Understanding Campaign 
Management
Campaign management provides digital marketers 
the opportunity to deliver personalized content and 
so create dedicated experiences for visitors.
Getting Started
● Brand 
– Highest Level Entity 
– Example :- ABC Software is a brand 
– Consists of campaigns 
● Campaings 
– It is the way in which a brand is endorsed. 
– Example :- ABC firm running campaings to sell its services 
– Consists of experiences 
● Experiences 
– It is what is visible to the user 
– Could be a teaser page to make user use a service or a newsletter sent to intimate user of 
some kind of new service
● Segment 
– Used to segregate users based on some criteria. 
– Example :- segment of users with age more than 30 and living in India 
– http://localhost:4502/miscadmin#/etc/segmentation 
● Boost Factor 
– Used to give priority to some of the user segments. 
– There could be multiple segments a user can belong to. A segment 
with more 'Boost Factor' is given preference over the one with lower 
'Boost Factor' 
– To use this, edit the segment and specify boost factor from the dialog.
Creating Campaigns

Using Teasers only 
● Below campaign node, create a brand 
● Inside brand, create campaign 
● Inside experience, create teaser with property 
'segment' to it. This property is used to reolve 
this teaser.
Using Experience 
● Below campaign node, create a brand 
● Inside brand, create experience for each of the 
desired view. Property 'segment' is set for each 
experience. 
● Inside experience, create teaser with property 
'location' set to it. This is property is used to 
reolve this teaser
Teaser Resolution
Strategies 
● First 
– First of all resolved 
teasers. 
● Random 
– Any of resolved teasers 
● Clickstream 
– Teaser having tags that are 
most clicked across the 
site
Teaser Component 
● Location Name 
– All teasers with this 
property value are searched 
for 
● Campaign Path 
– All teasers inside this 
campaign are searched for 
– This gets preference over 
location name, if both are 
specified
Promotions & Vouchers
Promotions 
● Could be of different types like discount type 
promotion or Free Shipping 
● When created inside an experience, it is 
automatically applied when that experience is 
resolved

big-spender/ordervalueover100 
● When created out of an experience, needs to be 
applied using a 'Voucher'
Vouchers 
● Can be created anywhere inside the camaign. 
● Like a coupon where we specify a coupon code 
and message that needs to be shown when 
voucher is applied 
● It is linked to a promotion that specifies what 
needs to be done when this voucher is applied

  • 5. Campaign management provides digital marketers the opportunity to deliver personalized content and so create dedicated experiences for visitors.
  • 7. ● Brand – Highest Level Entity – Example :- ABC Software is a brand – Consists of campaigns ● Campaings – It is the way in which a brand is endorsed. – Example :- ABC firm running campaings to sell its services – Consists of experiences ● Experiences – It is what is visible to the user – Could be a teaser page to make user use a service or a newsletter sent to intimate user of some kind of new service
  • 8. ● Segment – Used to segregate users based on some criteria. – Example :- segment of users with age more than 30 and living in India – http://localhost:4502/miscadmin#/etc/segmentation ● Boost Factor – Used to give priority to some of the user segments. – There could be multiple segments a user can belong to. A segment with more 'Boost Factor' is given preference over the one with lower 'Boost Factor' – To use this, edit the segment and specify boost factor from the dialog.
  • 10. Using Teasers only ● Below campaign node, create a brand ● Inside brand, create campaign ● Inside experience, create teaser with property 'segment' to it. This property is used to reolve this teaser.
  • 11. Using Experience ● Below campaign node, create a brand ● Inside brand, create experience for each of the desired view. Property 'segment' is set for each experience. ● Inside experience, create teaser with property 'location' set to it. This is property is used to reolve this teaser
  • 13. Strategies ● First – First of all resolved teasers. ● Random – Any of resolved teasers ● Clickstream – Teaser having tags that are most clicked across the site
  • 14. Teaser Component ● Location Name – All teasers with this property value are searched for ● Campaign Path – All teasers inside this campaign are searched for – This gets preference over location name, if both are specified
  • 16. Promotions ● Could be of different types like discount type promotion or Free Shipping ● When created inside an experience, it is automatically applied when that experience is resolved http://localhost:4502/siteadmin#/content/campaigns/geometrixx-outdoors/ big-spender/ordervalueover100 ● When created out of an experience, needs to be applied using a 'Voucher'
  • 17. Vouchers ● Can be created anywhere inside the camaign. ● Like a coupon where we specify a coupon code and message that needs to be shown when voucher is applied ● It is linked to a promotion that specifies what needs to be done when this voucher is applied http://localhost:4502/siteadmin#/content/campaigns/geometrixx-outdoors/ article/summer-female-over30/summer-training-voucher
