  • Welcome members – create sense of trust, build relationships, treat people as individuals with value
  • Learn and adapt – listen to your community and build from what they ask for (not what you think they want)
  • Be ready for having your community grow legs and starting to having its own life in many places…
  • Offline outreach: Creating opportunities for people to collaborate in person and find each other, without context of the network/group creates interest in continued connections and reinforces role and value of group
