Evaluation question 6
1. Evaluation question 6
What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
2. Adobe Photoshop CS4 – CS6
• Adobe photoshop is a professional design program
used for many development processes, It was easy to
pick up and I found it easy to develop my front cover
from using this.
• From the use of this product and developing my
product I learnt how touse the layer mask tool to put
parts of another image through the one above.
• I also learnt how to use the creation tools such as
shapes and also the use o the clone stamp to help me
clean up my product to make it look professional.
3. Adobe InDesign CS4
• I used this to produce my contents page and double
page spread and because of this simple design
software I was able to develop my product into an
organized professional model.
• I learnt how to use InDesign efficiently, by using this I
was able to add columns so that I could line up my text
and images to stay straight and not out of line with
other parts of my product
• Lastly I learnt how to place images and also put text
through several boxes through the use of the place tool
allowing me to put my images in and also my article.
4. Blogger
• I used www.blogger.com during my product
development and this allowed my to put my work
into my portfolio as I did it and also organize it as
I go along.
• I learnt how to embed web documents and slide
shows such as my prezi’s and my pixton comics
showing the work I have done off the site.
• I learnt how to upload the images and text about
my product also to link youtube clips and my own
videos to the blog for the reader to see.
5. Prezi
• Prezi I found very useful I used it for multiple
presentations throughout the development of my
portfolio, its simple but brilliant layout allows you to
make a good powerpoint through setting up paths to
images and text for the readers to follow.
• I leant how to use it well through multiple uses, using it
to make my textual analysis presentation, along with
being able to set up the paths I want the presentation
to follow.
• I also learnt how to place the text and maneuver it to
be in line with images of my own.
6. Pixton
• This is a fun little site that I used to show my
distribution process. It allows you to make a
comic of your own.
• I learnt how to organize my characters in the
comic to look as if interacting with another.
• I learnt how to add the speech to the
characters to emulate the conversation
between them.
7. Youtube
• I used this to upload my video clip of my
evaluation question 2, this allowed me to
present this clip without any issue.
• I learnt how to upload my videos to youtube
and embed them into my prezi.
8. IMac
• Before developing this product I had nevr
used an apple mac before so I struggled to use
this system because it is very different from
using windows.
• This allowed me to become familiar with the
operating system and it became simpler for
me to organize my files and open the
programs I used. I now feel very confident in
using the system.
9. SLR Digital Camera
• I had never used a SLR Digital Camera before this
product, I found it hard to use at first but when taking
my risk assessment images and practicing my skills on
models before my photoshoots I was able to be fully
confident when I went into the studio and took my
professional images on black screen.
• One thing I learnt about an SLR was that I could use the
effects built in to make images look better by using
things like the delay on the shutter to create a glow
effect on lights and other things such as this.
