There are many different conventions that
radio adverts must follow. One of these
codes and conventions is that radio
  trailers always use a voiceover
There is always a sound bed underneath
the radio trailer that reflects the general
  mood and atmosphere of the
  documentary
They usually include a slogan which will grab
the audiences attention and affect them in
some way weather it be to amuse or a hard
hitting question. If in the rare occasions they
do not use a slogan they will still have a
rhetorical question or hard hitting piece of
information to create the same effect
They also always contain scheduling
information so that the audience know
  when they can watch it
The radio trailer also contains clips from the
show that will give the audience an
  insight into what the actual
  documentary will contain
