Statistical data analysis is the foundation of every research; it is the first step in and a research
and is the part that helps researcher developed results. Statistical data analysis plays a crucial role
in the field of nursing. For this research paper, the focus is on the nonparametric test, T test, and
correlation. So, before I proceed, let me provide the definition of these test. Nonparametric tests
are sometimes called distribution free tests because they are based on fewer assumptions (e.g., they
do not assume that the outcome is approximately normally distributed) . (, Boston University
School of Public Health 2016, p. 1). The t test is a parametric statistical test for comparison of the
means of two independent groups. (Kellar Kelvin, 2013, p. 464). According to the University of the
West of England (UWE), Correlation is a technique for investigating the relationship between two
quantitative, continuous variables, for example, age and blood pressure. (UWE, 2016)
The first study that is discussed incorporates the nonparametric test. This study was conducted in
the country of India and discusses the attitudes of nursing students toward psychiatry across
successive training years. Often when nursing specialties are discussed psychiatry is one of the
specialties that is not widely recognized. Psychiatry is an area of nursing that is always looked down
