2. Block font which makes
it stand out
Black font which
contrasts to its
background
Both words are all in
capital letters to make
it stand out more
The title isn’t straight it’s
wavy, this could suggest
that the album is
different to its others
and the album could be
‘wavy’ itself.
3. All of the text is in capitals
to make it stand out and
look much larger
The text is in white with a black
background, this is because the
two colours are a contrast and
therefore will make the text
stand out.
The front appears to be quite
rough and tattered, this
could represent the way the
band look or maybe how the
music will sound
The text has been divided up into
different font sizes, this is
because the larger words will be
more relevant to the band. For
example the words ‘and the’ are
connective words joining the two
head words together
4. The title is in thick, bold
capital font, this is to make
the text stand out from the
background.
Event though the text is the
same colour as colours
represented in the
background, the black outline
of the text allows a distinct
difference shown between
the two.
The lemon shown replacing the
letter O and also shown in the
bottom right hand corner becomes a
key of significance to the band over
the time. It is how people represent
the band or link the band.
Each word is shown on a
new line but all start at the
same point, this is to make
each word look important
and have its own space.
The paint in the
background of the picture
represents something to
do with the band. After
research I have found out
it is to do with their
manager in a feud.
5. Capital bold font of the artists
name Picture of the solo artist is the
background to the whole
picture
The font is in black, this
makes it stand out from the
background picture
The focus of the picture is the solo artist
and is the only clear part of the picture
as the background is blurred and
distorted
6. Comparing digipacks
• When the artist is solo it is a picture of the artist whereas when it is a
band/group the focus is mainly of their name with a background
picture and nothing involving an image of them
• When it is a band the name is centre stage of the picture, it takes up
around 90% of the picture and is the main focus whereas when it is a
solo artist the photo is predominantly an image of the artist with their
name shadowing the picture
• All pictures have a large contrast between the background colour and
its text colour, this is to make the text stand out more
