what happens and who is
characters?
• I will must add production details such as my name on it because to show
who is created it and makes it. Also I will add actors name on it because my
audience want to know who is actors on it.
• I will must used the tagline because I will give them bit of describe about my
film and what happens in my film if they miss my trailer. I must my tagline on
the top of poster and DVD cover because all the tagline always on the top.
• I will keep my poster very similar to this one as it works well for the genre and
the audience will recognize it will be a horror film.

• My project’s character is similar to the main character in the movie
Lights Out (2016). This film shows a character who follows another
main character around.
• I picked the movie called ”Lights out” because that movie are
influenced me. Lights out are very similar my film because the main
character who stalking to other main character just like my film the
stranger stalking to Jason and the both are same as no narrative.
But different location because lights out is all about in the
house/flat and my film is all about in the park/bridge.
• The evil protagonist is wearing a full black costume. My character
will also be wearing black because this adds to the scary
atmosphere of my film and also hides his identity which is the key
plot point.
• My project title is The stranger . I researched the font and
typography of the title. I want something that looks similar because
this will also add to the atmosphere of the movie.
• My scene is where Jason and the stranger fights there has lots of
jump cuts because that for show what happens their reaction when
they fights each other. I not need any narrative because my film is
Deaf film. Yes, some of my characters have expressions close ups
because I want their doing big expressions for show what their
emotions like happy, sad, scary and laugh. But some of my
characters who is not good expressions enough because they were
can’t bother and they don’t know how is good expressions.
• My project will also feature a black and white appearance. My
poster was more dark shadow because the stranger wear hoodie
and his face dark shadow like hiding. My poster colour is really dark
like deep black and white.
