2. Software
• the main software that was used to produce my magazine was Adobe In Desing
and Photoshop. Photoshop was mainly used for editing my images, cutting out the
backgrounds and adding effects on to the picture. This software wasn't difficult to
use however it was very time consuming. For example when cutting out a
background from a picture the magic eraser tool was used. However sometime it
wouldn't be able to cut the image out correctly so you would have to cut it out
yourself by using the background eraser tool. This would take up most of the time.
•In Design was used to create the actual magazine. Using this programme for the
first time was difficult to use however I quickly over came this problem by
familiarising myself with the different tools and functions. In Design had a very
useful layout as it was set up into thirds which allowed me to decided what could
go where and where it would be the most effective.
• using a blog to share my information was very easy. I was able to set up an
account in no time and get started straight away.
3. Hardware
• I had to use a high quality camera to capture images that would be suitable for my
magazine. The camera had a high mega pixel to catch a quality photograph.
• I had to use the light in a certain way to highlight the model that I was using. I had to
make sure that the lighting wasn't’ too dark so that it would hide features of the model
and it wasn't to light to have a glare on the photo.
• I chose to take mid shots of the models. I also had to direct the photo shoot myself
which allowed my vision to get put across. I stood my models in certain positions which
I felt would give my magazine a unique fresh look.
