1. ROCKWOOL plant for wool insulation production (Elabuga, Russia)
The 4th Russian plant of ROCKWOOL, located in the Republic of Tatarstan in the
territory of the special economic zone "Alabuga" (Elabuga region), was
inaugurated on April 4, 2012. The Rockwool Group has invested $ 150 million in
this production line.
The volume of production is 110 thousand tons per year with the possibility of
installing a second production line, which will double the existing capacity. The
plant produces an innovative product of ROCKWOOL - Light Butts SCANDIC, the
first stone wool insulation to be compressed.
Gross Building area – 48,500 m2
Role in the project – Project Engineer from Client (2010-2012)
2. ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation Centre (Bohumin, Czech Republic)
Rockwool, a leading world producer of mineral wool insulation, has invested one billion
crowns in Bohumin. The Bohumin plant thus became a new production and logistics centre
for the technical insulation of the entire Rockwool Group for Central and Eastern Europe.
Much of the investment was used to build 3 production lines for technical insulation. The
new lines are linked to the primary line, with an annual capacity of 65,000 tones, producing
stone mineral wool as a semi-finished product. The project also included the construction
of buildings for storage, handling and shipping of products. In Bohumin they also revitalized
the inner area of the plant and strengthened the areas for outdoor warehouses.
The investment has further helped to improve the waste management area. Stone wool is a
fully recyclable material and the installation of new equipment has significantly increased
the proportion of production waste that is recycled back to the production in the form of
briquettes.
Gross Building area – 30,000 m2
Role in the project – Project Manager from Client (2013-2014)
3. Aviation Industrial Plants Sukhoi (Moscow region, Russia)
The reconstruction of the mechanical workshop for the assembly production of the
components of the medium-range aircraft was carried out. As a result, it was possible
to create a modern production site with highly efficient jobs.
The commissioning of the reconstructed workshop almost completes the
implementation of the action plan to expand the production of civil aircraft and bring
production volumes to the planned level.
