Albert Camus The Plague Analysis
What makes life worth living? Love, excitement, knowledge, or even aiding others show prime
examples of answers that come to the mind. Albert Camus states a very different opinion to the
world within his novel The plague. In this novel Camus speaks about a small city called Oran. In
this city the seasons rarely change and everyone settles for what they have and demonstrate almost
a complete feeling of contentedness in their everyday lives. In the novelhe also shows that the
saying you don t know what you have until it s gone, may ring true in many cases. Camus shows
that people show the actions of contentedness in their ways and don t realize what they have until
time has run out by explaining the functions of the people in Oran, showing... Show more content

Whether by the ordinary life they overlooked until disease had taken it, loved ones that were
merely there until sickness had struck, or the freedom that disappeared, vanquished by a
quarantine this novel has example after example of the great things in life that people don t
appreciate until it is gone. This theme has been stated in countless books and movies, but Albert
Camus found a way to put this theme down in a way that requires the reader to really think about
what message the Camus tries to convey. So next time the sun comes up or you have a good day,
think of The Plague, and show gratitude for what today

Discovery Of Naledi Research Paper
In the historical year of 2013, two amateur cave explorers, Rick Hunter and Steven Tucker,
discovered a primitive human like species in a cave in South Africa. After two years, Lee Berger,
a professor at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa was tipped off by
the cavers, who had explored the deep cave to find multiple fossils. Berger and his team soon
identified the multitude of fossils as a primitive human. This revolutionary discovery has added an
ancestor to our evolutionary tree. This specie, named naledi, has been classified into the genus,
Homo, which includes modern humans. However, due to lack of information, this specie is thought
to have three possible ages of existence. One, an early divergence of the specie Australopithecus
anamensis,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, its skull shows progressive shape, small teeth, long legs, and modern human
looking feet. The new specie was discovered in a chamber of the Rising Star cave, 30 meters
underground, in a burial site. The fossils were found unharmed and the environment had no sign
of a calamity. This leads scientists to believe that these early humans had intentionally taken
thought into the burial of their dead. Until the moment of discovery of naledi, I would have
probably said to you that it was our defining character. The idea of burial of the dead or ritualized
body disposal is something utterly uniquely human, says Berger. This idea of another people
intentionally burying its dead has left many scientists to question human identity. After all, if this
specie was found after many years proving it has been involved in burial rituals before, what
others may we find in the future. It absolutely questions what makes us human. And I don t think
we know anymore what does, Berger states. In other words, how many more secrets are out there .

Comparison Between Menkaure and His Wife, and Nike from...
Naturalism in art refers to the depiction of realistic objects in a natural setting. The Realism
movements of the 19th century advocated naturalism in reaction to the stylized and idealized
depictions of subjects in Romanticism, but many painters have adopted a similar approach over the
centuries. One example of Naturalism is the artwork of American artist William Bliss Baker, whose
landscape paintings are considered some of the best examples of the naturalist movement. Idealism
is the attitude that places special value on ideas and ideals as products of the mind, in comparison
with the world as perceived through the senses. In art idealism is the tendency to represent things as
aesthetic sensibility would have them rather than as they... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By an unknown artist, the sculpture is thought to date from the period 220 BC 190 BC (though
some scholars date it as early as 250 BC or as late as 180 BC). Her drapery serves to dramatically
emphasize both her dynamic forward movement against the wind and her full, robust form her
powerful thighs and the active, contracted muscles of her torso. The drapery clings with thin,
long, and uneven ripples to her breasts, abdomen, right leg, and left thigh, its near transparency
revealing these parts of the body almost as if they were nude. Excess fabric forms heavy yet
dynamically irregular shapes and bunches. A long, uneven arc of cloth between her legs
accentuates their motion and implies the counter force of the wind against her body. The sculptor
draws attention to this downward arc with a swath of drapery that flies forward from the left hip
and collides in a V shape with the longer swath at the Nike s pelvis. At the same time, in the back
of the statue fabric soars out behind the figure in rigid crests. The effect of this drapery is choppy
and uneven, the wind whipping the cloth as it does sea below into irregular peaks and troughs. A
partial inscription on the base of the statue includes the word Rhodhios (Rhodes), indicating that the
statue was commissioned to celebrate a naval

A Colored Girl By Zora Neale Hurston
SpeakerZora Neale Hurston is the speaker of this article, who is a colored girl growing up in a
small Negro town in Florida named Eatonville. When she moved to Jacksonville, she realized
what it was actually like being a colored girl in the outside world. Nevertheless, she was really
proud of her ethnicity and disregarded all criticism. Occasion When Zora lived in the small
Negro town Eatonville, she hardly noticed any differences between blacks and whites. However,
after moving to Jacksonville at the age of thirteen, she expanded her horizon and became to
notice the huge differences between blacks and whites. She realized that blacks were still
slightly discriminated by other races on the outside world even after decades of desegregation.
For example, when whites pointed out the fact that she was the granddaughter of slaves, she
clearly expressed the blacks were moving forward and were no longer the subject of
discrimination. She felt like as a colored girl, she was not being treated equally by other races.
This had prompted her to write this article and express the unfairness of racism in our society
today. Audience This article clearly illustrates the inequality of races in our society. It is directed
to whites who still perceive blacks as grandsons and granddaughters of slaves . She also wrote
this article in order urge the blacks to work harder and believe in themselves. Purpose Zora s
purpose in writing this article is to inform the whites that the blacks are

Abstract
This paper will discuss the history of the canine dog. This paper will also discuss the different
breeds of the canine and its purposes. This paper focuses on the training, handling, and the overall
care of the canine by the police or other agencies involving canines.
Increased juvenile delinquency and engagement in crime has been an issue of concern to many
parents and the authority in general. Although juvenile crimes have been there even in the past,
they have been increasing at an alarming rate and the intensity of crimes committed has also
increased. However the criminal justice system has set ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example in some cases individuals are sentenced to a term of participation in boot camps for
about 90 to 180 days which can substitute a jail term of about 10 years. However the equation of
boot camp term and the jail term substituted usually varies with the boot camp facility and the
state. In case juvenile offenders are not wiling to serve in boot camps, then they are compelled to
serve their jail term. Therefore participation in boot camps is not compulsory and individuals can
prefer to serve their original jail term instead. (Cowles, 2005)
The first boot camp was opened in the United States in Georgia and Oklahoma around 1983. The
initial set of the boot camps was to maximize the rate of deterrence, reduce the crowding in juvenile
prison, to decrease the cost of penal and the correction system, and in order to reduce the rate of
recidivism. Boot camps were however supposed to find a middle ground between restrictive prison
system and the less strict probation. Boot camps are therefore less restrictive than the system in
prisons and harsher than the system in probation.
In the recent past, there had been some disquiet from some parents and juveniles about their life in
juvenile camps. It is argued that some boots camps have been exposing juvenile to harsh military
training exposing them to various dangers which they may not be prepared for. For example in
2006, boot camps were banned in Florida following the death of Lee Anderson

Effects Of The Period Of Warring States
The Period of Warring States was a time in China lasting from 479 to 221 BCE in which over
100 Chinese states dwindled down to seven through warfare. The major effects of the Period of
Warring States was an increase in philosophy, a change of ruling, and a change of ruling style.
During the Period of Warring States, there was a surplus of philosophical beliefs and because of
the warring, those beliefs were widely spread. Confucianism was prominent because of its emphasis
on self reflection. Confucius, the founder of Confucianism, firmly believed that the most important
thing a person can do is focus on improving themselves. The basic Confucian ideas are ren:
humaneness; li: etiquette; xiao: filial piety; and de: virtue. Another

Research Paper On Vlad The Impaler
Vlad was the Prince of the Wallachian kingdom (also referred as the Voivode of Wallachia, which
means the same) in three different occasions which nowadays doesn t exist, but it was located at the
south of the actual Romania. He achieved the throne after his father was killed. Some quotations of
the Draculabook that I consider as references to the fact that Vlad the Impaler was a prince and a
member of the high class, are the next ones: It is late, and my people are not available (page 24).
This quotation may not be a clear one, but I think it is and I am going to explained it: a prince is
the ruler of a kingdom, his kingdom, and the people who lived in his kingdom belongs to him. This
is the case of Vlad the Impaler. So, when in this sentence ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

someone.
However, I have found some web pages that explain the same thought I once had in your class, so
I am going to let the bibliographic reference of one of them at the end of the essay to let you know.
The last think I want to talk about in this essay is about the movie Bram Stoker s Dracula from
the director Francis Ford Coppola. At the beginning of this movie, it is explained how the
character of Dracula became a vampire and it is said that he was a warrior called Draculea, from
the Order of the Dragon, who fought to protect the Christian world. What s more, in the scene
where Dracula welcomes Jonathan Harker into his castle, there is a conversation about a picture
hanging in a wall. Harker asks the Count who is the man on the picture and he tells him that it is
an ancestor of him from the order of the Dragon.
This reference to Vlad the Impaler it is not clear in Bram Stoker s book and what s more, the story
of how Dracula became a vampire it is an invention of the movie

behavioral treatment, behavior modification and intensive contingency management. The small
number of randomized studies available does not indicate an advantage of behavioral treatments
compared to non treatment or usual care. There are no randomized studies of specific techniques
such as behavior modification or intensive contingency management. There is consensus among
experts that educational counseling and pedagogical assistance from parents and schools are an
integral part of the ADHD approach. In a systematic review, two RCTs (randomized clinical

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Tax Havens
The central argument of this paper is that tax havens are not only mediums for tax avoidance and
evasion but belong more broadly to the world of finance. Viewed individually, tax havens may
appear small and insignificant; combined, they play a central role in the world economy, where
liberalization and deregulation of the financial sphere has caused an exponential growth of tax
havens in the last 40 years. I would define tax havens as jurisdictions that have sufficient autonomy
and most importantly a deliberate interest to write their own tax, finance, and other laws and
regulations. Their purpose is to ease transactions undertaken by nonresidents who have the intention
to avoid taxations and other regulations in their home country by providing a legally backed veil
of secrecy to make it hard to determine the true owners. Tax havens do so with the active support of

The Simpsons Nuclear Family Essay
In The Simpsons cartoon, the ideological construction of the nuclear family was challenged. The
nuclear family concept was debunked and exposed in this cartoon series. To begin, a nuclear
family has a variety of factors and elements which contribute to its unnatural appeal. A nuclear
family is primarily composed of a pair of heterosexual adults and their children. The nuclear family
was familiarized and primarily catered towards the white and middle class individuals. The
ideological construction of a nuclear familyis a homogenized ideology of what human kind and
society should be. The development of the nuclear family ideal was a cultural and political
response to World War II. It was a concept which perpetuated and expressed that any other form
of family was unacceptable, such as, families which were composed of a single parent, or
families with parents of the same sex. This ideal, therefore, created a false understanding of
normality. Due to political power, the nuclear family was an ideal pushed to control what was
occurring in the homes of individuals and a method of displaying the American Dream because
people were unaware of how such an ideal family could be created and maintained. By... Show

The Pros And Cons Of The Two Party System
John Adams, one of the founding fathers, wrote that There is nothing which I dread so much as
a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting
measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the
greatest political evil under our Constitution ( Quote by John Adams ). The Two Party system has
been around since the start of America. The Two Party system is a system that has two parties
that the government, or America in this case, has that lead the government or America. At the
current time, the two parties are the Republican and Democrat parties. It was created with the
idea that everyone can be represented within either of the parties. Even though it does create
some representation of the people, the two party system does not create an equal policy in
society because it does not allow people to get far if they are not within either of the two parties,
does not allow the idea of having more than two parties, and because it doesn t represent everyone.
First, the two party system does not create an equal policy in society because it does not allow
people to get far if they are not within either of the two parties. The idea of the winner take all
electoral system is the hostile terrain for third parties because the odds are in favor of the bigger
parties (Conray). The bigger parties over the years seem to have the upper hand within the
government, and especially within the elections.

Confucianism Bring Harmony In Society
According to The Analects, Confucianism brings harmony by not doing things to others that
you wouldn t want done to yourself. Confucianists follow Ren and Li. Ren (humility) is when
one is kind, benevolent, and has humaneness towards others. Li is the rituals, rites, etiquette and
propriety which lead to peace and harmony. Ren brings harmony by someone giving love and
being equal. I believe that ren really does bring harmony into a society because when someone
has a lot of pride, it ruins a lot for them, people don t really look at them as a humble person.
Humility actually makes you be a better person because you accept when you make errors and
not making yourself look as a very important person (this doesn t mean someone feels worthless
or bad about themselves). Whereas, Li brings harmony by knowing and accepting where you
stand in society. The best example I could think of is respect. You have to respect whom is
above you. For example it is my obligation to respect my older sisters because I m younger than
them. In class, I was told that if everyone does the proper thing, society will function well and will
lead to peace and harmony. Whereas, Taoism brings harmony by accepting things the way they are.
The concepts of Yin and Yang bring harmony to Taoists. Yin and yang represent the fluidity of the
universe. Yin meaning dark, passive, female and yang meaning light, active, male. None of them
are bad or evil, they are just different. They are complementary not

Motion and Car Safety
Motion is how everything in the universe moves, movement of the solar system never stops and
is constantly moving but at a very slow speed. There are three laws in motion that explain
movement, they are the Newton s three laws of motion named after Isaac Newton. The Newton
s first law states that an object that is a rest will stay at rest unless an outside force is acted upon
it and an object that is in motion will stay in motion unless an outside force is acted upon it. This
is also called as inertia , which means the property of an object to restrict its motion. Examples of
inertia would be when a car is driving at a constant speed and instantly stops the person will fall
forward if there is no seat belt.
The seat belt is a safety device that is commonly found on car seats and aircraft seats, it is made
from strong durable materials such as fabric, nylon or polyester. Cars that are manufactured are
required to have seat belts due to road safety laws. The law was introduced in the 1970s, it was
shown that having seat belts reduced the amount of road deaths. The seat belt was invented by
George Cayley in the late 1800 s, the seat belt appeared on planes in the early 1900 s but was
later developed to a three point seat belt by Nils Bohlin. The purpose of seat belts is to restrain the
forward motion that occurs during an accident, which may end up saving the person s life or
preventing serious injuries.
The seat belt was designed to restrain the person from forward motion

Home Is A Place That One Has An Emotional Tie
Home is a place that one has an emotional tie to, whether positive, negative, or a mixture of both.
In many cases, home is remembered in a certain time setting, hence nostalgia and remembering
the past are common reflections for numerous people. That is why people mention or reference
the good old days. In a modern age where people travel and there is constant progress in culture
and society, people can easily lose something significant. The only way to possibly re live it is by
embracing the memories. The result is a hiraeth, a Welsh word for an intense longing for home. Ron
Rash s Myopia and Milking Traces and Robert Morgan s Heaven reflect on the emotions that are
associated with remembering the past and clinging to home settings. In their poems, Rash and
Morgan illustrate the idea of hiareth through imagery, metaphors and symbolisms.
In Rash s Myopia, he presents a sense of intense longing for home through visual imagery and
symbols. The speaker adds great emphasis when he describes the components of his great
grandmother s glasses. The lenses are the dominant component, which suggests that when [looking]
out a window to see / the world as [his great grandmother] did, doing so reminds him of what his
family s home would look like in the past (lines 9 10). By wiping the dust from each lens, the

Taking a Look at Coordinating Compounds
Coordinating compounds, usually noted by their Indo Aryan name dvandva . Coordination
complexes were notable since the start of chemistry. The definition and border of the class of
coordinating compounds involves two issues: initially, what a compound is and how can we
distinguish coordinative compounds from alternative multiword expressions; second, the
understanding of what coordination is, and the way it s to be distinguished from alternative, non
symmetrical relations (e.g. subordination). The major breakthrough occurred once Alfred Werner
put forward in 1893 that Co(III) bears six ligands in an octahedral geometry. His theory permits
one to grasp the distinction between coordinated and ionic in a compound, for instance chloride
within the cobalt ammine chlorides and to clarify several of the earlier unexplainable isomers. In
1914, Werner resolved the first coordination complex, known as hexol, into optical isomers,
overthrowing the idea that solely carbon compounds may possess chirality.
Introduction
Coordination compound is a compound formed from a Lewis acid and a BrГёnsted base , a
Lewis acid being an electron pair acceptor and a BrГёnsted base a proton acceptor. Thus the
interaction of the Lewis acid metal centre as in Ni(ClO4)2 with the BrГёnsted base ammonia to
make a complex in line with the given equation: Ni(ClO4)2 + 6NH3 в†’ [Ni(NH3)6](ClO4)2
This equation provides an example of the formation of a complex. In writing the formulae

The Invention Of Tradition By Eric Hobsbawm And Terence...
Tradition is an integral and powerful aspect of life for everyone on the planet. From the
rainforests of Madagascar to the bustling metropolis of New York City, cultural, religious, and
social traditions are engrained in the very fiber of human identity. Due to this fierce loyalty to one
s traditions, we as people, don t often question where are traditions came from. We ignore the
questions about their ethics and moral values, and turn a blind eye to traditions that just don t
necessarily make sense. The Invention of Tradition by Eric Hobsbawm and Terence Ranger delves
into this avoided facet of history how traditions become what they are to society. The cultural life of
Walesin the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries provides a striking parallel to the mindset of a
large demographic of American citizens today. The conservative, nationalist peoples of the United
Statesis a group full of paradox. They feel their history and culture of life being slowly stripped
away, so they fanatically hold onto their beliefs with untamed ferocity. On the one hand the decay
or demise of an ancient way of life, writes Prys Morgan, on the other an unprecedented outburst of
interest in things Welsh and a highly self conscious activity to preserve...them (Morgan, 43). The
United States has seen this phenomenon unfold in front of their eyes this year, with the
reemergence of a faction of people whom feel forgotten, searching for their past amongst political
and social rubble. With the 2016

Job Experience At College Graduates
Obtaining a job in today s society may seem difficult due to the ever increasing population of
college graduates promoting a healthy dose of competition, yet it will come naturally if one has
prior experience before obtaining a full time job. In my current stage of being a senior without
any job experience before graduating will prove to be tough to find a company willing to hire
someone as such. Almost all of my friends have some sort of job experience both in either industry
or in jobs not related to engineering. I on the other hand privately do have job experience, but this
is through a small family business manufacturing custom window treatments. Ever since I was a
young child, many professors told me to not cite family as a credible source of job experience. I
assumed this was said in order to prevent those that simply place inane job titles on their resume
when they in fact worked or observed only five minutes of the job. My job was to assist my
father in the manufacturing of curtains, pillows and roman shades; occasionally installing the
drapes in the client s home with the profits going towards the family. Money going towards my
family s funds has led to me not have to file any taxes and whatnot . Where whatnot is the
miscellaneous papers that I am not aware of in my current knowledge that s usually seen if one
had a job. I have attempted to place my work experience onto my resume as the section labeled
work experience is left blank, but the starting date looked

Maria Montessori Curriculum Essay
The Montessori Curriculum Model Dina Fikeru, Evealin Cruz, Olga Cruz, Althea Robinson,
Talaya Thompson Montessori Curriculum 1.Underlying Philosophy Montessori education
curriculum is based on the philosophy of continuous development, love, caring and uniqueness.
In the Montessori classroom, every child is provided with unique opportunities to develop both
moral and cognitive skills in areas that motivate students (Isaacs, 2015). For example, if a child
loves construction, the teacher may provide construction materials such as small boxes, tapes
and superglue that is necessary for assembling the boxes together. This makes learning both
interactive and enjoyable. The role of significant adults such as teachers is to provide guidance
on what the child should do to realize his/her goals (Isaacs, 2015). For example, if the child is
defeated on how to assemble the boxes, the teacher should guide the child until the child has
fully mastered the task. 2.Historical Perspectives The history of Montessori s curriculum dates
back to 1906 when Maria Montessori founded the first Children s House by the name Casa dei
Bambini in Rome, Italy (Isaacs, 2015). It was in this children s house that Maria developed a keen
interest on how children develop their cognitive abilities and moral behavior. She realized that
every child possesses unique skills and talents that should not be generalized in a single classroom
(Ansari Winsler, 2014). In other words, Montessori

Dulce Et Decorum Est Poem Analysis
The soldiers above all pray for peace, for it is the soldiers who must suffer and bear the deepest
wounds and scars of war, Douglas MacArthur. In War is Kind, author Stephen Crane shares his
experiences from the Spanish American War and then later dying just before his poem is
published. Dulce et Decorum Est is written by Wilfred Owen where he shares his experience in
World War I and elaborates on his frustration with how people protested the war. Tim O Brien is
the author of The Things They Carried, Tim served in the Vietnam War and in his writings, lists
the weight of all the things they carried. The Yellow Birds is a Novel written by Kevin Powers in
which he is the narrator imaging that he is talking to a group of friends about his experiences in
Iraq. These writers use imagery, irony, and structure to protest war.
Firstly, Wilfred Owen and Kevin Powers writings portray imagery that is used to protest war. For
example, in Dulce et Decorum Est Wilfred Owen states As under a green sea, I saw him
drowning, (Doc B). Owen s poem representational imagery which is used to protest war where
the reader can visually see all of the unimaginable things that take place during the war and could
possibly be a major influence on whether or not they enlist. This quote represents that one of the
soldiers is suffocating from the inhalation of the gas from the enemy. This portrays a form of

Cotton Mather The Wonders Of The Invisible World Summary
I chose to analyze the primary source of The Wonders of the Invisible World, written by Cotton
Mather. He was born on February 12th of 1663 into a wealthy family of New England Puritan
ministers. Cotton Mather started school at the age of twelve at Harvard College. He graduated
and chose to become a member of the clergy but was unable to because of a speech impediment.
He was able to overcome this however and a number of years later he was ordained in 1685. He
became a very revered and influential minister at the time. In addition, he was also considered to
be quite progressive in the field of medicine. He also was a renowned writer and published at least
350 written documents. One of these passages was the The Wonders of the Invisible... Show more

The Puritans believed that everything that went wrong with their life, was the work of the Devil.
In this document, he depicts the evil spirits as being actually real entities and then tries to justify
the horrible acts of cruelty during the trials because of them. He states with a genuine feeling
that, these our poor Afflicted Neighbors quickly after they become Infected and Infested with
these Demons, arrive to a Capacity of Discerning those which they conceive the Shapes of their
Troublers; and notwithstanding the Great and Just Suspicion, that the Demons might impose the
Shapes of Innocent Persons in their Spectral Exhibitions upon the Sufferers. He starts off saying
that the reason the Devil is angry with his people is that they have encroached unto his lands.
That this new world is so unforgiving in nature that it is alike to that of the Devil. Mather states
that these lands, were once the Devil s Territories; and it may easily be supposed that the Devil
was exceedingly disturbed. He says this to justify the reason why the Devil is angry with the
people. Mather s quote not only claims that the New Englanders of this area are in fact people of
God, but more importantly that they are located deep in the Devil s territory and that the Devil is
very displeased these people loyal to Jesus Christ and Christianity. Although it doesn t seem that
farfetched that these people would draw such conclusions so quickly. They

Jose Antonio had stepped on too many toes by his justifiable criticism of scandal and corruption

The Tyger Poem Analysis
This poem dramatizes the conflict between the divine perspective and the speaker s terrified
human and morally affronted perspective. The theme of The Tyger is creation and the ability of
divine figure to create evil. The poem mainly focuses on the beauty and ferociousness of creation
in general and how we think we see the whole story. William Blakewrote this piece in the voice of
a witness that watched the making of the so called Tyger and what it has become. This witness
describes to the audience which is directed to society of what he/she sees in order to open their
eyes to see the bigger picture. The poem is written in a rhythm of both trochaic and iambic meter
where the author purposely changes the last line of each stanzain order to make that specific line
stand out the most for the audience to notice. The Tygeris composed of six stanzas, each containing
four lines, and is written with an AABB rhyme scheme. Many of the sentences are written as
interrogative sentences as Blake asks several rhetorical questions. Also, the first and last stanzas
are almost identical, with the exception of a single word, which emphasizes this text and at the
end forces the reader to reevaluate these words after reading the rest of the poem. The author
uses words such as fearful, dread, and deadly to draw an image for the reader that the creature is
a beast capable of destruction. The first 2 lines begin with the repetition of the character ( Tyger,
Tyger ). The repetition creates a chant like mood to the whole poem, which contributes to the
mysteriousness. It quotes burning bright (1) which is an example of alliteration. This piece
may describe the appearance of the Tyger as tigers have fiery orange fur, or it may on a deeper
analyzation describe a kind of energy or power that this Tyger possesses. The Tyger s presence
in the forests of the night (2) further increases the mystery and power of the creature it s
mysterious, while at the same time burning with some sort of inner force. The speaker uses the
symbolic character of a tiger as something so fearsome yet very beautiful. William Blake is
building on the idea that nature, like a work of art, can in some way contain a reflection of its

the outlooks of human being in societal affairs (Myers, 2010). The significance of power that a
group will consume covers past the growth of interpersonal connections. The progress of a group
active has a great deal to do with the actions of the specific followers. The actions of participants

of the group affect every one of the followers and these actions influence eventually the superiority
and accomplishment of the group involvement. The Rape Crisis Center Group is considered one of

Techniques Used For Air Navigation Essay
The techniques used for air navigation will depend on whether the aircraft is in flight under Visual
Flight Rules (VFR) or Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). In the latter case, the pilot will navigate
exclusively using radio navigation instruments and aids such as beacons, or as directed under radar
control by air traffic control. In the case of VFR, a pilot navigates heavily using dead calculations
combined with visual (pilot) observations, referring to appropriate maps. This can be supplemented
using radio navigation aids.
Given the flight plan and the position of the aircraft, the flight management system calculates the
route to be taken. The driver can take this course manually, or the autopilot can be configured to
take the course.
The flight management system mode is normally called LNAV or lateral navigation for the lateral
flight plan and VNAV or vertical navigation for the vertical flight plan. VNAV provides targets and
speeds of height and altitude, and LNAV provides a balanced control of automatic piloting.

Persuasive Speech On Sea Turtles
Imagine a world of chaos. We see things like that all the time in movies, where zombies roam the
earth and there are just those few main survivors left. The world is in ruins. If ocean life was to
die out, there would be a collapse of civilization as a whole. Just like we see on TV, the world
would become a place where no order exists. This would lead to human extinction. The ocean dies,
we die along with it, and if sea turtles die, so does the ocean. In simple words, one could say that
human life depends on sea turtles. In this speech I will be covering three topics. First, how a sea
turtles diet benefits marine life and humans, second, how sea turtles provide homes and food for
other species, and last, how sea turtles protect beaches from washing away.
Sea turtles have been a big help in maintaining the health of the world s ocean for more than 100
million years. They help by keeping up coral reefs all the way to transporting nutrients to
beaches. Major changes have occurred in oceans everywhere due to the decline of the sea turtle
population. Oceans are unhealthy because of this. It is time for us to protect the sea turtles and
rebuild their population to ensure healthy oceans in the future. According to oceana.org, there
are seven species of sea turtles that roam the world, six of which inhabit U.S. waters, and have
been listed as either endangered, or threatened. Up until now, all six of these species are not at a
healthy level despite protection measures from the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Some
populations even continue to decline. Even at a diminished population, sea turtles play an
important role in ecosystems. They are also extremely important to humans because they keep
oceans healthy, and we use the ocean as a food source. They keep up the health of the ocean in
many different ways, all of which, are very important. Sea turtles are one of the few animals that
eat sea grass. Just like normal lawn grass, sea grass needs to be constantly cut short to help it
grow across the sea floor rather than just getting really long blades. Without constant grazing, sea
grass beds obstruct currents and provide a suitable habitat for the growth of slime molds. Sea grass
beds provide breeding grounds for many

PSYCHOANALYTIC ANALYSIS OF LOOKING FOR ALASKA
It seems natural to think about novels in terms of dreams or psychoanalytical realities. Like dreams,
novels are fictions, inventions of the mind that, though based on reality, are by definition not
exactly and literally true. Conversely, dreams may have some truth to tell but like novels their truth
must be interpreted before it can be grasped. Such is the case with John Green s young adult novel,
Looking for Alaska. It holds many truths that are relevant to young adults, but to extract those
lessons, one must first view the plot and characters through a lens of psychoanalytical theory. ...

And finally, the beautifully damaged, larger than life Alaska Young. As her name implies, she is so
young to have the problems that she has and meet such an untimely demise. She is also aptly
named Alaska because she is (or wishes to be) an unknown, mysterious, possibly dangerous frontier
to her schoolmates. We learn well into the novel, that Alaska experienced a horrible tragedy when
she was little: her mother had an aneurysm and died in front of her. Alaska, in shock, was unable to
take any action to save her mother and has since tried to control situations with her own volatility
and unpredictability. She manipulates those around her by alternating between being a
misunderstood victim and an instigator of mischief.
As an adult reader who has crossed over to the reality of life, reading about these characters can
be a transparent, futile exercise because as adults looking back at youth we have the experience
to know where these characters are headed before they even start their journey. However, for
young adults who are still in the throes of existential angst this is a powerful novel that handles
teenage rites of passage and coming of age issues such as loyalty, friendship, belonging, and even
death and loss very well.

Importance Of Deserving My Education
I am deserving of this award due to how I have faced the challenges in my life to continue and
improve my education. Throughout my life I ve made sacrifices that most of my peers would
not do willingly. From childhood I knew that achieving the best grades and challenging myself
in academics would allow me to pursue what I wanted later in life, and I knew it wouldn t be
easy. I have sacrificed uncountable amounts of hours that I could have spent with friends or
doing other fun activities, to study for my classes. As an example, my mom s side of the family
has had many funerals in the recent past. I have chose to miss some of these funerals to stay in
school. I do not do this because I don t love my relatives. I miss the funerals because I know how
important school is, and that my relatives would want me to succeed in getting a great education
and achieving my goals. Making major sacrifices like this allowed me to keep a 4.0 G.P.A.
throughout my educational career, and deepen my knowledge of world around me. Not only have
I been able to make the sacrifices needed to keep myself ahead of game, but I ve also managed to
master my time management skills.
I have always loved soccer, and I have push myself time and time again to work at becoming the
best I can be. So, when I came into high school and the load of school work and time dedicated to

Complexity Theory And Leadership Theory
Complexity theory and Leadership
There are many theories when it comes to leadership. Many of these date back hundreds of years
to military styles of leadership. The 1990 s saw the emergence of a new theory in terms of
leadership, Complexity Theory, which has since developed further and has been implemented in
some of the most successful companies in the world.
What is complexity theory?
Computational modelling has become ever popular in industries that require prediction of
outcomes, by developing complex algorithms that attempt to predict the outcome of certain
complex actions. There are a variety of inputs that can drastically change the output of the model. A
similar model can be applied to human interaction, with an infinite number ... Show more content

Complexity theory is the understanding of the processes by which positive innovation and change
occurs.
How does it vary from traditional leadership methods
Each organisation begins out of innovation, someone has an idea and that idea becomes the
organisation. This is the Entrepreneurial System, and is responsible for innovation and creativity
(Goldstein, et al., 2009). Once the organisation is functioning, the Administrative System begins to
take over, accounting for improvements in bureaucracy, efficiency and order. The trade off for
efficiency and order is to stifle the creative and innovative change that can lead to chaos (Hazy,
2006).
Traditional leadership styles dictate that when there is chaos, that order should be restored, and
often followers or employees search for order in times of chaos. However, in applying total order to
chaos, creativity and innovation are eliminated by application of a hierarchal authoritarian system
(Goldstein, et al., 2009).
Instead of oppressing creativity and innovation through order, complexity theory embraces small
amounts of chaos implementing minimal changes, encouraging followers to perform their duties in
a creative manner. It is important that the levels of chaos do not lead to followers being unable to
perform their duties; however, acceptable levels of chaos should be embraced, allowing freedom of
thought and interaction between followers (Van de Van, et al., 1999).

The Effect Of Automatic Processes Interfering With...
Whether your mom is telling you a list of chores to do while you are watching your favorite TV
show or studying for an exam in a noisy room, these are common occurrences that may be
affecting you in ways you don t realize. What people may not know is how these instances could
cause hindrances when processing information; this is an underlying problem and has been known
as interference. When you have attention on more than one thing you may be experiencing
interference and this can inhibit cognitive processes. The effects of automatic processes interfering
with controlled processes have been known to have been tested through something called a Stroop
experiment. The revolutionary study by, Stroop (1935) used 5 different colors; purple, brown,
green, blue, and red in a color wordnaming task. Subjects had to say the color of the word while
it was printed in different color ink. For example, the word blue would be written in the color red.
They first did this using the colored words and then repeated the process with the words printed in
black. They found that the colored word condition suggested a 2.3s longer reaction timethan the
black word condition. This is due to the inference of automatic word reading in the color word
condition. Previous research also suggests that there can be interference with the use of the symbol
of an arrow or the written words right and left in an experiment conducted by, Baldo, Shimamura,
and Prinzmetal (1998). Their findings suggested

  • 2. Albert Camus The Plague Analysis What makes life worth living? Love, excitement, knowledge, or even aiding others show prime examples of answers that come to the mind. Albert Camus states a very different opinion to the world within his novel The plague. In this novel Camus speaks about a small city called Oran. In this city the seasons rarely change and everyone settles for what they have and demonstrate almost a complete feeling of contentedness in their everyday lives. In the novelhe also shows that the saying you don t know what you have until it s gone, may ring true in many cases. Camus shows that people show the actions of contentedness in their ways and don t realize what they have until time has run out by explaining the functions of the people in Oran, showing... Whether by the ordinary life they overlooked until disease had taken it, loved ones that were merely there until sickness had struck, or the freedom that disappeared, vanquished by a quarantine this novel has example after example of the great things in life that people don t appreciate until it is gone. This theme has been stated in countless books and movies, but Albert Camus found a way to put this theme down in a way that requires the reader to really think about what message the Camus tries to convey. So next time the sun comes up or you have a good day, think of The Plague, and show gratitude for what today ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Discovery Of Naledi Research Paper In the historical year of 2013, two amateur cave explorers, Rick Hunter and Steven Tucker, discovered a primitive human like species in a cave in South Africa. After two years, Lee Berger, a professor at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa was tipped off by the cavers, who had explored the deep cave to find multiple fossils. Berger and his team soon identified the multitude of fossils as a primitive human. This revolutionary discovery has added an ancestor to our evolutionary tree. This specie, named naledi, has been classified into the genus, Homo, which includes modern humans. However, due to lack of information, this specie is thought to have three possible ages of existence. One, an early divergence of the specie Australopithecus anamensis,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On the other hand, its skull shows progressive shape, small teeth, long legs, and modern human looking feet. The new specie was discovered in a chamber of the Rising Star cave, 30 meters underground, in a burial site. The fossils were found unharmed and the environment had no sign of a calamity. This leads scientists to believe that these early humans had intentionally taken thought into the burial of their dead. Until the moment of discovery of naledi, I would have probably said to you that it was our defining character. The idea of burial of the dead or ritualized body disposal is something utterly uniquely human, says Berger. This idea of another people intentionally burying its dead has left many scientists to question human identity. After all, if this specie was found after many years proving it has been involved in burial rituals before, what others may we find in the future. It absolutely questions what makes us human. And I don t think we know anymore what does, Berger states. In other words, how many more secrets are out there . . . just waiting to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Comparison Between Menkaure and His Wife, and Nike from... Naturalism in art refers to the depiction of realistic objects in a natural setting. The Realism movements of the 19th century advocated naturalism in reaction to the stylized and idealized depictions of subjects in Romanticism, but many painters have adopted a similar approach over the centuries. One example of Naturalism is the artwork of American artist William Bliss Baker, whose landscape paintings are considered some of the best examples of the naturalist movement. Idealism is the attitude that places special value on ideas and ideals as products of the mind, in comparison with the world as perceived through the senses. In art idealism is the tendency to represent things as aesthetic sensibility would have them rather than as they... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By an unknown artist, the sculpture is thought to date from the period 220 BC 190 BC (though some scholars date it as early as 250 BC or as late as 180 BC). Her drapery serves to dramatically emphasize both her dynamic forward movement against the wind and her full, robust form her powerful thighs and the active, contracted muscles of her torso. The drapery clings with thin, long, and uneven ripples to her breasts, abdomen, right leg, and left thigh, its near transparency revealing these parts of the body almost as if they were nude. Excess fabric forms heavy yet dynamically irregular shapes and bunches. A long, uneven arc of cloth between her legs accentuates their motion and implies the counter force of the wind against her body. The sculptor draws attention to this downward arc with a swath of drapery that flies forward from the left hip and collides in a V shape with the longer swath at the Nike s pelvis. At the same time, in the back of the statue fabric soars out behind the figure in rigid crests. The effect of this drapery is choppy and uneven, the wind whipping the cloth as it does sea below into irregular peaks and troughs. A partial inscription on the base of the statue includes the word Rhodhios (Rhodes), indicating that the statue was commissioned to celebrate a naval ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. A Colored Girl By Zora Neale Hurston SpeakerZora Neale Hurston is the speaker of this article, who is a colored girl growing up in a small Negro town in Florida named Eatonville. When she moved to Jacksonville, she realized what it was actually like being a colored girl in the outside world. Nevertheless, she was really proud of her ethnicity and disregarded all criticism. Occasion When Zora lived in the small Negro town Eatonville, she hardly noticed any differences between blacks and whites. However, after moving to Jacksonville at the age of thirteen, she expanded her horizon and became to notice the huge differences between blacks and whites. She realized that blacks were still slightly discriminated by other races on the outside world even after decades of desegregation. For example, when whites pointed out the fact that she was the granddaughter of slaves, she clearly expressed the blacks were moving forward and were no longer the subject of discrimination. She felt like as a colored girl, she was not being treated equally by other races. This had prompted her to write this article and express the unfairness of racism in our society today. Audience This article clearly illustrates the inequality of races in our society. It is directed to whites who still perceive blacks as grandsons and granddaughters of slaves . She also wrote this article in order urge the blacks to work harder and believe in themselves. Purpose Zora s purpose in writing this article is to inform the whites that the blacks are ... • 7. Juvenile Boot Camps Essay Running Head: Juvenile Boot Camps Juvenile Boot Camps John Coale TESST College CM102 Professor Tuer September 4, 2010 Abstract This paper will discuss the history of the canine dog. This paper will also discuss the different breeds of the canine and its purposes. This paper focuses on the training, handling, and the overall care of the canine by the police or other agencies involving canines. Increased juvenile delinquency and engagement in crime has been an issue of concern to many parents and the authority in general. Although juvenile crimes have been there even in the past, they have been increasing at an alarming rate and the intensity of crimes committed has also increased. However the criminal justice system has set ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example in some cases individuals are sentenced to a term of participation in boot camps for about 90 to 180 days which can substitute a jail term of about 10 years. However the equation of boot camp term and the jail term substituted usually varies with the boot camp facility and the state. In case juvenile offenders are not wiling to serve in boot camps, then they are compelled to serve their jail term. Therefore participation in boot camps is not compulsory and individuals can prefer to serve their original jail term instead. (Cowles, 2005) The first boot camp was opened in the United States in Georgia and Oklahoma around 1983. The initial set of the boot camps was to maximize the rate of deterrence, reduce the crowding in juvenile prison, to decrease the cost of penal and the correction system, and in order to reduce the rate of recidivism. Boot camps were however supposed to find a middle ground between restrictive prison system and the less strict probation. Boot camps are therefore less restrictive than the system in prisons and harsher than the system in probation. In the recent past, there had been some disquiet from some parents and juveniles about their life in juvenile camps. It is argued that some boots camps have been exposing juvenile to harsh military training exposing them to various dangers which they may not be prepared for. For example in 2006, boot camps were banned in Florida following the death of Lee Anderson ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The major effects of the Period of Warring States was an increase in philosophy, a change of ruling, and a change of ruling style. During the Period of Warring States, there was a surplus of philosophical beliefs and because of the warring, those beliefs were widely spread. Research Paper On Vlad The Impaler Vlad was the Prince of the Wallachian kingdom (also referred as the Voivode of Wallachia, which means the same) in three different occasions which nowadays doesn t exist, but it was located at the south of the actual Romania. He achieved the throne after his father was killed. Some quotations of the Draculabook that I consider as references to the fact that Vlad the Impaler was a prince and a member of the high class, are the next ones: It is late, and my people are not available (page 24). This quotation may not be a clear one, but I think it is and I am going to explained it: a prince is the ruler of a kingdom, his kingdom, and the people who lived in his kingdom belongs to him. However, I have found some web pages that explain the same thought I once had in your class, so I am going to let the bibliographic reference of one of them at the end of the essay to let you know. The last think I want to talk about in this essay is about the movie Bram Stoker s Dracula from the director Francis Ford Coppola. At the beginning of this movie, it is explained how the character of Dracula became a vampire and it is said that he was a warrior called Draculea, from the Order of the Dragon, who fought to protect the Christian world. What s more, in the scene where Dracula welcomes Jonathan Harker into his castle, there is a conversation about a picture hanging in a wall. Harker asks the Count who is the man on the picture and he tells him that it is an ancestor of him from the order of the Dragon. The reported prevalence is very variable because the diagnostic criteria used differ significantly according to the epidemiological studies. Strict selection criteria are used in all studies on the efficacy of ADHD management. There are no randomized studies of specific techniques such as behavior modification or intensive contingency management. There is consensus among experts that educational counseling and pedagogical assistance from parents and schools are an integral part of the ADHD approach. In a systematic review, two RCTs (randomized clinical trials) of 50 children aged 6 to 13 years were found: these studies do not indicate any effect on behavioral treatment according to the opinion of the teacher or parents. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Tax Havens The central argument of this paper is that tax havens are not only mediums for tax avoidance and evasion but belong more broadly to the world of finance. Viewed individually, tax havens may appear small and insignificant; combined, they play a central role in the world economy, where liberalization and deregulation of the financial sphere has caused an exponential growth of tax havens in the last 40 years. I would define tax havens as jurisdictions that have sufficient autonomy and most importantly a deliberate interest to write their own tax, finance, and other laws and regulations. The nuclear family concept was debunked and exposed in this cartoon series. To begin, a nuclear family has a variety of factors and elements which contribute to its unnatural appeal. A nuclear family is primarily composed of a pair of heterosexual adults and their children. The nuclear family was familiarized and primarily catered towards the white and middle class individuals. The ideological construction of a nuclear familyis a homogenized ideology of what human kind and society should be. The development of the nuclear family ideal was a cultural and political response to World War II. It was a concept which perpetuated and expressed that any other form of family was unacceptable, such as, families which were composed of a single parent, or families with parents of the same sex. This ideal, therefore, created a false understanding of normality. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution ( Quote by John Adams ). The Two Party system has been around since the start of America. The Two Party system is a system that has two parties that the government, or America in this case, has that lead the government or America. At the current time, the two parties are the Republican and Democrat parties. It was created with the idea that everyone can be represented within either of the parties. Even though it does create some representation of the people, the two party system does not create an equal policy in society because it does not allow people to get far if they are not within either of the two parties, does not allow the idea of having more than two parties, and because it doesn t represent everyone. First, the two party system does not create an equal policy in society because it does not allow people to get far if they are not within either of the two parties. • 18. Confucianism Bring Harmony In Society According to The Analects, Confucianism brings harmony by not doing things to others that you wouldn t want done to yourself. Confucianists follow Ren and Li. Ren (humility) is when one is kind, benevolent, and has humaneness towards others. Li is the rituals, rites, etiquette and propriety which lead to peace and harmony. Ren brings harmony by someone giving love and being equal. I believe that ren really does bring harmony into a society because when someone has a lot of pride, it ruins a lot for them, people don t really look at them as a humble person. Humility actually makes you be a better person because you accept when you make errors and not making yourself look as a very important person (this doesn t mean someone feels worthless or bad about themselves). Whereas, Li brings harmony by knowing and accepting where you stand in society. The best example I could think of is respect. You have to respect whom is above you. For example it is my obligation to respect my older sisters because I m younger than them. In class, I was told that if everyone does the proper thing, society will function well and will lead to peace and harmony. Whereas, Taoism brings harmony by accepting things the way they are. The concepts of Yin and Yang bring harmony to Taoists. Yin and yang represent the fluidity of the universe. Yin meaning dark, passive, female and yang meaning light, active, male. • 19. Motion and Car Safety Motion is how everything in the universe moves, movement of the solar system never stops and is constantly moving but at a very slow speed. There are three laws in motion that explain movement, they are the Newton s three laws of motion named after Isaac Newton. The Newton s first law states that an object that is a rest will stay at rest unless an outside force is acted upon it and an object that is in motion will stay in motion unless an outside force is acted upon it. This is also called as inertia , which means the property of an object to restrict its motion. Examples of inertia would be when a car is driving at a constant speed and instantly stops the person will fall forward if there is no seat belt. The seat belt is a safety device that is commonly found on car seats and aircraft seats, it is made from strong durable materials such as fabric, nylon or polyester. Cars that are manufactured are required to have seat belts due to road safety laws. The law was introduced in the 1970s, it was shown that having seat belts reduced the amount of road deaths. The seat belt was invented by George Cayley in the late 1800 s, the seat belt appeared on planes in the early 1900 s but was later developed to a three point seat belt by Nils Bohlin. The purpose of seat belts is to restrain the forward motion that occurs during an accident, which may end up saving the person s life or preventing serious injuries. In many cases, home is remembered in a certain time setting, hence nostalgia and remembering the past are common reflections for numerous people. That is why people mention or reference the good old days. In a modern age where people travel and there is constant progress in culture and society, people can easily lose something significant. The only way to possibly re live it is by embracing the memories. The result is a hiraeth, a Welsh word for an intense longing for home. Ron Rash s Myopia and Milking Traces and Robert Morgan s Heaven reflect on the emotions that are associated with remembering the past and clinging to home settings. In their poems, Rash and Morgan illustrate the idea of hiareth through imagery, metaphors and symbolisms. In Rash s Myopia, he presents a sense of intense longing for home through visual imagery and symbols. The speaker adds great emphasis when he describes the components of his great grandmother s glasses. The lenses are the dominant component, which suggests that when [looking] out a window to see / the world as [his great grandmother] did, doing so reminds him of what his family s home would look like in the past (lines 9 10). • 22. Taking a Look at Coordinating Compounds Coordinating compounds, usually noted by their Indo Aryan name dvandva . Coordination complexes were notable since the start of chemistry. The definition and border of the class of coordinating compounds involves two issues: initially, what a compound is and how can we distinguish coordinative compounds from alternative multiword expressions; second, the understanding of what coordination is, and the way it s to be distinguished from alternative, non symmetrical relations (e.g. subordination). The major breakthrough occurred once Alfred Werner put forward in 1893 that Co(III) bears six ligands in an octahedral geometry. His theory permits one to grasp the distinction between coordinated and ionic in a compound, for instance chloride within the cobalt ammine chlorides and to clarify several of the earlier unexplainable isomers. In 1914, Werner resolved the first coordination complex, known as hexol, into optical isomers, overthrowing the idea that solely carbon compounds may possess chirality. Introduction Coordination compound is a compound formed from a Lewis acid and a BrГёnsted base , a Lewis acid being an electron pair acceptor and a BrГёnsted base a proton acceptor. • 24. The Invention Of Tradition By Eric Hobsbawm And Terence... Tradition is an integral and powerful aspect of life for everyone on the planet. From the rainforests of Madagascar to the bustling metropolis of New York City, cultural, religious, and social traditions are engrained in the very fiber of human identity. Due to this fierce loyalty to one s traditions, we as people, don t often question where are traditions came from. We ignore the questions about their ethics and moral values, and turn a blind eye to traditions that just don t necessarily make sense. The Invention of Tradition by Eric Hobsbawm and Terence Ranger delves into this avoided facet of history how traditions become what they are to society. The cultural life of Walesin the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries provides a striking parallel to the mindset of a large demographic of American citizens today. • 26. Maria Montessori Curriculum Essay The Montessori Curriculum Model Dina Fikeru, Evealin Cruz, Olga Cruz, Althea Robinson, Talaya Thompson Montessori Curriculum 1.Underlying Philosophy Montessori education curriculum is based on the philosophy of continuous development, love, caring and uniqueness. In the Montessori classroom, every child is provided with unique opportunities to develop both moral and cognitive skills in areas that motivate students (Isaacs, 2015). For example, if a child loves construction, the teacher may provide construction materials such as small boxes, tapes and superglue that is necessary for assembling the boxes together. This makes learning both interactive and enjoyable. The role of significant adults such as teachers is to provide guidance on what the child should do to realize his/her goals (Isaacs, 2015). For example, if the child is defeated on how to assemble the boxes, the teacher should guide the child until the child has fully mastered the task. 2.Historical Perspectives The history of Montessori s curriculum dates back to 1906 when Maria Montessori founded the first Children s House by the name Casa dei Bambini in Rome, Italy (Isaacs, 2015). It was in this children s house that Maria developed a keen interest on how children develop their cognitive abilities and moral behavior. She realized that every child possesses unique skills and talents that should not be generalized in a single classroom (Ansari Winsler, 2014). In other words, Montessori ... • 30. The Tyger Poem Analysis This poem dramatizes the conflict between the divine perspective and the speaker s terrified human and morally affronted perspective. The theme of The Tyger is creation and the ability of divine figure to create evil. The poem mainly focuses on the beauty and ferociousness of creation in general and how we think we see the whole story. William Blakewrote this piece in the voice of a witness that watched the making of the so called Tyger and what it has become. This witness describes to the audience which is directed to society of what he/she sees in order to open their eyes to see the bigger picture. The poem is written in a rhythm of both trochaic and iambic meter where the author purposely changes the last line of each stanzain order to make that specific line stand out the most for the audience to notice. The Tygeris composed of six stanzas, each containing four lines, and is written with an AABB rhyme scheme. Many of the sentences are written as interrogative sentences as Blake asks several rhetorical questions. Also, the first and last stanzas are almost identical, with the exception of a single word, which emphasizes this text and at the end forces the reader to reevaluate these words after reading the rest of the poem. The author uses words such as fearful, dread, and deadly to draw an image for the reader that the creature is a beast capable of destruction. The first 2 lines begin with the repetition of the character ( Tyger, Tyger ). The repetition creates a chant like mood to the whole poem, which contributes to the mysteriousness. It quotes burning bright (1) which is an example of alliteration. This piece may describe the appearance of the Tyger as tigers have fiery orange fur, or it may on a deeper analyzation describe a kind of energy or power that this Tyger possesses. The Tyger s presence in the forests of the night (2) further increases the mystery and power of the creature it s mysterious, while at the same time burning with some sort of inner force. • 35. Techniques Used For Air Navigation Essay The techniques used for air navigation will depend on whether the aircraft is in flight under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) or Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). In the latter case, the pilot will navigate exclusively using radio navigation instruments and aids such as beacons, or as directed under radar control by air traffic control. In the case of VFR, a pilot navigates heavily using dead calculations combined with visual (pilot) observations, referring to appropriate maps. This can be supplemented using radio navigation aids. Given the flight plan and the position of the aircraft, the flight management system calculates the route to be taken. The driver can take this course manually, or the autopilot can be configured to take the course. The flight management system mode is normally called LNAV or lateral navigation for the lateral flight plan and VNAV or vertical navigation for the vertical flight plan. VNAV provides targets and speeds of height and altitude, and LNAV provides a balanced control of automatic piloting. • 36. Persuasive Speech On Sea Turtles Imagine a world of chaos. We see things like that all the time in movies, where zombies roam the earth and there are just those few main survivors left. The world is in ruins. If ocean life was to die out, there would be a collapse of civilization as a whole. Just like we see on TV, the world would become a place where no order exists. This would lead to human extinction. The ocean dies, we die along with it, and if sea turtles die, so does the ocean. In simple words, one could say that human life depends on sea turtles. In this speech I will be covering three topics. First, how a sea turtles diet benefits marine life and humans, second, how sea turtles provide homes and food for other species, and last, how sea turtles protect beaches from washing away. Sea turtles have been a big help in maintaining the health of the world s ocean for more than 100 million years. They help by keeping up coral reefs all the way to transporting nutrients to beaches. Major changes have occurred in oceans everywhere due to the decline of the sea turtle population. Oceans are unhealthy because of this. It is time for us to protect the sea turtles and rebuild their population to ensure healthy oceans in the future. According to oceana.org, there are seven species of sea turtles that roam the world, six of which inhabit U.S. waters, and have been listed as either endangered, or threatened. Up until now, all six of these species are not at a healthy level despite protection measures from the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Some populations even continue to decline. Even at a diminished population, sea turtles play an important role in ecosystems. They are also extremely important to humans because they keep oceans healthy, and we use the ocean as a food source. They keep up the health of the ocean in many different ways, all of which, are very important. Sea turtles are one of the few animals that eat sea grass. Just like normal lawn grass, sea grass needs to be constantly cut short to help it grow across the sea floor rather than just getting really long blades. Without constant grazing, sea grass beds obstruct currents and provide a suitable habitat for the growth of slime molds. Sea grass beds provide breeding grounds for many ... • 37. Psychoanalytic Analysis of Looking for Alaska Essay Katerina Syntelis Barbara Bontempo, Ph.D. ENG694 В– Teaching Literature January 20, 2008 PSYCHOANALYTIC ANALYSIS OF LOOKING FOR ALASKA It seems natural to think about novels in terms of dreams or psychoanalytical realities. Like dreams, novels are fictions, inventions of the mind that, though based on reality, are by definition not exactly and literally true. Conversely, dreams may have some truth to tell but like novels their truth must be interpreted before it can be grasped. Such is the case with John Green s young adult novel, Looking for Alaska. It holds many truths that are relevant to young adults, but to extract those lessons, one must first view the plot and characters through a lens of psychoanalytical theory. ... He is only a colonel in that he has the ability to strategize and rank his troops for the purpose of prank deployment. And finally, the beautifully damaged, larger than life Alaska Young. As her name implies, she is so young to have the problems that she has and meet such an untimely demise. She is also aptly named Alaska because she is (or wishes to be) an unknown, mysterious, possibly dangerous frontier to her schoolmates. We learn well into the novel, that Alaska experienced a horrible tragedy when she was little: her mother had an aneurysm and died in front of her. Alaska, in shock, was unable to take any action to save her mother and has since tried to control situations with her own volatility and unpredictability. She manipulates those around her by alternating between being a misunderstood victim and an instigator of mischief. As an adult reader who has crossed over to the reality of life, reading about these characters can be a transparent, futile exercise because as adults looking back at youth we have the experience to know where these characters are headed before they even start their journey. However, for young adults who are still in the throes of existential angst this is a powerful novel that handles teenage rites of passage and coming of age issues such as loyalty, friendship, belonging, and even death and loss very well. They are solids that can go through the process of high temperature and high pressure. (Pilgrim, 2011) It is known to man that diamonds are the hardest material on the earth. (Sean, 2008) With a melting point of 3550 в„ѓand a boiling point of 4827 C. As you can see above that diamonds have an extremely high melting point (m.p) and a high boiling point (b.p.) The pressure to produce diamonds are also in extreme conditions, diamonds are produced with a temperature range of 900 and 1300 degrees Celsius. • 40. Importance Of Deserving My Education I am deserving of this award due to how I have faced the challenges in my life to continue and improve my education. Throughout my life I ve made sacrifices that most of my peers would not do willingly. From childhood I knew that achieving the best grades and challenging myself in academics would allow me to pursue what I wanted later in life, and I knew it wouldn t be easy. I have sacrificed uncountable amounts of hours that I could have spent with friends or doing other fun activities, to study for my classes. As an example, my mom s side of the family has had many funerals in the recent past. I have chose to miss some of these funerals to stay in school. I do not do this because I don t love my relatives. I miss the funerals because I know how important school is, and that my relatives would want me to succeed in getting a great education and achieving my goals. Making major sacrifices like this allowed me to keep a 4.0 G.P.A. throughout my educational career, and deepen my knowledge of world around me. Not only have I been able to make the sacrifices needed to keep myself ahead of game, but I ve also managed to master my time management skills. I have always loved soccer, and I have push myself time and time again to work at becoming the best I can be. So, when I came into high school and the load of school work and time dedicated to soccer increased, and I knew had to find a way to balance both. This is an issue I constantly see my peers struggling with, but not me. I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 42. Complexity Theory And Leadership Theory Complexity theory and Leadership There are many theories when it comes to leadership. Many of these date back hundreds of years to military styles of leadership. The 1990 s saw the emergence of a new theory in terms of leadership, Complexity Theory, which has since developed further and has been implemented in some of the most successful companies in the world. What is complexity theory? Computational modelling has become ever popular in industries that require prediction of outcomes, by developing complex algorithms that attempt to predict the outcome of certain complex actions. There are a variety of inputs that can drastically change the output of the model. A similar model can be applied to human interaction, with an infinite number ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Complexity theory is the understanding of the processes by which positive innovation and change occurs. How does it vary from traditional leadership methods Each organisation begins out of innovation, someone has an idea and that idea becomes the organisation. This is the Entrepreneurial System, and is responsible for innovation and creativity (Goldstein, et al., 2009). Once the organisation is functioning, the Administrative System begins to take over, accounting for improvements in bureaucracy, efficiency and order. The trade off for efficiency and order is to stifle the creative and innovative change that can lead to chaos (Hazy, 2006). Traditional leadership styles dictate that when there is chaos, that order should be restored, and often followers or employees search for order in times of chaos. However, in applying total order to chaos, creativity and innovation are eliminated by application of a hierarchal authoritarian system (Goldstein, et al., 2009). Instead of oppressing creativity and innovation through order, complexity theory embraces small amounts of chaos implementing minimal changes, encouraging followers to perform their duties in a creative manner. It is important that the levels of chaos do not lead to followers being unable to perform their duties; however, acceptable levels of chaos should be embraced, allowing freedom of thought and interaction between followers (Van de Van, et al., 1999). • 43. The Effect Of Automatic Processes Interfering With... Whether your mom is telling you a list of chores to do while you are watching your favorite TV show or studying for an exam in a noisy room, these are common occurrences that may be affecting you in ways you don t realize. What people may not know is how these instances could cause hindrances when processing information; this is an underlying problem and has been known as interference. When you have attention on more than one thing you may be experiencing interference and this can inhibit cognitive processes. The effects of automatic processes interfering with controlled processes have been known to have been tested through something called a Stroop experiment. The revolutionary study by, Stroop (1935) used 5 different colors; purple, brown, green, blue, and red in a color wordnaming task. Subjects had to say the color of the word while it was printed in different color ink. For example, the word blue would be written in the color red. They first did this using the colored words and then repeated the process with the words printed in black. They found that the colored word condition suggested a 2.3s longer reaction timethan the black word condition. This is due to the inference of automatic word reading in the color word condition. Previous research also suggests that there can be interference with the use of the symbol of an arrow or the written words right and left in an experiment conducted by, Baldo, Shimamura, and Prinzmetal (1998). Their findings suggested ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
