• Education has not only helped me grow professionally but also assist me in
networking with other peers in this amazing business. I have been able to keep
contact with people who are now in very senior leadership levels.
• What I learned in my life has always been shared with others allowing me to grow
people and assist them with their career progression. This is, in my opinion, the
primary objective as a leader.
Cost Saving
What have you done that has resulted i cost savings for your current / last employer?What
were the circumstances?How did you results compared to others?
Your Perspective:
In my opinion a close monitor of expenses is very important to ensure profitability.
Purchase must be scrutinized continuously in order to ensure fair and competitive
pricing, disrupt potential frauds and ensure best purchases at the best value/money.
I am very detailed when it comes to this part of running the business and I work very
closely with the Financial department to ensure everyone is aligned.
Performance Evidence:
• Review of costs in details and issue of mid month P&L to all HODs to have a
better control before the end of the month and bringing in line with budgets
• Scrutiny of Purchase orders daily. Minimizing overspending and wastage in
daily and weekly store purchase
• Review of suppliers and market price analysis twice a year. Identifying best
products at best price
• Reviewed the limousine service from self managed to outsourced. Total saving
of over 150.000 USD a year
4. Revenue Generation
What have you done that has resulted in revenue generation for your current / last employer?
What was the percentage or dollar contribution? Did you have a unique approach or
different results from others?
Your Perspective:
Revenue generation is not just the job of the sales team. Each senior member of the
management has the responsibility to bring business to the unit. In this concern I
have given each HOD a target of local or foreign business to help the hotel reach its
goal. Another way of increasing revenue is to ensure that top sellers are recognized.
As such an incentive program has been established for F&B and Rooms bringing in
2015 alone over 280.000 USD of additional revenue .
Performance Evidence:
• Built a solid reputations with Travel agents and Tour operators in order to
improve credibility and increase bookings (+20% 2015 over 2014)
• Provided a personal guest list of HNI and book them at the resort (over
200.000 USD over two years)
• Implemented an upselling program with room division that generated over
100.000 USD in one year and weekly F&B activities in each restaurant that
generated over 180.000 USD in one year

taken. Possibly with some new key people (HODs/EXCOM) to stir the necessary
changes needed.

term (2-3 years) and long term goals (5+ years)

»In a mature level of performance ready for further changes (expanding the business
to more rooms, upgrade star rating to next category if required, construction of new
