2. MAIN IMAGE
The main image of the digipak tends to either have the bands interests or styles on them, this
gives the audience a inside view of what they’re going to be listening to.
Some artwork has the artist themselves on the front but this isn’t a necessary requirement.
The font found on them tends to show who the band are. The artist font tends to be in a different
format to the title of the album.
The artwork on an album tends to add anticipation to what the audience is going to be listening
to and usually has a hidden meaning behind it.
4. In this artwork we
can see they’re
spraying
champagne. The
text used for the
artist name is bold
and across the top
compared to the
title which is along
the bottom and in
smaller writing.
The band are across
the middle of the
album which shows
who they’re.
5. The artwork used here has the
band name doing down the
middle and then the album
name is in smaller text at the
bottom. They’re both in the
same font though. There is no
eye catching artwork other
then the & directly in the
centre. The artwork around the
outside of it is similar to a basic
carpet.
6. The artwork used on this album
is the lead singer in the middle
of the album in a body suit, this
album would stand out on the
shelf because its different to all
the others. The album name
and the title are both in the
same font apart from the title of
the album is smaller then the
artist name.
7. This artwork features the sing of
the band sitting on the edge of
a building. His at the edge of the
artwork. The font of the album
title is in the middle along the
bottom in a vibrant colour
compared to the rest of the
scenery. The artist name isn’t
featured on the front. There is a
monotone setting.
8. The album artwork used here
features a female standing
holding bodily insides. The album
title and artist title is in the same
font and colour covering the mass
of the album cover.
9. The artwork is a colourful surrounding of
roots, these are in the shades of purple and
blue. The figure in the centre-bottom is in a
black shading. The title and artist name are
in two separate fonts. The artist name is in
capitals in the centre top and the album
name is in smaller writing under the artist.
The artwork is animated.
10. The album artwork for this work
features a named female with an
animated hand work and animated
background. The album title is in
small spaced out writing underneath
the artist title which is in the logo
design of the band.
11. The album artwork used here has the band
members all in the centre of the album
covered in flames linking back to the
album name. The artist title is in capitals
along the top in capitalised letters and the
album name is underneath this in a
different font and colour. The background
is relation to the album title as the artwork is
seen as the world being set on fire.
12. MY IDEA
The idea for my front cover is going to be on a hill with trees surrounding it, I shall then get the
lyric board saying “Show Me The Way” attached to the tree and then various different sizes,
shapes and colours of arrows around the outside of it. I will then edit in the artist title along the
bottom of it. This can show how I develop my skill of reality and editing.
