Interpreting Dreams Essay
Most of us have experienced a dream, be it a nightmare or a pleasant walk in a forest. It was
frequently believed that dreams encompass a coded message that might be expressing our hidden
wishes, things that happened in the past or even predict the future. In the past, there have been many
attempts to unravel the secret hidden behind the dreams and so far the world came up with three main
theories of interpreting the dreams (Freudian, Jungian and Cognitive)(Wade, Travis 1998). In this
essay I will attempt to analyze my dream by using each of the theories mentioned above, then
compare the outcomes as well as their possible connections to my life and in the end determine, which
one of these theories is the most accurate and thus as a laic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

However, Sigmund Freud used as well the technique of the free association in order to determine the
real meaning of the dream, because sometimes it was not possible to do so by applying the dream
work functions (condensation, composite, displacement, representation) only (Freud 1900).
To be more specific about the process of analyzing any dream, Freud thought that only those objects
and symbols are of significant importance that we forget as soon as few days pass by and our
unconscious censor has enough time to erase them from our memory (Freud 1900). When I have
compared the two versions of my dream (the one that I put down immediately after waking up and the
other one that was written after four days) I found out that the following things and objects were
omitted:
People that were in the boat with me
Deer around the arbor
Six bullets (that I have shot the pig with)
The fact, that these objects were omitted signified a fact that they are (from Freudian point of view) of
significant importance. People that were in the boat with me were the ones I like and ask for an advice
or help. The fact that they were in the boat with me could mean that I need them or perhaps that I will
need them sometimes in the future. However, we can explain it also in another way. Perhaps they are
just slowing my boat down and therefore I cannot go towards

Compare And Contrast Old Delhi And New Delhi
Delhi is the capital of India and it is really a multidimensional city. The brilliant and antiquated
landmarks stand as a confirmation to its charming past, while the sparkling shopping centers, metro
trains, and swanky structures, parade India s status as one of the world s most noteworthy developing
financial superpowers. Come to think of Delhi s design, authenticity as a great and historic city,
creative aspects, and the culinary enjoyments to douse up its shading, dynamic quality and multi
faceted soul. Delhi embodies two altogether different universes: Old Delhi and New Delhi. The overly
complex lanes of Old Delhi, with their ancient mosques, landmarks and posts, portray the city s
Mughal past. Lutyens New Delhi, with its lush greenery ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

since centuries and some of these like the Ghantewala Halwai are extremely old. You can get so many
different cuisine, such as Mughlai, Thai, Moroccan, Chinese, Lebanese, and so on. No dinner here can
be finished without a kulfi, which is an Indian adaptation of frozen yogurt, or the paan, a betel leaf
mouth freshener.
Pretty much every lane in Delhi has something to offer. The best street food is accessible in Old Delhi
s Chandni Chowk. Check out the extraordinary paranthas of the Paranthe Wali Gali, or yummy tikki

Cryptography Is Art Of Secret Writing
1.
The term cryptography develops from a Greek word which implies hidden or secret writing.
Cryptography is art of secret writing. The primary service provided by cryptography is capability to
send information between two participants in an effective way that halts others from reading it. This
type of cryptography provides other services namely,
integrity checking→ reassuring the recipient regarding a new message in which the message doesn t
seem to be altered viewing that it was actually given by a legal source.
Authentication →verifying someone s (or something s) identity.
Messages within its original form is named plain text or clear text. The hidden info is generally known
as cipher text. The procedure for producing cipher text from plain text is named encryption. The
reverse of encryption is known as decryption. While cryptographers invent clever secret codes, crypt
analysts plan to break these codes. Both these disciplines constantly make sure to keep in advance of
one another. Ultimately, the successes of the cryptographers rests on the cryptography systems are
likely to involve both an algorithm as well as a secret value. Here the secret value is called as key. The
purpose for having a key alongside an algorithm is the idea that it can be problematic to keep devising
new algorithms which allows reversible scrambling of data, and it will be hard to quickly explain a
newly devised algorithm with the person you d be willing to start communicating securely.

I Am Lying On The Bathroom Floor
It s just one cut, two cut, three cut, four, and before you know it, I m lying on the bathroom floor. As I
lay in the floor in a pool of my own blood, I think. I think about how your life would be if I wasn t
here to bother you. Do I annoy you? I wouldn t be surprised if I did. I think about the many ways I
could kill myself. I might just do it. It s not like you would care, Will you even realize I m gone the
little girl who was always happy, that went to Sunday school, that cried when she scraped her knee, or
didn t get her way now cuts her wrists to cope with the pain? No, you won t. Do you want to know
why? Because the mask that I put on, you should know this one by memory by now, the one with the
bright sparkling hazel eyes, the dimples, and the really big and fake smile? Yeah that one well it seems
to hide things pretty well, you probably didn t even notice how fake my smile became over the years.
Let s imagine I did kill myself. Mom walked into the house after having a stressful day at work to find
that no chores have been done. she yelled my name once, twice, six times but I never came out. Now
she s worried, she walked up to my door and goes to open the door, but it s locked. She went go get
the spare key to my door and open it. Not knowing what to expect she opened the door and screamed,
there I am dangling from a rope that was tied to the ceiling fan. Her immediate reaction is to run up to

Hindu Authority
single source of authority. The word Hindu is not a Sanskrit word or nor mentioned in any of the
ancient major texts of India. The word Hindu is to believe to originate from the ancient Persians. The
Persians who shared some of the culture with the Indian sub continent used to call the Indus River as
Sindhu. Due to some in linguistic problems, they could not pronounce the letter S in their language
and started pronouncing the Sindhu as Hindu. The Ancient Greeks and the rest of the world followed
the same word pattern calling the Indus River Valley people as Hindus. The Hindu worship is centered
on the worship of different gods. The different gods that are worship names are as follows: Shiva,

Thus Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva are not without connection. They are the same being that have three
different aspects, but the Supreme Being of the gods is Brahma. There are also other names that are
recognized and worshipped in the Hindu religion. For instance the name Lord Ganesha is called upon
and is represented as the head of an elephant, which represents the power of the Supreme Being who
removes obstacles and ensures success in human work. Hindus worship Lord Ganesha before doing
any activity. The World Encyclopedia of Eastern religions records and states that Lord Ganesha is the
first son of Shiva and Parvati. The portrayal of Lord Ganesha is as a blend of humans and animal
parts, which symbolizes the ideas of perfection as formed by Hindu sages. The goddess Durga
represents the power of the Supreme Being, who preserves moral order. The Sanskrit word for Durga
actually means a fort or a place that is protected and thus is difficult to reach. Durga is known as the
Divine mother, who protects humans from evil by destroying evil forces. Durga also has many other
names like Parvati, Ambika, and Kali. She has eighteen arms and in each arm she carries weapons to

The Pregnancy Of A Foetus Diagnosed With Down Syndrome
Discuss the challenges facing parents today in deciding to terminate or continue with the pregnancy of
a foetus diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
Introduction
Having a child comes with not only positive experiences, but also pressure and other adjustment
matters. If you are told that your unborn child is diagnosed with Down Syndrome, your perspectives
and concerns may change significantly. Known as a genetic disorder that is estimated to occur in 1 out
of every 650 1000 live births (Bittles Glasson, 2004), receiving a positive diagnosis of Down
Syndrome can be very overwhelming for the parents. Prenatal diagnosis and screening are
controversial when we refer to ethical considerations, but the benefits that they provide are
undeniable. Prenatal tests do not only facilitate choices through information provision, but also allow
the parents to recognise and prepare for the challenges that their unborn child and their family have to
face upon their decision making. Whether it is the trauma and grief of abortion or the pressure and
difficulty of raising a child with disability, the challenges that they have to face will have a significant
impact on their life and it may create new shifts and change their family dynamics forever.
Aspects and arguments
Down Syndrome (DS) or trisomy 21 is a condition where the third copy of chromosome 21 disturbs
the expression of all DNA in the genome (Study revises cause of down syndrome, 2014, p.1). This
genetic condition is responsible for

Prenatal Testing
Prenatal testing can help woman identify any unknown health problems that can endanger their
unborn child that may or may not be treatable. There are four main processes, non invasive and
invasive, that will be evaluated being ultrasound, amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sample and
cordocentesis. Prenatal testing is used to detect changes in the foetus s genes or chromosomes. They
distinguish chromosomal abnormalities, monogenetic diseases caused by single gene mutations and
polygenetic diseases that are caused by mutations in several genes. Reasons for a karyotype analysis
or invasive prenatal testing are maternal age as the probability of chromosomal abnormalities increase
with maternal age, if an existing child of the couple s has a chromosomal ... Show more content on

DNA is gathered and analysed within 24 hours, which abnormalities can be identified and used to
make more acceptable decisions about selective termination of the pregnancy.
Foetal blood sampling is the last method and known as cordocentesis or percutaneous umbilical cord
sampling (PUBS). This procedure is when a needle is being inserted into the umbilical cord and foetal
blood is taken and evaluated for metabolism and hematologic abnormalities (blood disorders). The use
of cordocentesis is decreasing since technology can now provide the same information from tests that
have smaller risk of miscarriage, such as amniocentesis and CVS, with limitations of structural
chromosomal abnormalities smaller than the achievable optical resolution to be undetected.

Alice s Journey Down The Rabbit Hole
Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll endures as one of the most iconic children s books of all time.
It remains one of the most ambiguous texts to decipher as Alice s adventures in Wonderland have
created endless critical debate as to whether we can deduce any true literary meaning, or moral
implication from her journey down the rabbit hole. Alice s station as a seven year old Victorian child
creates an interesting construct within the novel as she attempts to navigate this magical parallel plain,
yet retain her Victorian sensibilities and learn from experience as she encounters new creatures and
life lessons. Therefore, this essay will focus on the debate as to whether Alice is the imaginatively
playful child envisaged by the Romantics, or a Victorian child whose imagination has been stunted by
her education and upbringing. The earlier governing Puritan faith perceived childhood to be a perilous
period, and believed children to be inherently sinful; consequential of the fall , which saw a
widespread influential religious implication in literature of the time. Children s literature was therefore
geared toward the instruction of children, concerned with providing role models to instruct their
behaviour, and was preoccupied with the notion of saving the child s soul. In children s literature the
notion and construct of childhood became an influential force...it became associated with
freedom...and play; focusing on educating children malleablly.

Adopt-A-Highway Case Study
I am absolutely certain that everyone at one point in their life has passed by a littered beach, park or
road. There are critical steps and guidelines that must be taken in order to Adopt a Highway, such as
applying for the program, learning the rules, using the correct equipment and taking the necessary
precautions.
Before cleaning the community, you may want to apply to the Adopt a Highway program. A program
runned by the Department of Transportation (DOT). There is no fee included, although there is a
contract, contracts can be long as 2 to 5 years. The roadway must be at least 2 miles long, which has

The department of transportation will first award the Adopt a Highway recognition panels (road sign)
made specifically for that roadway section, acknowledging the Adopt a Highway program and the
volunteer name(s). The name(s) on the panel may be limited to two people, a family, group, or an
organization. The signs will make citizens of your community be aware of who is keeping the
community clean. The panel will be posted at each end of the designated roadway, which benefits to
know the area that has to be cleansed. Trash bags will also be given, you will notice there will be a set
of 2 different colors, or they may be labeled. For example, if given a yellow and a green set, the green
set of trash bags will be for recycling materials and the yellow bags will be for the trash. Safety gloves
may also be distributed, if not, personal gloves may need to be used or bought, same goes for any
other participants. On the other hand, every single participant will be given a safety vest, it is
mandatory that all volunteers wear a safety vest when cleaning the roadway. Moreover if requested, a
caution/slow down road sign may be handed out to one sign per group. In addition, at pick up all
volunteers will be expected to watch a safety video regarding safety guidelines and rules. There will

Class Struggle
Introduction Class struggle is the active expression of a theoretical class conflict looked at from any
kind of socialist perspective. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, leading ideologists of communism,
wrote The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggle . Marx s notion of class
has nothing to do with social class in the sociological sense of upper, middle and lower classes (which
are often defined in terms of quantitative income or wealth). Instead, in an age of capitalism, Marx
describes an economic class. Membership in a class is defined by one s relationship to the means of
production, i.e., one s position in the social structure that characterizes capitalism. Marx talks mainly
about two classes that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
the floods! This dimension of Bangladesh s reality is much more presentable and in tune with what the
viewer wants to see. In addition, floods or monsoons are a lot easier to explain away as inevitable than
are riots or strikes. For the bourgeoisie, what would be the point in shaking the dominant image of a
country made of too much water and too many poor people ? However, it is not possible to completely
black out the existence of class struggle and some information gets through. The following is a resume
of news clips from various newspapers in December 1994: On December 4th 1994 thousands of
poorly paid and poorly equipped police officers, auxiliary militiamen (Ansars) mutinied, taking over
two barracks, 22 officers hostage and managing to take control of the headquarters and training centre
in the capital, Dacca. After 4 days, by which time the mutiny had spread to other provinces, repression
began in earnest. The army s special forces attacked the occupies barracks, using very significant
measures: artillery guns, rockets, helicopters, gas, armored cars... with an official toll of 4 deaths and
50 wounded. The first ideological image is therefore shattered: there are more than just disarmed,
ragged, soaking wet beggars in Bangladesh! A different technique is now needed to explain events
and, this time, the media choose to fall back on the traditional explanation of struggle between official
and opposition parties. Indeed, the mutiny in December 1994 in

Death Troopers Argumentative Essay
People have been interested in Sci Fi and Horror for years, Death Troopers adds both together to
create a new story using Person vs Nature to create problems for the characters. The hook relates to
the essay because it explains the topic of this essay. Death Troopers is a Sci Fi Horror book, so it
mentions things that will scare the characters. There are four things in the story that relate to Person vs
Nature. For the next four paragraphs I will be talking about how virus, creatures, ship, and escape
relate to Person vs Nature creating problems. The virus in the story is not a contamination, so it does
not show up on machines. When the search team checked the ship they got no contamination readings

Historiography Of The 1940s
The collapse of the military junta signified the decline of the traditional interpretative schemes and
frameworks for the 1940s that dominated the domestic historiography for over thirty years. This
traditional approach is encapsulated in the theory of the three rounds of the quasi deliberate
communist attempt to seize power by force of arms in 1943 1944, in December 1944 and in 1946
1949. The decade of the 1970s saw the emergence of a young generation of scholars who introduced a
revisionist school of thought and marked a paradigm shift in the academic discourse on the 1940s.
This generation, which continued to dominate the historiography of the 1940s until the end of the cold
war period, questioned many of the traditional interpretations

The Origin Of Moral Sense By Charles Darwin
Charles Darwin is famous for his theories regarding evolution and natural selection. In his 1871 book,
Charles Darwin explains the origin of morality through studying the behavior of various species. In
his essay, Origin of the Moral Sense Charles Darwin uses his theory of evolution to explain the origin
of morality through the study of animals, specifically mammals. Darwin s main theory of the Origin of
the Moral Sense is that humans have natural social instincts which in turn gives them a sense of
naturally occurring morality. Darwin s ideas surrounding morality and a natural social instinct have
been echoed and added to by philosophers, almost a century later, David Barash and Robert Trivers.
In his essay, the Origin of Moral Sense Charles Darwin explains the origin of morality and its relation
to evolution. Darwin argues, that like animals, humans are descendants of natural selection. Darwin
argues that not only our (meaning humans and animals) mental capacity evolved, so did our own
moral sense. Darwin s first point in the Origin of Moral Sense is that ethics occurs naturally amongst
animals. Darwin believes that animals have a sense of sympathy and need to do the right thing
ingrained in them. Although Darwin believes it is instinctual to do good , it does not apply to the same
species, only species of the same kind.
Darwin s second point argues that past actions that are good will be ingrained within ourselves, so we
will repeat the same action again. Darwin

Internal Stress In Law Enforcement
There are many stress categories that law enforcement will face when it comes to performing their
occupational duties. The first stress category is internal or individual stress. Stress can happen at any
time especially on the internal side as there is always a chance of an officer worrying about the
competency to handle an assignment. If the assignment they are working on is causing individual
stress the feelings of helplessness and vulnerability starts to happen when they feel the pressure of
trying to finish an assignment. Officers start to feel the internal stress that everyone is counting on
them to get the assignment they are working on in perfect working order. Since crime never sleeps the
assignments that make officers internally stress over each assignment critical which can lead to more
time being spent on duty rather than off duty. The dearth of time for personal development can
translate into divorce, suicide, alcoholism, or burnout . The stress of the job and having a family takes
its toll but those who can cope with the internal stress of their job and family are the one that can have
both at the same time. Although there are some factors of internal stress that can lead officers to
eventually end their career with no family, no friends other than a few cops and no outside interests
Officers that have internal stress can have feelings that their trapped in their profession because the
internal stress of being a law enforcement officers is just to

The Secret Of NIMH Film Analysis
The Secret of NIMH plays with many different filming techniques in order to tell an amazing story.
The story is centered around a widowed mouse, Mrs. Brisby, who s child has fallen ill. Timmy, one of
her children, has fallen ill with ammonia and cannot be moved until he recovers. This is a problem
through because it s almost time for the farmer to begin plowing the fields. If the family does not
move they will be killed by the tractor. The tension and emotion of this film is excellently enhanced
by the lighting, music, shot length and color of each scene. Early on it is plain to see what Mrs. Brisby
s goals are, she wishes to protect her children. The harsh reality of their world starts with the inciting
incident: moving day. Moving day is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The music increases in tempo and becomes louder in order to raise tension. Time is running out as her
home begins to sink. The tempo of the music acts as a clock, ticking away the time Mrs. Brisby and
the rats have to save the children. It mimics her own heart beat as she becomes fearful for their lives.
Once she uses the magic of the stone the music goes from being a terrible thunder to a voice of
triumph. The change in music makes the audience feel the tension release by going from a loud
foreboding sound to a quiet gentle sound. Mrs. Brisby will save her children and everything will be all
right. The lighting also cues the audience in on when the danger has passed. Along with the music the
shots become increasingly low lighted. The light goes dim and gradually becomes darker with every
shot. Once the home had sunken all the way down the light on Mrs. Brisby fades. It is as if her very
life, her will and hope vanish at the presumed loss of her children. The lighting shows the audience
what she feels: sadness, hopelessness, despire and lost. When she uses the stone and its magic the shot
is abruptly interrupted by rays of bright light, turning the scene from low key lighting to high key
lighting. The light is Mrs. Brisby s bravery, returning her hope and allowing her the will to save her
family. It is that beam of light that inspires hope in Mrs. Brisby and she uses it to pull her home from
the mud. It is when she faces the darkest times that her bravery shines the brightest, both visually and

Google, Its Mission, And Its Business Model Essay
Briefly describe Google, its mission, and its business model.
Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Bin. Founders Page and Bin met at Stanford
University in 1995. By 1996 they built a search engine (initially called BackRub) that used links to
determine the importance of individual web pages. Google Inc. was born in 1998, when Sun co
founder Andy Bechtolsheim wrote a check for $100,000 to that entity which until then didn t exist.
Since the start, they ve focused on providing the best user experience possible. Google is a web search
engine owned by Google Inc. Google the most used search engine on the World Wide Web handling
billions of customers every day. Google Search provides several features beyond searching for words.
These include time zones, stock quotes, maps, weather forecasts, and sports scores. Google s mission
is to organize the world s material and make it reachable and useful. Google founders are into building
a business model based on a way of monetizing an activity for which we had been only too happy to
stop paying. It is this monetization of dangling value that enables a business to sustain itself, compete
for market share, and grow. They found a way to be a sole provider of something else in value chain
that met its consumer needs. Google generated about $21 billion in revenue last year. The other side of
Google s hugely successful business plan is innovation.

Introduction
Brand management is basically a plan to uplift and to promote the respected brand in the market. It is
necessary to build a good brand among several competitors in the market because it leads to
development of a relationship with the target market. Target market is a very essential as well as
crucial aspect for a company as it decides the overall growth of the company. Brand management is a
broad concept and it has its own elements that actually give a meaning to it. Without these elements, a
brand cannot exist. These elements are brand name, brand logo, packaging, character etc.
These are some of the most important elements of brand management and they have a direct impact on
the functioning of the company as well as on the brand itself. Brand management seeks to build an
emotional connectivity with the consumer by managing the tangible and intangible characteristics of
brand.

Big Bang Research Paper
The whole universe began with the big bang/big bang model which explains the theory holding that in
just a couple seconds the universe originated, from the instant explosion of a extremely small nebulae.
Approximately 15 billion years ago all matter in the universe today existed in an incredibly hot and
dense state, from which it expanded and cooled slowly coalescing into stars and galaxies we have
today. As the big bang was taking place only the lightest of elements would be able to form (hydrogen
and helium) seeing that due to such a tremendous extent of heat the first elements would have to form
under the condition that they are not neutral atoms or atomic nuclei. Roughly 14 billion years ago the
first galaxies started to form, soon after ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Penzias and Wilson discovered Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation which is the the radiation
that fills the universe and can be detected in every direction. The COBE and WMAP probes were
satellites launched by NASA to map the background microwave radiation and measure temperature
differences across the sky. These two satellites in particular confirm that CMBR is in fact true. Today
the universe is constantly expanding and is expected to continue doing so for forever. The galaxies
outside of our own this means that no matter what galaxy you happen to be in, all the other galaxies
are moving away from you. There is several theories of how the universe will end but i support the
thought that it will keep expanding until it reaches a sudden halt then forcing it to collapse on

Roxy Palace Casino Analysis
There is an issue with the Roxy Palace Casino and their affiliate program that has caused the casino to
be blacklisted or considered rogue . This issue has been a concern since the middle of April 2013, in
which the affiliate program has been closing accounts of their affiliate partners. Claiming lack of
promotion as the reason behind the account closures, the Roxy Affiliates management responded that
the shut out affiliates were no longer feasible and not effective bringing in new players. As a result
Roxy Palace has been placed on the Blacklisted and Rogue casinos resource, because their claims
were unfounded and untrue. Many of the casino webmasters who have had their accounts closed had
referred numerous customers to Roxy Palace over the

Human Aggression In Frankenstein And The Modern Prometheus...
The last full novel we read, Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley, touches on
human aggression much more directly than Candide or The Overcoat. Frankenstein, or, The Modern
Prometheus starts with a create but ends with a monster. The creature suffers an extraordinary amount
in an amazingly short timespan. It is essentially the not funny version of Candide. Initially, I felt
extreme pity for the creature. His only family left him (i.e., Victor Frankenstein) and he had little
knowledge of his world. Even after murdering, I still pitied the creature. Victor, in my opinion, was
the real killer and was guilty of negligence that lead to someone dying. Shelley s novel prompted the
most logical arguments out of the books we read. Is the creature guilty? And as I have already said, I
did not think he was. But as the novel unfolded, I found myself feeling extremely sorry for the
monster while simultaneously slowly realizing his guilt in the situation, which makes him a monster.
When Victor meets his creation on the mountain is when my opinion started to shift, but when the
monster plans revenge on Victor and executes his wife. No amount of ignorance and lack of self
control excuses a being from first degree murder, which is willful, deliberate, and premeditated. This
self awareness of a reader s own opinion of the monster can measure one s morality and is the true
horror of the novel. Yes, all the events that happen the monster are horrific in their own right. But,

Teotihuacan Art
Although the Olmec, Teotihuacan and Post Classic are civilizations that are years apart from each
other, many of their basic ideological concepts are extremely similar. Some scholars claim that the
forms of the objects of visual culture remain constant with the passage of time, while the symbolism
and ideology behind objects of visual culture are altered by the different civilizations that adopt the
form and by the passage of time. Form and style are directly correlated, as the style being used to
produce an object of visual culture will have an impact on its overall form and appearance. It is
evident that each civilization had their own art style, therefore, making the form to vary throughout
the different civilizations and time periods in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While certain symbols and figures maintained the significance and meanings despite the passage of
time, art styles utilized by the different Mesoamerican civilizations evolved with the passage of time.
Having a unified system in which each of the figures possessed the same meanings and importance for
each civilization, allowed for the emergence of an art style that could be easily understood and utilized
by most. Before the Postclassical International system, there was not a unified art style used through
Mesoamerica; this system was an expression of the unification among the dominant religious and
political views at the time after the fall of Teotihuacan and before the rise of Tula (Kubler Ecleticism
172). Developing a unique, yet universal style was enabled by the similarities in the ideologies of the
different Mesoamerican civilizations. Through repeated interaction, the symbols and styles merged. In
order to create a system different cultures could understand and identify, the meaning attributed to
each of the symbols had to be somewhat similar throughout the different regions. The merger could
not have occurred if the symbolized used by the different population did not resemble each other. Due
to their similarity, with repeated interaction the

El Banditos On Market St
The ethnic restaurant I chose to visit was El Banditos on Market St. in Iowa City. It is a charming little
Mexican restaurant that is filled with all sorts of different characteristics that make it ethnic. I chose to
explore this restaurant because of how unknown and underrated it was. I personally have never
noticed or heard of it before. It is across the street from Blue Bird Diner which many people have been
to and not many of them would be able to identify that this restaurant is just across the way. The small
atmosphere and authentic feel of the restaurant was evident before one enters the establishment. It also
had a very promising menu online that made me want to visit. El Banditos can be classified as an
ethnic restaurant because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The lighting within the restaurant was dim and brought a nice essence to the place. There was a lot of
artwork displayed throughout the restaurant. The restaurant had old Mexican wrestling posters of
Lucha Libre, bullfighting and the Day of the Dead posters and old Mayan artwork on the walls. These
are well known things and celebrations in Mexican culture. The Day of the Dead is a traditional
holiday that celebrates the lives of friends and family members who have died, and help them support
their spiritual journey. Lucha Libre is a term for professional wrestling in Mexico that a lot of families
gather around to watch together. There were countless old bullfighting posters and some newer
versions.
Keeping up with the Mexican culture was their menu. All the recipes are from the family passed down
over many years. The original El Banditos was opened in 1969 in Des Moines, IA showing off their
unique recipes and style. Everything is handmade and many ingredients are from local vendors around
here. Their menu consisted of classic Mexican dishes such as chips and salsa or guacamole, tacos,
enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, soups, and much more. They also served Mexican style breakfast food
which I have not seen before which I found very interesting. In addition to a colorful menu of food,

The Human Of Human Cloning
1. INTRODUCTION
Human cloning is the creation of a genetically identical copy of a human. However, this term not only
refers to the entire artificial human, but also the reproduction of human cells and tissues. There are
two types of theoretical human cloning: reproductive cloning which would involve making an entire
cloned human and the other, therapeutic cloning, which would involve cloning cells from a human for
use in medicine and transplants by somatic cell nuclear transfer or pluripotent stem cell induction. In
reproductive cloning the entire genetic code is reproduced from a single body cell of an adult
individual. The most common cloning technique is somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT). The
procedure is as follows:

iPSCs are typically derived by introducing products of specific sets of pluripotency associated genes,
or reprogramming factors , into a given cell type.
2. ISSUES
Although the human cloning seems fairly beneficial and useful for human welfare, the possibility of
human cloning has raised controversies. Concerning reproductive cloning, advocates believe that
parents who cannot otherwise procreate should have access to the technology. Some opponents have
concerns that technology is not yet developed enough to be safe while others emphasize that
reproductive cloning could be prone to abuse (leading to the generation of humans whose organs and
tissues would be harvested), and have concerns about how cloned individuals could integrate with
families and with society at large. With regards to therapeutic cloning, the problem is that many
attempts are often required to create a viable egg. The stability of the egg with the infused somatic
nucleus is poor and it can require hundreds of attempts before success is attained. Therapeutic cloning
does result in the destruction of an embryo after stem cells are extracted and this destruction has
stirred controversy over the morality of the procedure. Some argue that the pros outweigh the cons
with regards to treating disease and support development of therapeutic cloning in order to generate
tissues and whole

The Theory That Best Explains Jimmy s Life On A Micro Level
Micro Level The theory that best explains Jimmy s life on a micro level, is Resiliency theory.
Resilience is described as the capacity of a dynamic system to adapt successfully to disturbances that
threaten the viability, the function, or the development of that system (Southwick, Bonanno, Masten,
Panter Brick Yehuda, 2014, p.4). This means that resilience can be shown by the person s capacity to
adjust himself to new and difficult situations. In Jimmy s case, during his life, he had to adapt himself
to different environmental conditions.
Jimmy was raised in Japan, but he came back to the United States. That means he had to experience a
new culture and traditions. Jimmy lost his family at some point in his life, therefore, he had

to learn how to live without their company and support. Also, he was forced to go to the internment
camps and experience difficult living conditions. After, he went through that, he lived as a homeless
man. It is notable that Jimmy had to live in difficult environments and he had to adjust himself to
every single one of those scenarios in order to survive. He had to learn how to live in each different
environment and confront each obstacle in his life. In addition, Jimmy showed resilience by being
independent, even though he was homeless, he used his art as a way to survive and was able to live as
an independent person. He used his strengths to handle his personal situations and remain strong. For

How Did The Cold War Affect The Middle East
What impact did the Cold War have on the Middle East?
We see the cold war as a period of hostility, which ended in 1989 between the Soviet Union and the
USA in which neither country fired shots at each other directly but engaged in proxy wars to
propagate their opposing ideological views and expand their influence globally. The tentacles of the
opposing sides spread globally and the Middle East was no exception and it is impossible to know
what influence Oil had. In 1953 the countries of the Middle East were developing, post colonial and
non aligned but the shah of Iran, supported by the USA was being challenged pro communist Iranian
nationalists.
In 1955 Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey and Britain formed the Central Treaty Organization (Cento), ...

On July 14, 1958, the Iraqi monarchy was overthrown in a military coup. The new government was
led by General Abdul Karim Qasim who withdrew Iraq from the Baghdad Pact, opened diplomatic
relations with Soviet Union and adopted a non aligned stance. The organization dropped the name
Baghdad Pact in favor of CENTO at that time.
CENTO did little to prevent the expansion of Soviet influence to non member states in the area.
Whatever containment value the pact might have had was lost when the Soviets leap frogged the
member states, establishing close military and political relationships with governments in Egypt,
Syria, Iraq, the People s Democratic Republic of Yemen, Somalia, and Libya. By 1970, the USSR had
deployed over 20,000 troops to Egypt, and had established naval bases in Syria, Somalia, and P.D.R.
Yemen.
The Iranian revolution spelled the end of the organization in 1979, but in reality, it essentially had
been finished since 1974, when Turkey invaded Cyprus. This led the United Kingdom to withdraw
forces that had been earmarked to the alliance,[citation needed] and the United States Congress halted
Turkish military aid despite two Presidential vetoes.[5] With the fall of the Iranian monarchy,
whatever remaining rationale for the organization was lost. Future U.S. and British defense
agreements with regional countries such as Pakistan, Egypt, and the Persian Gulf states were

University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approximately 0327 hours I
was sitting in the Shocker Hall freight loading zone. I was facing northbound towards Perimeter road.
I noticed two black males driving eastbound on Perimeter road. I noticed the mini bike did not have
any front or rear lights on it. Also it looked like the bike was only made for one rider due to the second
male hanging a little bit off the back of the bike. I informed dispatch I would be complete at the

located on the Predator engine. This sticker stated the engine was manufactured in April 2017.
I asked dispatch if the could contact S.P.I.D.E.R. (Special Police Information Data Entry and Retrival)
to look up the VIN and check to see if the mini bike was reported stolen. S.P.I.D.E.R. Informed
dispatch there was no record in the system of any bikes being reported stolen.
I took a total of 13 photographs of the bike where it sat in the roadway. WSU Officer Chris Tener #147
went back to the Police station and got one of the parking trucks to come back and get the mini bike. I
loaded the mini bike into the back of the parking vehicle. I met WSU Officer Chris Tener #147 at the

A Short Note On A Polymerase Chain Reaction ( Pcr ) Essay
My longest ongoing project began in October 2014 under the guidance of Dr. Daniela Vergara, a
postdoctoral researcher of the CGRI. Dr. Vergara guided another undergraduate student and me to
troubleshoot a protocol for a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). The objective of improving this
protocol was to analyze phylogenetic relationships between local samples by amplifying and
comparing a region of Tetrahydrocannabinol Acid (THCA) Synthase Gene. My colleague and I had
applied for the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program Grant, which funded our research and
allowed us to ascertain a successful protocol for this PCR and sequence the amplified region of THCA
Synthase Gene. However, near the end of our project, we learned another university s research team
published nearly the same work we were performing, which encouraged us to further our research
before publishing. As new data became available, we observed eleven copies of the THCA Synthase
Gene, which provided our research with a new goal to develop novel primer sets for each unique copy.
My colleague and I each developed a novel set of primers and protocols associated with those primers,
which has allowed us to map the phylogeny through the variation of these genes. Continuing to
develop this research, we are analyzing possible correlations between the variations of a certain
paralogs in relation to the phenotype or physical traits of the plant. We plan to publish the
phylogenetic relationships we discovered, as well as

Tragic Hero In Shakespeare s Much Ado About Nothing
According to Aristotle, the tragic flaw in a hero is impeded by a distinguishable characteristic or
character trait which leads to his ultimate demise. The book Much Ado About Nothing is written by
Shakespeare and features the character of Claudio and his tragic flaw of gullibility. Claudio will be
deceived and mislead as he always will believe the information fed to him like Don John saying Don
Pedro is dishonest leading him to not care about hero and Don Jon speaking of Heroś dishonesty
making Claudio lose trust by most. First, Claudio is mislead by the mischievous Don John into
believing that Don Pedro deceives Claudio and snatches his fair lady for himself. Claudio loses his
once passionate interest in the fair Hero and tries to go down a different path. In the book the evidence
for this is, Tis certain so; the prince woos for himself¨(Shakespeare 23 A2 S1). Claudio is losing

How Did Dorothea Dix Impact The World
What greater bliss than to look back on days spent in usefulness, in doing good to those around us
(Dorothea Dix Quotes). The same person that said this famous quote started the evolution to a better
path for the imprisoned and the mentally ill in the 1800 s. Dorothea Lynde Dix, a famous Civil War
nurse made a difference in this world by traveling around the world to give back and help the ill and
imprisoned. She gave them better lives as well as taking a stand for women to be able to help the
wounded in the Civil War. Dorothea Dix impacted the world by changing perceptions on mentally ill
and prisoners. She gave them a fair chance to live a satisfying life by being a huge part of creating
dozens of new institutions across the United States and in Europe. Dorothea Dix started her change in
the world when she was younger by becoming a teacher. In 1821 Dix opened an academy for wealthy
young ladies in her grandmother s house, and conducted a free school for poor children. Her
contagious joy in teaching made her schools highly successful. Due to an illness she had to leave

with 123 mental institutions had opened. Also her ideas on reform of people serving time caused many
systems to change these methods (Dorothea Dix: Biography Reference Center). Dix dedicated a lot of
her life and time to help strangers. Due to her constant crusade things were changing and looking

Ancient Greek Rituals And War
Mya Hager
Ancient Greek Rituals and War
Rough Draft
Ares and Athena, the god and goddess of war, were influential religious figures for the Ancient Greek
military. They were especially important during rituals and ceremonies prior to soldiers going to war.
They are important in the warriors or soldiers lives because of what role they play in battle and in
rituals. Athena and Ares weren t as important to the soldiers as you would think, but in some places of
battle they were very significant.
Ancient Greek Military
War and Rituals The soldiers that participated in the Greek military were always nervous before they
went into battle, but there weren t many rituals to the god and goddess of war. You would think that
they would be bombarded with all these prayers and wishes, but the men didn t pray to them as much
as would have thought. On the other hand there were of course some rituals performed by newcomers
or new additions to the military. These men performed raging rituals to help them in battle.
Only men were allowed to be apart of the Greek military because the women and girls didn t have the
ability to handle the certain training and the battle. So because of this the women and girls stayed
home and prayed very strongly to Athena and Ares to keep their men safe and healthy during battle.
The women also prayed for them to return home in good condition and if not in good condition then at
least they would come home.
The men wanted to be victorious and

  • 2. Interpreting Dreams Essay Most of us have experienced a dream, be it a nightmare or a pleasant walk in a forest. It was frequently believed that dreams encompass a coded message that might be expressing our hidden wishes, things that happened in the past or even predict the future. In the past, there have been many attempts to unravel the secret hidden behind the dreams and so far the world came up with three main theories of interpreting the dreams (Freudian, Jungian and Cognitive)(Wade, Travis 1998). In this essay I will attempt to analyze my dream by using each of the theories mentioned above, then compare the outcomes as well as their possible connections to my life and in the end determine, which one of these theories is the most accurate and thus as a laic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, Sigmund Freud used as well the technique of the free association in order to determine the real meaning of the dream, because sometimes it was not possible to do so by applying the dream work functions (condensation, composite, displacement, representation) only (Freud 1900). To be more specific about the process of analyzing any dream, Freud thought that only those objects and symbols are of significant importance that we forget as soon as few days pass by and our unconscious censor has enough time to erase them from our memory (Freud 1900). When I have compared the two versions of my dream (the one that I put down immediately after waking up and the other one that was written after four days) I found out that the following things and objects were omitted: People that were in the boat with me Deer around the arbor Six bullets (that I have shot the pig with) The fact, that these objects were omitted signified a fact that they are (from Freudian point of view) of significant importance. People that were in the boat with me were the ones I like and ask for an advice or help. The fact that they were in the boat with me could mean that I need them or perhaps that I will need them sometimes in the future. However, we can explain it also in another way. Perhaps they are just slowing my boat down and therefore I cannot go towards ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Cryptography Is Art Of Secret Writing 1. The term cryptography develops from a Greek word which implies hidden or secret writing. Cryptography is art of secret writing. The primary service provided by cryptography is capability to send information between two participants in an effective way that halts others from reading it. This type of cryptography provides other services namely, integrity checking→ reassuring the recipient regarding a new message in which the message doesn t seem to be altered viewing that it was actually given by a legal source. Authentication →verifying someone s (or something s) identity. Messages within its original form is named plain text or clear text. The hidden info is generally known as cipher text. The procedure for producing cipher text from plain text is named encryption. The reverse of encryption is known as decryption. While cryptographers invent clever secret codes, crypt analysts plan to break these codes. Both these disciplines constantly make sure to keep in advance of one another. Ultimately, the successes of the cryptographers rests on the cryptography systems are likely to involve both an algorithm as well as a secret value. Here the secret value is called as key. The purpose for having a key alongside an algorithm is the idea that it can be problematic to keep devising new algorithms which allows reversible scrambling of data, and it will be hard to quickly explain a newly devised algorithm with the person you d be willing to start communicating securely. 2. ... The word Hindu is to believe to originate from the ancient Persians. The Persians who shared some of the culture with the Indian sub continent used to call the Indus River as Sindhu. Due to some in linguistic problems, they could not pronounce the letter S in their language and started pronouncing the Sindhu as Hindu. The Ancient Greeks and the rest of the world followed the same word pattern calling the Indus River Valley people as Hindus. The Hindu worship is centered on the worship of different gods. • 8. The Pregnancy Of A Foetus Diagnosed With Down Syndrome Discuss the challenges facing parents today in deciding to terminate or continue with the pregnancy of a foetus diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Introduction Having a child comes with not only positive experiences, but also pressure and other adjustment matters. If you are told that your unborn child is diagnosed with Down Syndrome, your perspectives and concerns may change significantly. Known as a genetic disorder that is estimated to occur in 1 out of every 650 1000 live births (Bittles Glasson, 2004), receiving a positive diagnosis of Down Syndrome can be very overwhelming for the parents. Prenatal diagnosis and screening are controversial when we refer to ethical considerations, but the benefits that they provide are undeniable. Prenatal tests do not only facilitate choices through information provision, but also allow the parents to recognise and prepare for the challenges that their unborn child and their family have to face upon their decision making. Whether it is the trauma and grief of abortion or the pressure and difficulty of raising a child with disability, the challenges that they have to face will have a significant impact on their life and it may create new shifts and change their family dynamics forever. Aspects and arguments Down Syndrome (DS) or trisomy 21 is a condition where the third copy of chromosome 21 disturbs the expression of all DNA in the genome (Study revises cause of down syndrome, 2014, p.1). There are four main processes, non invasive and invasive, that will be evaluated being ultrasound, amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sample and cordocentesis. Prenatal testing is used to detect changes in the foetus s genes or chromosomes. They distinguish chromosomal abnormalities, monogenetic diseases caused by single gene mutations and polygenetic diseases that are caused by mutations in several genes. Reasons for a karyotype analysis or invasive prenatal testing are maternal age as the probability of chromosomal abnormalities increase with maternal age, if an existing child of the couple s has a chromosomal ... Foetal blood sampling is the last method and known as cordocentesis or percutaneous umbilical cord sampling (PUBS). This procedure is when a needle is being inserted into the umbilical cord and foetal blood is taken and evaluated for metabolism and hematologic abnormalities (blood disorders). The use of cordocentesis is decreasing since technology can now provide the same information from tests that have smaller risk of miscarriage, such as amniocentesis and CVS, with limitations of structural chromosomal abnormalities smaller than the achievable optical resolution to be undetected. • 10. Alice s Journey Down The Rabbit Hole Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll endures as one of the most iconic children s books of all time. It remains one of the most ambiguous texts to decipher as Alice s adventures in Wonderland have created endless critical debate as to whether we can deduce any true literary meaning, or moral implication from her journey down the rabbit hole. Alice s station as a seven year old Victorian child creates an interesting construct within the novel as she attempts to navigate this magical parallel plain, yet retain her Victorian sensibilities and learn from experience as she encounters new creatures and life lessons. Therefore, this essay will focus on the debate as to whether Alice is the imaginatively playful child envisaged by the Romantics, or a Victorian child whose imagination has been stunted by her education and upbringing. The earlier governing Puritan faith perceived childhood to be a perilous period, and believed children to be inherently sinful; consequential of the fall , which saw a widespread influential religious implication in literature of the time. Children s literature was therefore geared toward the instruction of children, concerned with providing role models to instruct their behaviour, and was preoccupied with the notion of saving the child s soul. In children s literature the notion and construct of childhood became an influential force...it became associated with freedom...and play; focusing on educating children malleablly. ... • 13. Class Struggle Introduction Class struggle is the active expression of a theoretical class conflict looked at from any kind of socialist perspective. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, leading ideologists of communism, wrote The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggle . Marx s notion of class has nothing to do with social class in the sociological sense of upper, middle and lower classes (which are often defined in terms of quantitative income or wealth). Instead, in an age of capitalism, Marx describes an economic class. Membership in a class is defined by one s relationship to the means of production, i.e., one s position in the social structure that characterizes capitalism. Marx talks mainly about two classes that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... the floods! This dimension of Bangladesh s reality is much more presentable and in tune with what the viewer wants to see. In addition, floods or monsoons are a lot easier to explain away as inevitable than are riots or strikes. For the bourgeoisie, what would be the point in shaking the dominant image of a country made of too much water and too many poor people ? However, it is not possible to completely black out the existence of class struggle and some information gets through. The following is a resume of news clips from various newspapers in December 1994: On December 4th 1994 thousands of poorly paid and poorly equipped police officers, auxiliary militiamen (Ansars) mutinied, taking over two barracks, 22 officers hostage and managing to take control of the headquarters and training centre in the capital, Dacca. After 4 days, by which time the mutiny had spread to other provinces, repression began in earnest. The army s special forces attacked the occupies barracks, using very significant measures: artillery guns, rockets, helicopters, gas, armored cars... with an official toll of 4 deaths and 50 wounded. The first ideological image is therefore shattered: there are more than just disarmed, ragged, soaking wet beggars in Bangladesh! Death Troopers Argumentative Essay People have been interested in Sci Fi and Horror for years, Death Troopers adds both together to create a new story using Person vs Nature to create problems for the characters. The hook relates to the essay because it explains the topic of this essay. Death Troopers is a Sci Fi Horror book, so it mentions things that will scare the characters. There are four things in the story that relate to Person vs Nature. For the next four paragraphs I will be talking about how virus, creatures, ship, and escape relate to Person vs Nature creating problems. The virus in the story is not a contamination, so it does not show up on machines. When the search team checked the ship they got no contamination readings Contamination diagnostics checked out negative (Schreiber, Joe, 54). Historiography Of The 1940s The collapse of the military junta signified the decline of the traditional interpretative schemes and frameworks for the 1940s that dominated the domestic historiography for over thirty years. This traditional approach is encapsulated in the theory of the three rounds of the quasi deliberate communist attempt to seize power by force of arms in 1943 1944, in December 1944 and in 1946 1949. The decade of the 1970s saw the emergence of a young generation of scholars who introduced a revisionist school of thought and marked a paradigm shift in the academic discourse on the 1940s. • 17. The Origin Of Moral Sense By Charles Darwin Charles Darwin is famous for his theories regarding evolution and natural selection. In his 1871 book, Charles Darwin explains the origin of morality through studying the behavior of various species. In his essay, Origin of the Moral Sense Charles Darwin uses his theory of evolution to explain the origin of morality through the study of animals, specifically mammals. Darwin s main theory of the Origin of the Moral Sense is that humans have natural social instincts which in turn gives them a sense of naturally occurring morality. Darwin s ideas surrounding morality and a natural social instinct have been echoed and added to by philosophers, almost a century later, David Barash and Robert Trivers. In his essay, the Origin of Moral Sense Charles Darwin explains the origin of morality and its relation to evolution. Darwin argues, that like animals, humans are descendants of natural selection. Darwin argues that not only our (meaning humans and animals) mental capacity evolved, so did our own moral sense. Darwin s first point in the Origin of Moral Sense is that ethics occurs naturally amongst animals. Darwin believes that animals have a sense of sympathy and need to do the right thing ingrained in them. Although Darwin believes it is instinctual to do good , it does not apply to the same species, only species of the same kind. Darwin s second point argues that past actions that are good will be ingrained within ourselves, so we will repeat the same action again. Darwin ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first stress category is internal or individual stress. Stress can happen at any time especially on the internal side as there is always a chance of an officer worrying about the competency to handle an assignment. If the assignment they are working on is causing individual stress the feelings of helplessness and vulnerability starts to happen when they feel the pressure of trying to finish an assignment. Officers start to feel the internal stress that everyone is counting on them to get the assignment they are working on in perfect working order. Since crime never sleeps the assignments that make officers internally stress over each assignment critical which can lead to more time being spent on duty rather than off duty. The last full novel we read, Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley, touches on human aggression much more directly than Candide or The Overcoat. Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus starts with a create but ends with a monster. The creature suffers an extraordinary amount in an amazingly short timespan. It is essentially the not funny version of Candide. Initially, I felt extreme pity for the creature. His only family left him (i.e., Victor Frankenstein) and he had little knowledge of his world. Even after murdering, I still pitied the creature. Victor, in my opinion, was the real killer and was guilty of negligence that lead to someone dying. Shelley s novel prompted the most logical arguments out of the books we read. Is the creature guilty? And as I have already said, I did not think he was. But as the novel unfolded, I found myself feeling extremely sorry for the monster while simultaneously slowly realizing his guilt in the situation, which makes him a monster. When Victor meets his creation on the mountain is when my opinion started to shift, but when the monster plans revenge on Victor and executes his wife. No amount of ignorance and lack of self control excuses a being from first degree murder, which is willful, deliberate, and premeditated. This self awareness of a reader s own opinion of the monster can measure one s morality and is the true horror of the novel. Some opponents have concerns that technology is not yet developed enough to be safe while others emphasize that reproductive cloning could be prone to abuse (leading to the generation of humans whose organs and tissues would be harvested), and have concerns about how cloned individuals could integrate with families and with society at large. With regards to therapeutic cloning, the problem is that many attempts are often required to create a viable egg. The stability of the egg with the infused somatic nucleus is poor and it can require hundreds of attempts before success is attained.
