1. QUESTION 6
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF
CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?
2. • My knowledge of cameras, camera accessories and film related software has gone
from nothing to a relevant level of understanding over the course of constructing
my film opening. I aimed to be able to use technologies to enhance my media
product to a professional standard. In my opinion, the outcome has been
successfully reached; I’ve used different technologies, such as Final Cut and the
cameras, to make my film opening as good of a standard as possible.
3. • With the help of peers and staff I have been able to use the cameras to film
professionally used techniques, such as a focus pull and pans. Also, I have
creatively used film related software to do different things: I have used Final Cut
to edit my footage; Audacity to edit some of the audio I have used in my
opening; Photoshop to edit my production logos.
4. • There is a lot of hardware that I have learnt about as well. I have learnt how to
stand a camera on a tripod and then use it to effectively and steadily record
footage. I’ve learnt how to attach a microphone to a camera to improve the
quality of the audio in my film opening. I have also learnt about the different lens,
such as standard and prime, how they work and how to use them on a camera.
5. • Work based learning has been the best way forward with the construction of this
product as it has allowed me to get hands on with all the different technologies
both physical and software based. As well as learning how to use them, I have
learnt that these technologies are difficult to use and it takes a lot of time
practising before you can properly master them.
