progress and the foundation of distance and online learning. According to Kentnor " Online
education is no longer a trend, but mainstream" (3). Distance education is defined as a method of
teaching where the student and teachers are physically separated (Kentnor). Online learning can be
done by mail, internet, face to face, and television. This shows the importance of the progress and
how many people participates in distant learning. Distant learning has become an important part of
education and the data is here to show that. I will use a lot of data and materials from this source
than will back up my information. It will be more research than the first source given. Something
different that will be used is " Distance education is the internet as the delivery mechanism with at
least 80% of the course context delivered online" (3). I will use " In the fall of 2012, 69% of chief
academic leaders indicated online learning was critical to their long term strategy and of the 20.6
million students enrolled in higher educations, 6.7 million were enrolled on in an online course" (1).

Advantages Of Online Learning
Conventional Education And Advantages Of Online Learning There are a few issues with the
conventional arrangement of training. Above all else, you have to pay a great many dollars for every
term to go to a prestigious school. With every one of those spending cuts, occupied classrooms, and
course deficiencies, you won't generally find the opportunity to concentrate precisely what you
need. It's no big surprise why a large number of understudies from all around the globe settle on
online degree projects or take no less than one school course through an online stage. Web learning
must be the best transformation in contemporary training. It rolled out a tremendous improvement in
the framework and opened incredible open doors for everybody who ... Show more content on

The Effectiveness Of Online Language Learning
The Effectiveness of Online Language Learning: One Student 's Personal Perspective The
traditional classroom is quickly becoming obsolete as teachers struggle to keep up with the
competition of technology. Educators are expected to bring and use innovative ideas to the
classroom so that students are more engaged and prepared to succeed in the 21st century. With the
advancement of technology, rural school districts can easily access subjects and courses that are not
readily available at their districts due to lack of adequate funds to hire a full time teacher and then in
turn offer these classes to their students for graduation requirements. One credit that is a must for all
high school graduates is two foreign language credits. This might ... Show more content on

second language, the learner should take an active approach when speaking the language causing
the learning process to become less difficult with assistance from people who already know the
language (79). In language acquisition, it is imperative that the learner be exposed not only to
auditory examples of the language but also visual examples. Providing ample interaction with native
speakers of the language to be acquired ensures correct syntactic and semantic use of the language.
"Language learning must always be regarded as a social process. That is, individuals learn both
content and language as they engage with others in a variety of settings to accomplish specific
purposes" (73). However, because of technology, the classroom is quickly changing to meet the
demands of the students. It is moving "from teacher–centered approaches towards a personalized,
small–group oriented, multi–dimensional model of teaching" (Sun 18). Because of this, the "roles
and relationships of teachers and students have undergone changes compared to those in traditional
face–to–face settings" (19). So what does this new classroom look like? Joshua enters a classroom

Online Vs. Traditional Learning
Online Versus Traditional Learning
Today 's generation relies so much on technology that it has now been incorporated into the schools
curriculum. What we once knew and have learned by using school books, is now being taught
strictly electronic communication. Although the online environment learning can be utilized to
enhance classroom lessons, doesn 't mean it should come a main source of teaching. Schools around
the nation has remove the use of textbooks and worksheet from the classroom it is a known fact that
all learners don 't comprehend through the same techniques and or methods. Some students need the
traditional method or individual attention. Issues learning through Web–based, Distance and
Blended learning can be good or bad, but even worse becoming a primary tool in classroom.
Electronic communication suppose help alter and increase the learners way of thinking but what
about the ones who are less mature, motivated and discipline, they will need face to face teaching.
Teachers can explain the information in a way the learner can related to what being taught. Teachers
add experiences, personality, compassion that 's something an electronic device can 't do it doesn 't
feel or understand that the learner is not catching on it only does what is program inside its system
to do. Distractions is another issue, it 's proven that multi–tasking is regular for students and that
many students are found switching between competing activities highly distracting according to,

Difference Between Classroom Learning And Online Learning
Bishnu Khatiwada Classroom learning vs online learning Development in the education sector has
given people many choices of learning to meet their educational goals. The current and popular
systems of learning are classroom learning and online learning. I used to think all ways of learning
are the same, until I had taken a couple of classes and had to overcome some challenges classroom
learning and online learning are different in terms of support network, quality of peer interaction,
decision – making, and success Having a support network is a useful tool for achieving success.
Many students cannot succeed in learning because they face challenges of finding the right
resources that are available to them. There are many resources available on campus and they are
organized in such a way that they are easy to access like campus tutoring centers for different
subjects, reading club, on–campus library, and different student organizations that are available to
assist them. For example, whenever students have trouble understanding any course material, they
have an opportunity go to the tutoring center and seek help. However, it is very hard to get those
resources available to leaners who take online courses. Whenever students have trouble
understanding the assignment, they need to rely on email conversations to solve the problem and
don't know when their teacher is going to get back to them. It can be very frustrating. One of my
friends shared his experience taking an online course for math, and it was very difficult to
understand the course materials with tutorials video. He told me about his experience stocking in the
middle of the assignment was approaching was huge problem to overcome and maintain grade.
Quality peer interaction is important for all human beings, cannot imagine life without any
interaction. Classroom can be good place to meet a new people from diverse backgrounds, even
from a different culture. Meeting people we can share common interest, learn about new culture

Questions On Online Learning Styles
When it comes to learning styles, what exactly comes to mind? Would it be hands on, auditory, or
tactile learning? Those are all similar styles that can be park of online learning or most of all the
traditional style of learning. So what would you choose? There are many similarities when it comes
to traditional and online learning but it's important to know there are just as many differences
between the two. When it comes to the two learning styles there are always the different
distractions, learning methods, and always the occasional getting in the way of work.
Let's start with talking about online learning. There are about 6.1 Million people enrolled in online
courses according to an article written by Steven Kolowich. (I was one of them my first semester.)
Why take an online course you ask? Well sometimes you don't have enough time out of the day to
be able to drive up to the college and sit in a classroom for hours at a time. With taking online
courses it gives you more time but it does cause a lot of distractions. You're going to be doing a lot
of your work at home. This means whatever you have going on around your house is a given
distraction. Whether it's a TV playing in the background, a dog that won't sit still, or of course the
route–y toddler you have playing with blocks as you type this essay! There's also different learning
methods you will experience while taking online courses. Almost all of the work will be in front of
your computer screen, (unless you're

The Importance Of Interactivity In Online Learning
Interactivity in our lives is very important especially in the learning process between learners and
instructors and the learning content. Interaction can be used in different teaching environments like
formal and informal education. The learner can interact with the teacher in order to get some
knowledge. (Bernard et al., 2009; Ke, 2013) As a student, the interaction is really the crucial
element for their fundamental knowledge and emotional development in traditional teaching
methods. (Song and McNary (2011)). Interactivity can be used in both entertainment and education,
in particular online learning. Due to the rapid expansion and progress of Technology and the
Internet, online learning became very popular in higher education. (Ke & Kwak, 2013; Wei &Chou,
2014). It can enable learners and instructors to detour the daily or weekly regular teaching methods
and instead get their knowledge online. Online Learning can also enable learners to get knowledge
and skills over a variety of different learning applications without having limits on time and space.
(Allen & Seaman, 2013; Kaymak & Horzum , 2013). As a result, interaction is one of the most
important factor for a successful learning experience. (Cho & Kim, 2013; Garner & Bol, 2011;
Kang & Im, 2013; Richardson & Swan, 2003; Watson, 2013). A sub–category of interaction is the
interactive video which is a new technology that integrates the management of infomation and the

Learning Online And Traditional Classroom Setting
During my educational journey I have experienced learning online and in a traditional classroom
setting. Working in a classroom allowed me to receive a more hands on approach with my learning
from my instructor. Learning in person helped me to seek help if I was confused, ask questions, and
receive a response immediately. Upon completing my work assignments, I was able to work side by
side with my classmates and collaborate, and work as a team. Most importantly, everything is at
your fingertips such as your class material and a physical textbook. In addition, in a classroom
setting you are able to take quizzes and tests that will help you retain the information by answering
the questions.
However, learning online is totally a different ball game. When learning online most of the time
there is no test or quizzes involved, you work at your own pace, and the only material you will need
is your computer. Working at your own pace helps because, it allows you to work ahead and
complete your assignments according to your own schedule and not having to wait on your
instructor. A great advantage to learning online is, not having to travel to a physical classroom. Your
work is available at any time of the day. Everything I needed was in my computer so I didn't have to
keep up with any material or purchase any. However, learning online, helps you to focus more with
fewer distractions around you, but leaves you limitless to help when you need it.

Online Learning Environment Analysis
Online courses provide an opportunity to create a highly social learning environment that enables
students and teachers to participate and interact. Learning in a group is an important way to help
students gain experience and share diverse perspectives in critical thinking and deeper
understanding of the learned material. Students in an online learning environment must be
responsible for their own learning. Cultivate the spirit of innovation and releasing students'
creativity are the important goals of education today. Group collaboration as a result, each student's
learning ability, interest in learning, knowledge width is not consistent, therefore in the process of
learning, between students, between teachers and students of mutual inspiration, mutual discussion,

collaborate. In addition, skills acquired from collaborative learning experiences can be transferred to
teamwork environments. The online learning experience will benefit from various fields, such as it
will enable students to read and react critically and clearly, students actively participate in the
knowledge acquisition process, seeking information and exchanging views with their peers. They

Online Learning : Pros And Disadvantages Of Online Education
Education is known to be face to face learning experience. However, with technology at the top of
its game, technology is being incorporated into the classroom. For instance, if a child has a question
or is struggling in a subject area, there are other outlets than just the teacher that can help the student
find the answer or guide them to better understanding when they are struggling. In addition, online
education is also a resourceful outlet that could benefit a child's learning if say he or she no longer
wanted to attend a traditional school, has an illness, or as simple as helping a student make up a
credit he or she needs to graduate. By the same token, education leaders have switched from the
traditional pen to paper method for online testing. Education incorporates technology with online
education, online resources, and online testing.
Online education has many advantages such as being able to move at the student's own pace,
students have the flexibility to choose the classes that interest them, and while other students choose
online learning due to health issues. Everyone learns differently some may understand a certain
subject better than others and can ace right through the lesson. While other students don't understand
the lesson fully and need extra help. Being able to work at your own pace helps the student work on
the lessons they do need that extra help so by the end of that class they are able to walk away with
knowledge instead of frustration and confusion. Most high school students do not get engaged with
their classes mostly due to the lack of interest. However, when a student is allowed a wide variety of
classes, students are more likely to find a class to take that is not given in traditional schools.
Correspondingly, students who have health issues find online learning to be the best fit because they
can create their own pace, take classes that interest them and are able to stay in school even with the
obstacles their illness hives to them. For instance, Richard K. Ladyshewsky says "Online learning
has created significant flexibility for learners looking to further their education whilst balancing
work and life demands" (Ladyshewsky 883). Like Ladyshewsky says 'online learning has created

Online Learning Vs. Traditional Classroom
When a person thinks of someone going to college they probably imagine them walking across a
large campus or sitting in a lecture hall among other students. While this is the way many people do
choose to attend college, there are also those who have chosen to get their degree in an online
setting. Online learning gives people the opportunity to get their education in a way that is more
flexible and can fit in with their daily lives. Though both are reputable forms of higher educations,
there are distinct differences between learning in a tradition classroom and learning in an online
setting.
The most obvious difference in online learning versus traditional classroom learning is the setting.
Traditionally, students would gather in a classroom where they would take notes, listen to lectures,
turn in work, and take exams. Online learning, on the other hand, can take place in multiple
locations at various times. Online college programs, like Bethels, give more flexibility to students
because there are no set times for lectures. Videos of lectures and other important information
relating to the class can be viewed at any time and they can also be viewed as often as needed.
Because these lectures are constantly available, student can view the videos and reading material
multiple times in order to get a better understanding of the class. Books are also commonly
available within the online classroom, giving students even more access (Bethel University, 2014).

of isolation playing a vast role in my study to begin with. I found, during this time that I needed to

facilitate myself to learn as much as conceivable with also feeling connected to the class.
Constructivist theorists believe a child learns best using collaboration with peers to build on their
current knowledge. Vygotsky called this the "Zone of Proximal Development" (ZPD) and he came
to this view by observing children who were tested on tasks individually compared to children who
were tested on tasks in a collaborative way, he found that the progression of engagement helped to
refine the thinking and make the learning more effective (Atherton, n.d.). I believe the same can be
said for adults as well, especially after going from one online university where no group tasks were
initiated to studying here were grouped collaboration was encouraged

Online Learning Advantages And Disadvantages
Technological evolution has obviously made our lives easier and more efficient. With that said, it
only seems fit that we should utilize online learning in our colleges and universities. While it may
seem fit that we adapt our learning style to keep up with the technology available to us. The online
course is a new phenomenon in education that allows students to take courses online, or through a
computer database a school might offer. This manner, students can learn at their own rate, and not
have to physically answer to a professor in a typical classroom situation. This innovation allows
students who may have families, or other obligations, to get degrees from home. However, there is
little supervision that would be imparted to the student, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One main difference is the supreme importance of independent individual responsibility and
organization to the online student. Of course, students in a classroom also need to be organized and
manage their resources well. Students who ignore or misplace their class requirements and materials
and who fail to complete assignments and attend class regularly will have trouble but they can cover
it through online studying. However, online students must take much more independent
responsibility than students in ground classes if they are to achieve the same level of learning.
Online students must manage the given information, which is often extensive and for the most part,
is written. They must keep their materials clearly organized, ideally in separate online folders for
each class and for each assignment. They must access the class calendar and make sure to
understand and meet every posted deadline. They must attend online class by regularly posting
quality contributions to the class's collaborative discussions as well as posting their individual
assignments–quite a contrast to the classes given by teachers, where students attend class but are
often allowed to remain silent during class meetings all semester, although arguably, contributing to
the discussion is just as important class as online. It can be difficult for students to understand
written material (for a variety of reasons, including

Online Learning As A Form Of Education Essay
INTRODUCTION
The last few decades has seen a rapid development in internet and electronic devises industry. At the
same time, online learning, as a form of distance education, "imposes itself strongly and becomes a
core concern of human thought and modern life." (Saleem, 2016, p.53). As an untraditional method
of education, online learning is very different from traditional ones. Those different make the
outcome of online learning hard to be evaluated and examined. However, due to its low cost and
high flexibility, online learning can help people achieve life–learning and may have a profound
influence in the development of intellectual capital. There is a need to determine the effect of online
learning as a form of education to see how it works, and how students learn.
For Chinese students, not until the internet became accessible for most families, they became aware
of this platform. Now, there is an increasing number of Chinese students use it to access to higher
education. This research aims to explore the effects of online learning from the perspective of
learners and help Chinese online learners distinguish the advantages (e.g. stronger intention to learn)
and disadvantages (e.g. culture difference, lack of interaction, language difficulty, courses of low
quality, and lack of supervisor) of this platform, and thereby improve their learning experience.

Online Learning Vs Traditional Learning
Education means imparting knowledge to a person. The development of technologies provides for
more and more ways to learn. But the traditional education and online learning seem to be more
prominent and beneficial. Students may face these four problems when choosing between traditional
learning and its online counterpart: flexible scheduling, participation, social interaction, and self–
motivation. The key component that every student will consider when weighing the options is time
management. Are you willing to attend full–time classes or do you need more flexibility with your
timetable? Generally speaking, for those who intend to work while in school, distance learning will
provide the flexibility to fit into their busy schedule. Especially, this kind of learning works best for
some people already have other commitments like family and work. Online classes and materials
are always available for students whenever they have time to study instead of sticking to the specific
time schedule at school. This makes distance–learning method more attentive to students. In
contrast, the traditional way of learning is more suitable for students who are able to attend lectures
at school. Students will have to plan their time after school wisely to do projects, home–works and
so on. Additionally, a long–time travel can be one of the big obstacles makes scheduling more
difficult. When facing the options choosing between two ways of learning, participation is always
be considered. Both of these two methods assess student participation. Online classes participation
is mandatory and will be count by written type. Usually, online courses follow a weekly learning
format. Students are required to log in, read course materials, contribute to a discussion board and
complete assignments before due dates. However, discussing online will be a chance to hear a wide
range of perspective from every student, which can be undone in traditional classes. Moreover, the
voluntarily participate in lectures makes some people who are shy or unwilling to talk will not have
a chance to speak their minds. The other next big thing when weighing the learning options is social
interaction you are hoping to have with your colleagues and professors. Do

Disadvantages Of Online Learning
Online learning has become more popular in our education system in the past few years. Just take a
look at yourself, we have all preferred taking this English class online over the traditional way of
sitting in the classroom. Online learning has many advantages over the traditional way, yet there
many students who would argue that we learn more by physically sitting in the class and interacting
with each other. In my opinion, each student is different, and they each need to choose their classes
according to their conditions. For the sake of the argument we can compare a student who works
full time, she is married with three kids, yet she decides to pursue her higher education. On the other
hand, we have young student, fresh out of high school, with plenty of time to spare! In the first
example, the student would benefit from saving time by taking online classes.
On the other hand, some people argue that face–to–face learning would benefit the learner because
of the interactions. According to the studies, the chance of getting an answer for your question is
higher in the classroom, compared to the online class. In a classroom, not only you can interact with

Online Learning Vs Traditional Learning Essay
There are two types of learning systems most commonly used in the world, Online learning and
Traditional classroom teaching. Online learning is basically a system which involves electronic
media and information. In simple it is getting training and communication research through
electronic media. It would not be wrong to call online learning, the 'future of education'. Online
learning does have some weak points, but the solutions that have been provided are more than
enough to cover up the cons. Online learning system is not perfect, it has some deficiencies, but it's
definitely the system of the future. Many people still prefer traditional universities as the best way to
get knowledge and a degree but online education is also a good proven alternative. Through online
education students can study in the environment they find comfortable and the time they are free.
All of this is for free as most online course which universities offer don't have any fee or if some

the reason which gives online education an edge over traditional classroom learning. By using

20.2 million; that is how many students in the nation are currently enrolled in college ("Fast Facts").
Of the 20 million, 5.8 million are enrolled in at least one online class ("Report"). With that said, one
can conclude that face to face learning at a university is the popular choice among students in the
United States. It is the most familiar way of learning, and for most students it is the best choice in
order for them to succeed. The rate of students choosing to learn online is on the rise though. Many
view it as the better choice of the two options because it is convenient and costs less. However, if
one were to look deeper into the topic they would find that face to face learning has more immediate
and future benefits than online learning, and is worth the extra money and time in the long run
because of how many more opportunities are presented. One of the most prominent reasons why
face to face learning is so important is social interaction and the impacts learning has on it. Social
abilities still continue to develop in college, and if a person is participating in online schooling, there
are less opportunities and situations where it can be worked on. This lack of development can affect
a person both in current situations and in the future. In school, students must give presentations,

It is a interactive learning, through practical challenges and hands–on experience, developing their

They acquire information fastest when participating in a science lab, drama presentation, skit, field

computer knowledge and what the computer is able to do. Kinesthetic learning can be learnt by all

Is Online Learning As Good
Is Online Learning as Good as Face–to–Face Learning? Technological advancement has brought up
new ways of doing things. Traditionally, the manufacturing industry had to employ hundreds of
workers to ensure that work was done in the right manner. They had to lift heavy machinery or use
forklifts to ensure the heavy machineries were fixed in the correct place. Technological
advancement brought about the principle of robotics. Companies are happy in the modern times to
use robotics in manufacturing, thus eliminating the need for many workers and professionals. Once
the robot has been computerized or programmed, it is able to perform all machinery work with
minimal or no supervision and still produces the same results compared to human factor that
produces varying results with the same input. Likewise, education has taken advantage of
technological advancement; not only are books being bought and rented, they are read online.
Online learning is a modern time invention that was necessitated by the need from the many people
who finance education for their own benefit, the working class, the international students and the
marginalized class. With online education, one is able to learn more conveniently and undertake
other responsibilities with ease (Coates et al 4–7). One does not have to hurry to attend classes since
online classes can be conducted from the convenience of home or any other location. Face–to–face
learning allows the instructor to get individual attention from

The Learning Needs Of An Online Learner
Effectively Meeting the Learning Needs of an Online Learner
It is well documented that there are many factors for faculty to consider when developing a course
of study. A few issues are, socio–economical background, varying ages of students, cultural
variances, educational experience, student preparedness, and preferred learning strategies
(Prithishkumar & Michael, 2014). The learning process results from instructional activity a student
receives within an educational setting and, there are also many influences that play a role in the
progression of learning (Li, Yu, Liu, Shieh, & Yang, 2014). Some of these dynamics include, the
student's interest in the topic, motivation, individual principles, participation, affective domain of
the student, and preferred learning style (Prithishkumar & Michael, 2014).
According to Li et al., 2014, "learners have their preferred ways of perceiving, organizing and
retaining information that are distinct and consistent. Consequently, individuals favor particular
methods of interacting with, taking in, and processing stimuli and information when they learn"
(p.230). There are a number of methods to determine an individual's preferred learning style. Some
of the tools available are, The Productivity Environmental Preference Survey (PEPS), the Visual,
Aural, Read/write, and Kinesthetic inventory (VARK) model, the Index of Learning Styles (ILS),
and the Learning Style Inventory are among the many other online assessments an individual could

Online Learning Vs Traditional Learning
Learning is an endless process, it is never too late to pursue more knowledge. Education has always
been a controversial topic around the world because it can be applied to people in different age
groups. As human's achievement in technology has greatly improved, the access to education
becomes much easier as well. Many people believed that the traditional style of education, which is
a face–to–face learning, can provide the most beneficial result in terms of learning. Students
attending school regularly based on an organized schedule can greatly avoid the laziness in learning
and enhance the activeness in school life. However, some argue that learning online can achieve
even better grades than a face–to–face learning while having an easier time arrangement. Moreover,
as the increasing frequency of hearing the term online education, we, the learner, are being aware of
an obvious growing trend of online learning. For many college students, they have very different
perspectives toward online learning and traditional learning. It is very important for college
students, who are one step into adulthood, and learners to discover the most effective style of
education that will be most beneficial in different courses. In this essay, I want to discover whether
online learning should replace traditional learning or not. According to The Impact of E–Learning in
Medical Education by Jorge G. Ruiz MD et al, online education is basically learning through the
internet. He also mentioned

Online Learning : Online Learners And Evaluating Their...
Introduction: Online learning, as a newly emerged platform to access to higher education, has
become prevalent in China in the past years. Some scholars think highly of this form of education
and believe that it will finally lead to a revolution of education. However, due to its short history of
development, online learning platforms are not as mature as traditional universities and its learning
outcomes are hard to be measured and examined. Those platforms are like a hotchpotch which
consists of a variety of courses from educational institutions from all over the world. For online
learners, they have to learn in a different way than they learned in universities because online
courses are managed in different ways, and for Chinese learners, they may also have to overcome
the language problem and culture issues, because the idea of online learning was introduced from
western world and many online courses are instructed in English. This Research focuses on the
factors that are related to the success of Chinese online learners and evaluating their learning
characteristics from the perspective of the adult learning theory. By doing an online survey, the
researcher collected 100 valid samples, for each one 20 variables are included. Through statistical
analysis, the researcher reveals that some learning characteristics are significantly related to a better
learning outcome. The result may be helpful for Chinese online learner to improve their manners of

Online Learning Vs. Traditional Classroom
Education is a major attribute to have in this new generation of technology. Education can also
broaden your horizons in the job market, getting the best education is important whether it is online
learning or in a traditional classroom. The key is finding the one that will be most efficient for your
learning.
I would say online learning is more hard because I think there is a lot of unnecessary 1busy work
assigned in my personal opinion than a classroom setting. Online learning has advantages as well
such as being in the convenience of one's own home and having the flexibility to an individual to
watch the class lectures on their own schedule.
On the other hand, the traditional classroom setting is what people have been custom to until online
learning was designed. Being in the classroom has its advantages as well for example one has the
ability to engage and get immediate feedback from the educator and socialize with the other
classmates in a traditional classroom setting. Secondly, the hands on training rather than computer
training can be a plus for hands on learners.
All and all, with online learning having great flexibility and the traditional classroom having
immediate interaction with the professor and students, which ever one an individual chooses to learn
each one has their perks to get the best education for future enhancement. I personally chose online
because of my busy schedule and I think it was the best decision to make to further my education.

Online Learning Vs. Traditional Learning
The topic I have chosen to focus on for my final project is Online Learning vs Traditional Learning
Nowadays, education becomes one of the important things in human life. Most people are aware of
the necessity of a higher education. In this present day with the technology there are more options to
obtain education. Besides attending traditional schools, people can get an online education.
Although there is a similarity between online education and traditional education, the differences
between them are more noteworthy. To summarize, the topic presented in this article is about online
courses which are widely used in colleges providing easy access to course materials, classroom
discussions, and feedback to instructors. The course materials and activities may be accessed from
any computer, whether it is from the University or from the comfort of your own home. The premise
or premises for the argument is/are teaching students 30 at a time is expensive and becoming
relatively more expensive. The productivity of teaching, measured in, say, kilobytes transmitted
from teacher to student per unit of time, hasn't increased much. Thus, the opportunity cost of
teaching has increased, an example of what's known as Baumol's cost disease. Teaching has
remained economic only because the value of each kilobyte transmitted has increased due to
discoveries in (some) other fields. Online education, however, dramatically increases the
productivity of teaching This topic is relevant and being

What is E–learning?
E–learning is also called as electronic learning, & in other words we can also say that "learning

If the company wishes to serve the same type of learning e–learning can make that type of learning
possible.
Disadvantages of e–learning: Lacking in control:
The learners who are less motivated can tend to fall behind when they have to use e–learning
because there are no set times for this & also sometimes in spite of this they already have
organisational responsibilities.
The learning approach: The e–learning does not apply to every and all types of learning styles. So
few learners wont be able to enjoy the experience especially those who are pragmatists & activists.
It is obvious that different people will have different styles of learning so it can be proved as a great
challenge.
The isolation factor: The frequency of questions can be easily answered when a person is in front of
you and the other can expect instant answer. E–learnings sometimes restricts from answering
questions from trainers at the same point of time when an answer is asked. The feeling of isolation
might demotivate the learners as they will lack support.

Traditional Vs. Online Learning
Among schools with 12th–grade students during the 2010–11 school year, the average percentage of
12th–grade students who graduated with a high school diploma was 89 percent for traditional public
schools, 91 percent for public charter schools, and 92 percent for private schools (Institute of
Educational Sciences). Traditional on campus classes are those in which a student earns a diploma
or a degree in a classroom environment taught by a professor. Students are provided with high
amounts of social interaction with students and faculty to prepare them for careers outside of the
classroom. From the time children are enrolled in kindergarten up to graduation, the familiarity of a
classroom atmosphere sets up structural support to help them through their studies as well as
provide students a sense of societal discipline. Traditional on campus classes are more beneficial to
a student's education than online courses.
Traditional classes provide unmatched face–to–face interaction with professors and classmates. In
her article, "Traditional vs online learning: which is right for you", Janelle Pagnucco, a
communications engineer at ECO Canada explains, "A classroom environment allows for instant
expression of opinions and thoughts through face–to–face interaction with classmates and the
instructor. These conversations help reassure students whether or not they are headed in the right
direction and help keep the learning process moving" (Pagnucco). Pagnucco is claiming students

Online Learning vs. Traditional Classroom Learning
In the past, most college students were limited in their options regarding how they obtain their
education. However, now a day's students have various options. Students are able to choose whether
they want to complete their education through online learning, rather than in a traditional classroom.
As, a student is making that choice it is critical that they choose the best learning environment that
allows them to meets their individual needs. When students are selecting the best learning
environment there are various consideration that should be made before a decision is made.
Education ourselves about the benefits and disadvantages allows us to narrow our selection between
online learning and traditional classroom learning. Regardless of the choice in education type we
make in order to succeed we need to be focused, dedicated, and motivated.
There are others who argued that Traditional classes can be crowded; students multiple learning
approaches are not met, and there is the "one size fits all" approach that attempts to force students to
learn in the same way. On the other hand, online teaching offers students various benefits such as;
schedule flexible, ease of accessibility, range of options, and control over study time. It allows
students the opportunity to learn from the comfort of their own home and at their convenience. As,
for me due to my busy work schedule I have a challenging time taking courses in a traditional

Traditional Learning: The Benefits Of Online Learning
The demand of learning is growing larger and larger because of the development of the economic.
With the enlarging needs of learning, online learning appears to give not only students but also
teachers a chance to perform better in learning. Online learning provides more free time and space
to both two parties while traditional learning strictly demands both parties participate in the same
time and at the same place. What's more, online learning may enhance the students' comprehensive
ability, especially in critical thinking which is a very essential capacity to success but the traditional
learning cannot build. Finally, online learning can build more confidence for students and will make
it easier to get promoted in the following lives. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Online learning is available not only on computers but also on many kinds of mobile electronic
products. Students can search for the course through their mobile phone and learn it whenever they
want to. Traditional learning takes both teachers and students a large amount of time to stay together
to just deliver some basic theories. In other words, students can place more time to comprehend the
theories or they can get other relevant course to comprehend the knowledge more comprehensive.
Last but not least, online learning students can also get through the content over and over again as
they missed during the lecture. (Hassan) Traditional learning are based on professors' lectures,
students have to catch up with the professor otherwise they may miss the knowledge because they
even do not know which part of knowledge they have missed so their professor can't answer their
questions. But online learning are records of the professors' lecture, students can pause and review
to where they have missed the knowledge and they can easily build up their knowledge structures.

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Online Learning
1.0 Introduction Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has infused into education field
since the past few years and brought new shifts to teaching and learning process by introducing a
new concept known as 'e–learning'. Over the past decades, the world of education has been
improved from day to day by the fast and rapid revolution of ICT which eventually raises the
demands for online learning or e–learning. E–learning is well defined as a learning process that fully
utilises electronic technologies to access educational curriculum outside of the classroom and it is
well known for distance learning. This kind of learning allows learners to continuously learning
outside of the traditional classroom with their own control, pace and time. In simpler explanation, e–
learning is a course or program that is delivered online. According to Wang (2010), online learning
or e–learning has been widely used in higher education, and a large amount of studies have been
conducted to explore both of its strengths and weaknesses. However, literature ... Show more

The ultimate goal of blended learning is to compensate the drawbacks of pure online learning or
instruction. According to Azizan (2010), it is highly recommended for educators to implement
blended learning in their teaching practices as it is better to mix the strengths of both e–learning and
traditional learning in order to optimise the benefits gained by the students. In regard of that belief,
the popularity of blended learning has rapidly risen because most instructors have strong beliefs that
mixed or varied delivery methods will boost students' satisfaction and their learning outcomes (Lim
& Morris, 2009). Therefore, the implementation of ICT into teaching and learning activities also
have caught the attention and interest of practitioners in the higher education institution of many
developed and developing countries including

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Online Learning
The rise of technological advancements during the past century has introduced e–learning to the
extent that virtual learning has now become a trend. In fact, a common dilemma that new high
school graduates might go through is whether to physically attend university or to just take online
classes. It is an essential question to think about as both options have their advantages and
disadvantages. In such cases, students might tend to choose taking online courses rather than being
physically present in a university, since these online classes are more convenient in some situations.
However, convenience does not always mean good quality and traditional education is still more
effective than virtual education in terms of discipline, social interaction, ... Show more content on

Bajerano (2008) emphasizes that interacting with other students and faculty in a regular context
influences the students' success and experience. Students who take online classes will miss out on
this interaction since the only way to communicate with the instructor will be via video and internet.
Consequently, they will not have the opportunity of seeing professors during their office hours and
ask about possible doubts that they could have (Bjerano, 2008). This may lead to an incomplete
understanding of the material. Another drawback of online classes is the inability of students to ask
the professor direct questions and not have the opportunity to work through any difficulties by
discussing learning concepts using the classroom board, for example. As a result, students would
probably rely on themselves to find the answers to such questions. Additionally, online learners
would not be able to avail of the on–campus learning centers in which students can discuss their
doubts; therefore, the students' understanding of the subject is reinforced (Bajerano, 2008).
Similarly, online learners would not be able to benefit from interacting with other peers because the
element of group work, which helps students keep up their learning motivation and gain assistance
while studying, would be

Pros And Cons Of Online Learning
Online Classes vs. Traditional Learning As human beings, it is in their nature to choose what is
more convenient and comfortable for them, most of the time, and as technology continues to
revolutionize the world as a whole, the education field couldn't be left out. Thanks to technology, in
the past years the e–education has changed the way students choose to be educated; online
education has proven to be one of the biggest booms in higher education. Regardless of this e–
revolution, traditional or in class continues to be important in the field. In the following paragraphs,
it will compare and discuss advantages and disadvantages of online and in classroom learning, pros
and cons such as costs, student independency, and success of the student in both classroom settings.
First of all, taking an online class can save a student a lot of money; students who take online
classes save money on commuting, weather they spend money on public transportation or gas.
Housing expenses, dorming can sometimes be considered a luxury for some students, since the
average amount to be paid for dorming in a state university is of 10k to 14k; they also save a lot of
time since they avoid the struggle of taking busses or driving from their homes or jobs to get to their
classes on time. According to the article Online vs. Traditional Learning, published by the
University of Potomac "The total average cost of a traditional degree is USD $85,000 as opposed to
online degrees which can cost an

Online And On Campus Learning
We are all looking for things in our lives to be convenient. Technology today has made that more
possible than ever. We have almost everything we need right at our fingertips. I personally use
online banking so I rarely have to step foot into a bank. I love online shopping, I can order anything
that I want and have it delivered to my front door. I can even have my groceries shipped to me if I
wanted to. So it's no surprise that online learning has become so popular today. I utilize both, online
and on–campus learning, as well as a combination of both. I have found that the convenience of
having at least part of my classes online, where I can access them anytime I want, from anywhere,
without mandating what time and how long I spend learning the material, fits perfectly into my busy
schedule. But is it as good as the face to face learning that one receives in a classroom setting with
other students engaging in conversations about a topic? Online learning allows for more flexibility
for students to attend classes at their convenience and accommodates those who find it hard to
attend a class on a campus. Online education is quickly becoming a popular option, though it takes a
particular type of well disciplined student to be successful in an online environment. Because online
courses have most, if not all, of their content delivered over the internet, the student, peer, and
teacher interactions are done primarily over some form of written correspondence. Your

Online Learning Is Good Or Traditional Learning?
The use of technology in the 21st century has been spreading very fast, and it is very helpful in our
busy lives. We do many things like banking, shopping, and communication using technology in our
daily lives. And, the next big thing, which has been growing very fast, is online learning. It is very
easy to take online classes via internet. People taking online classes do not go to a college campus,
so they do everything from home using technology. Some people think that online learning is not
good because it has many drawbacks. For example, online learning involves cheating and lack of
class interaction, so they do not want to see it in their education system. On the other hand, other
people think that it is very helpful and offers new learning opportunities. However, everyone has a
different opinion about online learning, and it depends on how they see it. Online learning is as good
as traditional learning because it is very flexible, convenient, and saves money. The second reason is
that online learning is very convenient. It helps students to learn at their own pace. Some student
learns quickly and easily, but others take time to understand things completely. Taking online classes
helps them to review the chapter material over and over again, which is stored online until the end
of the semester. For example, if a student did not understand some concepts of the chapter, he or she
can go back to that saved material and work on that again. Also, online learning helps

Introduction:
In an online eLearning environment, learning contents are provided in a variety of formats including

contents are mixed to suit the learners need. There are number of online learning sites available that
provides learning contents to variety of purposes including educational content and skill
improvement learning contents. Various intelligent tutoring systems are available that addresses the
need of personalization. Most of these systems are built around Felder and Silverman Learning

Online Learning The Ruin Of Education Analysis
Online Education: Are You Really Learning? Taking online education classes is supposed to be the
new cheaper way of learning, but are you actually learning? With online schooling kids are not
getting as much social interaction as they would in a normal classroom setting. They simply can not
just raise their hand to ask their teacher a question, they have to email the teacher or look it up on
the internet. In Alexander Spring's essay "Online Learning: The Ruin of Education," he explains
how "teachers" are now PCs or Macs and how these online computer classes are ruining the
education process for this generation of kids and future generations. I agree with Spring's opinion
that the online learning is ruining the kids education and needs to

The Effectiveness Of Online Language Learning The Effectiveness of Online Language Learning: One Student 's Personal Perspective The traditional classroom is quickly becoming obsolete as teachers struggle to keep up with the competition of technology. Educators are expected to bring and use innovative ideas to the classroom so that students are more engaged and prepared to succeed in the 21st century. With the advancement of technology, rural school districts can easily access subjects and courses that are not readily available at their districts due to lack of adequate funds to hire a full time teacher and then in turn offer these classes to their students for graduation requirements. To acquire a second language, the learner should take an active approach when speaking the language causing the learning process to become less difficult with assistance from people who already know the language (79). In language acquisition, it is imperative that the learner be exposed not only to auditory examples of the language but also visual examples. Providing ample interaction with native speakers of the language to be acquired ensures correct syntactic and semantic use of the language. "Language learning must always be regarded as a social process. That is, individuals learn both content and language as they engage with others in a variety of settings to accomplish specific purposes" (73). However, because of technology, the classroom is quickly changing to meet the demands of the students. It is moving "from teacher–centered approaches towards a personalized, small–group oriented, multi–dimensional model of teaching" (Sun 18). Because of this, the "roles and relationships of teachers and students have undergone changes compared to those in traditional face–to–face settings" (19). So what does this new classroom look like? What we once knew and have learned by using school books, is now being taught strictly electronic communication. Although the online environment learning can be utilized to enhance classroom lessons, doesn 't mean it should come a main source of teaching. Schools around the nation has remove the use of textbooks and worksheet from the classroom it is a known fact that all learners don 't comprehend through the same techniques and or methods. Some students need the traditional method or individual attention. Issues learning through Web–based, Distance and Blended learning can be good or bad, but even worse becoming a primary tool in classroom. • 6. Difference Between Classroom Learning And Online Learning Bishnu Khatiwada Classroom learning vs online learning Development in the education sector has given people many choices of learning to meet their educational goals. The current and popular systems of learning are classroom learning and online learning. I used to think all ways of learning are the same, until I had taken a couple of classes and had to overcome some challenges classroom learning and online learning are different in terms of support network, quality of peer interaction, decision – making, and success Having a support network is a useful tool for achieving success. Many students cannot succeed in learning because they face challenges of finding the right resources that are available to them. There are many resources available on campus and they are organized in such a way that they are easy to access like campus tutoring centers for different subjects, reading club, on–campus library, and different student organizations that are available to assist them. For example, whenever students have trouble understanding any course material, they have an opportunity go to the tutoring center and seek help. However, it is very hard to get those resources available to leaners who take online courses. Whenever students have trouble understanding the assignment, they need to rely on email conversations to solve the problem and don't know when their teacher is going to get back to them. It can be very frustrating. One of my friends shared his experience taking an online course for math, and it was very difficult to understand the course materials with tutorials video. He told me about his experience stocking in the middle of the assignment was approaching was huge problem to overcome and maintain grade. Quality peer interaction is important for all human beings, cannot imagine life without any interaction. • 7. Questions On Online Learning Styles When it comes to learning styles, what exactly comes to mind? Would it be hands on, auditory, or tactile learning? Those are all similar styles that can be park of online learning or most of all the traditional style of learning. So what would you choose? There are many similarities when it comes to traditional and online learning but it's important to know there are just as many differences between the two. When it comes to the two learning styles there are always the different distractions, learning methods, and always the occasional getting in the way of work. Let's start with talking about online learning. There are about 6.1 Million people enrolled in online courses according to an article written by Steven Kolowich. (I was one of them my first semester.) Why take an online course you ask? Well sometimes you don't have enough time out of the day to be able to drive up to the college and sit in a classroom for hours at a time. With taking online courses it gives you more time but it does cause a lot of distractions. You're going to be doing a lot of your work at home. This means whatever you have going on around your house is a given distraction. Whether it's a TV playing in the background, a dog that won't sit still, or of course the route–y toddler you have playing with blocks as you type this essay! There's also different learning methods you will experience while taking online courses. Almost all of the work will be in front of your computer screen, (unless you're ... • 8. The Importance Of Interactivity In Online Learning Interactivity in our lives is very important especially in the learning process between learners and instructors and the learning content. Interaction can be used in different teaching environments like formal and informal education. The learner can interact with the teacher in order to get some knowledge. (Bernard et al., 2009; Ke, 2013) As a student, the interaction is really the crucial element for their fundamental knowledge and emotional development in traditional teaching methods. (Song and McNary (2011)). Interactivity can be used in both entertainment and education, in particular online learning. Due to the rapid expansion and progress of Technology and the Internet, online learning became very popular in higher education. (Ke & Kwak, 2013; Wei &Chou, 2014). It can enable learners and instructors to detour the daily or weekly regular teaching methods and instead get their knowledge online. Online Learning can also enable learners to get knowledge and skills over a variety of different learning applications without having limits on time and space. (Allen & Seaman, 2013; Kaymak & Horzum , 2013). As a result, interaction is one of the most important factor for a successful learning experience. (Cho & Kim, 2013; Garner & Bol, 2011; Kang & Im, 2013; Richardson & Swan, 2003; Watson, 2013). • 9. Learning Online And Traditional Classroom Setting During my educational journey I have experienced learning online and in a traditional classroom setting. Working in a classroom allowed me to receive a more hands on approach with my learning from my instructor. Learning in person helped me to seek help if I was confused, ask questions, and receive a response immediately. Upon completing my work assignments, I was able to work side by side with my classmates and collaborate, and work as a team. Most importantly, everything is at your fingertips such as your class material and a physical textbook. In addition, in a classroom setting you are able to take quizzes and tests that will help you retain the information by answering the questions. However, learning online is totally a different ball game. When learning online most of the time there is no test or quizzes involved, you work at your own pace, and the only material you will need is your computer. Working at your own pace helps because, it allows you to work ahead and complete your assignments according to your own schedule and not having to wait on your instructor. A great advantage to learning online is, not having to travel to a physical classroom. Your work is available at any time of the day. Everything I needed was in my computer so I didn't have to keep up with any material or purchase any. However, learning online, helps you to focus more with fewer distractions around you, but leaves you limitless to help when you need it. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Online Learning : Pros And Disadvantages Of Online Education Education is known to be face to face learning experience. However, with technology at the top of its game, technology is being incorporated into the classroom. For instance, if a child has a question or is struggling in a subject area, there are other outlets than just the teacher that can help the student find the answer or guide them to better understanding when they are struggling. In addition, online education is also a resourceful outlet that could benefit a child's learning if say he or she no longer wanted to attend a traditional school, has an illness, or as simple as helping a student make up a credit he or she needs to graduate. By the same token, education leaders have switched from the traditional pen to paper method for online testing. Education incorporates technology with online education, online resources, and online testing. Online education has many advantages such as being able to move at the student's own pace, students have the flexibility to choose the classes that interest them, and while other students choose online learning due to health issues. Everyone learns differently some may understand a certain subject better than others and can ace right through the lesson. While other students don't understand the lesson fully and need extra help. Being able to work at your own pace helps the student work on the lessons they do need that extra help so by the end of that class they are able to walk away with knowledge instead of frustration and confusion. Most high school students do not get engaged with their classes mostly due to the lack of interest. However, when a student is allowed a wide variety of classes, students are more likely to find a class to take that is not given in traditional schools. Correspondingly, students who have health issues find online learning to be the best fit because they can create their own pace, take classes that interest them and are able to stay in school even with the obstacles their illness hives to them. For instance, Richard K. Ladyshewsky says "Online learning has created significant flexibility for learners looking to further their education whilst balancing work and life demands" (Ladyshewsky 883). • 12. Online Learning Vs. Traditional Classroom When a person thinks of someone going to college they probably imagine them walking across a large campus or sitting in a lecture hall among other students. While this is the way many people do choose to attend college, there are also those who have chosen to get their degree in an online setting. Online learning gives people the opportunity to get their education in a way that is more flexible and can fit in with their daily lives. Though both are reputable forms of higher educations, there are distinct differences between learning in a tradition classroom and learning in an online setting. The most obvious difference in online learning versus traditional classroom learning is the setting. Traditionally, students would gather in a classroom where they would take notes, listen to lectures, turn in work, and take exams. Online learning, on the other hand, can take place in multiple locations at various times. Online college programs, like Bethels, give more flexibility to students because there are no set times for lectures. Videos of lectures and other important information relating to the class can be viewed at any time and they can also be viewed as often as needed. Because these lectures are constantly available, student can view the videos and reading material multiple times in order to get a better understanding of the class. Books are also commonly available within the online classroom, giving students even more access (Bethel University, 2014). Online learning is a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Learning about how to obtain credible resources has been invaluable to my advancement so far. Constructivist theorists believe a child learns best using collaboration with peers to build on their current knowledge. Vygotsky called this the "Zone of Proximal Development" (ZPD) and he came to this view by observing children who were tested on tasks individually compared to children who were tested on tasks in a collaborative way, he found that the progression of engagement helped to refine the thinking and make the learning more effective (Atherton, n.d.). • 14. Online Learning Advantages And Disadvantages Technological evolution has obviously made our lives easier and more efficient. With that said, it only seems fit that we should utilize online learning in our colleges and universities. While it may seem fit that we adapt our learning style to keep up with the technology available to us. The online course is a new phenomenon in education that allows students to take courses online, or through a computer database a school might offer. This manner, students can learn at their own rate, and not have to physically answer to a professor in a typical classroom situation. This innovation allows students who may have families, or other obligations, to get degrees from home. However, there is little supervision that would be imparted to the student, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One main difference is the supreme importance of independent individual responsibility and organization to the online student. Of course, students in a classroom also need to be organized and manage their resources well. Students who ignore or misplace their class requirements and materials and who fail to complete assignments and attend class regularly will have trouble but they can cover it through online studying. However, online students must take much more independent responsibility than students in ground classes if they are to achieve the same level of learning. Online students must manage the given information, which is often extensive and for the most part, is written. They must keep their materials clearly organized, ideally in separate online folders for each class and for each assignment. They must access the class calendar and make sure to understand and meet every posted deadline. They must attend online class by regularly posting quality contributions to the class's collaborative discussions as well as posting their individual assignments–quite a contrast to the classes given by teachers, where students attend class but are often allowed to remain silent during class meetings all semester, although arguably, contributing to the discussion is just as important class as online. • 15. Online Learning As A Form Of Education Essay INTRODUCTION The last few decades has seen a rapid development in internet and electronic devises industry. At the same time, online learning, as a form of distance education, "imposes itself strongly and becomes a core concern of human thought and modern life." (Saleem, 2016, p.53). As an untraditional method of education, online learning is very different from traditional ones. Those different make the outcome of online learning hard to be evaluated and examined. However, due to its low cost and high flexibility, online learning can help people achieve life–learning and may have a profound influence in the development of intellectual capital. There is a need to determine the effect of online learning as a form of education to see how it works, and how students learn. For Chinese students, not until the internet became accessible for most families, they became aware of this platform. Now, there is an increasing number of Chinese students use it to access to higher education. This research aims to explore the effects of online learning from the perspective of learners and help Chinese online learners distinguish the advantages (e.g. stronger intention to learn) and disadvantages (e.g. culture difference, lack of interaction, language difficulty, courses of low quality, and lack of supervisor) of this platform, and thereby improve their learning experience. Theoretical Framework Scholars used to think that there are four several stages of cognitive development. According ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. Online Learning Vs Traditional Learning Education means imparting knowledge to a person. The development of technologies provides for more and more ways to learn. But the traditional education and online learning seem to be more prominent and beneficial. Students may face these four problems when choosing between traditional learning and its online counterpart: flexible scheduling, participation, social interaction, and self– motivation. The key component that every student will consider when weighing the options is time management. Are you willing to attend full–time classes or do you need more flexibility with your timetable? Generally speaking, for those who intend to work while in school, distance learning will provide the flexibility to fit into their busy schedule. Especially, this kind of learning works best for some people already have other commitments like family and work. Online classes and materials are always available for students whenever they have time to study instead of sticking to the specific time schedule at school. This makes distance–learning method more attentive to students. In contrast, the traditional way of learning is more suitable for students who are able to attend lectures at school. Students will have to plan their time after school wisely to do projects, home–works and so on. Additionally, a long–time travel can be one of the big obstacles makes scheduling more difficult. When facing the options choosing between two ways of learning, participation is always be considered. Both of these two methods assess student participation. Online classes participation is mandatory and will be count by written type. Usually, online courses follow a weekly learning format. Students are required to log in, read course materials, contribute to a discussion board and complete assignments before due dates. However, discussing online will be a chance to hear a wide range of perspective from every student, which can be undone in traditional classes. Moreover, the voluntarily participate in lectures makes some people who are shy or unwilling to talk will not have a chance to speak their minds.
