• My primary target audience of the magazine is for 17-29-year-
old men and women who have an interest in rock music and
belonging to a subculture.
• My secondary target audience of the magazine is for 30/50-
year-old men and women who used to live in a. period time
where rock was the trendiest type of music.
• My tertiary target audience of the magazine is for anyone who
follows specific artists who are featured in my magazine. This
target audience will not be regular every month
3. P U R P O S E
• The purpose of my magazine is to
let people who are interested in
rock music feel motivated and
inspired to find new types of
genres and styles of music.
• This magazine is for people to feel
happy during the day and a chance
to transport themselves into
another headspace while reading.

• The masthead of the magazine is going to be a very
rushed/quick font of the magazine in order to give off a
slight ‘thrashing’ feeling.
• The font of the text inside the magazine is going to be
neat and concise – so I will be using Calibri.
Here is an example of the Calibri Font
6. C O N T E N T
• The content of my magazine is going to
consist of several double page spread
interviews with different artists as well
as new and local bands who are
performing.
• These interviews let the reader get to
know the artist on a much deeper and
‘personal’ level without being next to
them.
• The reason that including new and local
bands is a good idea is because it will
help the reader find these new artists
and let them explore different types of
songs and music.
7. G E N R E
• The genre of the magazine is going to be rock.
• I think that rock was a very good decision since it is a very
emotional and expressive type of music
• Rock music is extremely popular in music capitals in north
London such as Camden Town and Chalk Farm.
8. P L AY L I S T O F F E R
• In order to further satisfy the reader, I have decided that it would be a
good idea to include a rock playlist which will go very well with the genre
of my magazine. This playlist will make the customer excited that another
person has gone to the effort to find new rock music that they will enjoy.
• On this playlist, I will include music from bands such as:
• Greta Van Fleet
• The Struts
• Bad Flower
• CleoPatrick
• Stand Atlantic

• The magazine will be sold in stores and online
• It will be sold in magazine stands and other retailers such as
WHSmith
• The magazine will also be advertised via social media in order to
reach the younger audience below 35
• The magazine will be advertised digitally through spotify
• The magazine will be advertised on billboards
12. C O M P E T I T I O N
• The competition of the magazine will be other big rock
magazine names such as the rolling stones, kerrang! And
Relix.
• The reason my magazine will stand out from these
competitors is because it will offer rock musicians who are
local and near your area so you can go see them immediately
– the pandemic also comes into this about traveling abroad
and not being able to see artists from other countries.
