1 syllable adjectives that end in “e”:
We usually add “r” (we don’t need another “e”).
safe: safer ripe: riper
nice: nicer blue: bluer

1 syllable adjectives that end in a consonant, vowel, consonant:
We usually double the consonant:
big: bigger
hot: hotter

Adjectives with 2 or more syllables:
If a two-syllable adjective ends in a consonant and “y”, we change
the “y” to “i” and add “er”:
busy: busier
noisy: noisier

With some adjectives with 2 or more syllables, you can:

The easiest way to use comparative adjectives in a sentence is to use
“than”:
