4.  5 weeks before study leave begins!
 Produce a revision timetable and stick to it!
 Spend about 4 hours per day on revision
 Maintain a balance - plan work, plan
leisure
Leisure should be guilt free!

5.  Revision lessons.
 Structured revision programmes.
 Practice questions and past papers.
 Individual targets/action plans where
appropriate
 Plenty of help and advice!

6.  Study leave begins on Monday 12 May.
 Students will revise at home and come into
school for their examinations.
 Students in school will be based in either the
Library or R1, and will be expected to bring
revision material with them.
 Revision sessions will be held, with notice given
as to when and where these will take place.
 Normal school rules will apply
◦ uniform, signing in/out, behaviour

Results available
from 10.00 am
Staff available at school to:
– Congratulate (hopefully!)
– Commiserate (hopefully not!)
– Discuss any implications
for AS choices
– Discuss any other matter in
the light of GCSE results

8.  AS Level Option Forms should be returned by
today.
 99.75% of options initially chosen have been
possible.
 Use Parents’ Evening to discuss options with
teachers, but conversations should be limited
to 5 minutes please, to avoid large queues
forming.

9. We hope the evening is informative and
will help you to support your son and/or
daughter through their final weeks of
their GCSEs.
