2. Special Education
• Special education, also called special needs education,
the education of children who differ socially, mentally, or
physically from the average to such an extent that they require
modifications of mainstream school practices.
• Special education is specially designed to ensure that students
with disabilities are provided with an educational environment
that allows them to be educated effectively. Disabilities that
qualify for special education include physical disabilities, such as
deafness or blindness; mental disabilities, such as Down's
syndrome( MR) and autism ; medical conditions, such as oxygen
dependence or traumatic brain injury; learning deficits (
LD),like dyslexia; and behavioral disorders, such as attention
deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and conduct disorders.
3. Integrated Education
• Integrated education facilitates the learning of the
disabled children with specialized service in mainstream
schools when were think about the special education,
the gifted and the other exceptional children get
education through special programme arranged.These
children remain isolated from the normal classroom
student.
• Extra supports may be implemented to help them adapt
to the regular curriculum, and sometimes separate and
special education programs are in place within the
classroom or through pull-out services. In theory,
integration is a positive approach that seeks to help
learners with disabilities be part of the larger group of
learners .
4. Inclusive Education
• Inclusive education means that all learners attend and are
welcomed by their neighborhood mainstream schools in
age-appropriate, regular classes and are supported to learn,
contribute and participate in all aspects of the life of the
school.
• Inclusive education – also called inclusion – is education
that includes everyone, with non-disabled and Disabled
children (including those with “special educational needs”)
learning together in mainstream schools, colleges and
universities.
