I have learned various skills from working with different technologies to construct this product, including photo editing techniques in Photoshop like resizing images and removing blemishes; creating articles and drop caps in Quark; camera settings for different lighting in SLR photography; recording and uploading audio files using a voice recorder; and writing blog posts through Blogger.com. Working with these technologies was easy once the basic functions were understood. The end products were effective simulations of real media thanks to applying the technological skills.

1. What have you learnt
about technologies from
the process of constructing
this product?
2. PHOTOSHOP
• I have learnt how to resize images
• how to erase any skin blemishes with the
healing tool
• how to cut an image over the masthead by
duplicating the background layer
• how to use the eraser tool to remove parts of
the top layer to the masthead.
3. QUARK
• I have learnt how to create an article/contents
page using the column guides
and
• how to make a drop capital
• how to make a realistic contents and double
page spread.
4. SLR CAMERAS
• I have learnt how to use the settings to take
pictures in different lights with different
effects
• what settings to use so that the image doesn’t
blur if I or the person who I’m taking the
picture of moves.
5. VOICE RECORDER
• I have learnt how to record sound
• how to delete files from the recorder
• how to upload it onto the computer or put it
onto the blog.
6. BLOGGER.COM
• I have learnt how to upload entries
• how to edit entries
• how to save them as a draft to finish later.
7. I found the technology easy to work with once I
began to understand how to use it.
I found that the final products were effective in
that they looked like real media products
thanks to my use of the technologies.
