The Zamet Centre in Rijeka, Croatia is a 16,830 square meter multi-use facility that includes a 2,380 seat sports hall, local community office, city library, commercial and service spaces, and a 250-space parking garage. The design integrates the large complex into the urban structure of the Zamet neighborhood through elements like sinking one third of the sports hall underground. Flexible design allows the hall to host sports, concerts, and conferences. Stripes on the facade reference local rock formations. The square outside connects surrounding areas and determines the connection point between new and existing development.
