Example Of Naturalistic Observation
A. A naturalistic observation is a form of research that takes place in the participant s own
environment. This could be the participant s workplace or a child s home. Another form of observation
that was also conducted was covert observations is an empirical research were the participants don t
know when they are being observed. Covert methods in general has always been contentious, on the
basis that you can mislead the participant of the study. However, they offer access to information that
would otherwise be nearly impossible. Regarding this, the subject that I ve decided to study was an
biracial female that is athletic, roughly 5 7, dark colored hair, brown eyes, ages between 16 17, and is
a senior at Minnetonka High School. The specific behavior of interest was the amount of socializing
with classmates when teacher asks to share their views about the topic in class.
B. Day 1: The subject look very disinterested at class. While the teacher was discussing about the code
of conduct in class regarding cell phones the subject was on her smartphone. The teacher made us
repeat the words to our classmates. She sat there and still proceeded to look at her phone. She doesn t
seem to be interested of the class. Day 2: Mr. teacher gives the students the first 5 minutes of class to
write in their journals. The teacher also gives the students prompts on the board if they don t know
what they want to write. While most of the students are sitting there answering the prompt on the

Edward Taylor Vs Anne Bradstreet Essay
Edward Taylor and Anne Bradstreet are two 17th century Puritan writers. Very so like most Puritans,
their works reflect their beliefs. Even though the writers are Puritans, they share some similarities
while having some differences. Taylor s works have a single focus which is totally religion based; on
the other hand, Bradstreet s works have a multiple focus of a personal level and of God. Alternatively,
both writers highly respect God.
Bradstreet uses metaphors and analogies of her own experiences and struggles with life to show God s
grace. In her poem, Here Follows Some Verses upon the Burning of Our House , Bradstreet uses her
skills to illustrate the destruction of her home and belongings. Like some may mourn the loss of their
belongings, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She personifies the poem as a child Thou ill formed offspring of my feeble brain (Line 1). The
offspring poem is horrible and ill formed. When she first writes her book, it is not good and she does
not want it to be published. Throughout the poem, she describes the process of her book being
published and her as a poet accepting her work. As for Edward Taylor, he writes with a narrower focus
and that is a focus on God. In all of his poems, he centers on God, but he is best known for his great
poem, Huswifery. In this poem, the speaker compares God making him into a better man to a woman s
spinning wheel. The poem opens with the pleading statement, Make me, O Lord, Thy spinning wheel
complete (Line 1). The speaker wants God to take control and thread him into a man of his Holiness
and righteousness. The speaker will then be a creation from God himself. Hence, these two 17th
century poets share similarities, but not in their style of writing. Both poets share their beliefs of
Puritanism, but Anne Bradstreet also, gives readers a glimpse of herself. Moreover, they share
similarities of their Puritan backgrounds, but there is not much similarity in the style of

Salt Water On Mars
Space exploration has interested the world for many decades, even centuries. From the time Galileo
first looked up into the stars, to the time of rockets to enter into outer space so much has changed.
Through the countless years of devoted research for life sustaining substances a recent discovery may
have changed our world forever. For years we have wondered if there has been a water source on
another planet. With Mars being in a more ideal location than Venus, the second planet from The Sun
due to temperature, scientist have been researching Mars for water precisely. Images from NASA s
Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter also known as the MRO, has shown citing s of saltwater on the Garni
crater, of Mars (NASA). With many years of researching due to the previous missions, evidence of
water on Mars has been captured thanks to an increase in missions and technology, which also leads to
many questions about the further understating, and if this watery substance is a use to us. NASA , also

Thanks to the development of many missions, and space robotics this led to the findings of some type
of water on the Red Planet , Mars. The search for water on Mars has been accomplished however fell
short of countless expectations due to many complex components. The water contains salt and
perchlorates that can dangerous to human intake. This issue has caused a delay in our search for
sustained life on Mars. The future of exploring into the proclaimed water substance is still unknown,
but has potential in future scientific applications and possibilities. The rover, Curiosity, is prohibited to
explore the water in order to eliminate chances of any possible situations of Earth like material to

Essay On Line Of Credit
What level of committed line of credit do we need, and consider how we have been managing
working capital in the past and potential growth in revenues that translates into working capital
investment? You need to address the considerations in managing the cash conversion cycle better.
A business line of credit is one that gives capital to meet a whole variety of business needs. When
business draw on their business line of credit to get more working capital, buy inventory, handle
seasonal cash flow gaps, pay off other debts, or address almost any other business emergency or
opportunity. On the other hand, a line of credit is a simple financing product that allows business to
withdraw funds up to a predetermined amount. The business will only ... Show more content on

However, this metric looks at the amount of time needed to sell inventory, the amount of time needed
to collect receivables and the length of time the company is afforded to pay its bills without incurring
penalties. In fact, most business acquires inventory on credit, which results in accounts payable. A
business can also sell products on credit, which results in accounts receivable. However, cash is not
involved until the business pays the accounts payable and collects the accounts receivable. Therefore,
the cash conversion cycle measures the time between the outlay of cash and the cash recovery. The
cash conversion cycle cannot be observed directly in cash flows, which are affected by financing and
investment activities as well; rather, the cycle refers to the time span between a firm s disbursing and
collecting cash (Mueller, (2017)
Should we keep existing cash on the balance sheet for future mergers and acquisitions or should we
consider using some of these funds for supporting our short term line of credit needs?
Growth and expansion are some of the primary motivations that influence the decisions of a business.
A business entity that pursues growth in existing and new markets stands greater chances of
maintaining competitive advantage over its rivals. Other than organic growth, a business can enter
mergers or acquire other firms to accelerate its market

Tabernacle Exodus Essay
L.6 Exodus: The Tabernacle of God s Presence God s desire of constructing the Tabernacle was not
because He didn t have a place to live. We know that the Lord is the owner of the whole universe. God
wanted to give His people a visible sign of His presence, for those whom he rescued from suffering
and captivity. He wanted that the Israelites would have the eagerness of fellowship with Him. As
mentioned above, God s principal purpose of the tabernacle was to give the Israelites a visible sign of
His presence; in other words, the Lord wanted His people know that He was with them. Second, He
wanted to establish true worship because as Israelites lived in captivity for hundreds of years they
were surrounded by Egyptian idolatry. The tabernacle ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Tabernacle was a visual presentation of God s holiness because its structure was so secure and no
one who was not cleansed before could enter. Also, for the offerings God gave the Israelites specific
instructions in cleansing the offerings. God s holiness is beyond perfection. In Exodus 27, 29, God
gave specific instructions to Moses about the preparations, construction and plans for the Tabernacle.
He also gave detailed specifications of how the people could encounter Him. This teaches us that we
have to do thing according to what God wants not by how we want to do it.
The tabernacle had three main parts. First, the courtyard was opened to all the Israelites meaning that
everyone was allowed to be there. Second, the Holy place was only allowed for the priests to enter
because it was approaching to God s holiness. Third, the Holy of Holies in which only the high priest
was permitted to enter but only once a year on the Day of Atonement and by entering the high priest
had the possibility to die by just entering as a result of God s absolute holiness. As we can see the
closer they were to the holy of holies greater the regulations

Brief history:
Burger King s first restaurant, originally called Insta Burger King, was opened on December 4, 1954
in a suburb of Miami, Florida by James McLamore and David Edgerton; both alumni of the Cornell
University School of Hotel Administration.
In 1967, after eight years of private operation, the Pillsbury Company acquired Burger King and its
parent company Burger King Corporation. At the time of the purchase, BK had grown to 274
restaurants in the United States.
When Burger King Corporation began franchising in 1967, it relied on a regional franchising model
where franchisees would purchase the right to open stores within a defined geographic region. These
franchise agreements granted BKC very little oversight control over its franchisees and resulted in
issues of product quality control, store image and design and operations procedures.
Burger King Egypt:
The opening of the first Burger King® restaurant will took place during the second quarter of 2007 at
Egypt s City Stars Mall, Cairo, one of the largest shopping malls in the region. A further two openings
are due to follow shortly in Sharm El Sheikh, Signaling the beginning of a large expansion program
that will follow over the next five years

Nietzsche On The Genealogy Of Morality
Friedrich Nietzsche, an extremely controversial thinker of his time, was an outspoken critic of German
nationalism, anti Semitism, and religious dogmatism (Kellner). Indubitably, Nietzsche has had a great
impact on the improvement of twentieth century social thought. Key ideas from Nietzsche are
included in the following: The Gay Science, On the Genealogy of Morality and Beyond Good and
Evil. In the Gay Science, Nietzsche presents the famous image of the madman declaring God is dead...
and we have killed him . Much of Nietzsche s work problematizes Christianity and urges humanity to
rethink the basis of morality. The artful self stylization that may be implied by this is also suggested,
and how to live without religious certainty. After the loss of religion as a guide and path to follow in
his time, Nietzsche acknowledged the need for direction and understood that this could be possible by
creating certain values for society to accept and follow. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

as barbaric (Nietzsche, 1887), he suggested that a higher form of culture could be obtained through
free spirited individuality and the process of self overcoming. Nietzsche proposed that we are the
creature and creator of ourselves. In order to attain this higher form of culture and individuality, the
creature with brutality instincts within us must be conquered. We must self examine and assess

Los Vendidos, Produced by Luis Valdez Essay
For centuries, the Mexican American experience has been one of adversity and endurance. The plight
of these native peoples has been ignored and many times erased from the American conscience. They
have struggled for acknowledgment, they have fought for equality and they have gone to battle for
respect. Luis Valdez s play, Los Vendidos, is just one of many contributions to this effort. A powerfully
moving play, Los Vendidos, or the sell outs , is a piece created to gain acknowledgement, heighten
awareness and to create a sense of camaraderie amongst the people fighting in the Chicano Movement
of the late 1960 s and 70 s. Created by a population that had been victimized, beaten and driven to the

She is a secretary working for the governor s office that maintains a proper yet pompous American
accent, and her hair is dyed a shade of platinum blond. She personifies the American aspiration to de
Mexicanize the Mexican Americans. As she shops for a suitable used Mexican model the civic
indifference and racism that the Mexican Americans have been forced to combat becomes
progressively more apparent.
Women, who have always accounted for half of the population, have not historically been recognized
or respected for their contributions to society. In the past, all women have had to struggle against a
chauvinistic world, but for minority women the fight has been even harder. For Mexican America
women they have had two strikes against them in the eyes of America, not only were they Mexican

Comparison Of Rudyard Kipling
Rudyard Kipling was born to Alice MacDonald and John Lockwood Kipling on December 30, 1865 in
Bombay, India. Most of his education took place in England where his parents were from. Before
getting into writing his own literature, Kipling was a sub editor at the CMG, The Civl and Military
Gazette. He worked for several years before beginning to write. Farther into his career as a writer and
poet, Kipling wrote the poem The White Man s Burden. In this poem, he attempts to teach readers that
you should not do what is right only for praise and glory, but instead because it is the right thing to do.
Kipling also criticizes the U.S. government for being too timid to go to war. In the song DNA. by
Kendrick Lamar, parts of the song criticize others for not taking chances and for being too scared.
Both Rudyard Kipling s The White Man s Burden and Kendrick Lamar s DNA. criticize others for
excessive timidness and their failure to take chances. In The White Man s Burden, Rudyard Kipling
attempts to teach readers the importance of doing what is right even when there is lots of hate and no
praise. In lines 19 and 20, Kipling mentions that when countries go to war for the good of their people,
they still receive lots of hate. The blame of those ye better/ The hate of those ye guard (Kipling 19,20).
This is saying that governments are often loathed by countries whom they have bested in battle and
also receive hate from the very people they were trying to help. Along with this message, Kipling also
attempts to criticize governments for being too timid and fearful of war. In line 26, Kipling writes a
line that is a little humorous but also very deep. Have done with the childish days (Kipling 26). Here,
Kipling says the way the government is so fearful and timid is a childlike quality. He believes that
they need to be much stronger and brave if they want to stay in power. Kendrick Lamar attempts to
produce a similar message to listeners in his hit song, DNA. Both Rudyard Kipling in The White Man
s Burden, and Kendrick Lamar in DNA. criticize a similar issue in society. In D.N.A, Kendrick Lamar
hopes to motivate others to take more risks and get over any fears they may have. Through this song,

Otto von Bismarck, the chancellor of Germany, envisioned that One day the great European War will
come out of some damned foolish thing in the Balkans. He would later be proven right when the
powder keg in the Balkans finally blew up and affected all of Europe. The Slavic people in the
Balkans wanted their own unified nation. They tried to fight Austria Hungary to create a Pan Slavic
nation, but the Slavs were only given Serbia and a few other Balkan territories. Bosnia and
Herzegovina, however, were annexed by Austria Hungary. This takeover by Austria Hungary
ultimately led to a nineteen year old Bosnian Serb firing two gunshots that would end the lives of the

Limitations imposed by high water demands: Various opinions on implementing water harvesting

For Bihar, the concentration is low however cold and sub humid weather eases the requirements for
irrigation considerably. In most of the regions, the chief concern for societies is to access the water for
agriculture and not the physical accessibility of water. For deprived societies, the harvesting of water
fail to offer any cost effective solution for gaining access to the water.
Need for a Cohesive Approach: The volume of runoff along with its occurrence pattern decides how
much surplus amount a particular water harvesting structure can store. A catchment of one kilometer
square experiencing an overall yearly runoff of 20 cm can produce a surface flow of 0.20 MCM.
Generally, the actual pattern decides how much amount could be stored. Short duration, high
concentration rainfalls are normally seen in parched and semi arid parts of India, giving rise to flash
floods. During main monsoon days, most of the runoff takes place, leading to less proficiency of
collection of such runoffs thereby decreasing the capacity of the structures developed for the same.
However, if, large systems are built to store high runoff concentrations, it helps in increasing the
proficiency of collection of runoffs, which leads to expanding cost per unit volume of water stored.
That s why it is argued that, if collected water is directly diverted to the plants for use in parched
areas, then only runoff harvesting should be implemented. In

The Root Cause Of The Civil War
Slavery, as Abraham Lincoln often noted, was the root cause of the Civil War. Tensions over slavery
dated back to the contradictory nature of the American Revolution of 1776 that resulted in a republic
simultaneously committed to freedom for whites and bondage for blacks (Barney W., p. 61). Within
years North and South reached the point at which compromise was not possible. At that time Civil
War had been started.
In this paper we would analyze the causes of the Civil War and advocate the thesis that slavery was
the cause of the Civil War.
As we already noted in the 1800s expediency of slavery was disputed. While industrial North almost
abandoned bondage, by the early 19th century, slavery was almost exclusively confined to the South,
home to more than 90 percent of American blacks (Barney W., p. 61). Agrarian South needed free
labor force in order to stimulate economic growth. In particular, whites exploited blacks in textile
production. This conditioned the differences in economic and social development of the North and
South, and opposing viewpoints on the social structure. Northerners now saw slavery as a barbaric
relic from the past, a barrier to secular and Christian progress that contradicted the ideals of the
Declaration of Independence and degraded the free labor aspirations of Northern society (Barney W.,
p. 63).
In 1830s some faithful activists like W. Garrison, Tappan brothers, T. Weld and others have made
several publications advocating antislavery movement and claiming that slavery is a major sin. They
give birth to the movement of abolitionism and win over many white Americans to their camp.
Main goal of the early abolitionists was to create a better society through reforms and they engaged in
a battle to convince their fellow Americans that it was morally wrong to keep other humans in
bondage. In order to realize a better and more righteous republic, they believed, the institution of
slavery had to be rejected (Harpen R., Dal Lago E., p. 296). Many abolitionists appealed to abolish
slavery immediately as they believed all people should be equal in rights. The abolitionists demanded
immediate emancipation without payment to slaveowners. Rather than accepting the dominant white
view of

Child Labour In Ethiopia Essay
Introduction
Child labour is a very real problem in the world today, and although it is declining, progress is
happening at a slow and unequal pace. Child labour by the International Labour Organization is
defined as work that deprives children of their childhood, their potential and their dignity, and that is
harmful to physical and mental development (Diallo, Etienne, Mehran, 2013, p. 2). In the most
extreme forms of child labour it could account for child enslavement, separation from their families,

To further my argument I will use Ethiopia as a case study to show how globalization has provided the
push for countries to acknowledge the problem of child labour and create actions to fix it. This paper
will be divided as follows: firstly I will provide a brief background on child labour in the world;
secondly I will provide the situation in Ethiopia; thirdly I will present the actions that the government
has placed to combat child labour in accordance with my argument; lastly, I will give my
recommendations regarding the implications of the actions of the Ethiopian government.
Child Labour in the World Today
In 2008, there were approximately 215 million child labourers, aged 5 17, in the world. According to
the International Labour Organization, the number of child labourers globally fell by 3% from the
years of 2004 2008 which is slower in comparison to the 2000 2004 period that had an 11% decrease
(Diallo, Etienne, Mehran, 2013).There has also been a 15% decrease in the number of girls in child
labour in contrast to boys who are having their work increase (United Nations, 2013). Among them,
115 million children were in hazardous work which includes: prostitution, agriculture, mining, militia,
construction, manufacturing, service industries, hotels, bars, and domestic service (Cigno, Rosati,
Guarcello, 2002). The terms hazard and risk are often used with this type of child

No Heroes, No Villains By Steven Phillips
In the short book of No Heroes, No Villains by Steven Phillips On June 28, 1972, a Transit Authority
patrolman, John Skagen, was on his way home from testifying at court for an arrest he made a couple
of weeks prior. Skagen was taking the train home to the Bronx when he saw and stopped James
Richardson who was awaiting the subway train which would take him to work at Lincoln Hospital.
Skagen ordered him to put up your hands, and get against the wall . Skagen s actions seem
unprovoked and unnecessary. After a short tussle the two men exchanged shots and Richardson fled
the scene on foot. Two other officers that were on the main street above the subway station rushed to
the scene. As they approached the entrance of the station, Richardson who was fleeing the scene ran
directly into one of the officers. One of the officer noticed Richardson was shot and attempted to stop
Richardson. The other officer continued down into the subway and witnesses Skagen holding his gun
and pointing it towards him, the officer emptied his gun into Skagen who was able to let off one round
prior to the officer shooting him. Richardson was later apprehended and taken to the emergency room
for his wounds. His gun was also retrieved. Skagen was rushed to the same hospital emergency room
where he was pronounced dead. Richardson confessed to shooting Skagen and revealed that there
were only four rounds exchanged between the two men. Skagen s autopsy revealed that he had been
shot five times and

What Is Tacit Knowledge Approach
The tacit knowledge approach highlights understanding the sorts of knowledge that individuals in an
organization have, moving people to transfer knowledge within an organization and managing key
individuals as knowledge creators and carriers. One of the significant capabilities of competition is
managing perceived intangible assets such as knowledge in organization. Besides managing this
intangible asset of enterprises, another vital issue is considered as diffusion of knowledge within the
organization. Knowledge resources can be divided into at least two different components depending
on the possibility of structuring and coding the knowledge. The possibility to code and the
externalization of knowledge is of essential importance to the diffusion of it according to some
researchers, while other again considers the codifying unnecessary or of minor importance. Structured
knowledge is often diffused by different systems for storing and sharing knowledge and today there
has been much scientific interest in the technology of these systems. The most important feature of the
tacit knowledge approach is the fundamental principle that knowledge is basically individual in nature
and is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A market culture is a type of corporate culture that emphasizes competitiveness not only between the
organization and its market competitors but also between employees. The market model is the most
aggressive and capitalistic of the four common corporate culture models. Employees are encouraged
to set difficult goals and strive to achieve them. Employee performance is closely monitored and often
directly rewarded or punished. The emphasis on individual performance is thought to lead to greater
achievement for the individual employee and, as a result, greater success for the organization. Critics
of the market model, on the other hand, argue that the emphasis on individual achievement can
promote dishonesty and an unpleasant and thus unproductive work

Soldiers Home Ernest Hemingway Essay
Signs of the PTSR in the Soldier s Home by Ernest Hemingway
The Soldier s Home is a short story written by Ernest Hemingway. Its plot focuses on Harold Krebs, a
young man, who returned to his home in Oklahoma after two years participation in the World War I.
This experience affected Harold and disturbed his full integration into the civil life. The end of the
story shows signs of improvement in Krebs s condition, as the man finally decides to find a job. But
this changes are shallow the character stayed withdrawal and did not demonstrate a strong wish to
participate in common activities of the civil life. It is possible to suggest the man suffered from the
Post traumatic stress disorder caused by the war. While Harold s behavior did not correspond fully to
the aspect of this disease, Hemingway s description of his actions and attitude includes some
symptoms of the PTSD.
This complex disorder causes a wide arrange of symptoms, which are broken down into different
categories. Harold did not demonstrate any of the active signs of the PTSD: the man was not
aggressive; he did not have hallucinations, nightmares or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of them were caused by a necessity to lie and exaggerate to make people listen him
(Hemingway 1). Evidences of the man s negative thoughts appeared in the scene, where Krebs read
the book: He had been a good soldier (Hemingway 3). It looked like the character thought differently
about his war experience, and it was the text that helped to change his point of view. It is impossible to
claim Krebs was totally hopeless about his future: it looked like the man just did not start to think
about this issue. But it is obvious the character did not care too much about his future life: he would
gladly continue to maintain his passive daily regimen, if it was not for his parents criticism. So, while
Krebs did not give up completely, he was not reliant on his future life

Sports In The 1920s Essay
The 1920s has been called the Golden Age of American Sports. It also has been called the Age of the
Spectator. The United States had a strong economy for most of that decade. Many workers had more
leisure time. New and bigger stadiums and gymnasiums were built. The introduction of radio made it
easier for fans to keep up with their favorite teams. Newspapers increased their coverage of sports.
Improvements in roads made it possible for fans to travel to athletic events in distant cities. For the
first time, large numbers of Americans began to pay money to watch other people compete in athletic
contests.
Baseball was the national pastime in the 1920s. More people went to baseball games, more people
followed baseball, and more people played ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Notre Dame, coached by Knute Rockne, became the most famous college football team. Illinois star
Harold Red Grange became a household name. The best college teams could compete in bowl games,
such as the famous Rose Bowl, held in California.
Boxing was popular too. Heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey was almost as famous as Ruth. Horse
racing, golf, and tennis all had their fans. College basketball was still a young sport. Professional
football and basketball were minor sports.
North Carolina followed most of these trends, although professional boxing and horse racing events
were not widely held in the state because of their association with gambling.
Baseball was very popular in North Carolina in the 1920s. Many communities had professional minor
league teams. The piedmont league had teams in such cities as Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, High
Point, and Winston. Charlotte had a team in the South Atlantic League. Many teams players came
from the local communities. The best players could advance to the major leagues. Rivalries could be
fierce. Games between nearby cities, like Raleigh and Durham, could attract large crowds on
weekends or holidays such as the Fourth of July. Most colleges and high schools had teams. In fact,
college baseball was more popular than college basketball during the

Dr.Strangelove Film Analysis Essay example
Introduction
In 1964, Stanley Kubrick released Dr. Strangelove or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the
bomb to both critical and commercial praise. The historical context surrounding the film s release was
at the height of the Cold War, just over a year after the Cuban Missile Crisis as the Vietnam War was
beginning to escalate. While based on a more serious book, Red Alert by Peter George, it was soon
transformed into a black comedy that parodied the absurdity of global nuclear destruction and the
mentality of the Cold War. While not as overtly anti war as his third film Paths of Glory, Kubrick still
manages to show the ridiculousness of nuclear war while linking two basic male instincts together, sex
and the desire to kill. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ripper s paranoia about denying women his essence clarifies the connection between war and sex.
While Strangelove admits that women are essential to the survival of mankind, the motivations of
women are suspicious. Ripper s decision to attack Russia when he was unprovoked is symbolic of his
fear of being attacked. He has become paranoid that the same infringement he performs on others
might fall on him. The constant waiting creates a life of its own within his mind and a sense of deep
apprehension that the same people he has abused will take their revenge. In his office, Ripper is
usually shot in high contrast lighting. A lighting effect that is shown largely in melodramas and
tragedies to show, evil, fear and the unknown, all of which the character embodies. The overbearing
masculinity of most of the characters is balanced by Mandrake and the Presidents, who are decidedly
feminist when handling the conflicts and attitudes about war. Mandrake plays a passive role when
dealing with Ripper. He listens to Rippers outrageous ideas, being careful not to upset him. He is also
very reluctant to help fire Rippers machine gun and tries desperately to convince him to recall the
planes or hand over the code. The President tries every possible diplomatic solution to quell the
military problem. He speaks to the Russian Premier in a feminist manner to try and avoid
confrontation. His approach to the

`` Mexicans Begin Jogging `` And Small Town With One Road
Authors write what they know. A well written piece is based on experience and what is familiar to the
author. This is certainly the case for Gary Soto, a Mexican American poet. Soto has written many
poems and continues to do so today. Soto s poems discuss personal themes from his life like
experiencing racism and navigating stereotypes. These are themes that are evident in two of Soto s
poems, Mexicans Begin Jogging and Small Town with one Road. Both poems have a deep connection
to his life. Soto, a Mexican American man, grew up with a lot of negative experiences. His youth is
expressed in his poems where he shares past struggles in hopes of ending racism.
Gary Soto was born on the 12th of April, in 1952. He grew up in Fresno, California right across the
street from a pickle factory. Unfortunately for Soto, his parents were Mexican American laborers, and
his father was killed in an industrial accident when Soto was five (Biography in Context). This
tragedy, in combination with the fact that his parents were immigrants, greatly affected his childhood
and made it more difficult than it should have been. Soto struggled in school and had difficulty
applying himself to his studies. Despite his poor grades, it did not take too long for Gary Soto s
writing skills to become evident. As he grew older and attended high school, Soto was awarded the
Academy of American Poets Award along with the Discovery Nation Award. In fact, he won an award

Musical Theatre As A Theatrical Performance
Musical Theatre is a theatrical performance when the story is told through dialogue, song, and dance.
Back then, people didn t Snap Chat, Face Time or watch TV for entertainment; they would go to the
Theatre for a night out, first date, etc. To give a more definitive description of how musicals evolved,
affected, and influenced throughout history, a time line of major musicals that defined certain stages of
Musical Theatre will probably help people understand what makes it so unique.
Now a quick history lesson, Musical Theatre technically was created in 5th Century BCE Ancient
Greece, when staged comedies and tragedies would be told with a bit music and dance...but Musicals
didn t fully emerge into the world until the early 20th Century when the art form went to London,
England, and then to America, which formed the famous theatre district, Broadway. Now that the
basics are covered of where Musical Theatre came from, this paper is more about how Broadway
Musicals evolved into what they are in present day, how people have reacted to such performances,
and how musical theatre has impacted not only America, but also the world.
The first era of Musical Theatre actually started in the 1920 s 1930 s during the Great Depression.
This was a the first time there were musicals other than the fun, young, and enjoyable shows, the first
example of this would be the musical Show Boat, which premiered in December 1927, the music was
by Jerome Kern, book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II,

The Types Of Bone Tissue
Bone tissue is a connective tissue with an abundant matrix of intercellular substances that encloses
widely separated cells. The bone matrix is made up of an inorganic component known as mineral salts
that hardens the bone, and an inorganic component collagen fibres and an amorphous mixture called
ground substance, which gives the bone its strength (Tortora, Grabowski 2001). There are three types
of cells that can be found in the bone, they are osteoblasts, osteoclasts and osteocytes. Osteoblasts are
the cells that synthesizes a specialized organic material called osteoid which is important in the build
up of mineralized bone, osteoclasts are relatively larger multi nucleate cells made up of mitochondria
and lysosomes that are responsible for the continuous erosion of bones. Lastly the last cells found in
the bone are osteocytes, these are adult osteoblast cells found in the lacunae that have been surrounded
by mineralized matrix. (Thibodeau, Patton 2003).Osteocytes are responsible for maintaining
metabolism within the bone such as the exchange of nutrients with the blood.
There are four types of bones short bones, long bones, flat bones and irregular bones, which have
different characteristics so at to be able to function effectively. Long bones are greater in length than
width and is made up of varying numbers of ends and a shaft, an example is the humerus which is
located in the arm. Short (sesamond) bones are almost as broad as they are long, such bones can be

Nas The Space Shuttle Essay
On the icy morning of January 28, 1986, seven brave people boarded the Challenger space shuttle. All
of America sat around their televisions watching and waiting for the space shuttle to finally lift off.
One of the seven people aboard this shuttle was Christa McAuliffe, a teacher in the Teachers in Space
program and would have been the first civilian to go into space. Her students were invited to come to
NASA and watch. The engines roar sounded loudly and the shuttle finally left the ground. It was an
illuminating sight to see, until a flame started at the base of the shuttle. The space shuttle caught on
fire what seemed like instantly, and exploded within seconds. Due to this tragedy, the NASA space
program has made several improvements to prevent tragedies like this one from ever happening again
(Carreau). NASA may have made improvements, but the horrifying memory of this disaster will be
embedded in the minds of the people of America and Christa s class for the rest of their lives. The day
that the shuttle took off was not the original lift off date. The date that was originally planned was
January 25, 1986, but was cancelled due to weather conditions. This was the first cancellation of
many. On January 26, the weather condition was perfect, but due to the cancellation the day before,
the shuttle was not quite ready for takeoff yet. Just to make sure everything was ready, the flight was
rescheduled for the last time on January 28. Christa McAuliffe,

The Battle Of The Roman Empire By Caesar s Commentarii De...
In the unrelenting expansion of the Roman Empire, Caesar s Commentarii de Bello Gallico accounts
the engagements of the Gallic Wars, alongside his personal intrigue of Gallic people. Yet, this work
makes use of and conveys anthropological reports of a people approaching subjugation by Rome, the
Gauls. Furthermore, Asad s Introduction; Barlow s Noble Gauls and their other in Caesar s
Propaganda ; G. Boys Stones The Recovery of Primitive Wisdom in Early Stoicism; Feuchtwang s
The Colonial Formation of British Social Anthropology ; and C. Kraus, Bellum Gallcium, attests to
the pedagogical function of such work. Therefore, I contend the Bellum Gallicum, presents as a
didactic text―in regards to Caesar, who propels the Stoic theory of cultural maturation, informed by
the pseudo scientific principles of earlier philosophers, namely, Posidonius and Seneca the Younger. In
addition, Caesar exploits the primal nature of Roman subjects to further both his and Rome s agenda.
Thereby, formulating a handbook, intended to instruct future administrators in conquering, governing,
and accordingly, in empire building.
1) JC s characterization of the Gallic character and their knowledge of the things of culture, e.g. battle
tactics, writing, trade
Caesar, during his office as proconsul of Gaul, authored the Bellum Gallicum, in avoidance of his
aristocratic enemies and their persecution; in effort to gain the support of the plebeians, this work was
relayed directly to the Roman

  • 2. Example Of Naturalistic Observation A. A naturalistic observation is a form of research that takes place in the participant s own environment. This could be the participant s workplace or a child s home. Another form of observation that was also conducted was covert observations is an empirical research were the participants don t know when they are being observed. Covert methods in general has always been contentious, on the basis that you can mislead the participant of the study. However, they offer access to information that would otherwise be nearly impossible. Regarding this, the subject that I ve decided to study was an biracial female that is athletic, roughly 5 7, dark colored hair, brown eyes, ages between 16 17, and is a senior at Minnetonka High School. The specific behavior of interest was the amount of socializing with classmates when teacher asks to share their views about the topic in class. B. Day 1: The subject look very disinterested at class. While the teacher was discussing about the code of conduct in class regarding cell phones the subject was on her smartphone. The teacher made us repeat the words to our classmates. She sat there and still proceeded to look at her phone. She doesn t seem to be interested of the class. Day 2: Mr. teacher gives the students the first 5 minutes of class to write in their journals. The teacher also gives the students prompts on the board if they don t know what they want to write. While most of the students are sitting there answering the prompt on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Edward Taylor Vs Anne Bradstreet Essay Edward Taylor and Anne Bradstreet are two 17th century Puritan writers. Very so like most Puritans, their works reflect their beliefs. Even though the writers are Puritans, they share some similarities while having some differences. Taylor s works have a single focus which is totally religion based; on the other hand, Bradstreet s works have a multiple focus of a personal level and of God. Alternatively, both writers highly respect God. Bradstreet uses metaphors and analogies of her own experiences and struggles with life to show God s grace. In her poem, Here Follows Some Verses upon the Burning of Our House , Bradstreet uses her skills to illustrate the destruction of her home and belongings. Like some may mourn the loss of their belongings, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She personifies the poem as a child Thou ill formed offspring of my feeble brain (Line 1). The offspring poem is horrible and ill formed. When she first writes her book, it is not good and she does not want it to be published. Throughout the poem, she describes the process of her book being published and her as a poet accepting her work. As for Edward Taylor, he writes with a narrower focus and that is a focus on God. In all of his poems, he centers on God, but he is best known for his great poem, Huswifery. In this poem, the speaker compares God making him into a better man to a woman s spinning wheel. The poem opens with the pleading statement, Make me, O Lord, Thy spinning wheel complete (Line 1). The speaker wants God to take control and thread him into a man of his Holiness and righteousness. The speaker will then be a creation from God himself. Hence, these two 17th century poets share similarities, but not in their style of writing. Both poets share their beliefs of Puritanism, but Anne Bradstreet also, gives readers a glimpse of herself. Moreover, they share similarities of their Puritan backgrounds, but there is not much similarity in the style of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay On Line Of Credit What level of committed line of credit do we need, and consider how we have been managing working capital in the past and potential growth in revenues that translates into working capital investment? You need to address the considerations in managing the cash conversion cycle better. A business line of credit is one that gives capital to meet a whole variety of business needs. When business draw on their business line of credit to get more working capital, buy inventory, handle seasonal cash flow gaps, pay off other debts, or address almost any other business emergency or opportunity. However, this metric looks at the amount of time needed to sell inventory, the amount of time needed to collect receivables and the length of time the company is afforded to pay its bills without incurring penalties. In fact, most business acquires inventory on credit, which results in accounts payable. A business can also sell products on credit, which results in accounts receivable. However, cash is not involved until the business pays the accounts payable and collects the accounts receivable. Therefore, the cash conversion cycle measures the time between the outlay of cash and the cash recovery. The cash conversion cycle cannot be observed directly in cash flows, which are affected by financing and investment activities as well; rather, the cycle refers to the time span between a firm s disbursing and collecting cash (Mueller, (2017) Should we keep existing cash on the balance sheet for future mergers and acquisitions or should we consider using some of these funds for supporting our short term line of credit needs? The plight of these native peoples has been ignored and many times erased from the American conscience. They have struggled for acknowledgment, they have fought for equality and they have gone to battle for respect. Luis Valdez s play, Los Vendidos, is just one of many contributions to this effort. A powerfully moving play, Los Vendidos, or the sell outs , is a piece created to gain acknowledgement, heighten awareness and to create a sense of camaraderie amongst the people fighting in the Chicano Movement of the late 1960 s and 70 s. She is a secretary working for the governor s office that maintains a proper yet pompous American accent, and her hair is dyed a shade of platinum blond. She personifies the American aspiration to de Mexicanize the Mexican Americans. As she shops for a suitable used Mexican model the civic indifference and racism that the Mexican Americans have been forced to combat becomes progressively more apparent. Women, who have always accounted for half of the population, have not historically been recognized or respected for their contributions to society. In the past, all women have had to struggle against a chauvinistic world, but for minority women the fight has been even harder. For Mexican America women they have had two strikes against them in the eyes of America, not only were they Mexican and therefore prone to what those stereotypes entailed, but they were also women and therefore not deserving of any power or respect. • 13. Comparison Of Rudyard Kipling Rudyard Kipling was born to Alice MacDonald and John Lockwood Kipling on December 30, 1865 in Bombay, India. Most of his education took place in England where his parents were from. Before getting into writing his own literature, Kipling was a sub editor at the CMG, The Civl and Military Gazette. He worked for several years before beginning to write. Farther into his career as a writer and poet, Kipling wrote the poem The White Man s Burden. In this poem, he attempts to teach readers that you should not do what is right only for praise and glory, but instead because it is the right thing to do. Kipling also criticizes the U.S. government for being too timid to go to war. In the song DNA. by Kendrick Lamar, parts of the song criticize others for not taking chances and for being too scared. Both Rudyard Kipling s The White Man s Burden and Kendrick Lamar s DNA. criticize others for excessive timidness and their failure to take chances. In The White Man s Burden, Rudyard Kipling attempts to teach readers the importance of doing what is right even when there is lots of hate and no praise. In lines 19 and 20, Kipling mentions that when countries go to war for the good of their people, they still receive lots of hate. The blame of those ye better/ The hate of those ye guard (Kipling 19,20). This is saying that governments are often loathed by countries whom they have bested in battle and also receive hate from the very people they were trying to help. Along with this message, Kipling also attempts to criticize governments for being too timid and fearful of war. In line 26, Kipling writes a line that is a little humorous but also very deep. Have done with the childish days (Kipling 26). Here, Kipling says the way the government is so fearful and timid is a childlike quality. He believes that they need to be much stronger and brave if they want to stay in power. Kendrick Lamar attempts to produce a similar message to listeners in his hit song, DNA. Both Rudyard Kipling in The White Man s Burden, and Kendrick Lamar in DNA. criticize a similar issue in society. In D.N.A, Kendrick Lamar hopes to motivate others to take more risks and get over any fears they may have. Through this song, Lamar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They tried to fight Austria Hungary to create a Pan Slavic nation, but the Slavs were only given Serbia and a few other Balkan territories. Bosnia and Herzegovina, however, were annexed by Austria Hungary. This takeover by Austria Hungary ultimately led to a nineteen year old Bosnian Serb firing two gunshots that would end the lives of the Habsburg successor along with his wife, and change European history forever. In most of the regions, the chief concern for societies is to access the water for agriculture and not the physical accessibility of water. For deprived societies, the harvesting of water fail to offer any cost effective solution for gaining access to the water. Need for a Cohesive Approach: The volume of runoff along with its occurrence pattern decides how much surplus amount a particular water harvesting structure can store. A catchment of one kilometer square experiencing an overall yearly runoff of 20 cm can produce a surface flow of 0.20 MCM. Generally, the actual pattern decides how much amount could be stored. Short duration, high concentration rainfalls are normally seen in parched and semi arid parts of India, giving rise to flash floods. During main monsoon days, most of the runoff takes place, leading to less proficiency of collection of such runoffs thereby decreasing the capacity of the structures developed for the same. However, if, large systems are built to store high runoff concentrations, it helps in increasing the proficiency of collection of runoffs, which leads to expanding cost per unit volume of water stored. That s why it is argued that, if collected water is directly diverted to the plants for use in parched areas, then only runoff harvesting should be implemented. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 19. The Root Cause Of The Civil War Slavery, as Abraham Lincoln often noted, was the root cause of the Civil War. Tensions over slavery dated back to the contradictory nature of the American Revolution of 1776 that resulted in a republic simultaneously committed to freedom for whites and bondage for blacks (Barney W., p. 61). Within years North and South reached the point at which compromise was not possible. At that time Civil War had been started. In this paper we would analyze the causes of the Civil War and advocate the thesis that slavery was the cause of the Civil War. As we already noted in the 1800s expediency of slavery was disputed. While industrial North almost abandoned bondage, by the early 19th century, slavery was almost exclusively confined to the South, home to more than 90 percent of American blacks (Barney W., p. 61). Agrarian South needed free labor force in order to stimulate economic growth. In particular, whites exploited blacks in textile production. This conditioned the differences in economic and social development of the North and South, and opposing viewpoints on the social structure. Northerners now saw slavery as a barbaric relic from the past, a barrier to secular and Christian progress that contradicted the ideals of the Declaration of Independence and degraded the free labor aspirations of Northern society (Barney W., p. 63). In 1830s some faithful activists like W. Garrison, Tappan brothers, T. Weld and others have made several publications advocating antislavery movement and claiming that slavery is a major sin. They give birth to the movement of abolitionism and win over many white Americans to their camp. Main goal of the early abolitionists was to create a better society through reforms and they engaged in a battle to convince their fellow Americans that it was morally wrong to keep other humans in bondage. In order to realize a better and more righteous republic, they believed, the institution of slavery had to be rejected (Harpen R., Dal Lago E., p. 296). Many abolitionists appealed to abolish slavery immediately as they believed all people should be equal in rights. The abolitionists demanded immediate emancipation without payment to slaveowners. What Is Tacit Knowledge Approach The tacit knowledge approach highlights understanding the sorts of knowledge that individuals in an organization have, moving people to transfer knowledge within an organization and managing key individuals as knowledge creators and carriers. One of the significant capabilities of competition is managing perceived intangible assets such as knowledge in organization. Besides managing this intangible asset of enterprises, another vital issue is considered as diffusion of knowledge within the organization. Knowledge resources can be divided into at least two different components depending on the possibility of structuring and coding the knowledge. The possibility to code and the externalization of knowledge is of essential importance to the diffusion of it according to some researchers, while other again considers the codifying unnecessary or of minor importance. • 33. The Types Of Bone Tissue Bone tissue is a connective tissue with an abundant matrix of intercellular substances that encloses widely separated cells. The bone matrix is made up of an inorganic component known as mineral salts that hardens the bone, and an inorganic component collagen fibres and an amorphous mixture called ground substance, which gives the bone its strength (Tortora, Grabowski 2001). There are three types of cells that can be found in the bone, they are osteoblasts, osteoclasts and osteocytes. Osteoblasts are the cells that synthesizes a specialized organic material called osteoid which is important in the build up of mineralized bone, osteoclasts are relatively larger multi nucleate cells made up of mitochondria and lysosomes that are responsible for the continuous erosion of bones. Lastly the last cells found in the bone are osteocytes, these are adult osteoblast cells found in the lacunae that have been surrounded by mineralized matrix. (Thibodeau, Patton 2003).Osteocytes are responsible for maintaining metabolism within the bone such as the exchange of nutrients with the blood. There are four types of bones short bones, long bones, flat bones and irregular bones, which have different characteristics so at to be able to function effectively. Long bones are greater in length than width and is made up of varying numbers of ends and a shaft, an example is the humerus which is located in the arm. Short (sesamond) bones are almost as broad as they are long, such bones can be found ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Nas The Space Shuttle Essay On the icy morning of January 28, 1986, seven brave people boarded the Challenger space shuttle. All of America sat around their televisions watching and waiting for the space shuttle to finally lift off. One of the seven people aboard this shuttle was Christa McAuliffe, a teacher in the Teachers in Space program and would have been the first civilian to go into space. Her students were invited to come to NASA and watch. The engines roar sounded loudly and the shuttle finally left the ground. It was an illuminating sight to see, until a flame started at the base of the shuttle. The space shuttle caught on fire what seemed like instantly, and exploded within seconds. Due to this tragedy, the NASA space program has made several improvements to prevent tragedies like this one from ever happening again (Carreau). NASA may have made improvements, but the horrifying memory of this disaster will be embedded in the minds of the people of America and Christa s class for the rest of their lives. The day that the shuttle took off was not the original lift off date. The date that was originally planned was January 25, 1986, but was cancelled due to weather conditions. This was the first cancellation of many. On January 26, the weather condition was perfect, but due to the cancellation the day before, the shuttle was not quite ready for takeoff yet. Just to make sure everything was ready, the flight was rescheduled for the last time on January 28. Christa McAuliffe, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the unrelenting expansion of the Roman Empire, Caesar s Commentarii de Bello Gallico accounts the engagements of the Gallic Wars, alongside his personal intrigue of Gallic people. Yet, this work makes use of and conveys anthropological reports of a people approaching subjugation by Rome, the Gauls. Furthermore, Asad s Introduction; Barlow s Noble Gauls and their other in Caesar s Propaganda ; G. Boys Stones The Recovery of Primitive Wisdom in Early Stoicism; Feuchtwang s The Colonial Formation of British Social Anthropology ; and C. Kraus, Bellum Gallcium, attests to the pedagogical function of such work. Therefore, I contend the Bellum Gallicum, presents as a didactic text―in regards to Caesar, who propels the Stoic theory of cultural maturation, informed by the pseudo scientific principles of earlier philosophers, namely, Posidonius and Seneca the Younger. In addition, Caesar exploits the primal nature of Roman subjects to further both his and Rome s agenda. Thereby, formulating a handbook, intended to instruct future administrators in conquering, governing, and accordingly, in empire building. 1) JC s characterization of the Gallic character and their knowledge of the things of culture, e.g. battle tactics, writing, trade Caesar, during his office as proconsul of Gaul, authored the Bellum Gallicum, in avoidance of his aristocratic enemies and their persecution; in effort to gain the support of the plebeians, this work was relayed directly to the Roman ...
