Boomerang Kids Analysis
People my age are often referred to as the Lost Generation, Generation Y, and the Millennial's. Among these titles we also get 'lazy', 'directionless',
and 'entitled'. It seems like half of these names were given to us before we were even born, being grouped together with those who came before us.
While reading the article "Boomerang Kids: What Are the Causes of Generation Y's Growing Pains?" by Rosie Evans, she touched on the many reasons
why we 'Millennial's' might be the way we are.
While reading the article "Boomerang Kids", I was surprised with just how much I could relate to the article. Let's be honest most of the stuff we are
given to read can be as interesting as watch paint dry. Perhaps, its because I've never really been able to relate to it. From the student ... Show more

One thing I think they have failed to acknowledge is that when they were my age, their single family home was roughly 20 thousand dollars, that
if today sold would be almost four times that amount. As for going to college it's almost like a catch 22. You can either go to college with hopes of
being eligible for grants or scholarships or go into debt. The kind of debt that makes you consider selling a kidney on the black market type of debt.
According to the article 'Generation 'screwed'' nearly 52 percent of millennials lay awake at night thinking about the stress from everyday life and in
spite of all this debt and a college degree you still aren't guaranteed a job, or the other option try and find a job that pays more than minimum wage,

Why Boomerangs Come Back
Why do boomerangs come back?
When I was young, I thought boomerangs were magical. I wasn't sure if they actually worked in real life, so I decided to make my own to test the idea.
I took a pizza box, cut out a boomerang shape from it, and threw it. It didn't come back. I tried again and again, but I couldn't make it work. I was
bewildered as to why my boomerang didn't come back! As it turns out, I had constructed it incorrectly. I thought a boomerang was just a flat, v–shaped
piece of material, and my design was way off. But before we get into that, let's learn a little bit about the history of the boomerang.
Considered by many to be the earliest "heavier–than–air" flying machine invented by man, boomerangs have been around for more than ten thousand
years. Australia is known for having developed the boomerang, but the tool had widespread use throughout the ancient world. In ... Show more content

This is the question we will explore in my paper.
Boomerangs come back because, as I learned as a young child, they are more than just oddly–shaped sticks. The shape and structure of the wings and
the way they are joined together at the center are essential to their ability to turn in mid–air and come back to the thrower. Contrary to what you might
think, boomerangs aren't designed to work as a single piece of wood. They are made up of two or more carefully shaped wings that are connected at
the center. Each of these wings is designed to maximize (or increase) lift on one side.
"What is lift?", you might ask. The easiest way to explain the idea of lift is to compare a boomerang wing to an airplane wing. If you look at the
picture below, you will see that an airplane wing is curved along the top and flat along the bottom. This is the reason these massive machines can stay
in the air: The air that goes over the wing as the plane flies has to move faster than the air that goes below the wing in order for them to move past the
wing at the same

No More Boomerang Poem Analysis
"No More Boomerang" by Oodgeroo Noonuccal is a short poem about western European culture replaced Australia Indigenous culture. This poem
represented the struggle of Indigenous people. The poet conveyed a regretful tone to persuade readers to accept about the Indigenous culture. The
poem begin with an alliteration sentence, "No more boomerang no more spear. Now all civilized colour bar and beer." This sentence had shown the
overruling of Indigenous culture. The European want them to be a civilized nation. In this sentence, Indigenous people were represented as uncouth
and savages. The author also used a symbolism to show the control of Indigenous culture. "No more corroboree gay dance and din. Now we got
movies and pay to go in" are symbolic of the culture's changing, Indigenous people now have to pay for their entertainment. In this poem,... Show more

Because a good structural can make the poem more interesting, then it will be easy to remember for the readers. The main thing that the author
want to present is that European dominated their culture and lifestyle, although it was extremely disrespectful. One evidence is "No more firestick
that made whites scoff. Now all electric and no better off." It rhyming sentence had shown the whites were scoff about the Indigenous tools, and
replaced them into more advanced things. Another structural device is repetition. The start of the sentence in first two stanzas are "No more." And
"Now" For example the first stanza said "No more boomerang no more spear. Now all civilised colour bar and beer. No more corroboree gay dance
and din. Now we got movies and pay to go in." This repetition highlighted the difference of Indigenous life before and after the European came.
Before, Indigenous people were living free and joyful, but after the European came, they lost all of the freedom and they must living like western

Long before there was any written language, Aboriginals told stories and shared important information through cave paintings. Recently, archeologists
have dated some of these paintings to be around 75,000 years old – twice as old as any European cave paintings!
Now, to an untrained eye, Aboriginal art may seem random, but the art was actually very descriptive in how it passed information and stories down
from one generation to the next. The Aboriginal artists used shapes, figures and patterns to represent the animals of the Australian Outback, and to
draw maps of recognizable local landmarks. A lot of their art also carried the theme of "Dreamtime", which was the Aboriginal legend of when and
how the world was created.
Australia also happens to be a continent rich in naturally occurring dyes, which the Aboriginals used to incorporate bright colors in their paintings.
Using sticks to apply dots to their art, they created a distinct pointillistic style, a design feature found on most modern boomerangs.

Culture and Identity: Boomerang and Recycle
Throughout the Australia's history, the boomerang is one of most distinctive and representative symbol which is strongly associated with Aboriginal
culture.According to the research, Australia is not the birthplace of the boomerang. In fact, the boomerang has existed in other parts of the world for
thousands of years. (Kevin, 2015) It is speculated that the initial aim of developing boomerang is used by hunting animals. Although the older
boomerang as a hunting weapon has been used throughout Africa and Europe, Australian Aboriginal boomerangs already have ten thousands years of
history. (Kevin, 2015) With the development of boomerangs,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For instance, some environmentalists create recycled bags as a sustainable alternative for the purpose of reducing plastic bag usage on Gold Coast.
They use recycled material to make bags and provide to the local community by free. The bag has been named Boomerang Bags. (Solua, 2015)
Although it was difficult to change the behaviour of using plastic bags in Australia, in some ways these sachems and actives is likely to improve the
awareness of protecting our environment through their efforts. (Katrina, 2015)Consequently, the meaning of boomerang is no longer stay on the
surface; it also represents a deeper meaning associated with the social phenomenon and environmental change through the development of the society.

The Story Of Fun With Dick And Jane
The story of Fun with Dick and Jane is one about a very up–and–coming business man who loses his job as a result of his employer's economic
difficulty. Consequently, these circumstances leave his family not only in a financial crisis, but in clear and utter hopelessness. From the grass
literally being pulled out of their front yard to their home foreclosure, Dick and Jane faced tragic difficulties that many others faced in the recent
foreclosure crisis. Dick and Jane felt so desperate that they decided the most appropriate solution was stealing what they needed to feed their family.
This sense of desperation is what all those recovering from a foreclosure feel. Often times if families survive the immediate hardships of foreclosure,
then there are lasting ramifications such as poor credit, emotional stress, and the loss of their home that they must face. In addition, they will struggle
with obtaining future loans, be subject to higher interest rates, and subject to higher security deposits for utilities. These circumstances make it
entirely difficult to recover from foreclosure and next to impossible to own a home once again. However, among these trials there are methods those
recovering from a foreclosure can use to obtain a home such as a land contract. A land contract is a way to purchase a home with financing through the
seller rather than a bank. There is also a time period in which monthly payments are made, and at the end of that time the buyer must pay for the home.

When you thing of the teenagers for this generation; what come to your mind, there lazy, there never going to get a job and just live at their
parents' house for the rest for their life. When people compare the teens and young adults from around my age and a little bit older and then
compare them to the past generations. You will find a lot as change from the baby boomers to my generation Y lifestyle. Rosie Evans wrote an
article "Boomerang kids; What Are The Causes of Generation Y's Growing Pain;" In the article she goes over why there is a change in the
lifestyles of the youth. Which come to my main idea, why is there a big shift in how the youth grows from young adults to just adults. The
lifestyles has a huge impact in how the different generations has look at how we need to make the idea that why did the amount of young adults
have move out when they become the legal age to left from their parents to life on their own has move down in the coming years. Why is that,
maybe because more teens are going to college and when they move out of their house they are like the people that move out to live on their own
but the only different is that the Y generation is coming back when there done with college. The reason is that most of the young adults that just
graduated did not have jobs and they need a place to stay and even if they do have a job it make more sense to live with your mom and dad for free or
for a small amount of money for a money. Also the cost of living has

Oodgeroo Noonuccal No More Boomerang
Good morning, members of Mount Gravatt Show society. I, Anshaali Singh, am here to speak about a poem focussing on the Australian Aboriginal
peoples' histories and culture.
[READ OUT "NO MORE BOOMERANG..."]
No More Boomerang by Oodgeroo Noonuccal is an effective and captivating depiction of the gradual repression of the Aboriginal culture and
traditions. All of the traditional ways of life was replaced by the British ways. This act caused complications in the Aboriginal culture as there was a
huge gap where the 'white man' had taken over and supplanted everything that the Indigenous Australians knew. The theme of the poem is how the
Indigenous traditional ways were taken away. White man gave no hope of giving mercy. Furthermore the poem tells... Show more content on

The word 'no more in the poem is an emotive word as it shows the poem is sad, as it indicates the end of the traditional ways of doing things for the
Aboriginal people. The poet does not use punctuation to create emotion but the repetition of the word no more is used to send a strong message to
the readers. Juxtaposition [the fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect] is a major literary device used by the
writer. The author gives various comparisons of how things were done traditionally by the Aboriginal people and how the white men have replaced
so many of the traditional ways of life with their own. As written in No More Boomerang the simile, "And work like a nigg**, for a white men meal"
proves that the Aborigines were demeaned and discriminated against their colour and race. This was also due to the differences between the
upbringings of the Aboriginals and white men as the 'whites' thought they were superior to the Indigenous people as they[the white man] had been
brought up and lived life differently to the Indigenous people . Noonuccal has successfully used literary language to position the reader to empathize
with the Aboriginals.
The audience is positioned to feel guilty and sympathetic towards the Aboriginals as after reading the poem they realise the pain that the Indigenous
people have gone through during this changing phase of their lives. Some readers may have finally understood

Foreclosure Case For The Foreclosure Crisis
There were many people affected by the most recent recession and therefore forced to foreclose on their homes. Losing a home due to foreclosure
leaves a big black eye on an individual's credit score and forces these people to be patient until they are approved to rejoin the housing market.
"Boomerang buyers" are a group of potential homeowners who are re–entering the housing market after losing their homes due to foreclosure. Renting
to own can be a valuable solution to the boomerang buyer with tainted credit. The benefits far outweigh the other options for these buyers. During a
3 to 5 year period of renting a home, an individual's credit can improve and open up possibilities of homeownership. This allows the potential
homeowner time to prove they are reliable. Since a foreclosure stays on your credit report for 7 years the person is going to need a place to stay.
With a "foreclosure" attached to their name they will not be able to hop into another house right away. This is the perfect window for someone to get
his or her feet back under themselves while chipping away at owning another home. The built–in time frame of renting to own is a great way to practice
patience as well. There are many reasons why a home forecloses. A possible reason could be due to the fact that it was not a well thought out
purchase. With more time and preparation, the boomerang buyer might have been able to buy a more suitable home that would have allowed them to
avoid foreclosure. Since they

Is Being A ' Boomerang Buyer ' A Strong Choice?
Is being a 'Boomerang Buyer' a strong choice? Google defines being a boomerang buyer as someone who is "heading back to the housing market
instead of finding out they have to make down payments of at least 20 percent to qualify for a loan, but others are discovering opportunities to pay
less." I am familiar with the term but as a 20 year old college student, I disagree with the choice. I am not an accountant or even a business major, I am
actually going to major on the preforming arts side which is the total opposite side of the spectrum. My mother never taught me how to budget my
money either but something about not even making the 20 percent down payment doesn't seem right to me. Most people pay the 20 percent down
payment and then pay off a loan for the next 30 years to earn the title of their home, or at least that is what I have heard. That means that each year,
you would be paying about 2.67 percent of the cost of the remaining 80 percent and of course you have those little loan fees (little is being used
sarcastically). If I cannot afford the 20 percent or even be able to save it up, why would I be forced to be paying on a house for over another 10
years on top of the 30 years I already have. Most of my life, I lived in apartments. My mother was a young, single mother who raised 3 girls without a
dime from our father. It's not that my mother couldn't afford a house, she just didn't want one. By the time my mother got us out of cheaper looking
apartments to

Adolf Hitler Research Paper
In 1939, Germany had invaded Czechoslovakia and was planning on invading Poland. Hitler knew that invading Poland meant war with Britain,
France, and the Soviet Union, which would have been difficult to win. To avoid this, Germany and the Soviet Union signed a non–aggression pact
agreeing to not take any military action against each other. "A secret clause in the Nazi– Soviet pact of August 1939 provided for the patrician of Poland
between Germany and the Soviet Union" (Merridale 72). Germany and the Soviet Union became allies, deciding to split up their shares of Poland.
However, some people, like cartoonist Daniel Brustlein, did not believe that this relationship would last. The purpose of this cartoon is to act as a

Hitler's features are drawn as innocent and almost childlike. This characteristic speaks to the date of the cartoon. In 1939 Hitler was not seen as a
large threat. To some, he was just a crazy politician. By drawing Hitler in a cute way, Alain can insult Hitler. Also, Alain might be commenting on
Hitler's childlike behavior; Hitler does what he wants without thinking about the consequences. In contrast to the innocent Hitler, Stalin is very stern.
His hand is in a military pose and he almost looks angry. In the cartoon, Stalin might be angry that Germany betrayed him by throwing the
boomerang. However, in context of the year Germany had not yet done anything to upset the Soviet Union so this is just a prediction of the future.
Hitler, hit on the head by the boomerang, was not expecting it to come back. He underestimated the strength of the Soviet Union and it came back to
hurt him. A flaw of Hitler's later in the war was that he misjudged the Soviet Union. Overy says that "Hitler believed nothing less than that the Soviet
Union could be defeated in four months" (Overy 13). Hitler's belief that the Soviet Union was weak is a flaw that can be seen even before he decided

Euphemism In 'Boomerang' By Lyfe Jennings
The song I've chosen to interpret was "Boomerang" by Lyfe Jennings. The boomerang effect is an euphemism. As we learned in our discussion that
it's a nicer way to say something to someone without being offensive or, coming off as harsh. The meaning of boomerang is other way of saying
what comes around goes around. What you do to others, will always comeback to you in the long run. Some refer to it as karma which is also a
euphemism. In the song Lyfe Jennings was basically saying that he didn't understand how being heartbroken felt until it happened to him. He didn't
realize the pain he caused others until someone made him fell the same way. He than understood how it felt to be in love with someone who hurts you

at this age when they are financially unstable and lack the resources to become independent. They see that they have let themselves down and can no

that boomerang generations may affect are privacy in the parent's home, insecurity and fear of their child's future. With young adults moving back
home, some parents may feel that their privacy and peace is being impeded. They can no longer have the privacy in their own home that they use to
have when their children were not living there, they can no longer be as intimate with one another and may feel insecure about their child's lack of
maturity. Having their children live with them may lead to young adults not becoming responsible when it is time for them to live independently once
again, they may fear of failing again and will instead decide to live with their parents much longer than expected, ultimately affecting the parents lives
by being unable to have their own privacy,

message. An examples of this is "No more message–stick, lubras and lads, Got television now, mostly ads." This part of a stanza provides evidence that
during the aboriginal times for entertainment or pleasure they had message–sticks, lubras and lads, whereas nowadays people have television to use,
mostly containing ads, for enjoyment. This is one examples that the poems provides that illustrate for us how the times of the old is being replaced by

The Economic Crisis Of Boomerang Buyers
Several years ago, the United States experienced an economic disaster like no one has ever seen before. This economic crisis left families devastated,
broken and in disbelief as they were being escorted and locked out of their homes in the presenceof neighbors, families, and children. During the
economic crisis, the current "boomerang buyers"were not able to meet their financial obligations, and as a result lost their homes to foreclosure, and
many had to file bankruptcy.Purchasing a home with bad credit is difficult, but not impossible. As these foreclosure victims try to reconstruct their
lives, it is imperative they reestablish good credit.

Therefore, with distance (minimum two years) between the prior foreclosure event and locating a potential new home, the "boomerang buyer" is facing
the opportunity of a lifetime to buy a home again(Martin).
Current boomerang buyers" are opting to rent–to own as a possible way to procure a home.According to an article, entitled How to Buy A House Using
A Lease, "Rent–to–own is a good option for foreclosure victims with poor credit" (MediaWiki).Rent–to–own "usually require buyers to pay extra rents
each month plus up–front fees of about 5% of the purchase price. The regular rent then goes in owner 's pocket (presumably to pay the mortgage), but
the additional payments are used to buy down the price of the home" (Christie).
The buyer should save for a down payment, address credit issues and pay off existing debts before buying. Rent–to own afford the "boomerang
buyers" time to assess their finances to figure out:
"If they have enough money to come up with the down payment;"
"If they have enough money to pay the mortgage;"
"If they have the income to invest;"
"If there is enough money to meet other expenses;" and
"Most importantly, if they plan to stay in the house." (Christie) There are several benefits to lease options. During the period of the lease, the
"boomerang buyer" has time to put their finances in order, thus reducing the stress of paying a mortgage. Also the prospective buyer has an opportunity

10 Ways to Deal with Boomerang Depression It's no secret that many young adults are returning to the home that they grew up in. While many
adults are choosing to stay home and never leave the nest, this article specifically addresses the boomerang effect: your young adult leaves home,
finds life on their own overwhelming, and they retreat back to the parents' home in search of sanctuary and support. Some parents may find this to be
satisfactory, while others do not. This article is about boomerang 'kids.' However, these people are adults, not children, and not kids. Call them what

New Opportunities And Safe Loan Standards For Home Ownership
As American as apple pie, home ownership is a quintessential part of many American's dream. Making this dream a reality requires hard work,
perseverance, and an understanding of the housing market and loan options. It also requires a confidence in the economy and job market that many
people justifiably do not have after a devastating housing crash. However, as our nation recovers from this crisis, we look ahead to new opportunities
and safe loan standards for home ownership. "Like a boomerang," a Sarasota Herald Tribune article describes "...recession–battered [boomerang
buyers] are reentering the home market in droves after years of renting, nursing their credit and saving enough to buy again" (Salman). Both boomerang
buyers and first time ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Understandably, these factors are affecting many potential new home buyers who feel home ownership may be too risky and potential boomerang
buyers who feel little hope for owning again after foreclosure. What these potential buyers may not know is that the housing market is rapidly
gaining strength and security and home loans are available to boomerang buyers in as little as twelve months. An article titled "Boomerang buyers
could boost housing market" not only states that people reentering the housing market after a foreclosure or short sale are able to qualify for
loans, but they are necessary for the continued stability of the market. The article also states that "Under the Federal Housing Administration's
(FHA) "Back to Work" program, it will approve certain borrowers for a home loan just one year after a foreclosure, short sale, deed in lieu of
foreclosure or bankruptcy¬¬¬¬¬¬¬." This time period has been reduced from two or three years for those individuals who lost their
homes due to a job loss or other qualifying financial hardship (Miller). For potential new buyers, it is a great time to buy as interest rates are at a
historic low. USA Today reports that buying a home is 44 percent cheaper in many major metro cities and with "interest

The Physics of Boomerangs Essay
The Physics of Boomerangs The successful flight of a boomerang looks as though it never should happen. Its more or less circular flight path comes
from the interaction of two physical phenomena: the aerodynamic lift of the arms of the boomerang and the spinning boomerang's maintenance of
angular momentum. Briefly put, the airfoil at the boomerang's forward rotating edge provides more lift than its rearward rotating edge. This elevates
one side of the boomerang. The spinning object maintains angular momentum by turning at a right angle to its axis of rotation. When the spin and the
velocity of boomerang are just right, it flies away and returns in an aesthetically satisfying circle.
The boomerang's distinctive flight starts with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But when a fluid encounters an obstruction in an open situation––a current in a river hitting a stick or an airfoil in the air––the same general rule
applies. As the fluid accelerates around an object, its pressure decreases. If an airfoil is moving through the air, then the air accelerates as it goes
over it. If the air foil were symmetrical, the air pressure would drop on both sides and the foil would have no net force acting on it. But if one side
of a foil were curved and the other flat, then the pressure on the curved side would be less and the foil would be drawn in the direction of the lower
air pressure (or the higher pressure on the flat side would push the foil in the direction of the curved side). For example, when rules allow, race cars
have an upside down foil along their bottoms to increase down force and with it, their cornering ability. Much more commonly, airplane wings and
helicopter rotors use the curved foil to create low pressure areas on their top sides to allow the higher pressure under the wing/rotor to push the wing
/rotor upward.
The introductory chapter of John Allen's Aerodynamics: The Science of Air in Motion describes a complex interaction between the object the the air in
motion around it. He explains that the

Summary Of Boomerang Kids
Would you choose to backpack across the country with all expenses paid or enter the work field as an underpaid employee? In an article,
"Boomerang Kids: What are the Causes of Generation Y's Growing Pains" written by Rosie Evans, she expresses her feelings on the issue of the
Generation Y's challenges of entering adulthood in today's society. Clearly, anyone born between the 1980's to 2000's is considered to be a part of
the Generation Y or Millennial generation. Therefore, the reluctances of the Millennial's and entering adulthood has brought concern to the Baby
Boomer generation and society as a whole. In the article, Evans refers to two articles, the first article, Henig's 2010 New York Times article "What Is
It About 20–Somethings?" and the second article, blogger Scammed Hard! "What's Wrong with 20 Somethings?" both discussion pieces express

The types of problems in which they are faced with include being turned down due to their poor credit score and, if approved, they are being faced
with higher than average interest rates which make the payments more difficult and less appealing. (Leopard). Even though they are financially
stable and are able to make the payments, it is difficult to be approved for a loan in this cautious economy. There are several ways to work around
these struggles. The first and most obvious method is to rebuild their credit report. This will make future loan request simpler; and they will have a
higher chance of being approved for new credit cards. The second method is to pursue a rent–to–own contract. This pathway is easier for approval due
to the fact that most of these types of contracts are done by the owner of the home. The third method is by seeking assistance from the federal
government through the HUD program. The best place to start rebuilding one's credit is to be cautious with money. Freddie Mac says people who
are seeking to rebuild their credit should create a spending and saving plan. They suggest people should only spend money as needed. Boomerang
buyers should pay their necessary bills, eliminate any unnecessary payments, and save as much money as possible. In order to improve their credit,
individuals will need to pay their bills on time and lower their overall debt. Freddie

Boomerang Effect Research Paper
The Boomerang Effect: For individuals who are not kidding about getting in shape, it is by and large not very hard to figure out how to drop a
noteworthy number of pounds. Be that as it may, it is difficult to trick the body for long. In a dominant part of cases, not exclusively do individuals
put on back all the weight they figured out how to lose, they wind up including a bigger number of pounds than they conveyed in any case. Why does
this happen?
Individuals erroneously view being overweight or fat as an issue unto itself, as opposed to seeing it for what it truly is, which is an indication of
weakness, and also a hidden unsettling influence with the digestion system of protein, starch, and fat. Crash eating less carbs and fast weight reduction is

Magic Boomerang Short Story
In a faraway land called Australia lived a tribe of aboriginals called the Luritja people. The land they lived on was harsh and very hot but they had
adapted over hundreds of years to be able to survive in this rough country. They caught fish, hunted kangaroos, wallabies, lizards and snakes. In this
tribe lived a boy called Charlie and he spent his days playing with the other boys in the tribe, learning to fish, hunt, track animals and he even learned
what animals made the footprints in the red dirt. His uncle would tell him stories of long ago (these are called Dreamtime stories) and he would sit
really still so he could listen to the whole story and not miss any of it. His grandfather made him a spear that he could practice with and although it
was not as large as his father's spear it could still be used to hunt small creatures like lizards.
One day while Charlie watched his older brother practice throwing a boomerang and making it return to him. He thought this must be a magical
boomerang and he wanted a magic one too but he did not know how he would get it. His father told him he was too small for a boomerang as he
would not be able to throw it and have it return to him. Charlie thought that was not fair he really wanted a magic boomerang and no one was going
to help him so he decided he would make one for himself and it would be a magic one.
Charlie walked over to the little house where his grandfather lived (in the aboriginal language these are called humpies). His

Doc Zone Film Failure To Launch
I have never thought much about my future beyond going to university, but after watching the Doc Zone documentary, Generation Boomerang, and the
Hollywood film, Failure to Launch, I have gotten a better understanding of how our society currently works, especially for young adults. From this
perspective I think that I will also become a boomerang adult in the future, like many other Canadians. This is actually pretty obvious primarily
because my family is very traditional among Chinese families. It is a rule to live at home until marriage. Even moving out to go to university is
discouraged in my family. The only modification to this is that I am allowed to move out if I move in with a boyfriend who I am in a serious
relationship with. In addition,

The Primary Difficulty Facing Boomerang Buyers
The primary difficulty facing "Boomerang Buyers" is the bad credit that is haunting them. The best way to get out from under that cloud that follows
them is to demonstrate good financial sense. A rental option is a good tool for this. You can negotiate rates and lengths of contracts to fit with what the
"Boomerang Buyer" can comfortably agree to. The downside of this traditional arrangement is that at the end of the rental period there is nothing other
than improved credit ratings to show for the money expended. A rent–to–own option on the other hand sits in the middle between a pure rental and a
pure mortgage. You can negotiate your rental rates and contract terms like with a rentalproperty but a portion of the monthly payments is turning into a
potential asset if financial circumstances still hold positive over the period of the contract. The other benefit to the "Boomerang Buyer" is that as long
as they have not over contracted themselves for rent they can walk away from the investment without suffering legal action and credit consequences.
The current housing market while not quite as oversupplied as during 2007–2009 is still leaning in that direction in some parts of the country. This
means that there are those who have mortgages on homes that they would like to keep but are overextended on. These homeowners would be likely
candidates for the "Boomerang Buyers" to approach and suggest the idea of a rent–to–own arrangement. Research needs to be done to determine if the

The empty nest – a feeling of grief and loneliness that many parents feel when their children grow up and leave home – is becoming rare, mainly across
the entire Western countries. In reality, the nest has never been so ordered. Insofar as this is the case, that the possibility to find young adults still
living in parental home is increasing globally, moreover the demographic prognosis show the continuity of these trends, according to recent studies.
This behavior's increment has been a modern phenomenon – so–called 'boomerang kid' (a young adult who returns after leaving) or 'failure to launch
children' (the ones who never leaved) – and has fast growing in the last decades. Parents, educators and researches debate whether living with parents

Boomerang Buyers Research Paper
Owning that little home on the corner with the white picket fence and big oak tree in the front yard has always been the American dream, but for
some unfortunate home owners hit by the recession and housing crisis several years ago, it now seemed more like a nightmare. Imagine, after years of
hard work, finally having your very own home only to have it ripped out from under you through foreclosure or short sale. This very scenario happened
to countless thousands in towns across the country.
With no other option, poor credit, no money for a down payment, these people were left to find rentals. This may have been a good temporary
solution, but with rents increasing to levels higher than most mortgage payments, it is quickly becoming less and less attractive. Not to mention that
this group of previous home owners has had a taste of what it feels like to own their own home, and they don't want to give up the hope of having that
again.
Now enter the "Boomerang Buyer" (BB). This is a relatively new term that we are hearing more and more often. One of the newest trends in the Real
Estate market today, is the reemergence of these gun–shy homebuyers. "Boomerang Buyers" are those people who lost their residence when the
economy crashed due to reduced or loss of income or other unforeseen hardship and have since tried to re–build their credit, and save a down payment
to re–enter the buyer's market.

Tip: The boomerangs fly best when pinched by two fingers in the middle and flicked with the creased edge forward.
To paint the boomerangs, use the wooden end of the paintbrush to create an Aboriginal–esk dot pattern in green and black.
CLEAN UP AND WRAP UP (whole group discussion)
Rinse out brushes and paint palettes and lead a short wrap–up discussion:
What was it like painting in dots?
Did you design an abstract pattern, form a recognizable shape or tell a story?
How is the boomerang able to fly back? (Because of their special curved shape, the two wings of the boomerang spin and create unbalanced
aerodynamic forces. This disproportionate "lift" on the boomerang causes its flight path to form an egg shape, returning it to the thrower. Also, see the
STEM extension to go deeper into this question.)
ART EXTENSIONS
Practice the traditional dot–style of boomerang art and make the shape of an animal on the boomerang.

The Effects Of Depression On The Children 's Well Being
The purpose of Daphna Hernandez analysis is to understand if there is any correlation with fathers that come and in and out of their lives and with
the level of stress their daughter endures. Depression is said to be a disorder that affects the body, mood, and the way of thinking which is stated in
Depressive Disorders by psychology today. Depression can have negative consequences to the children's well–being. A child that has depression can
have poor school performance, can be law–breaker, and have low self–esteem. As I have learned in psychology 100, people need to have the sense

I Am A Boomerang Buyer
I am a boomerang buyer. I lost my home in 2011, due to health issues and was not able to come up with the money to catch up. I felt defeated by
this loss, this was my first home that I have lived in and brought on my home after being discharged from the military. Then to try to rent from any
one, after this was the hardest thing to do, I had to make sure I had my old doctor's notes so that companies would see that I am not just another
foreclosure victim. Since the foreclosure I have thought long and hard about trying to buy another house and what would my steps I would take.
However, the thoughts of foreclosure have loomed over my head and made me have my doubts about ever being a homeowner ever again.
Foreclosure is a very scary thing and to be honest at times it is a very embarrassing moment of your life. It's not something that you want to
announce to the world and sometimes the stresses of dealing with the foreclosure is too much. I have known people who have given up all hopes
after going through a foreclosure. Having a foreclosure on your credit report is very discouraging especially after knowing that you fought so hard
to try to keep your house being foreclosed. After going through foreclosure you feel defeated, however with every storm comes a rainbow. Sometimes
going through a foreclosure is what you need to put your life in perspective. What can you change in your life so that you never have to go through
this again? What would I do differently if I had the

Solving The Foreclosure Crisis Of Boomerang Buyers
There are three aspects to the damage done to homeowners in the recent foreclosure crisis. First, their credit ratings were damaged. Second, their
personal financial situations were damaged. And, third, their investment confidence was damaged. All three aspects of homeowners' post–foreclosure
stress disorder have to be addressed before boomerang buyers will be ready to return to the mortgage market.
In reverse order, the first step is to overcome the lack of confidence that frequently results from loss of a home to foreclosure. The easiest way to
overcome that lack of confidence is education. Boomerang buyers need to take full advantage of all resources available to them to learn as much as
possible about the current credit and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Coupled with aggressive mortgage marketing was a population of overly "flexible" appraisers providing inflated appraisals. Boomerang buyers should
naturally be and must be especially diligent about understanding all of the requirements and implications of any new mortgage.
For example, there are mortgage products available through the Federal Housing Administration, the Department of Veteran Affairs, and Department of
Agriculture. As Greg McBride, senior financial analyst at Bankrate.com, said in 2012, "These are not mainstream programs geared for mainstream
borrowers." These loans typically carry a higher interest rate than conventional mortgages, but conventional mortgages require a minimum credit score
of 720, a significant down payment, and proof of income. On the other hand, the FHA "FICO 500" project established in 2010 permits a minimum
credit score of 500 and a minimum down payment of 10%, and the "FICO 580" program requires a minimum credit score of 580, with only a 3.5%
downpayment. Both programs require mortgage insurance, and a surcharge premium on the outstanding balance.
And, in 2013, the Department of Housing and Urban Development announced a new rule regarding credit scores and FHA loans: Loan applications
for borrowers with FICO scores below 620 and a

The Foreclosure Crisis Of Foreclosure
When the real estate value began to drop in 2007, hundreds of thousands of Americans were evicted from their homes through foreclosure or short
sales; giving way to one of the deepest economic collapses in more than half a century. Now a large amount of borrowers are starting to bounce back.
Like a boomerang, these battered borrowers are re–entering the home market after years of renting, nursing their credit and saving enough to buy
again; but in a economy like this that we could say now is sort of "stable" is it smart going all in on another mortgage or better going with the
"rent–to–own".The house market has started to rise again, and for so saying that, many boomerang buyers are heading back to the housing market.
People who go through foreclosure can rebuild credit records and qualify for home loans again in three to seven years if they manage their finances
well. With many home prices still at low prices and interest rates near record lows, today's boomerang buyers might even find their next mortgage
more affordable than the one before. Most of boomerang buyers are around areas such as California and Arizona where the house market took the
hardest hit by foreclosures, and their return is contributing to rebounds in those markets. Going forward, many growing numbers of boomerang buyers
could help the offset the expected slackening in demand from investors as home prices start to rise, says Stan Humphries, economist for real estate
website Zillow.

You Can Call Me A Boomerang Buyer
You can call me a "boomerang buyer." I just recently heard of this term, and it describes me perfectly. You see, a few years back I bought a home with

my job. Top all that off with the fact that my ARMloan adjusted three years into ownership, and it was the perfect recipe for disaster.
Hence, I lost my home. I moved into an apartment. Thankfully, my income bounced back. It's been three years now, so I qualify for a FHA loan.
Thus, I am about to become a "boomerang buyer." Unfortunately for me, the market has rebounded so well in Denver, Colorado, were I live that I

If something broke in my apartment, I just called the leasing office. It was a relief after a long day's work not to come home and take care of a house.
I liked the maintenance free lifestyle so much, I even called them to replace my lightbulbs!
As a result of the real estate crisis, I think the nation as a whole learned a few lessons. First and foremost, have stricter guidelines and tighter lending
standards. Do the appropriate screening for borrowers. Do not loan money to someone with an uncertain ability to repay. In my particular situation,
at the time of my loan application, I was receiving $950.00 per month in maintenance payments from a recent divorce. Documentation was
submitted to the bank that the maintenance payments were temporary and would cease in three years. They would stop at the very same time that
the ARM would adjust. Who in the world thinks that is a good idea??? I certainly didn't. I knew I was getting a bogus loan, but they were willing
to give it to me, so I was going to take it. I was fresh from divorce and all of a sudden the primary breadwinner. I needed somewhere for my daughter

The Housing Crisis Of Boomerang Buyers
Following the 2006–2008 housing market crash, 4.8 million of homeowners lost their most valuable assessment to foreclosure, and another 2.8
milliongave up their homes in short sales. These former homeowners that are reentering the housing market after losing their homes during the housing
market financial crisis are now part of a wave of "boomerang buyers." According to Real Estate experts, boomerang buyers who are returning to the
market were at least 10 percent of all United States home purchases during 2014. More important, this trend is expected to increase in 2015 and
2016 as more boomerang buyers become eligible for new options to get their dream homes again. The unquestionable fact is that a great majority of
boomerang buyers are hardworking, honest people that got caught in the middle of one of the biggest housing crisis that occurred in the last 100
years. Fortunately, those housing crisis' victims are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel since several options are becoming available to
them in order to get back into home ownership. Among these options, I like to explore some available avenues for those boomerang borrowers to
include the rent to own option, Veterans Affairs backed loans, and owners financing option. First of all, the rent to own option is a superb option that
allows the renters to apply the monthly rent to the purchase of the house. Renting to own, otherwise known as a lease–option, allow those people that

Boomerang Kid Essay
Boomerang Kids: Market dynamics and moving back home. About 15 million young adults were reported living with their parents last year and
according to the U.S. Department of Labor, "the unemployment rate for bachelor 's degree holders under the age of 27 is the worst since 1983"
(CBS News). Those young adults are now called "boomerang kids". So what do you do when you graduate without a job lined up? You used to go
back home to try to save money or to try to repay some loans, that's old news. Now, it's different. You go back home because you just can't find a job,
period. How can this be avoided? Well, according to Rich Morin, senior editor at the Pew Research Center in DC, "This recession has hit young adults

Indeed according to him: " As president, Mr. Obama should use his bully pulpit to undermine the bachelor's degree as a job qualification." (565)
Instead, we should "substitute certification tests, which would provide evidence that the applicant has acquired the skills the employer needs." (567)
In theory, this is a good idea except it's unrealistic. Think about how many "certification tests" employers would have to create for every different
position; not to mention the hours they would have to put in watching people take tests, creating new tests every year and making sure the tests are
up to date. It is too much of a hassle. In addition, a lot of students would drop out of college, universities would lose money and their qualifications
wouldn't even be universally recognized. Back to the subject, would this even make that the boomeranging kids rate drop? Probably not, because even
though a whopping 85% of college seniors planned to move back home with their parents after graduation last May, according to a poll by
Twentysomething Inc., at least they had a degree. Kids are moving back home because high unemployment –nearly 15% for those ages 20–24 – has
made finding a job nearly impossible. Undermining the Bachelor degree would not fix unemployment; on the contrary I think it would make it worse.
The other cause of high boomerang kids rate is the rising of the student loan interest rate. For students out of college, it is harder and harder to

Boomerang Kids Analysis

  • 1. Boomerang Kids Analysis People my age are often referred to as the Lost Generation, Generation Y, and the Millennial's. Among these titles we also get 'lazy', 'directionless', and 'entitled'. It seems like half of these names were given to us before we were even born, being grouped together with those who came before us. While reading the article "Boomerang Kids: What Are the Causes of Generation Y's Growing Pains?" by Rosie Evans, she touched on the many reasons why we 'Millennial's' might be the way we are. While reading the article "Boomerang Kids", I was surprised with just how much I could relate to the article. Let's be honest most of the stuff we are given to read can be as interesting as watch paint dry. Perhaps, its because I've never really been able to relate to it. From the student ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One thing I think they have failed to acknowledge is that when they were my age, their single family home was roughly 20 thousand dollars, that if today sold would be almost four times that amount. As for going to college it's almost like a catch 22. You can either go to college with hopes of being eligible for grants or scholarships or go into debt. The kind of debt that makes you consider selling a kidney on the black market type of debt. According to the article 'Generation 'screwed'' nearly 52 percent of millennials lay awake at night thinking about the stress from everyday life and in spite of all this debt and a college degree you still aren't guaranteed a job, or the other option try and find a job that pays more than minimum wage, that offers dental insurance. It seems that most of us are just trying to survive ourselves, yet were expected to have relationships, start families, and live the American ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Why Boomerangs Come Back Why do boomerangs come back? When I was young, I thought boomerangs were magical. I wasn't sure if they actually worked in real life, so I decided to make my own to test the idea. I took a pizza box, cut out a boomerang shape from it, and threw it. It didn't come back. I tried again and again, but I couldn't make it work. I was bewildered as to why my boomerang didn't come back! As it turns out, I had constructed it incorrectly. I thought a boomerang was just a flat, v–shaped piece of material, and my design was way off. But before we get into that, let's learn a little bit about the history of the boomerang. Considered by many to be the earliest "heavier–than–air" flying machine invented by man, boomerangs have been around for more than ten thousand years. Australia is known for having developed the boomerang, but the tool had widespread use throughout the ancient world. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is the question we will explore in my paper. Boomerangs come back because, as I learned as a young child, they are more than just oddly–shaped sticks. The shape and structure of the wings and the way they are joined together at the center are essential to their ability to turn in mid–air and come back to the thrower. Contrary to what you might think, boomerangs aren't designed to work as a single piece of wood. They are made up of two or more carefully shaped wings that are connected at the center. Each of these wings is designed to maximize (or increase) lift on one side. "What is lift?", you might ask. The easiest way to explain the idea of lift is to compare a boomerang wing to an airplane wing. If you look at the picture below, you will see that an airplane wing is curved along the top and flat along the bottom. This is the reason these massive machines can stay in the air: The air that goes over the wing as the plane flies has to move faster than the air that goes below the wing in order for them to move past the wing at the same ... • 3. No More Boomerang Poem Analysis "No More Boomerang" by Oodgeroo Noonuccal is a short poem about western European culture replaced Australia Indigenous culture. This poem represented the struggle of Indigenous people. The poet conveyed a regretful tone to persuade readers to accept about the Indigenous culture. The poem begin with an alliteration sentence, "No more boomerang no more spear. Now all civilized colour bar and beer." This sentence had shown the overruling of Indigenous culture. The European want them to be a civilized nation. In this sentence, Indigenous people were represented as uncouth and savages. The author also used a symbolism to show the control of Indigenous culture. "No more corroboree gay dance and din. Now we got movies and pay to go in" are symbolic of the culture's changing, Indigenous people now have to pay for their entertainment. In this poem,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because a good structural can make the poem more interesting, then it will be easy to remember for the readers. The main thing that the author want to present is that European dominated their culture and lifestyle, although it was extremely disrespectful. One evidence is "No more firestick that made whites scoff. Now all electric and no better off." It rhyming sentence had shown the whites were scoff about the Indigenous tools, and replaced them into more advanced things. Another structural device is repetition. The start of the sentence in first two stanzas are "No more." And "Now" For example the first stanza said "No more boomerang no more spear. Now all civilised colour bar and beer. No more corroboree gay dance and din. Now we got movies and pay to go in." This repetition highlighted the difference of Indigenous life before and after the European came. Before, Indigenous people were living free and joyful, but after the European came, they lost all of the freedom and they must living like western ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Long before there was any written language, Aboriginals told stories and shared important information through cave paintings. Recently, archeologists have dated some of these paintings to be around 75,000 years old – twice as old as any European cave paintings! Now, to an untrained eye, Aboriginal art may seem random, but the art was actually very descriptive in how it passed information and stories down from one generation to the next. The Aboriginal artists used shapes, figures and patterns to represent the animals of the Australian Outback, and to draw maps of recognizable local landmarks. A lot of their art also carried the theme of "Dreamtime", which was the Aboriginal legend of when and how the world was created. Australia also happens to be a continent rich in naturally occurring dyes, which the Aboriginals used to incorporate bright colors in their paintings. Using sticks to apply dots to their art, they created a distinct pointillistic style, a design feature found on most modern boomerangs. Boomerang Research Paper Culture and Identity: Boomerang and Recycle Throughout the Australia's history, the boomerang is one of most distinctive and representative symbol which is strongly associated with Aboriginal culture.According to the research, Australia is not the birthplace of the boomerang. In fact, the boomerang has existed in other parts of the world for thousands of years. (Kevin, 2015) It is speculated that the initial aim of developing boomerang is used by hunting animals. Although the older boomerang as a hunting weapon has been used throughout Africa and Europe, Australian Aboriginal boomerangs already have ten thousands years of history. • 8. The Story Of Fun With Dick And Jane The story of Fun with Dick and Jane is one about a very up–and–coming business man who loses his job as a result of his employer's economic difficulty. Consequently, these circumstances leave his family not only in a financial crisis, but in clear and utter hopelessness. From the grass literally being pulled out of their front yard to their home foreclosure, Dick and Jane faced tragic difficulties that many others faced in the recent foreclosure crisis. Dick and Jane felt so desperate that they decided the most appropriate solution was stealing what they needed to feed their family. This sense of desperation is what all those recovering from a foreclosure feel. Often times if families survive the immediate hardships of foreclosure, then there are lasting ramifications such as poor credit, emotional stress, and the loss of their home that they must face. In addition, they will struggle with obtaining future loans, be subject to higher interest rates, and subject to higher security deposits for utilities. These circumstances make it entirely difficult to recover from foreclosure and next to impossible to own a home once again. However, among these trials there are methods those recovering from a foreclosure can use to obtain a home such as a land contract. A land contract is a way to purchase a home with financing through the seller rather than a bank. There is also a time period in which monthly payments are made, and at the end of that time the buyer must pay for the home. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Analysis Of The Article ' Boomerang Kids ' What Are The... When you thing of the teenagers for this generation; what come to your mind, there lazy, there never going to get a job and just live at their parents' house for the rest for their life. When people compare the teens and young adults from around my age and a little bit older and then compare them to the past generations. You will find a lot as change from the baby boomers to my generation Y lifestyle. Rosie Evans wrote an article "Boomerang kids; What Are The Causes of Generation Y's Growing Pain;" In the article she goes over why there is a change in the lifestyles of the youth. Which come to my main idea, why is there a big shift in how the youth grows from young adults to just adults. The lifestyles has a huge impact in how the different generations has look at how we need to make the idea that why did the amount of young adults have move out when they become the legal age to left from their parents to life on their own has move down in the coming years. Why is that, maybe because more teens are going to college and when they move out of their house they are like the people that move out to live on their own but the only different is that the Y generation is coming back when there done with college. The reason is that most of the young adults that just graduated did not have jobs and they need a place to stay and even if they do have a job it make more sense to live with your mom and dad for free or for a small amount of money for a money. • 10. Oodgeroo Noonuccal No More Boomerang Good morning, members of Mount Gravatt Show society. I, Anshaali Singh, am here to speak about a poem focussing on the Australian Aboriginal peoples' histories and culture. [READ OUT "NO MORE BOOMERANG..."] No More Boomerang by Oodgeroo Noonuccal is an effective and captivating depiction of the gradual repression of the Aboriginal culture and traditions. All of the traditional ways of life was replaced by the British ways. This act caused complications in the Aboriginal culture as there was a huge gap where the 'white man' had taken over and supplanted everything that the Indigenous Australians knew. The theme of the poem is how the Indigenous traditional ways were taken away. White man gave no hope of giving mercy. Furthermore the poem tells... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The word 'no more in the poem is an emotive word as it shows the poem is sad, as it indicates the end of the traditional ways of doing things for the Aboriginal people. The poet does not use punctuation to create emotion but the repetition of the word no more is used to send a strong message to the readers. Juxtaposition [the fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect] is a major literary device used by the writer. The author gives various comparisons of how things were done traditionally by the Aboriginal people and how the white men have replaced so many of the traditional ways of life with their own. As written in No More Boomerang the simile, "And work like a nigg**, for a white men meal" proves that the Aborigines were demeaned and discriminated against their colour and race. This was also due to the differences between the upbringings of the Aboriginals and white men as the 'whites' thought they were superior to the Indigenous people as they[the white man] had been brought up and lived life differently to the Indigenous people . Noonuccal has successfully used literary language to position the reader to empathize with the Aboriginals. The audience is positioned to feel guilty and sympathetic towards the Aboriginals as after reading the poem they realise the pain that the Indigenous people have gone through during this changing phase of their lives. Some readers may have finally understood ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Foreclosure Case For The Foreclosure Crisis There were many people affected by the most recent recession and therefore forced to foreclose on their homes. Losing a home due to foreclosure leaves a big black eye on an individual's credit score and forces these people to be patient until they are approved to rejoin the housing market. "Boomerang buyers" are a group of potential homeowners who are re–entering the housing market after losing their homes due to foreclosure. Renting to own can be a valuable solution to the boomerang buyer with tainted credit. The benefits far outweigh the other options for these buyers. During a 3 to 5 year period of renting a home, an individual's credit can improve and open up possibilities of homeownership. This allows the potential homeowner time to prove they are reliable. Since a foreclosure stays on your credit report for 7 years the person is going to need a place to stay. With a "foreclosure" attached to their name they will not be able to hop into another house right away. This is the perfect window for someone to get his or her feet back under themselves while chipping away at owning another home. The built–in time frame of renting to own is a great way to practice patience as well. There are many reasons why a home forecloses. A possible reason could be due to the fact that it was not a well thought out purchase. With more time and preparation, the boomerang buyer might have been able to buy a more suitable home that would have allowed them to avoid foreclosure. Since they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Is Being A ' Boomerang Buyer ' A Strong Choice? Is being a 'Boomerang Buyer' a strong choice? Google defines being a boomerang buyer as someone who is "heading back to the housing market instead of finding out they have to make down payments of at least 20 percent to qualify for a loan, but others are discovering opportunities to pay less." I am familiar with the term but as a 20 year old college student, I disagree with the choice. I am not an accountant or even a business major, I am actually going to major on the preforming arts side which is the total opposite side of the spectrum. My mother never taught me how to budget my money either but something about not even making the 20 percent down payment doesn't seem right to me. Most people pay the 20 percent down payment and then pay off a loan for the next 30 years to earn the title of their home, or at least that is what I have heard. That means that each year, you would be paying about 2.67 percent of the cost of the remaining 80 percent and of course you have those little loan fees (little is being used sarcastically). If I cannot afford the 20 percent or even be able to save it up, why would I be forced to be paying on a house for over another 10 years on top of the 30 years I already have. Most of my life, I lived in apartments. My mother was a young, single mother who raised 3 girls without a dime from our father. It's not that my mother couldn't afford a house, she just didn't want one. By the time my mother got us out of cheaper looking apartments to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Adolf Hitler Research Paper In 1939, Germany had invaded Czechoslovakia and was planning on invading Poland. Hitler knew that invading Poland meant war with Britain, France, and the Soviet Union, which would have been difficult to win. To avoid this, Germany and the Soviet Union signed a non–aggression pact agreeing to not take any military action against each other. "A secret clause in the Nazi– Soviet pact of August 1939 provided for the patrician of Poland between Germany and the Soviet Union" (Merridale 72). Germany and the Soviet Union became allies, deciding to split up their shares of Poland. However, some people, like cartoonist Daniel Brustlein, did not believe that this relationship would last. This characteristic speaks to the date of the cartoon. In 1939 Hitler was not seen as a large threat. To some, he was just a crazy politician. By drawing Hitler in a cute way, Alain can insult Hitler. Also, Alain might be commenting on Hitler's childlike behavior; Hitler does what he wants without thinking about the consequences. In contrast to the innocent Hitler, Stalin is very stern. His hand is in a military pose and he almost looks angry. In the cartoon, Stalin might be angry that Germany betrayed him by throwing the boomerang. However, in context of the year Germany had not yet done anything to upset the Soviet Union so this is just a prediction of the future. Hitler, hit on the head by the boomerang, was not expecting it to come back. He underestimated the strength of the Soviet Union and it came back to hurt him. A flaw of Hitler's later in the war was that he misjudged the Soviet Union. Overy says that "Hitler believed nothing less than that the Soviet Union could be defeated in four months" (Overy 13). • 14. Euphemism In 'Boomerang' By Lyfe Jennings The song I've chosen to interpret was "Boomerang" by Lyfe Jennings. The boomerang effect is an euphemism. As we learned in our discussion that it's a nicer way to say something to someone without being offensive or, coming off as harsh. The meaning of boomerang is other way of saying what comes around goes around. What you do to others, will always comeback to you in the long run. Some refer to it as karma which is also a euphemism. In the song Lyfe Jennings was basically saying that he didn't understand how being heartbroken felt until it happened to him. He didn't realize the pain he caused others until someone made him fell the same way. He than understood how it felt to be in love with someone who hurts you the most, he knew the pain he ... This generation raises a question whether these young adults move back in and become dependent to their parents due to economic and social issues they face such as not being able to find a job or simply because it is easier and cheaper to live with their parents. They see that they have let themselves down and can no longer proceed in becoming independent because they fear that they will ultimately fail in life. BOOMERANG GENERATION 5 Other social factors that boomerang generations may affect are privacy in the parent's home, insecurity and fear of their child's future. With young adults moving back home, some parents may feel that their privacy and peace is being impeded. They can no longer have the privacy in their own home that they use to have when their children were not living there, they can no longer be as intimate with one another and may feel insecure about their child's lack of maturity. Having their children live with them may lead to young adults not becoming responsible when it is time for them to live independently once again, they may fear of failing again and will instead decide to live with their parents much longer than expected, ultimately affecting the parents lives by being unable to have their own privacy, ... No More Boomerang By Oodgeroo Noonuccal The poem No More Boomerang, written by Oodgeroo Noonuccal (Kath Walker) provides many examples of contrast, showing how things of the old have been replaced by the new, and rhyme, shown between the stanzas allowing for the remembrance of the message more easily, to convey its message. An examples of this is "No more message–stick, lubras and lads, Got television now, mostly ads." This part of a stanza provides evidence that during the aboriginal times for entertainment or pleasure they had message–sticks, lubras and lads, whereas nowadays people have television to use, mostly containing ads, for enjoyment. The regular rent then goes in owner 's pocket (presumably to pay the mortgage), but the additional payments are used to buy down the price of the home" (Christie). The buyer should save for a down payment, address credit issues and pay off existing debts before buying. While many adults are choosing to stay home and never leave the nest, this article specifically addresses the boomerang effect: your young adult leaves home, finds life on their own overwhelming, and they retreat back to the parents' home in search of sanctuary and support. Some parents may find this to be satisfactory, while others do not. This article is about boomerang 'kids.' However, these people are adults, not children, and not kids. This time period has been reduced from two or three years for those individuals who lost their homes due to a job loss or other qualifying financial hardship (Miller). • 20. The Physics of Boomerangs Essay The Physics of Boomerangs The successful flight of a boomerang looks as though it never should happen. Its more or less circular flight path comes from the interaction of two physical phenomena: the aerodynamic lift of the arms of the boomerang and the spinning boomerang's maintenance of angular momentum. Briefly put, the airfoil at the boomerang's forward rotating edge provides more lift than its rearward rotating edge. This elevates one side of the boomerang. The spinning object maintains angular momentum by turning at a right angle to its axis of rotation. When the spin and the velocity of boomerang are just right, it flies away and returns in an aesthetically satisfying circle. The boomerang's distinctive flight starts with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But when a fluid encounters an obstruction in an open situation––a current in a river hitting a stick or an airfoil in the air––the same general rule applies. As the fluid accelerates around an object, its pressure decreases. If an airfoil is moving through the air, then the air accelerates as it goes over it. If the air foil were symmetrical, the air pressure would drop on both sides and the foil would have no net force acting on it. But if one side of a foil were curved and the other flat, then the pressure on the curved side would be less and the foil would be drawn in the direction of the lower air pressure (or the higher pressure on the flat side would push the foil in the direction of the curved side). For example, when rules allow, race cars have an upside down foil along their bottoms to increase down force and with it, their cornering ability. Much more commonly, airplane wings and helicopter rotors use the curved foil to create low pressure areas on their top sides to allow the higher pressure under the wing/rotor to push the wing /rotor upward. The introductory chapter of John Allen's Aerodynamics: The Science of Air in Motion describes a complex interaction between the object the the air in motion around it. He explains that the ... • 26. The Primary Difficulty Facing Boomerang Buyers The primary difficulty facing "Boomerang Buyers" is the bad credit that is haunting them. The best way to get out from under that cloud that follows them is to demonstrate good financial sense. A rental option is a good tool for this. You can negotiate rates and lengths of contracts to fit with what the "Boomerang Buyer" can comfortably agree to. The downside of this traditional arrangement is that at the end of the rental period there is nothing other than improved credit ratings to show for the money expended. A rent–to–own option on the other hand sits in the middle between a pure rental and a pure mortgage. You can negotiate your rental rates and contract terms like with a rentalproperty but a portion of the monthly payments is turning into a potential asset if financial circumstances still hold positive over the period of the contract. The other benefit to the "Boomerang Buyer" is that as long as they have not over contracted themselves for rent they can walk away from the investment without suffering legal action and credit consequences. The current housing market while not quite as oversupplied as during 2007–2009 is still leaning in that direction in some parts of the country. This means that there are those who have mortgages on homes that they would like to keep but are overextended on. These homeowners would be likely candidates for the "Boomerang Buyers" to approach and suggest the idea of a rent–to–own arrangement. Research needs to be done to determine if the ... Like a boomerang, these battered borrowers are re–entering the home market after years of renting, nursing their credit and saving enough to buy again; but in a economy like this that we could say now is sort of "stable" is it smart going all in on another mortgage or better going with the "rent–to–own".The house market has started to rise again, and for so saying that, many boomerang buyers are heading back to the housing market. Most of boomerang buyers are around areas such as California and Arizona where the house market took the hardest hit by foreclosures, and their return is contributing to rebounds in those markets. I will worry about it then." My mind was thinking this way because my need for housing was immediate. Which brings me to the second lesson we have learned: Short term decisions have long term ... • 38. The Housing Crisis Of Boomerang Buyers Following the 2006–2008 housing market crash, 4.8 million of homeowners lost their most valuable assessment to foreclosure, and another 2.8 milliongave up their homes in short sales. These former homeowners that are reentering the housing market after losing their homes during the housing market financial crisis are now part of a wave of "boomerang buyers." According to Real Estate experts, boomerang buyers who are returning to the market were at least 10 percent of all United States home purchases during 2014. More important, this trend is expected to increase in 2015 and 2016 as more boomerang buyers become eligible for new options to get their dream homes again. The unquestionable fact is that a great majority of boomerang buyers are hardworking, honest people that got caught in the middle of one of the biggest housing crisis that occurred in the last 100 years. Fortunately, those housing crisis' victims are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel since several options are becoming available to them in order to get back into home ownership. Among these options, I like to explore some available avenues for those boomerang borrowers to include the rent to own option, Veterans Affairs backed loans, and owners financing option. First of all, the rent to own option is a superb option that allows the renters to apply the monthly rent to the purchase of the house. Renting to own, otherwise known as a lease–option, allow those people that are not in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Boomerang Kid Essay Boomerang Kids: Market dynamics and moving back home. About 15 million young adults were reported living with their parents last year and according to the U.S. Department of Labor, "the unemployment rate for bachelor 's degree holders under the age of 27 is the worst since 1983" (CBS News). Those young adults are now called "boomerang kids". So what do you do when you graduate without a job lined up? You used to go back home to try to save money or to try to repay some loans, that's old news. Now, it's different. You go back home because you just can't find a job, period. How can this be avoided? Well, according to Rich Morin, senior editor at the Pew Research Center in DC, "This recession has hit young adults particularly hard."... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Indeed according to him: " As president, Mr. Obama should use his bully pulpit to undermine the bachelor's degree as a job qualification." (565) Instead, we should "substitute certification tests, which would provide evidence that the applicant has acquired the skills the employer needs." (567) In theory, this is a good idea except it's unrealistic. Think about how many "certification tests" employers would have to create for every different position; not to mention the hours they would have to put in watching people take tests, creating new tests every year and making sure the tests are up to date. It is too much of a hassle. In addition, a lot of students would drop out of college, universities would lose money and their qualifications wouldn't even be universally recognized. Back to the subject, would this even make that the boomeranging kids rate drop? Probably not, because even though a whopping 85% of college seniors planned to move back home with their parents after graduation last May, according to a poll by Twentysomething Inc., at least they had a degree. Kids are moving back home because high unemployment –nearly 15% for those ages 20–24 – has made finding a job nearly impossible. Undermining the Bachelor degree would not fix unemployment; on the contrary I think it would make it worse. The other cause of high boomerang kids rate is the rising of the student loan interest rate. For students out of college, it is harder and harder to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Boomerang Effectiveness Avoiding the Boomerang: Testing the relative effectiveness of Antidrug Public Service Announcements (PSAs) before a national campaign Introduction There is a long effort to evaluate Media Antidrug Campaigns effectiveness. What we already know is that most studies have found little or no effect. More findings include dimensions like: funding issues, content of the message, theoretically vs empirically based messages, target audience and desired behavior, the importance of psychological variables and more. Campaign Focus Minimizing illegal drug use among young adolescents who have not yet become "regular" users of an illegal substance in televised antidrug PSAs. • 41. Summary: The Role Of Boomerang Fathers Though they aim to cover the same content, the differences between an academic article and the popular press article written about it can include drastic differences.Sometimes, the difference is so drastic, the information found in the popular press article cannot be deemed credible because it leaves out a drastic amount of information that is included in the scientific article. In one case, the scientific article The Role of Boomerang Fathers in Adolescent Female Depression includes enough information for it to be deemed credible, where the popular press article written in summary of it, Even Sometimes Dads Confer Big Time Benefits on Kids, lacks the necessary information needed for it to be deemed credible. Both articles share the same claim, concluding that present fathers, even if only a litte, lead to a lower rate of depression symptoms in female adolescents when compared to fathers that are not present at all. While the overall claim is the same in both, the scientific article includes additional findings stating that biological parents that are also boomerang parents have a higher chance of being single when the child is born and concludes that boomerang parenting may be due ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In contrast, the scientific article defines boomerang fathers as "biological fathers who exit and reenter the household''. The popular press article loosely defines a boomerang father as one who's "not visiting, not staying for a day or two". The biggest difference between the two is the inclusion of the term biological father. Without this, there is no information on if the father is the biological father, adoptiveparent, or another male figure that is standing in for the biological father. This information is important to the credibility of the research, as it is necessary to define if the fathers were biological or not, as it could have an impact on the ... • 42. Boomerang Generation: New Social Phenomenon The Boomerang Generation: "New Social Phenomenon." Many children dream of the day when they can be "free" from their parents telling them what to do, when and how to do it. They imagine themselves living alone, graduating from college, having their own car, working, among many others. But what they initially think about is the pressure from many different sources that adults have to go through in their daily lives. It is when they finally graduate from high school and receive college admission that they realize how difficult the adult world is such as: Student debt, rent, keeping up with all of their classes, and paying all of their bills. Although there are some young people who do manage to keep going forward on their own, there is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Recently around the "developed world", "66% of young men in Portugal are living with their parents." "In Japan, around 2003, close to 12 million unmarried people between the ages of 20 and 34 were living with their parents." It is worth mentioning that the hardship for independence started happening around the 1980's as young people, who were new job seekers, had to carry the weight of the "loosening labor market regulations due to global competition." Newman explains that the Generation Y is "not necessarily a problem." By helping their children out, parents are "creating multigenerational "accordion families" as a way of investing in the human capital of next generation." "They are making it affordable for their kids to work for no pay as interns or study without making their college debts bigger. The situation is temporary, it must be part of a glide path to an independent future." And usually, when their children turn 18, parents are not so ready to let their children out into the world. By the return of their children, relationships can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
