The Hult Prize is an entrepreneurship challenge that aims to turn ideas into impact. In the past ten years, the Hult Prize has grown
into a benchmark competition that enables any college or university student in the world to tackle the most pressing issues facing
billions of people. We created the Hult Prize to launch a new era of entrepreneurs, those who would build for-good, for-profit start-ups
to meet the ever important demands of 21st century development.
As we look back on our second year in Vietnam to host Southeast Asia Regional, we’re happy to share that the participation rate of
both universities and individuals has doubled, with more than 30 campuses now included in our ecosystem. Youths from across
Vietnam ans Southeast Asia have been making their startup ideas come true with the intention of changing the world into a better
place. We believe that the power of a community originates from individuals who wish to make impact on society. And Hult Prize
SEA is the place where these individuals are connected and it will become 1 of the largest Community of Impact in the region.

2020 marks a year of uncertainty that has affected our community in ways that will be forever remembered in the history of the world. Through
the impact of Covid-19 and various other changes that have fundamentally altered the ways in which we conduct our day to day lives; the Social
Impact Foundation has continued to adapt to these changes to ultimately position ourselves to build long lasting opportunities for our students,
stakeholders, partners, judges, regional council members, and the community as a whole.
First, I want to personally thank you all for being a part of this journey. It is your constant support that this was the first year in the history of the
Hult Prize Southeast Asia Regional that we were able to send a team from Vietnam to the Global Accelerator programme and demonstrate our
growth in spite of all the challenges that occurred. Second, I would like to reiterate that our mission to promote sustainable development,
responsible business leadership, and social entrepreneurship in accordance with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations

SOUTHEASTASIA
As one of 25 regions around the globe to have the honor to host the
Regionals, Hult Prize SEA keeps making nonstop efforts on the journey of
leading a generation to change the world and we are proud to have
generated meaningful social projects that solve the most urgent issues in
our society. In Vietnam, we inspire, spread social startup spirit to young
generation and become the launching platform for talented Vietnamese to
fly high in the international arena.
Vision
Mission
Through the spirit of startup, Hult Prize SEA carries out the mission of leading a generation to change the world. We challenge
young people to solve the problems that the world is facing by empowering them so that they can generate profit and make
better life to millions of people through their social businesses.
By the year 2030, Hult Prize SEA aims to implement educational programs, incubate and develop sustainable social business
models that make contributions to community, society to re-build the world in accordance to “17 Sustainable Development
Goals” proposed by the United Nations to all humankind
Hult Prize came to Vietnam in 2013 and got expanded
into Hult Prize Southeast Asia (Hult Prize SEA) in 2018.

The Hult Prize Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to launching the world's next wave of social
entrepreneurs. It encourages the world's brightest business minds to compete in teams to solve the planet's biggest
challenges with innovative ideas for sustainable start-up enterprises. Annual Hult Prize winners can make their ideas reality
with the help of USD1 million in seed funding.
United Nations
Established in 1945, the United Nations is an intergovernmental organization with the mission of maintaining international
peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations, achieving international co-operation in solving international
problems and being a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations. Apart from the prestigious Hult International Business
School, Hult Prize receivedpartnership with the United Nations from the early days. Annually, Hult Prize Challenge is based
on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable DevelopmentGoals to solve the greatest problems the world is currently facing.
Earth Day Network
Earth Day Network’s mission is to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide.
Growing out of the first Earth Day in 1970, Earth Day Network is the world’s largest recruiter to the
environmental movement, working with more than 75,000 partners in over 190 countries to drive positive
action for our planet. In 2020, Hult Prize became partner with Earth Day Network to speed up the quest of
searching for the most audacious ideas to solve the most urgent environmental issues.

On the journey of bringing Hult Prize SEA to thousands
of young people, our leaders play the most vital part.
We were able to gather a crew of talented, young
individuals, our changemakers who are full of
inspiration and enthusiasm, led more than 50
members, more than 100 volunteers and most
importantly, passed the flame of startup to more than
10,000 students all across Vietnam.

the United Nations. As a consequence of Earth Day, the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, and other related initiatives,
environmental consciousness globally is arguably greater than it has ever been. At Hult Prize, our main goal in 2020 is to
discover business leaders of tomorrow, who will generate positive impact on our planet with every dollar earned. The more

purpose of training and selecting the best
teams for the Hult Prize SEA Regional.
On the journey of searching for the best social startup
projects, Hult Prize SEA crossed many milestones. From
that, we are proud to have trained brilliant, confident and
daring warriors with their audacious ideas of social business.
At the same time, we carried out the mission of spreading
the spirit, the passion of social startup to youths in not solely
Vietnam but also the region.

winning teams. This Program aims to provide knowledge, skill sets,
practice, etc to help teams prepare them best for the Regional

Southeast Asia 2020 Champion. The Champion would
win a ticker to the Accelerator Program (The world’s
largest accelerator program) and a chance to compete
at the U.N Final with the prize up to 1.000.000 USD.

television stations broadcasting our events, achievements and special prize at Hult
Prize 2019-2020. Going along with our Program, they are the bridge that connects
Hult Prize to Vietnam, to the region and to the world.

BIOS provides natural leather products for fashion brands. By utilizing the organic
ingredients and applying bio technology, our young fellows are able to make
environmentally-friendly leather that can replace animals leather.

Pando
Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and Technology
With their products (bricks and tiles made from plastic waste), Pando wishes to
reduce current pollution. Their products are green products with affordable price,
high quality, and can be used in underdeveloped rural areas in Vietnam as well as in
other underdeveloped countries in the world.

STIGUD
National Economics University
STIGUD is a project that offers a solution to optimizing leftovers at the end of a day
by connecting restaurants, supermarkets with their customers. By applying supreme
sorting system, they promise to provide high quality products that meet strict criteria
for input ingredients from their partners. From there, STIGUD aims to promote a
sustainable food chain in Vietnam.

Danang University of Pharmacy and Medical Technology
Their group uses organic waste as an ingredient to make Biochar, BioFilter and BioRefresh
with an aim to process and utilize the waste. Additionally, each product in their set of three
has its own feature: Biochar is the fertilizer that helps improve the quality of soil, keep water,
provide nutrition and reduce erosion when combing with inorganic fertilizer; BioFilter reduce
the smell in farms and BioRefresh reduce mold in any high moisture environments.

MICWAY
Danang University of Technology
As a project that apply microorganism technology, Micway introduces BIOMS – a bio product
that specializes in treating poultry excrement, smell, diseases in farming, especially for quail
excrement. Moreover, BIOMS helps create BIOMS1 – microorganism fertilizer that meets
TCVN for organic plants, exported spice plants. Micway is researching to make more bio
products, making the world’s agriculture sustainable.

GreenTown
Fulbright University Vietnam
GreenTown is a mobile application with an aim to create a community where vegetarian
people can be connected, cook and share their passion for plant-based products. Their
service will be a solution for busy individuals that wish to form and maintain their vegetarian
habit. GreenTown wishes to spread out a new definition of vegan – it is not just a nutritious
diet but also a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
