Andrew Klaber organisation-Evenground is a non-
profit organisation that aims to promote symbiotic
relationships between the private, public, and non-
profit sectors that increase social and economic
empowerment.
He was inspired by children in need and he wants to
spread the awareness of HIV and its impacts on youth
and children.
3. Continuation
He hoped to address the impacts of the HIV epidemic
on children and youth and strives to help families and
communities break the cycles of poverty and
inequality by providing support to community-based
programs that offer high-quality education and care to
young people in Africa.
4. History of Evenground
Originally known as Orphans Against AIDS (OAA),
Even Ground was founded in 2002. From the
beginning, Even Ground has worked to break the cycle
of HIV/AIDS by ensuring that children and youth
affected by the epidemic receive high-quality
education, nutrition, and care.
5. Impacts of their projects
They provides education scholarships to children growing
up in the Dikatole informal settlement outside of
Johannesburg, enabling them to become educated,
confident, successful young adults who have the tools and
desire to play a positive role in the future of South Africa
and the world.
They provide targeted educational, physical and emotional
support, Thanda helps 350 rural South African children
and their communities develop and implement sustainable
and lasting solutions to the devastating problems created
by poverty, empowering them to reach a brighter future

They Believe that early education is a critical need and
will set children on a path to change their futures,
Themabanthi supports 170 children, ages 2-5, at
grassroots organizations in rural Zululand. These
programs work closely with the surrounding
communities to fill in gaps created by poverty and
HIV/AIDS.
