The third document discusses key aspects of using Twitter, including using hashtags to find similar topics, following others to see their tweets, and how people use Twitter to raise awareness of issues by making hashtags popular.

2. A visual tool that lets users share ideas from websites, images, and text with
others
Think of one big bulletin board!
Pinterest is FREE
Available in “App” format
Ideas/thoughts/etc are grouped onto boards
Boards are determined by categories (example: arts and crafts, books,
recipes)
“Pinners” are able to have followers and friends on the site
Boards can be made public or private
Pinterest can link to Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites
Website links can be provided underneath pins in order to find source
content and give credit
3. Use handle to communicate 160 characters or less
Communicate using ‘@‘ before your handle
Find people posting about similar topics by searching for # hashtags
Follow people who post about things you are interested in
View their tweets on your feed
For example if you like news you would follow journalists so that news stories are the top
item in your feed
People use Twitter to join forces by making a # popular

4. What would WE use?
Pinterest:
Kayla: embed or give a link on the Wix Online Training Course web page that
allows participants to view a board that is filled with images of new products
and links to the distributors site.
Facebook:
Kayla: would not use Facebook because the website www.visciousvixen.com
already has its own Facebook page where participants can keep up with the
company. I would however provide the feed to that Facebook on the training
website.
Twitter:
Kayla: will not be using Twitter for my project. There aren’t any “real time”
updates they would need that they wouldn’t be able to get from the Facebook
page. I also think a blog would be better for including lengthy explanations or
instructions.
5. What would WE use?
Pinterest/Facebook/Twitter:
Vasana: It depends on the specifics I want for my project. There’s potential to
use these sites if I find some amazing ideas to showcase as and connect with
how I want to portray the abilities.
Becky: Would use because my project would be tweeted out by Alverno
Admissions Twitter page.
