Parkinson Research Paper
Parkinson s disease affects the way you move. It happens when there is a problem with certain nerve
cells in the brain. Normally, these nerve cells make an important chemical called dopamine. Dopamine
sends signals to the part of your brain that controls movement. Some conspiracy theories makes us
happy by creating a picture where hitler was finally reduced to a trembling, almost rigid person with
the mood swings of a woman at her worst PMS, shambling through a burnt, destroyed, and pillaged
Nazi regime because he was inflicted by parkinson s disease in the final days of his life. Although it is
rumored that hitler really had this disease. It was highly unlikely that he died from it due to the fact

A newspaper form group of Americans neurologists make the case that hitler suffered from parkinson
s disease for much of his life, and that some of his most fateful decision were influenced by the
neurological disorder. The possibilities of hitler suffering from parkinson s disease has long been the
subject of debate. Lieberman suggested that hitler suffered from parkinson s early as 1933. Video
evidence depicts that hitler exhibited progressive motor function deterioration from 1933 to 1945.
That hitler suffered from parkinson s at the end of his life is not a new idea but gupta et al.say that
hitler s disease may have impacted large parts of his life career. Making Him impulsive and
reckless, and ultimately making him lose WW2. We propose that hitler s conditions may have led him
to attack russia prematurely in 1941. Lieberman has suggested that the decision to invade russia
without an before defeating britain on the western front and waiting for reinforcements from japan,

to withdraw from stalingrad in 1942, as products of the dictator s volatile temperament which they

Nineteen Years A Slave By Solomon Northup Essay
As Americans today, we learn the history of our country, the good and the bad, however no one can
truly grasp the realities of slavery unless they have experienced it themselves. 12 Years a Slave is a
phenomenal book because, being a reflection of Solomon Northup s life, it accurately portrays the life
of a black slave during that time period, including intense detail that arises a variety of emotions in the
reader throughout the book. Published in 1853 in New York by Derby Miller, and written by Solomon
Northup himself, his memoir entitled, 12 Years a Slave is a phenomenal narrative of the accounts he
experienced as a free man kidnapped and sold into slavery that assisted in opening the eyes of the
public to the disturbing and barbaric realities of slavery in the Antebellum South. Throughout the
book, Solomon Northup gives an account of his life from the time he lived as a free man, to the time
he was kidnapped and sold into slavery, as well as his experiences as a slave, and up until he became a
free man again. In the beginning of the book, Solomon explains his life as he enjoyed the blessings of
liberty in a free state (Northup 10). His father was a slave who acquired his freedom when his slave
owner died and was then able to be emancipated, which led to Solomon being born a free man.
Unfortunately, Solomon s mother died while he was confined in slavery. Living as a free man,
Solomon was able to financially support his wife and three children by playing the violin

Essay Sexual Content in the Bluest Eye
The novel The Bluest Eye written by Toni Morrison is subjected on a young girl, Pecola Breedlove
and her experiences growing up in a poor black family. The life depicted is one of poverty, ridicule,
and dissatisfaction of self. Pecola feels ugly because of her social status as a poor young black girl and
longs to have blue eyes, the pinnacle of beauty and worth. Throughout the book, Morrison touches on
controversial subjects, such as the depicting of Pecola s father raping her, Mrs. Breedlove s sexual
feelings toward her husband, and Pecola s menstruation. The book s content is controversial on many

Applications Of Low Power Integrated Intelligent Sensors
Applications of low power integrated intelligent sensors [1 5] has been prolific in recent years, for
instance in environmental observation [8 10], security surveillance [11] and infrastructure
communication [12], and biomedical and healthcare monitoring [6, 7]. In particular, as the baby
boomers enter retirement, medical cost becomes significant. For example, in 2014, health care
accounted for 20% of federal spending in the U.S. []. A major problem in current healthcare systems is
that sensing and processing medical data require significant resources. In order to alleviate this
problem, wearable medical devices are expected to provide automatic monitoring and processing of
physiology signals, and more importantly, identifying abnormal signals and contact medical systems
for help if necessary, as shown in Fig. 1. Although such sensors usually have wireless data
communication capability through body area network, due to limited battery power supply, sending
raw sensed data is usually not an option. This is because that in a wireless sensor, usually radio
communication power is much higher than signal processing power []. Thus, it is expected that the
sensors are capable of providing preprocessing of raw data based on DSP algorithms and just sending
the processed results. Such sensors are called intelligent sensors []. Besides the capability of signal
processing and wireless communication, low power, high accuracy, high reliability, and small
footprint are also listed as

The World s Largest Religion
Introduction
Christianity is the world s largest religion in number of adherents, accounting to more than 2.1 billion
(around 31.4% as of 2015) and geographical spread in almost every country in the world, there is at
least one Christian community (Green ,2015).
The former religion of the Romans was polytheism based and could not give comfort to the destitute.
The many Gods and Goddesses did not lend themselves to the idea of equality and salvation.
Christianity proclaimed the equality of all people. People were considered equal in Christianity and
the Christian God was the unquestioned authority. This God did not share a pantheon with others, he
was the one and only. The new religion rejected the existing social system of slavery, and thus gave
rise to hope of liberation from oppression of the most desperate people. The religion called for the
reconstruction of the world. It gave hope to slaves, hope for freedom to common people through a
simple and accessible way through the adoption of the doctrine of Christ (Adair, 2008, pp.18 19).
Initially, Christianity spread among the Jews of Palestine and the Mediterranean diaspora of the Jews.
But starting from the first decades, especially through the work of the Apostle Paul, it has acquired a
large number of followers among other nations (Adair, 2008, p.19).

According to the doctrine of Christianity, God is an original entity and a predecessor of the whole

Buk Masks Research
Buk (Mask)
The buk, or mask, comes from the Mabuiag island in the Torres Strait. The Torres Strait is located
between Papua New Guinea and Australia, and contains hundreds of islands. The mask is made of
turtle shell, wood, fiber, feathers, and shell, and was created in the mid to late 19th century. Intricate
masks and figures made from plates of turtle shell are unique to the people of the Torres strait. The
majority of pieces that come from this area incorporate the use of the turtle shell in some way. This
mask is divided into three registers; the top containing feathers, the middle containing the face and
body of a bird, and the bottom containing a human face. The mask includes certain decorative aspects
that are stitched onto it, such as the curved pieces on the side of the face or the raffia, or palm tree

It is composed of wood, fibers, and shells. The Marshall Islands consists of 34 coral atolls, and over
1,000 islands and islets. In order to link the islands, the islanders built canoes that could travel from
place to place. They developed charts in order to mark each location and patterns of the waves and
wind. The chart uses horizontal and vertical sticks as support for the curving and diagonal sticks,
which represent the wave swells and wind patterns. Along the sticks, there are little shells to represent
the position of each island. The information on the charts were memorized before going out to sea,
and would not be taken on voyages. These charts were known as mattangs, which were specifically
made for the purpose of training people who were selected to be navigators. Each specific chart would
depict general information about swell movements around one or more small islands. Larger charts,

Comparing Romeo And Juliet And The Girl Who Fell From The Sky
The Rose by Bette Midler relates to characters in the stories of Romeo and Juliet by William
Shakespeare and The Girl Who Fell from the Sky by Heidi W. Durrow which include Romeo
Montague, and Rachel Morse by the love that they experience. Romeo portrays through the play that
he needs love and will do anything to keep it with Juliet. Although Rachel has many bad relationships
in the book, she learns that she can live independently and doesn t have to rely on a man. Both
characters portray the cons and pros of love.
Romeo longs for the tender love of Juliet. He goes great lengths in order to maintain his love. In the
early acts of the play, Romeo is ecstatic about the qualities in Juliet. He never loses that, but he does
learn that love is a double edged sword. In the first 6 lines of the Poem, Midler writes,
Some say love, It is a river,
That drowns the tender reed,
Some say love it is a razor,
That leaves the soul to bleed. (1 6). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He then learns that they have violent consequences. After Juliet is banned from seeing Romeo by her
parents, they order her to marry Paris. Juliet Refuses, and fakes her death. Still mourning, Romeo
learns that his love for Juliet caused her to commit suicide. Thus leaving his Soul to Bleed. These
violent delights have violent ends and in their triump die, like fire and powder Which, as they kiss,
consume (II.VI.V). Friar Lawrence explains to Romeo that his violent delights have violent ends. Just
like the poem, the delights that he lusts for will eventually stab himself in the back with the double

General Theory Of Crime And Delinquency
General Theory of Crime and Delinquency Many theories exist including biological, psychological,
and sociological theories that have been proposed by many criminologists in the criminal justice field
and have been closely studied by people (Agnew, Cullen, Wilcox, 2004). Most theories are proposed
at the micro level meaning it tries to explain the criminal behavior of individuals and some are
proposed at the macro level which tries to explain the crime rates in social groups, meaning micro
focuses on individuals and macro focuses on groups (Agnew et al., 2004). When something gets
integrated it means something is being mixed together and may form one idea when those items get
put together. Messner heavily discusses integrated theories which he describes as being theories that
are integrated or mixed to formulate relationships that list different variables from different theories
(Krohn, Liska, Messner, 1989). The integrated theory seeks to describe the relationships between
different theories and integrating them into one by gathering all the facts and information from several
theories with different strategies being used to integrate theories. (Krohn et al., 1989).
General theory of crime and delinquency focuses on how certain risk factors have an effect on crime,
answers why criminals offend, describes how crime occurs when constraints are low and when
motivation from crime is high and how certain life domains have reciprocal effects. One of the most

Similarities Between Western Society And Russian Society
Tolstoy s Views on Western Society vs Russian Society In the novel War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy the
main families are identified as members of the Aristocratic, or Western, society in Russia. The novel s
historical timeline includes the cultural shift from the original Russian culture seen in Moscow, to the
more progressive Aristocratic society, seen in Saint Petersburg. In the novel Tolstoy uses subtle and
some not so subtle indications that point toward his true opinion on the two different societies in
which the characters interact in. The depiction of societal norms in Petersburg in the novel illustrates
Tolstoy s views on Aristocratic culture as inferior to Russian culture; Tolstoy s views throughout the
novel are that the Aristocratic culture brought western societal norms to Russia, and extinguished the
original Russian culture and passion that Tolstoy idolized throughout the novel. The Western society
and the culture that has developed there is seen in a negative manner throughout the novel. The
characters who reside in this society and who are active participants in the culture are described as
being involved in manipulative relationships, and are only after status, power and wealth in both these
relationships and also in their careers. However, the Russian society and culture is seen in a much
more positive way. The characters who live in this society and experience the culture are seen as pure
and passionate. Each of these depictions of the different

Proposal For Higher Education
Current Research
Current research over student debt and its burden has allowed an insight and analyzation over the
government s role in higher education at the federal, state, and local level. Through data of institution
cost efficiency and inefficiency, tax exporting, and the backgrounds of student borrowers,
policymakers and can create a visual representation of the importance of state allocations towards
higher education.
Government matters. A study done by Sav (2016), explores the decreases in state and federal Pell
Grant funding for public colleges in the United States whose funding decreased from 32% to 23%
from 2004 2013. Sav s study concluded that state funding appropriations contributed significantly to
the higher education ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Second, it is crucial that the states, rather than the federal government solely, play a more concrete
role in reducing the burden for millions of student borrowers. Third, policymakers should take into
consideration the dynamics and backgrounds of the student body in higher education institutions when
considering appropriations.
Collective Themes
Several themes and elements are recurrent in this research of college affordability. Federalism
concerns add fuel to the debate of the role of government in higher education policymaking. Ethical,
equity, economic, and political issues arise that divide citizens between considering higher education a
public or a private good, whether it has economic benefits, and whether it is worth taxpayer dollars.
The themes are consistent through the perspectives of the history, media, government enactments,
public opinion, political parties, interest groups and research.
Federalism
The relationship between the national government and state governments has changed and expanded
immensely (Kraft Furlong, 2015). How does the issue of rising tuition, high student loan interests, and
student debt detail federalism? The authority of each level of government is questioned in education
policy. How much power should the national government have over higher education?
Constitutionally, the national government only has explicitly enumerated

The Pros And Cons Of Google Pixel
For years, Google has been contented with only having an indirect hand at the fiercely competitive
smartphone market.
But just last week, the California based brand shook the entire mobile industry when it announced that
it was ending its long running Nexus line and introducing a new, premium handset on the market: the
Google Pixel. So far, we like what we re seeing.
With Google s flagship phone offering so much promise on paper, we re sure you re wondering (as
much as we do) how it would fare against other popular high end smartphones. To satisfy everybody s
curiosity, we re pitting Google Pixel XL against Apple iPhone 7 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Note 7
(the non combustible kind, of course).

However, one thing it does right is providing users with unlimited cloud storage for their full
resolution photos and videos.
Another thing that makes Pixel XL stand out is that it has the sharpest display of the three devices.
Although Note 7 evens this out by having the largest display and a dual edge design, making it look
more enticing than its immediate competitors. For iPhone 7 Plus, it keeps itself relevant in this area by
incorporating pressure sensitive technology in its design (3D Touch) so its display may be more
functional than both Note 7 and Pixel XL.
Verdict: Again, it s another three way tie here.
If you re someone who gives a lot of weight to specs, you ll definitely be at a loss if made to choose
between Google Pixel XL, iPhone 7 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The reason why is that all
three devices are pretty much on par in terms of performance.
Ultimately, we re guessing that selecting among the three will come down to design and software
experience. Nevertheless, we re sure you ll have little regrets picking whichever of the three as they re
all powerful, well designed flagship models that can equally amaze and

The Genius Of The Constitution Tyranny
The Genius of the American Constitution
Since the advent of human government, one of the principle fears held by the constituents of the
government has always been to prevent any form of tyranny or abuse within it. Tyranny can be loosely
described as one person or a group of people having total power in a government leading to the
subjugation and oppression of people s rights. Many new nations wish to eliminate any aspect of their
government that may eventually lead to tyranny. The United States was no different in this respect; the
framers of the Constitution longed to have no signs of tyranny in their government because they had
gone to war with Britain for that very reason. In 1787, a group of fifty five delegates came from ...

James Madison in Federalist Paper #51 writes Hence a double security arises to the rights of the
people. The different governments will each control each other, at the same time that each will be
controlled by itself. This idea of Federalism allows the governments to be supervised by the others
while having control over itself. The powers of the government are spilt between the central and state
government so neither government could gain more power over the other. The powers that state
governments have are more specific to the state then the powers given to the central government. For
example, states were given the powers to pass marriage and divorce laws, establish schools, set up
local governments among others because these issues differ largely from state to state. Hence, it would
make it illogical to give the central government these types of rights because these issues vary from
state to state making it an act of tyranny by the majority against the minority. (Document A) The
framers of the Constitution recognized that if one person or a group of individuals gets all the powers,
tyranny was inevitable and to prevent this it became evident that a separation of powers must be
established. The framers acknowledged that it was possible to have a tyranny in a democracy as stated
in Federalist Paper #47 The accumulation of all powers...in the same hands..., and whether hereditary,
self appointed, or elective... is the very definition of tyranny. Thus, it was decided

Essay about Bulimia
Bulimia nervosa, more commonly known simply as bulimia or binge and purge disorder, is an eating
disorder that affects 1 in 4 college aged women in America, or 1 in 10,000 Americans. The most
common misconception concerning bulimia is that it is simply a physical or mental problem. Many
people do not understand that bulimia is a disease that affects both the mind and the body, and in its
course can destroy both aspects of the diseased individual. Bulimia affects a variety of different
people, but generally the victims will fall tend to fall into certain categories. Those at highest
vulnerability to this disease are young adult females, ages 12 to 18. The disease, however, can start as

Bulimics usually weigh themselves frequently, even several times daily. Bulimics also suffer from an
emotional cycle of guilt, pain, depression, and highs. They feel pride when they succeed in starving
themselves; guilt, pain, and depression when they eat; and the high usually follows a purge. The cycle
becomes an emotional outlet. Bulimics are often perfectionists, those who feel they have severe
standards to live up to. Those who feel that they cannot control their lives may turn to eating disorders
as a means to feel in control of some aspect of themselves. They tend to have an intense fear of
becoming a failure, and letting others down. Many doctors and members of society feel that society,
with its media fed images of beauty and perfection, is responsible for the disease. Food becomes a
night and day obsession, causing them to withdraw from their families, as well as school and social
lives. Bulimics will often refuse to eat in front of other people, and will find any sort of excuse to
avoid meals in groups. They may sneak food for bingeing when no one else is around. Bulimics may
sometimes run to the bathroom following any form of food intake. The disease is habit forming.
Bulimia is a disease that affects the entire body, as well. The first marks are often seen on the fingers
and hands of the diseased individual. They will usually have small cuts, calluses,

Pros And Cons Of Government Surveillance
The issue between government surveillance and individual rights has been around for a while now.
Government surveillance is a topic that makes most people feel uncomfortable because the idea of
having someone seeing your every move is disturbing. All though many say that it is for our own
safety it still has several negative outcomes. For example, our personal privacy would be completely
lost, the purchasing of programs and software to see everything would be expensive, and people
would not feel safe due to the fact that they would not know who exactly is seeing their personal
information and what they could do with it.

government to interfere with normal American citizens computers or phones without a search warrant.
Those type of searches would occur if a person was accused of being terrorist or being a part of
terrorist actions. Later on in 2015 president Barack Obama got discarded this act because he knew it
was unfair and not right. In 2007 Obama said, I will provide our intelligence and law enforcement
agencies with the tools they need to track and take out the terrorists without undermining our
Constitution and our freedom. That means no more illegal wiretapping of American citizens. No more
national security letters to spy on citizens who are not suspected of a crime. No more tracking citizens
who do nothing more than protest a misguided war. No more ignoring the law when it is inconvenient

Snow White By The Brothers Grimm
Snow White The story of Snow White is a cautionary tale that has been written by many. Each time it
has been told, the authors had a different interpretation of how it should be. The two variations that I
will be focusing on are The Brothers Grimm s story and Walt Disney s film. Although the fairytales
are written and filmed by different authors, they share a common theme and two symbols. The theme
that is present in both Grimm s and Disney s versions is that evil will always be punished. The
symbols that are in both tales include the concept of beauty and the red poisonous apple. The Brothers
Grimm wrote a few versions of Snow White, but the one I will be referring to be Snow White. I will
be comparing this story to the film of Walt Disney titled Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. These
two variations have a great deal in common including being about Snow White, but they both tell her
story a bit differently. I will point out a few of these differences. In Grimm s version, the Queen visits
the dwarf s house three times. Each time she comes, she leaves with Snow to be looking presumably
dead. The Queen harms her first with a tightly laced corset; second with a poisonous comb she
brushes her hair with and last with a red piece of a poisonous apple. In Disney s film, a red apple
poisons Snow once in the attempt by the evil Queen to take her life. In the Grimm s Snow White, the
kiss of the Prince does not awaken her like in Disney s film, but instead the Prince s men drop her

but these two were events that I especially wanted to investigate. Between these two events, I opted

Essay on Analysis of Birches by Robert Frost
In the poem Birches by Robert Frost, Frost portrays the images of a child growing to adulthood
through the symbolism of aging birch trees. Through these images readers are able to see the reality of
the real world compared to there carefree childhood. The image of life through tribulation is the main
focal point of the poem and the second point of the poem is if one could revert back to the simpler
times of childhood. The language of the poem is entirely arranged through images, although it
contains some diction it lacks sound devices, metaphors, and similes compared to other published
works by Frost. The first half of the poems images are of life, coming of age, and death.

if they never shatter or falling then youthfulness will always be his. Finally Frost talks about how he

Specific Elements Of Non Fatal Offences
Introduction
In this assignment, I will be explaining specific elements of non fatal offence, comparing the elements
of two specific non fatal offences and I will also be evaluating the law and sentencing for each section
of non fatal offences.
Types of Non Fatal Offences
1. Assault
2. Battery
3. Assault occasioning actual body harm (ABH) Section 47 OAPA
4. Inflicting grievous bodily harm or wounding Section 20 OAPA
5. Inflicting grievous bodily harm or wounding with intent Section 18 OAPA
Assault
An assault simply means intentionally or recklessly causing the victim to become frightened
immediately, unlawful harm. An assault is conceded by a threat causing bodily harm with an apparent.
It s a crime and a tort consequently they both result in ether criminal or civil liability.
Actus reus of Assault
The actus reus of assault is any act that leads the victim to apprehend an instant infliction of unlawful
violence. Actus reus under assault has three different elements. The three different elements are;
causing the victim to apprehend violence, immediate violence and unlawful violence.
Causing the victim to apprehend violence does not require any physical element between the
defendant and the victim. The importance of the situation is what the victim thought was going to
happen. Even though the defendant might have taught their threat was a joke, I would not be an
assault if the victim is adequately frightened. This can be related to Logdon v DPP [1976] Crim LR

Ethnographic studies can give insight into the way that stereotypes are seen and perceived in the real
world. Audrey Shalinsky defines ethnographic fieldwork as a scientific and artistic approach to the
description and analysis of cultural systems (Shalinsky, 968). I chose to do the ethnographic interview
as I wanted to learn about someone else s experiences and hear a different point of view than my own.
I interviewed one of my Cambodian friends who asked if their name could be omitted for privacy
purposes. He and I met at a Starbucks so that I could conduct my interview in a relaxed setting where
my interviewee would feel comfortable and open to talk about his experiences as someone from
Southeast Asian descent. Throughout my interview, I asked him what stereotypes he has encountered
and what stereotype he himself projects onto others. He talked about how he goes about his day to day
life and how that causes him to be stereotyped in a certain way and the way that he makes assumptions
about others based on their lifestyles and appearances. I wanted to mainly focus on the ways that he
has been racially stereotyped, but I also wanted to be able to analyze any other stereotypes that people
may have developed towards him. Also, I asked him how other people stereotyping him affect him
and why he thinks that other people create and use stereotypes to define people that they do not know.

Solving The Costs And Benefits For Each Of Our Options
Eric Chien
GESM 120 _35386
Paper #1/ Topic #1
To be rational is to understand and calculate the costs and benefits for each of our options and make
the decision that maximizes the value and utility of of self interest. However, humans often behave
irrationally due to our emotions, morality and desire for immediate pleasure. Given the above
depiction, Dan Ariely argues that we will be acting irrational if we don t commit acts of thievery since
the expected benefits of committing the act obviously outweighs the cost given that nobody would
find out . His definition of rationality is more or less similar to what most economists believe in,
which is making decisions strictly based on the highest grossing financial benefits. Therefore, under
his definition of rationality and irrationality, we would be acting irrational by succumbing to our
morality and conscience, and not commit the act that would bring us the most economic benefits.
Under his assumption, there is no cost or risk of committing acts of thievery, then to be rational under
his definition would be to steal whatever there is out there as it s practically the same thing as drinking
water from a public water fountain.
However, putting Plato s views in the picture, Plato would certainly argue against the claim that Ariely
has proposed. This traces all the way back to the discussion about the value and necessity of justice in
our lives. In Book IX of the Republic, Plato points out and argues for the value and

What Are The Similarities Of The Abrahamic Religions
Abrahamic Religions Approximately 1800 B.C., early Hebrew religion in Asia area Since humans
existed on the Earth, they soon realized that they were too weak to stand the nature. When the natural
disasters such as floods, tornadoes, and earthquakes happened, humans immediately related to the
superpowers that might trigger them. They believed in multiple Gods and sought protection from their
deities, and that was how polytheism gradually formed. Polytheism was practiced among the Jewish
up until God revealed Himself and passed the covenants to Abraham at Mount Sinai. Abrahamic
religions are known for practicing monotheism
The major religions of Abrahamic religions are Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Although all three
has the same origin and worship only one true deity, they do not all explain their practice in the same
way. ............Consequently, the separation of Christianity and Islam from Judaism is always a
fascinating subject to study for decades. Christianity and Islam both have deep roots in Judaism.
Therefore, they do share the equal amount of similarities as well as differences with Judaism. One of
the most common belief among the three religions is to believe in one God as a creator of the
universe. On the other hand, each religion complies with its laws in different Holy books. The Jews
follow the teachings of the Torah and call their God as Yahweh. The Christians refer to the Bible (also

What Is The Stamp Act Of 1765 Dbq
Throughout 1764 to 1774, the British imposed a series of new acts on the colonist which only created
stronger unification and brought the colonies closer to rebellion (Schultz, 2010). The first act was
known as the Sugar Act of 1764. Although this act decreased the taxed amount on molasses and sugar
imported from non British colonies in the West Indies, it was problematic for the colonists as it
strengthened the enforcement of collecting taxes. Next, the British imposed the Quartering Act of
1765. The Quartering Act was disrupted the homes of the colonists because it required the colonies to
provide food and shelter to British troops that were stationed in their territories. In the same year, the
Stamp Act was passed, which required all officials papers such as wills, newspapers, diplomas, and
cards to have an embedded stamp proving that the paper or document had indeed been taxed. These
acts were were becoming a nuisance to the colonists so they began to organize themselves by forming

Family Guy has been marked as racist in its delivery. The examples for this are endless. Each of the
over 2000 Family Guy episodes has some kind of racial joke. An example is an episode featuring
Brian on a date with an African American woman. The date is filled with racist jokes right from the
moment they met. Brian starts by commenting on the color of her skin saying it s a very lovely color.
When the woman introduces herself as Mrs. Parks, Brian comments, like Rosa Parks. On top of that,
during the date, Brian says he loves all black people and if he could take all the black people in the
world, he would buy a farm and let them all just run free (YouTube). Another example features a bar
scene with a horse and an African American man mocking each other. The horse asks rhetorically why
there are very few African American baseball players. He continues to state that is because they are
always stealing bases. Moreover, one week prior to Martin Luther King Day, the show did a skit
showing Martin as a lazy and ignorant janitor who loves to eat fried chicken and watermelons. He
then talks to his boss in an awkward old age black accent. (Gildemeister). African American people
are not the only target of their racism. The show also does racist and stereotype jokes on Asians,

Respiratory Failure Essay
This form of respiratory distress is commonly seen in premature newborns because their lungs are
immature and do not have enough surfactant to keep the lungs open. It is seen almost immediately
after birth or in the few hours following birth.
Cause
This decrease in surfactant causes the infant work harder to draw air into the lungs, which leads to low
oxygenation to the rest of the body s organs. The more premature the infant, the greater the chance of
developing RDS; other factors include previous baby s with RDS, a mother with diabetes, C section or
early delivery, a fast labor, a multiple fetus pregnancy and/or any problems that would reduce or
disrupt blood flow to the infant through the placenta.
Signs and Symptoms Symptoms can be seen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are also given supplemental warm, humidified oxygen but must be closely watched to avoid
toxicity. The doctor may also chose to use a CPAP machine to force air into the baby s nose, or a
mechanical ventilator if the infant is unable to breathe on its own.
Nursing Intervention
1. Monitor infant VS, note respiration rate, depth, lung sounds.
2. Administer supplemental oxygen as ordered.
3. Keep infant warm because premature infants are unable to regulate body temp
4. Administer IV fluids
5. Assess need for suction to clear mouth, nose, throat of mucus.
6. Monitor arterial blood gas
Nursing Diagnosis
1. Impaired gas exchange related to immature lungs
2. Ineffective breathing pattern
3. Impaired spontaneous ventilation
4. Risk for unstable blood glucose
Long Term RDS worsens from days 2 7 (Neonatal) and if an infant dies from the complication it is
usually during this time period. Other long term problems include bleeding into the lungs or brain,
issues with the development of the lungs, blood clots, mental disability due to lack of oxygen, and
possible blindness or eye

Normally, these nerve cells make an important chemical called dopamine. Dopamine sends signals to the part of your brain that controls movement. Some conspiracy theories makes us happy by creating a picture where hitler was finally reduced to a trembling, almost rigid person with the mood swings of a woman at her worst PMS, shambling through a burnt, destroyed, and pillaged Nazi regime because he was inflicted by parkinson s disease in the final days of his life. The possibilities of hitler suffering from parkinson s disease has long been the subject of debate. Lieberman suggested that hitler suffered from parkinson s early as 1933. Video evidence depicts that hitler exhibited progressive motor function deterioration from 1933 to 1945. That hitler suffered from parkinson s at the end of his life is not a new idea but gupta et al.say that hitler s disease may have impacted large parts of his life career. • 7. Applications Of Low Power Integrated Intelligent Sensors Applications of low power integrated intelligent sensors [1 5] has been prolific in recent years, for instance in environmental observation [8 10], security surveillance [11] and infrastructure communication [12], and biomedical and healthcare monitoring [6, 7]. In particular, as the baby boomers enter retirement, medical cost becomes significant. For example, in 2014, health care accounted for 20% of federal spending in the U.S. []. A major problem in current healthcare systems is that sensing and processing medical data require significant resources. In order to alleviate this problem, wearable medical devices are expected to provide automatic monitoring and processing of physiology signals, and more importantly, identifying abnormal signals and contact medical systems for help if necessary, as shown in Fig. 1. Although such sensors usually have wireless data communication capability through body area network, due to limited battery power supply, sending raw sensed data is usually not an option. This is because that in a wireless sensor, usually radio communication power is much higher than signal processing power []. Thus, it is expected that the sensors are capable of providing preprocessing of raw data based on DSP algorithms and just sending the processed results. Such sensors are called intelligent sensors []. Besides the capability of signal processing and wireless communication, low power, high accuracy, high reliability, and small footprint are also listed as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The former religion of the Romans was polytheism based and could not give comfort to the destitute. The many Gods and Goddesses did not lend themselves to the idea of equality and salvation. Christianity proclaimed the equality of all people. People were considered equal in Christianity and the Christian God was the unquestioned authority. This God did not share a pantheon with others, he was the one and only. The new religion rejected the existing social system of slavery, and thus gave rise to hope of liberation from oppression of the most desperate people. The religion called for the reconstruction of the world. It gave hope to slaves, hope for freedom to common people through a simple and accessible way through the adoption of the doctrine of Christ (Adair, 2008, pp.18 19). Initially, Christianity spread among the Jews of Palestine and the Mediterranean diaspora of the Jews. But starting from the first decades, especially through the work of the Apostle Paul, it has acquired a large number of followers among other nations (Adair, 2008, p.19). General Theory Of Crime And Delinquency General Theory of Crime and Delinquency Many theories exist including biological, psychological, and sociological theories that have been proposed by many criminologists in the criminal justice field and have been closely studied by people (Agnew, Cullen, Wilcox, 2004). Most theories are proposed at the micro level meaning it tries to explain the criminal behavior of individuals and some are proposed at the macro level which tries to explain the crime rates in social groups, meaning micro focuses on individuals and macro focuses on groups (Agnew et al., 2004). When something gets integrated it means something is being mixed together and may form one idea when those items get put together. Messner heavily discusses integrated theories which he describes as being theories that are integrated or mixed to formulate relationships that list different variables from different theories (Krohn, Liska, Messner, 1989). The integrated theory seeks to describe the relationships between different theories and integrating them into one by gathering all the facts and information from several theories with different strategies being used to integrate theories. (Krohn et al., 1989). • 13. Similarities Between Western Society And Russian Society Tolstoy s Views on Western Society vs Russian Society In the novel War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy the main families are identified as members of the Aristocratic, or Western, society in Russia. The novel s historical timeline includes the cultural shift from the original Russian culture seen in Moscow, to the more progressive Aristocratic society, seen in Saint Petersburg. In the novel Tolstoy uses subtle and some not so subtle indications that point toward his true opinion on the two different societies in which the characters interact in. The depiction of societal norms in Petersburg in the novel illustrates Tolstoy s views on Aristocratic culture as inferior to Russian culture; Tolstoy s views throughout the novel are that the Aristocratic culture brought western societal norms to Russia, and extinguished the original Russian culture and passion that Tolstoy idolized throughout the novel. The Western society and the culture that has developed there is seen in a negative manner throughout the novel. The characters who reside in this society and who are active participants in the culture are described as being involved in manipulative relationships, and are only after status, power and wealth in both these relationships and also in their careers. The Genius Of The Constitution Tyranny The Genius of the American Constitution Since the advent of human government, one of the principle fears held by the constituents of the government has always been to prevent any form of tyranny or abuse within it. Tyranny can be loosely described as one person or a group of people having total power in a government leading to the subjugation and oppression of people s rights. Many new nations wish to eliminate any aspect of their government that may eventually lead to tyranny. James Madison in Federalist Paper #51 writes Hence a double security arises to the rights of the people. The different governments will each control each other, at the same time that each will be controlled by itself. This idea of Federalism allows the governments to be supervised by the others while having control over itself. The powers of the government are spilt between the central and state government so neither government could gain more power over the other. The powers that state governments have are more specific to the state then the powers given to the central government. For example, states were given the powers to pass marriage and divorce laws, establish schools, set up local governments among others because these issues differ largely from state to state. Hence, it would make it illogical to give the central government these types of rights because these issues vary from state to state making it an act of tyranny by the majority against the minority. (Document A) The framers of the Constitution recognized that if one person or a group of individuals gets all the powers, tyranny was inevitable and to prevent this it became evident that a separation of powers must be established. For example, our personal privacy would be completely lost, the purchasing of programs and software to see everything would be expensive, and people would not feel safe due to the fact that they would not know who exactly is seeing their personal information and what they could do with it. • 27. Snow White By The Brothers Grimm Snow White The story of Snow White is a cautionary tale that has been written by many. Each time it has been told, the authors had a different interpretation of how it should be. The two variations that I will be focusing on are The Brothers Grimm s story and Walt Disney s film. Although the fairytales are written and filmed by different authors, they share a common theme and two symbols. The theme that is present in both Grimm s and Disney s versions is that evil will always be punished. The symbols that are in both tales include the concept of beauty and the red poisonous apple. The Brothers Grimm wrote a few versions of Snow White, but the one I will be referring to be Snow White. I will be comparing this story to the film of Walt Disney titled Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. These two variations have a great deal in common including being about Snow White, but they both tell her story a bit differently. I will point out a few of these differences. In Grimm s version, the Queen visits the dwarf s house three times. Each time she comes, she leaves with Snow to be looking presumably dead. The Queen harms her first with a tightly laced corset; second with a poisonous comb she brushes her hair with and last with a red piece of a poisonous apple. In Disney s film, a red apple poisons Snow once in the attempt by the evil Queen to take her life. In the Grimm s Snow White, the kiss of the Prince does not awaken her like in Disney s film, but instead the Prince s men drop her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 29. Essay on Analysis of Birches by Robert Frost In the poem Birches by Robert Frost, Frost portrays the images of a child growing to adulthood through the symbolism of aging birch trees. Through these images readers are able to see the reality of the real world compared to there carefree childhood. The image of life through tribulation is the main focal point of the poem and the second point of the poem is if one could revert back to the simpler times of childhood. The language of the poem is entirely arranged through images, although it contains some diction it lacks sound devices, metaphors, and similes compared to other published works by Frost. While the first half of the poem deals with the coming of age the second half of the poem deals with childhood and wanting to stay young for as long as possible. The first image of childhood by Frost is when Truth broke in With all her matter of fact about the ice storm, I should prefer to have some boy bend them. A boy bending the trees in stead of ice storm allows the tree to never age because they will always return to their original shape and never break by the burden of a load. This is further expressed By riding them down over and over again Until he took the stiffness out of them. Once the trees lose their stiffness the boy can play on them repeatedly without having to worry about them breaking therefore if they never shatter or falling then youthfulness will always be his. Finally Frost talks about how he would like to go back to being a boy swinging and climbing on trees just as he did when he was younger by saying So was I once myself a swinger of birches. Audrey Shalinsky defines ethnographic fieldwork as a scientific and artistic approach to the description and analysis of cultural systems (Shalinsky, 968). I chose to do the ethnographic interview as I wanted to learn about someone else s experiences and hear a different point of view than my own. I interviewed one of my Cambodian friends who asked if their name could be omitted for privacy purposes. He and I met at a Starbucks so that I could conduct my interview in a relaxed setting where my interviewee would feel comfortable and open to talk about his experiences as someone from Southeast Asian descent. Throughout my interview, I asked him what stereotypes he has encountered and what stereotype he himself projects onto others. He talked about how he goes about his day to day life and how that causes him to be stereotyped in a certain way and the way that he makes assumptions about others based on their lifestyles and appearances. I wanted to mainly focus on the ways that he has been racially stereotyped, but I also wanted to be able to analyze any other stereotypes that people may have developed towards him. • 37. Solving The Costs And Benefits For Each Of Our Options Eric Chien GESM 120 _35386 Paper #1/ Topic #1 To be rational is to understand and calculate the costs and benefits for each of our options and make the decision that maximizes the value and utility of of self interest. However, humans often behave irrationally due to our emotions, morality and desire for immediate pleasure. Given the above depiction, Dan Ariely argues that we will be acting irrational if we don t commit acts of thievery since the expected benefits of committing the act obviously outweighs the cost given that nobody would find out . His definition of rationality is more or less similar to what most economists believe in, which is making decisions strictly based on the highest grossing financial benefits. Therefore, under his definition of rationality and irrationality, we would be acting irrational by succumbing to our morality and conscience, and not commit the act that would bring us the most economic benefits. Under his assumption, there is no cost or risk of committing acts of thievery, then to be rational under his definition would be to steal whatever there is out there as it s practically the same thing as drinking water from a public water fountain. However, putting Plato s views in the picture, Plato would certainly argue against the claim that Ariely has proposed. This traces all the way back to the discussion about the value and necessity of justice in our lives. In Book IX of the Republic, Plato points out and argues for the value and ...
