A Critique of the Proposed National Education Policy Reform
My response to the blue eye
1. My response to the Blue Eye, Green Eye video is somewhat a mix of feelings. I can see the point
of the exercise and what the purpose of it is, but I feel that it is slightly unfair. The white
students that participated in the exercise really had no connection with the point the women
was trying to convey. Just because their skin color, they were targeted. Those students never
had a hand in racism, and exposing them to the hardships that those black students had never
experienced either was pointless. Racism keeps going on because people keep it going. It is
brought into the spotlight way too much. It is magnified in every controversial issue in the
world today as type of scapegoat; an issue to dump the blame on. The real problem is the
continuation of racism being such an important issue when it is quite the opposite. The world is
a tough place and people are going to do things and say things that others will not approve of,
that’s the way it works. People need to mature their thought process and toughen their skin,
because life is full of things always trying to bring a person down and will do so for the rest of
eternity.
