2. Target Audience
•The target audience of my music magazine is 16-30 as the genre of
the magazine is house/dance, grime and rap which is for the age
group I have specified.
•I have also aimed the magazine at both male and females as both
genders generally listen to that style of music.

3. Genre
•The music genre of my magazine is House/Dance which is a popular
music genre at the moment.
•This includes artists such as Calvin Harris, Avicii andTchami for the
house music side of the magazine and for the grime and rap side
artists such as skepta, drake and stormzy will feature
•The genre style is very modern and upbeat and is listened to the
majority of young people therefore it fits the genre

4. Publishing my magazine
•My magazine would be published weekly to keep readers constantly
entertained and engrossed in the content of the magazine.
•My magazine would cost around £4.99 as it is affordable and young
people wouldn’t particularly want to spend anything above £5 for a
magazine
•Some editions will feature “freebies” usually of sample tracks of
some of the artists featured in the article.
•The first edition of the magazine will be priced £1.99 as it will
encourage more people to buy it and then eventually get into the
content of the magazine and buy more.

5. Magazine look
•The magazine will adopt a similar look to the magazine mixmag
which is very sleek and modern and therefore glossy like Q
magazine.
•This is because the target audience would prefer a magazine which
reflects their modern personalities

6. Contents
•The contents page of the magazine will feature sections regarding
interviews with big headline artists, interviews with upcoming
artists, recent events and information on popular music etc. there
will also feature certain related images around the contents page to
attract the reader.

7. Featured artists
•The artist that will feature on my will be an upcoming male DJ who
is of the House/Dance genre which fit with one of the genres of the
magazine itself.The artist was chosen as he fits the genre and is a
modern DJ who has recently been coming up in the industry.The
artist is relatively well known however a free CD track will be
provided for those who haven't heard of him to listen to a sample of
his music.

8. •I have chosen Bauer Media Group to publish my magazine because
the company has various links with other forms of media such as
radio and television which would help to expand the magazine.
•Also Bauer Media cater to various styles and genres of magazines
and its links with television and radio will help to broaden the
amount of readers and ultimately gain newer readers too.
