2. Target Readership.
• My music magazine will be aimed at 18-30
year old rock fans.
• Readers of the magazine will mainly be from
the C1/C2 socioeconomic groups. Some
readers may be students working part-time, or
be on apprenticeships.
4. Form and Style.
• My magazine will be a colour A4 magazine.
• It will contain reviews and previews of
albums, interviews with bands and artists and
news on festivals/concerts.
• The magazine will have a dark colour scheme;
i.e. black and red.
• The cover will feature images of famous bands
or artists: for example: AC/DC.
5. Form and Style (continued).
• Cover lines will give previews to articles in the
magazine, making it sound exciting and up to
date.
• Graphics and fonts will be bold and striking, to
try to make the magazine seem bold and edgy.
6. Themes and typical features.
• My magazine will feature articles on popular
artists from all sub genres of rock; i.e.
punk, metal, alternative, progressive etc.
• The mode of address will be fairly
informal, but not too chatty to suggest a sense
of relaxation without being too childish.
7. Potential advertisers.
• The magazine would have a range of
advertisers. Most to do with music;
Fender, Marshall, Stag, VOX.
• There would also be advertisements for new
and upcoming albums.
• There may also occasionally be adverts for
other types of media i.e. films and games.
• There could also be adverts for alcohol and
food stuffs.
8. Editorial Team.
• The editorial team for the magazine will
contain experienced writers in their thirties
and possibly early forties.
• The team must be able to identify with
readers, but also have a little more experience
under their belt.
