actions. The complex meaning behind this narrativeis that this particular image

expectations society and especially the older age groupshave of youngsters.

down’ and ‘disdain’ is instead representing how youngster today feel about how
the rest of society views and treats them. However, the positive message of the
narrativeis in the end as it will become clear that in factall the stereotypes that
was adhered to in the narrativebecome subverted in the end as it was all a bad
dream the young female had. In reality her life is the opposite of the one that is
represented in the narrative. The reason for using this idea for my narrativeis to
focuson stereotypes and at the same time play with peoples prejudices and
allow them to apply these whilst viewing the video. Although, atthe end the
audience will realise that it is wrong to generalise a whole age group based on
exaggerated and at times biased views that the media portrays. In addition this
narrativemakes the audienceassume the outcomefrom the beginning but of
coursehow the audience expects the narrativeto end is apposed, this makes
the video memorableand engaging, as they will be surprised with the ends
resolution. Furthermore, thenarrativewill also motivate and be encouraging to
the target audience (15_20 year olds) as this video is representing them in a
positive way they may feel it is necessary to make other groupsin society aware
of the impact their views may have. The target audience will become enthused
with the video (narrative) asmajority if not all can relate to the lyrics and the
overall meaning behind the narrative. In addition, the music video positive
message for the targetaudience is that they should notconform to stereotypes
and instead proveexpectations/stereotypes wrong as this will in the far future
changethese views and in turn make young adults more respected and

This song belongs to the Indie rockgenre, the reason for not choosing this song
is because the song and lyrics do not complimentmy originalideas for a
narrative. Also the lyrics cannotbe applied to a meaningfuland in depth
narrativethat consist of an overall ideology(message). The song is also slower
and through out there is a low tempo, this makes it difficultto have a variety of
scenes in order to make the video more exiting, creative and original.

This song belongs to alternative genre, the reason for notchoosing this song is
because it is abouta relationship between a couple and their struggle/ issues.
The narrativeI wanted to create was not aboutlove. Also the song is very slow
this would make it challenging to create a interesting and creative narrative

This song belongs to the Indie genrebut it is acoustic as well. The reason for not
choosing this song is because it has references to a romantic relationship. Also
the song is very slow with many pauses throughoutthis would make it very
difficultto have an interesting narrative. In addition, it would be challenging to
be creative with the lyrics as it is very bland, it if difficultto come up with a
meaningfulnarrativeto suit the lyrics of the song.
