1. Question Two - How does your media product represent particular social groups?
The social groups that
would be interested in
my magazine would be
mainly female, because
they are the gender most
POP
interested in pop music.
The pop genre is seen as
a genre which is quite
fun, not too serious and
can be used to have a
good time and dance to
it.

2. The pink colours would appeal to my target
audience of young females and convey the
innocent, girly side that they have.
The colloquial language such as
‘awesome’ and ‘amazeball’ would
appeal to my target audience and
represent the fun, jokey side to them.
The main image is of a female of a similar age
to my target audience which may make them
want to read it as they would feel that they can
relate to the person in the article which may
make them want to read it. also, the girl in the
image looks nice and happy which would go
against the stereo-type that all youth are out to
cause trouble.
The person in the main image is also wearing
pink which represents the pop genre as it is
bright and girly. Also, the flowers in her hair
also show how she is very sweet and girly
which shows that stereotype.

3. The colour scheme of orange white
and black, although
sinmple, represents yourng girls
becuase orange is a fuin, bright colour
and would appeal to them. The fact
that the colour scheme is so
minimilistic and simple which makes it
more visually pleasing for the reader

represents the bright, girly nature of
my target audience
The artists that are included in the
magazine such as One
direction, JLS, P!nk and Taylor Swift
represent my target audience
because this is the type of music
that they enjoy listening to and so
this would appeal to them and make
them want to read the magazine

4. The fun pose that the people are
pulling in the main Image, as well as
being well known to be associated
with pop star lady gaga, who also
would appeal to my audience, may
show that they are just reading it to
be entertained and have fun
