How did you attract and address your
audience?

2.  Genre conventions- In our opening sequence we stuck to many
genre conventions in order to show how it was part of the thriller
genre. We used conventions such as dark lighting to create a
sense of suspension and mystery. This was clearly evident in the
final scene of our opening sequence involving the door and the
dark corridor. We used lighting to make it seem more mysterious
and ominous.
 Use of music- In our opening sequence we used music
throughout to create a feel of safety when she was with her
friends and then we used more tense music which built up to the
climax of the opening. This is a convention of many thriller movies
and this is one reason why we included it.
 Similarities with other movies – We used many convention which
are similar to those used in other thriller movies. We do however
think that our movie does have a unique selling point. This selling
point is the story which has not been used by any other movie.
