2. Main idea
■ Song: Lovely -Billie Eilish Or Moonlight –Ali Gatie or I found – amber run
■ Genre: R&B/Soul
■ Starts of with a boy going to bed. He drinks alcohol to help him sleep and forget.
■ As the boy goes into deep sleep, we start to see him dreaming of a “girl” (his ex girlfriend)
■ Flashbacks and a montage of the times they had together. Scenes of them holding hands on the
beach, dinner date, going biking, watching the sunrise/sunset together, Netflix, JBR fair, study date,
her head out of the roof of the car, playing music in the car and singing with each other.
■ Between the Flashbacks we see him struggling to sleep, moving around etc.
■ Goes to the bathroom to wash his face and he looks in the mirror to see the girl standing behind him.
Audience doesn't’t know if it is actually her or the boy is hallucinating due to his obsession of the girl.
4. Target audience
■ MyTarget audience is based on teenagers and young adults (13-25)
■ Billie Eilish is a 17 year old singer/songwriter who inspires teenagers her age to deviate from
conformity and be yourself.
■ My genre is R&B/soul which usually targets females especially because it is stereotypically
based on love and relationships. However, my production will be based on a male point of
view of a heartbreak and therefore appeals to both genders in this age range.
■ According to the uses and gratification theory, my music video will enable my audience to
personally relate themselves to the main character and feel like they are not the only
person who is going through heartbreaks and depression. It will also help them escape
from their everyday problems that they might be facing in a relationship as it will allow
them to see it through another persons view.
5. Branding
■ The over all color scheme of my music video is white and grey.The white will represent
the positive days, it creates a sense of purity and happiness whereas the grey will
connote to his depression and misery now that he is lonely.
■ My album cover will consist of the two contrasting colors.The front cover will be white
whereas the back will be grey.The back is grey and is based on what is inside the
album, the could alternatively reflect the main characters feelings and expressions.
The front is white to suggest that the boy is doing fine from the outside and hiding
how he really feels.
■ My album and my song will be advertised through billboards mainly because they are
very big and eye-catching. Most of my audience will be easily targeted as they will be
exposed to the billboard on their way to school/university/collage and even work.
