Increasing Trend Of Non Albicans Cutaneous Candidiasis
Increasing trend in Non albicans Cutaneous Candidiasis: Implications in treatment strategies
Introduction:
Cutaneous candidiasis is a secondary infection of the skin (body folds) and nails in predisposed
patients.1 The disease involvement may be localised or generalised to the skin or nails.2
The clinical manifestations of Candidiasis are of three types: mucocutaneous, cutaneous, and
systemic.3 The spectrum of Cutaneous candidiasis (CC): includes intertrigo, diaper candidiasis,
paronychia, and onychomycosis.4 Infections thrush, intertrigo, enterogastritis and others have long
been known to be due to abnormal proliferation of Candida cells.5
Candida species other than C.albicans have become a significant cause of infection in humans.6
Several of these species are less susceptible to commonly used azole antifungal drugs.6
Hence, the identification of the Candida isolates upto species level along with their antifungal
susceptibility patterns can greatly influence the treatment options for the clinicians and may have
an impact on the patient care.7 Hence this study was done.
Aims and objectives:
1.To isolate Candida species from suspected cases of Cutaneous Candidiasis.
2.To speciate the isolated Candida.
3.To find the antifungal susceptibility for voriconazole and fluconazole among the isolates.
Materials Methods:
A total of 200 patients presenting with the symptoms of Cutaneous

After analyzing the data and performing an environmental scan it is clear that the demographics of
Spokane, Washington will present you will problems filling vacancies based on the Equal
Employment Opportunity requirements. Spokane is the second largest city in Washington and
according to my research 84% of these people are white. The next largest minority group, Hispanic,
is only at 5% and the third largest group is mixed races which is just 3.8%. As you can see Tacoma,
Washington is not very diverse and finding the enough competent employees from minoritygroups
may be difficult given the fact that there are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This means that you will need to change your recruitment practices and perhaps extend beyond
Tacoma to find talent. Realistically I don t see Tanglewood meeting the demands for minority
incumbency for the store associate position in a single year. Hiring internally gives the current
employees more hope and will improve the problem you are facing with keeping your employees
loyal to the company. Although focusing primarily on internal promotions decreases the chance of
finding a stellar employee, it will solve a lot of the current problems your company is facing. I
recommend that you promote current females and minorities internally. This will keep more low
entry level employees motivated to stay and also improve your problems with incumbency
percentages as well. Wood himself mentioned in a recent interview with Business Monthly that,
Tanglewood really needs to slow down and take a hard look at our corporate culture . He goes
on by saying, Right now, we need to consolidate and make sure we re as close to the company s
original mission as we can be . Taking this quote into consideration it is clear that the recent
expansion increases have destroyed the relationship between the low level employees and
Tanglewood. This does not merely apply to the Washington stores, but to rather the entire store as a
whole. People are running in and out of this company and the only way to stop the large percentage

Essay on Olaudah Equiano
The Horrid Journey If it were not for the stories past down from generation to generation or the
documentations in historical books, the history of the twelve million African slaves that traveled
the Middle Passage in miserable conditions would not exist. Olaudah Equiano contributes to this
horrid history with The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano. Through this
narrative, the appalling personal experience of each slave is depicted. He accomplishes his
rhetorical purpose of informing the world of the slave experience in this narrative. His use of
unique style and rhetorical devices in this conveying narrative portray his imperative rhetorical
purpose. Throughout Equiano s works, a unique style is evident. This... Show more content on

In this, however, it depicts the complex journey of the African slaves that struggled to become
equal. In addition, Equiano s use of imagery clearly depicts the journey of the Africans slaves,
such as The closeness of the place, and the heat of the climate, added to the number in the ship,
which was so crowded that each had scarcely room to turn himself, almost suffocated us (45).
Through the portrayal of this vivid imagery, the reader can feel the distress of the slaves in
which they encountered the journey of the Middle Passage. He emphasizes his emotions, ideals,
and thoughts through the imagery. With the uses of this vivid imagery along with high diction
and intricate sentences, Equiano successfully attempts to inform the reader of the horrid journey
of slave transportation. However, it is not only his unique style alone that fulfils his rhetorical
purpose of depicting the appalling slave experience; in addition, his several rhetorical devices
aid to do so. Equiano s rhetorical devices which include ethos, pathos, and logos abet to define
and accomplish his rhetorical purpose. His ethos, or ethical assurance, is conveyed in his level of
education portrayed by his sentence structure and high diction. Furthermore, as proven in historical
documents, Equiano was a slave aboard one of the many slave ships. With this, the reader can
accredit Equiano s narrative to be a reliable and first hand source to the journey of the Middle
Passage.

Imperialism In The 21st Century
Now we ve got it covered now we can ensure it s understood: Trump is not an outsider, first of all.
He s an elitist among elitists, and he s being pushed by the elite to win this election. Why, now?
Divide et impera! The more stratified we are by imaginary lines (white/black male/female straight
/gay cis/trans rich/poor binary/non binary), the less united we are in empathy and objective
conscience. The elite are mostly white, mostly male, mostly straight, mostly cisgender, and
guaranteed to be rich as rich can be. If the other categories of human are repressed and removed,
they can have all the free reign they want! Last year we had two terrors in two cities: Paris and San

Colossal Figure Of Akhenaten Essay
The Colossal Figure of Akhenaten was built during the Amarna Period, which was a period of
change. The ruler was Amenhotep IV who changed his name to Akhenaten around 1348 BC.
Akhenaten changed the religion from polytheism to monotheism and he moved the capital of Egypt
from Thebes to Akhetaten. He also changed the artwork of the time, which is clearly shown in the
Colossal Statue of Akhenaten. This statue was placed southeast of the Temple of Karnack where a
temple for the (new) one God, Aten, was built. The Statue is a depiction of Akhenaten. It is about
16 feet tall and made of sandstone that has traces of polychromy within it.
The reason why the Amarna Period art is drastically different is because the pharaoh, Akhenaten,

Akhenaten s statue has none of those qualities. It depicts the pharaoh as having a large stomach, not
flat abs, which is shown by the obvious natural, curved line that is just above the sash and is the
most prominent distortion. This is also an implied line that enunciates the imperfect body shape of
the statue. The protruding stomach also creates a natural shadow that further shows the distorted
features. Continuing downward on the statue to the sash there is also a natural, curved line that
goes upward towards the thin waistline. This shows a feminine quality that men should not have.
On the clothing, there is an implied overlapping with the pieces of cloth in the front shown by the
layering effect. Also, on the clothing there are implied lines that seem to curve around the statue.
They all seem to be drawn to an unseen focal point near the top of the sash, creating movement.
This implies that the clothing is wrinkled giving it a different texture then the rest of the statue
which is smooth. It also emphasizes the feminine curve to his body. This is also emphasized by the
lines that are further apart on top and as the body narrows, the lines get closer together like the
fabric has to stretch more around the

Defense In Football
Every Defense in football is different, but there are some parallels no matter how unique a
defense is. Every defense has a defensive front, different coverages, unique blitzes, and they all
have the same positions. Defense is what gives a team an edge. It is the difference in a good
team and a great team. A good defense keeps the opposing team s offense off of the field, limiting
their chances to score. While doing so, they are increasing their chances to score by keeping their
team s offense on the field as much as possible.
The foundation of every defense is the defensive front. The front refers to where each position is
when lined up. The seven most common fronts are the 4 3, the 3 4, the 4 4, the 5 2, the 5 3, the 6

The answer was the zone blitz. we were able to rush five guys and cover with six. That s what
you need to run a zone blitz. Bill Arnsparger. The 1980 s really set the tone for the defenses we
see in the NFL today. The 1980 s is when the short passing game started to become very popular
among the upper levels of football. Before this, football was all about power, ball control
offenses. As a result, that is what defenses were used to defending. As short precision passing
offenses became more and more popular, defenses need an answer to stop these offenses. The
answer was the zone blitz. The zone blitz allows five men to rush the quarter back, attempting to
disrupt the quarterback. If that fails, the defense still has six men in coverage. The zone blitz is
still very popular in the NFL

Particularly because people who are a part of street gangs like this, normally are in the lower
class and feel as though they have something to gain from this. These lower class people would
have their own values and would create conflict against the middle class norms and beliefs of
what is right and wrong. This culture involves being street smart and requires to be tough. Many
youth would join street gangs because they feel as if they are disadvantaged while in school, or
may not have an education opportunity. Being delinquent is a way of dealing with these
failures. Some youth grow up in an area where gangs are a way of life. Being in a gang can be
seen as a way to earn money or many other things that may be needed. Members may feel as if
they get better shelter, clothing and overall a better lifestyle by joining a gang mainly because
they feel as if they can depend on other members to provide them with what they need, in order
to feel a type of success and to feel as though they have status. Being apart of a group like this
gives them a sense of honour and may give them the feeling of meaning on their life to be a part

My First 12 Step Meeting
For posterity s sake, I tried to recall my first 12 step meeting and have concluded that it was most
likely the year 1996, it was cold in the little town of Altoona. The clubhouse was strange, dark,
smelled of coffee, and full of smoke there, the people were all so different, but all of them
seemed to know some secret code, plus they seemed to talk as if reading bumper stickers. As I
kept coming back, I began to feel more comfortable, understand what was going on, and want what
these people had. People at these meetingswere open, appeared comfortable in their own skins, and
had such, dramatic, fascinating stories that were dark, yet somehow uplifting. Since that time, I
have been to a plethora of various types of meetings at various locations, but there is a theme
throughout of trust, and a bond of acceptance that makes one feel welcome wherever one goes to a
meeting. Therefore, I had a plan to go to Allentown with my fiancГ©e to an NA meeting he used
to go to on Saturday night, however, as things sometimes happens, this did not go as planned.
Not to worry, I have learned long ago that alternative meetings can work just as well, or better. In
fact, for all the meetings I have attended, I have never regretted going, or not gotten something
out of it. Ending up going to one of my favorite meeting places, all worked out for the best, as I
felt it would. The Sunday Morning Speakers Group D 33 at the Muhlenberg Recreation Center on

Differences Between Forward Logistics And Reverse Logistics
1.1.Difference between Forward Logistics and Reverse Logistics:
Forward logistics (or conventional logistics) is the regular distribution channel followed by the
manufactures from time immemorial. Forward logistics concentrates on the products (goods or
services) reaching the consumer end and deals with the line of flow from the manufacturer s end to
the consumer s end. It deals with the very essence of Supply Chain Management and logistical
activities of an organization. It has a significant impact on the primary operations carried out,
which act as the basic revenue generating aspect of a business. In this logistical system, the flow is
a one to many type and the forecasting or traceability is quite simple.

Significance of Indian Beverage Industry with Reverse Logistics:
Indian food industry, with a net market value of around US$ 300 billion, is one of the major food
markets in the world. Looking at the contribution of the beverage sector in these statistics, we have
soft drink (carbonated and juices) market estimated at US$ 1 billion a year and health beverages
estimated at US$ 230 million, which is on a continuous verge of exponential growth.
It is expected that by 2021, India s projected population of 1.3 billion will constitute 64.2% of
people in between the age group of 15 and 59.
According to the global research firm Dun Bradstreet, an increasing pattern of income level when
coupled with the above statistics will give a growth of 9.1% of consumption of consumer goods in
a year.
In the Indian scenario, with relatively less importance given to efficient logistics, the market
leaders in beverage industry like Coca Cola, PepsiCo and ParlГ© Agro have their own well
established strong logistics network. The other small scale industries producing both carbonated
and non carbonated soft drinks in glass/ PET bottles or in Tetra Pak cartons have a comparatively
well established third party logistics system. They have the help of local providers in providing
vehicles for small transfers which help them in overcoming problems such as demands for bribes
by retailers, security and other logistics

The Development And Popularity Of The Elizabethan Theatre
The Development and Popularity of the Elizabethan Theatre
I. Introduction
Hook: What type of entertainment could have been available in the Elizabethan era without actors

1. Forms of Entertainment
Elizabethan entertainment was very important to the people, as it gave them a chance to take a
break form their hard lives. a. Court entertainment was regular, often nightly occurrence combined
with feasts, jousts, and banquets often occompainies by music and dancing. But the poor people

Many men used it from 1594 to 1596, which was the beginning of the Elizabethan Theatre. B.
Development
The Theatre was build in a similar style to the Roan Coliseum, but on a smaller scare. The
Elizabethan ampithetre was designed to hold a capacity of up to 3000 people. (http:/
/www.elizabethan era.org.uk/history of the elizabethan theatre.htm)
They combined their experiences of the inn yards with the other forms of entertainment and
produced an amphitheeare. This was created by modifying the features of the existing blood sports
rings with the affition of a fixed stage, unlike the trestly supported stage use in the inn yards. This
allowed the stage productions to become fare more sophisticated with the use of props and a much
larger stage area for the actors complete with trap doors. (http://www.william shakespeare.info

2. Popularity of The Theatre a. Audience and Profit
For the common people it was relatively affordable. The working class people would show up and
pay their penny to stand in the front of the stage while weathier people whould pay for their seats.

My Personal Statement On Science Of Human Body
Introduction:
My interest in science of human body started when I was a little girl, my bedtime story was all
revolved around my legendary grandpa. He was an amazing doctor who serves army when Japan

favourite superhero even today.
After I grew up I decided to be someone who is useful to the society. Through the 6 years of
optometry, i decided to dedicate another 4 years to develop my acedemic knowledge.
Current career achievements:
I would like to start with a story I experienced in the optometry practice. One day a patient said

experienced ophthalmologists and also luckily having some hands ons on some patients with rare
conditions. I was very often amused by the amount of knowledge consultants have and this
motivates me to study more. It really puts patient at ease when you have a plan for their treatment
and which is what i lack as an optometrist. we often diagnose but can not treat most of he
conditions. I also have observed the relationship in the multi disciplinary team between nurses,
junior doctors, registrars and consultants. It was a friendly environment with respects to each other.
I start to realise the hard work it involves on the road to become a doctor.
Out of all these work experiences and shadownings. They all have something in common they are
all patient centred. No matter what profession you are in, you will be dedicate youself to help

Who Is Sister Carrie Rebel
Although Dreiser makes several generalizations about women at the beginning of the novel,
which might lead the author to be seen as conservative, his empathy for Carrie s position seems
to represent his view on contemporary women. Thus, Sister Carrie is initially described as
having an average little conscience , and being urged into the position of the traditional women
(Dreiser 92). However, despite the fact that she wants to be a consumerist, Carrie can certainly be
considered to be a rebel. When the Hansons tried to transform her personality, her heart revolted as
much as when Hurstwood attemped to narrow her desires (324). Coming to New York with her
alleged husband, she, thus, started to have a few opinions of her own (Dreiser 280).... Show more

Carrie as a character depicts this transformation. At first, she is a model of True Woman
, then she
becomes a modern New Woman. She does not want to follow the ideal women were supposed to
follow and, thus, she rebels not only against her husband Hurstwood, but also against society and
the common social and economic discrimination. When Carrie decides to seek a job again, the
story turns and she changes places with Hurstwood, who is now unemployed. This is described as
the beginning of the new order (Dreiser 377) and is the main decisive turning point in the novel.
Carrie starts earning money, covering all of her and Hurstwood s living cost, while he does the
grocery shopping. We can see that Carrie does not understand his unemployment, claiming that [n]o
man could go seven months without finding something if he tried (Dreiser 380). Thus, the novel as
a whole demonstrates how this social and economic rise of the New Women is not only connected
but congruent to a certain decline of the male gender, designated as a crisis of masculinity by
historians (Brod, Harry. The Case for Men s Studies. The Making of Masculinities: The New Men
s Studies. Ed. Harry Brod. Boston: Allen Unwin, 1987, pp. 39 62.). For someone like George
Hurstwood, who is a married manager of Fitzgerald and Moy s, the loss of his ability to maintain
his status seems to represent this crisis accurately. Within this shift, a major change in gender
relation follows. Carrie and Hurstwood move into different social and economic directions, drawing
attention to the restructure of Victorian assumptions regarding male and female understanding.
Dreiser metaphorically remarks this: with the tables turned, she was looking down, rather than up,
to her lover (184). As aforementioned, with Hurstwoods s downfall, Dreiser might want to point
out how even rich and successful people happen to lose all what they have.

Possible Causes and Effects of Internet Addiction
Psychodynamic focuses on the conscience and unconscious mind of an individual where as
Behaviourism, is based on the behaviour of the individual without taking into account any thoughts
of the individual. The two theories are both deterministic and both believe that our current
behaviour is a result of previous events. A behaviourists would suggest that psychologyis a science
of behaviour, not a science of mind, the sources of an individual s behaviour is external, in the
environment, not internal. The psychodynamic approach studies the relationship between the mind
and personality of the individual, and the theory beleives that a person s behaviour is driven by
emotions, mental aspects, and subconscious forces. Dr Kimberly S Young... Show more content on

Those who practice behaviour therapy are called behaviourists and tend to look more at specific,
learned behaviours and how the environment has an impact on those behaviours. (2) They tend to
look for treatment outcomes that are objectively measurable. (3) Most behaviour therapists use
interventions, structured interviews, or different behavioural rating forms, these different
assesments are used so the therapist can determine exactly what the individuals problem may be. As
behaviour therapists believe that current behaviours arise from previous physical events, I do not
think that this therapy would be best suited to a paitent with an Internet addiction disorder, I believe
that the patient has an underlying disorder such as depression and or anxiety. Researchers suggest
that persons with social anxiety disorder often feel more comfortable using online communication
methods versus face to face interactions due to high levels of fear and anticipation of threat and
negative evaluation associated with live interactions. Furthermore, research has established a clear
connection between social anxiety and problematic internet use but little is known about the
specific factors involved in this connection. (4) Internet addiction disorder has only recently been
taken into consideration, and has been added as a form of impulse control disorder Impulse control

Everything that exists in the world is made up of atoms, from the asteroids that float around in
space to the very cells inside a human body. Atoms are everywhere and that s because atoms make
up everything. Atoms are made up of protons, neutrons and electrons, each element has different
amount of protons, neutrons and electrons. For instance one Helium atom has two protons, two
neutrons and two electrons. Helium is an extremely stable element so there are no variations such
as ions or isotopes. So we know that atoms make up everything in the universe and atoms are made

Electrons are known to fall into orbits or energy levels. These orbits are not visible like the orbit
of a planet or celestial body. The reason is that atoms are so small and the best microscopes can
only view so much of atoms at that scale. Even if we could view electrons they would move too
fast for the human eye. We can only estimate where the electrons are, that is why the modern model
of the atoms has an electron cloud surrounding the nucleus of an atom instead of a set orbit.
Electrons are classed under as fermions seen in diagram 3, as far as we know electrons have no
internal structure instead they are oscillations of the electron field or quantum field

extraterritorial power through the trading of a restricted drug, and the Chinese Empire s refusal to
allow the British this power. The modern history of Chinacommences with The Opium War, in
which China is often portrayed as a victim of western imperialism in Eastern Asia. This
interpretation of Chinese history is more similar to that of contemporary Chinese politics than the
reality of the conflict. The opposing side of the this argument states that British imperialism was
beneficial in opening up an enclosed xenophobic country. Similarly to the

Once The Wart Character Analysis
The Wart walked up to the great sword for the third time. He put out his right arm softly and drew
it out as gently from a scabbard. (198). The Wart, a nickname for soon to be King Arthur was a
modest, curious, young boy who was into adventure. Once the Wart was crowned king, he was
named King Arthur. King Arthurgrew from a timid boy to become a strong ruler with the help of
his tutor Merlyn. The theme of might and right that recurred several times was based on Arthur.
The Wart was always good hearted both young and old, but when he pulled the sword from the
stone he had to apply all his lessons and morals to his rule. T.H. White uses might and right to
prove that Arthur is exceptional for his devotion and belief in Merlyn s ideas. Instead,... Show more

Arthur is a successful king, because he worked hard to understand Merlyn s morals and apply it
to his own system of governance. In order to obtain great power like Arthur did, you need might.
Arthur utters his explanation through a few words saying, Why can t you harness Might so that
it works for right? I know it sounds nonsense, but, I mean, you can t just say there is no such
thing. The Might is there, in the bad half of people, and you can t neglect it. You can t cut it out,
but you might be able to direct it, if you see what I mean, so that it was useful instead of bad.
(241). This quote shows that T.H. White proves force to equal justice and that Arthur can make a
seperation between power and justice. Arthur is remembered for his image of a civilized society,
and not for his role on the battlefield. He notices the good and bad of common people and allows
them to equal each other out. For example, under King Arthur s rule, Knights are allowed to fight
for a reason, but not for pity fun. Arthur uses Merlyn s knowledge from the lessons and turning into
multiple creatures to maintain a just political system with a progressive civilization. All of his
encounters with the warlike ants and the wise badger taught him to find might equals right. He
grew to believe in doing what is right and that everything in his society is considered right. His

Interpreting Dinosaur Habitats
1) How are sedimentary rocks used to interpret past dinosaur habitats? How is the geologic principle
of uniformitarianism used for this type of interpretation?
Sedimentary rocks interpret dinosaur habitats through encased environmental structures of the past.
Through sedimentary rocks, paleoecologists can examine the arranged formation of sedimentary
structures to specify what type of environment the dinosaurs lived in. An example of a specific
sedimentary rock structure can be seen through formed weathering and ripple marks by how wind
and sand formed distinct patterns in the past layered sediment. These arrangements provide
interpretations on the structure of the sediment and the habitat of encased fossils, through modern
day comparisons ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ichnology, the study of trace fossils, is the principal study in following and learning about trace
fossils and how these fossil types indicate habitats. Ichnologists can use trace fossils, such as a
track way and walking patterns of dinosaurs, to determine the specific area a dinosaur walked on,
which can express a dinosaur species preferred habitat. By examining sedimentary layers and
structures, ichnologists can use fossilized tracks to determine what specific habitat a species of
dinosaur lived in. The use of uniformitarianism can be used to conclude what specific environment
a dinosaur lived in through sedimentary structures. Ichnology uses tracks to determine what habitat
a dinosaur inhabited by the pattern that a dinosaur walked in. With nests, Ichnologists can use
information to determine what habitat a species of dinosaur lived in to ensure a safe environment

Motivation Theories And Motivation Of Employee Motivation...
In organizations all across the world you will find management working diligently to enhance or
maintain productivity. There are many things that can affect productivity, some that are within our
control and some that are not. Employee motivation is something that can directly affect an
organizations production. It is no secret that un motivated employees equates to un productive
workers, but how can we combat this? In order to better understand this concept we will look at the
definition of employee motivation, some of the motivation theories and some motivation techniques
that could be useful in our organizations.
What is employee motivation?
Motivation is a word used quite often in many different scenarios, at work, home, the gym as
well as other places. In order to explore employee motivation, let us first define the term.
According to Spector (2012), motivation is generally defined as an internal state that induces a
person to engage in particular behaviors (p.194). This seems to be some sort of internal pressure
that helps propel us forward in whatever endeavor we might be undertaking at the time. As with
any topic that has been repetitively researched over the years, the word motivation has been
defined in many different ways. In 1981 Kleinginna and Kleinginna documented 140 different
definitions of the word. For the purpose of this research we will be focusing on work or employee
motivation. A very good definition of this concept was developed in 1981by a professor

Foreaskin Research Paper
Foreskin Hygiene, Pediatric
The foreskin is the loose skin that covers the head of the penis (glans). Keeping the foreskin area
clean can help prevent infection and other conditions. If this area is not cleaned, a creamy
substance called smegma can collect under the foreskin and cause odor and irritation.
The foreskin of an infant or toddler does not need unique hygiene care. You should wash the penis
the same way as any other part of your child s body, making sure you rinse off any soap. Cleaning
inside the foreskin is not necessary for children that young.
RETRACTING THE FORESKIN
Usually, the foreskin will fully separate from the glans by age 5 years, but it may separate as early
as age 2 years or as late as puberty.
When the foreskin has separated from the glans, it can be pulled back (retracted) so that the glans
can be cleaned.
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Forcing the foreskin to retract can injure it and cause problems.
Children should be allowed to retract the foreskin on their own when they are ready.
KEEPING THE FORESKIN AREA CLEAN
Before puberty, the foreskin area should be cleaned from time to time or as needed.
After puberty, it should be cleaned every day.
Until the foreskin can be easily retracted, wash over the foreskin with soap and water.
When the foreskin can be easily retracted, wash the area under the foreskin in the shower or bathtub:
1 Gently retract the foreskin to uncover the glans. Do not retract the foreskin farther back than is
comfortable. The distance the foreskin can retract varies from person to person.
2 Wash the glans with mild soap and water. Rinse the area thoroughly.
3 Dry the glans when you get out of the shower or bathtub.
4 Slide the foreskin back to its regular position.
Teach your child to perform these steps on his own when he is ready to start bathing himself.
During urination, a bit of foreskin should always be retracted to keep the glans

Oryx And Crake Sparknotes
Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood
As I first started to read Oryx and Crake , I was somewhat skeptical of whether or not I would
enjoy reading it. The first chapter confused me with unusual words that I have never heard or

came as a surprise as I started to read it because it was not as hard to understand as I thought it
would be and was actually quite enjoyable. The symbols in this book can mean many different
things based on what the reader believes since religion plays a big part in it. Margaret Atwood

The Lives of Working Children from Labouring Families at...
At the end of the Nineteenth century life was difficult for labouring classes due to the constant long
hours of manual labour, the financial problems from the low pay, and the stresses of pandemics
across the country. Working Children/Adults had difficult lives because their jobs were usually
severely energy consuming and in extremely bad cases some developed deformities due to their
ruthless occupations. Additionally, familylife could be difficult due to the insufficient wages and
therefore a possibly inadequate amount of food. Luxuries were also scarce among the family and
dependent on their jobs, families would rarely see one and other. Housing was also huge issue in
the industrial revolutiondue to the highly populated cities where there were small but populated
and cramped houses spreading diseases very quickly. The lives of working children from
labouring class families at the end of Nineteenth century were hard, tough and strenuous.
Children normally had to work because not enough money was being made in their family
however the factories preferred to employ orphans because there were many in the orphanages
and they could be easily replaced if an accident was to happen. Additionally, although these jobs
did not earn much, it was normally enough to buy them a meal (under 11 year old boys in

Songs That Have Stood the Test of Time and Geography
Part 1 Background and Identification There are quite a number of songs that have stood the test of
time and geography to remain as vital and popular today as they were when first composed.
Perhaps it is because some of these songs simply transcend time and place and appeal to the core of
human emotion. Who cannot feel a thrill of excitement and humanity at the finale of Beethoven s
9th Symphony, or shed a tear at a favorite Christmas carol? One song that fits this transcendence
is La Vie En Rose, literally, Life in Pink. This was first made popular in 1946 by French torch
singer Edith Piaf. Translated from the French idiom, the piece means seeing life through rose
colored glasses, rather perfect for Piaff s life and vocal talent, and even more perfect for a world
turned upside down because of World War II. At first, Piaf s colleagues and team did not think
the song would be at all successful, yet it became a favorite with audiences around the world, and
Piaf s signature song (Bret, 2009). The song quickly became so popular it was translated into
several languages, and then the greatest compliment of all imitated by singers in many different
genres. Ironic since the words were almost hastily scribbled on a cocktail napkin while Piaf was
drinking with her friend Marianne Michel at a cafГѓ on the Champs Elysees (Burke, 2011, p. 118).
Also, besides over 50 artists interpreting and recording the work, it was recently made into a stage
play and surprisingly successful

Canada Renewable Energy Case Study
2.2 The wrong definition of the market and the creation of the market
2.21 A brief introduction of Canada Renewable Energy/FIT In Canada Renewable Energy/FIT, the
AB made several innovations which were criticized by commentators. The argument started from
the provision of FIT system by the government of the Canadian Province of Ontario. The province
of Ontario provided a feed in tariff program to the renewable energy (wind and solar energy)
producers which compromised 20 year price guarantee. Then, the Panel and the AB were required
to determine whether the province of Ontario conferred advantages on the renewable energy
producers. It was the responsibility for the complainants (Japan and Europe) to prove that the
actions of the province ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To be specific, the AB stated even if the demand side factors suggested that the definition of the
market should be a single electricity market, regardless of its sources, the supply side elements also
implied that the renewable energy market created by the government should be the market
benchmark which should be distinguished from the regular energy market. As stated above, it is
clear that the theories of supply side and demand side were in the equal position. Therefore, there
was not enough evidence for the AB to abandon the theory of demand side . As these two theories
were in the equal position, the consumers views should be worth referring to. To be specific, the
Panel found that the consumers do not distinguish electricity on the basis of generation
technologies, prices and usage. Furthermore, the AB also expressed the same opinion, saying
electricity is identical and there is high demand substitutability between electricity through various
technologies. Obviously, the consumers did not care about the electricity generation sources. In
sum, according to the EU experiences and the attitudes of the consumers, the definition of the
market should not be confined to a renewable energy market, instead, a broader wholesale
electricity market should be the appropriate benchmark. If the renewable energy market is adopted
to measure subsidies,

Discretion-Related Validity
Essentially, there are a variation of methods to record the job relatedness and precision of a test as
a decision making device, however, a working comprehension of validation should focus on some
general types of validation. According to Heneman, Judge, and Kammeyer ВMueller (2012, p. 335)
Validity is defined as the degree to which a test measures what it is supposed to measure. All the
more, the differences among face validity, construct validity and criterion related validity are as
follows:
Face Validity:
Face validity pertains to whether the test looks valid to the examinees who take it (Niche

Criterion Related Validity is the extent to which a test or questionnaire predicts some future or
desired outcome, for example work behaviour or on the job performance. This validity has
obvious importance in personnel selection, recruitment and development. Whenever possible, the
statistical evaluation of the relationship between selection measures and valued business
outcomes is desirable. This type of validation is known as criterion related validation and it can
provide concrete evidence of the accuracy of a test for predicting job performance. Criterion
validation involves a statistical study that provides hard evidence of the relationship between
scores on pre employment assessments and valued business outcomes related to job performance.
The statistical evidence resulting from this process provides a clear understanding of the ROI
provided by the testing process and thus helps document the value provided. Criterion related
validation also provides support for the legal defensibility of an assessment because it clarifies the
assessment s accuracy as a decision making tool. While criterion related validation may seem
mysterious, it has much in common with two more well known concepts that are used to help find
value within business processes: six sigma and business intelligence. Both of these methods require
that data be examined in order to help clarify relations between various process components. The
resulting information can be used to help streamline business processes and uncover meaningful
relationships between various streams of data. The creation of a feedback loop using criterion
validation is really no different (Handler, 2009).Criterion related validity is the ability of a test to

Abstract
Financial Management usually involves the process of planning, organizing and controlling the
financial activities of any enterprise to achieve the goals and objectives in financial terms of that

is concerned with achieving the overall goals of the business firm by acquiring, financing and
controlling the assets of the firm. Financial Management can be described as an integrated decision
making process as it has a virtual impact on the achievement of the overall organizational goal.

Abstract (summar of paper) When observing a star, the lager it is the shorter its life is going to
be. The smaller it is the longer the life. Shorter life is not saying much though, as the most massive
stars live for billions of years. When a star reaches about middle age, it starts fusing hydrogen into
helium. Once it has run out of usable hydrogen that it can convert into helium, it can then take on
one of several paths. It can lead to white dwarfs, novae, supernovae, neutron stars or even black
holes.

Type II supernovaes, which are more common, occurs when a star runs out of nuclear fuel and
collapses under its own gravity. In a Type II supernovae, once the star s core surpasses a certain
mass (The Chandrasekhar limit) the star begins to impolode. The core then heats up and becomes
denser. Eventually the implosion bounces back off the core, expelling the stellar material into
space. What s left is a neutron star.
Type I supernovaes lack a hydrogen signature in their light spectra. These type of supernovae are

Thus, young designers will seek to profit from the support of investors to finance their growth.
Branded watches have continuously been well liked throughout the years and will still continue to
be trendy in the years to come for the reason that after consumers buy into a brand, they reap
countless benefits. With their knowledgeable purchasing routine, consumers continue to purchase
in style brand watches for five important reasons.
1. The primary goal consumers get branded watches is that they are very dependable. This is of
unique significance because they will know from their previous experience whether a brand is of
quality or not. After the watch confirms reliability, the brand will be bought often times by loyal
customers. As a result, the top quality brand watches will continually perform well.
2. The next cause boils down to a large extent of how the consumers regard the brand. There are
many assorted brands available in the marketplace these days but consumers continue to obtain only
a handful of the brands they trust and are familiar with. The reason for this is that when consumers
decide to buy a new watch, they normally purchase a brand which they highly regard.
3. These fashionable brand watches are known to be tough and this is the third reason why
consumers obtain branded watches. It is a considerable aspect to be aware of

The Importance Of Education And Lifelong Learning
Education and Lifelong Learning. The ALA s fifth value centers on the library s need to provide
opportunities to their communities for life long learning. Librarians are encouraged to promote the
creation, maintenance, and enhancement of a learning society (Core Values of Librarianship,
2004) through their work. The concepts behind the OA Publishing movement work in tandem with
the efforts of librarians to establish life long learning lifelines to patrons by providing free access to
what was once expensive and/or inaccessible information. Access to academic data should not be
limited to those with the good fortune to have resources available to them at will. All people with
the desire and drive to access and utilize academic research should be afforded the opportunity to do
so regardless of their financial situation or institutional affiliation. OA journals allow for self
directed learning to take place outside the traditional constraint of an academic environment, thus it
actively promotes continued education and learning opportunities for non traditional information
communities.
Intellectual Freedom. The ALA clearly supports the resistance of censorship in libraries. Librarians
serve their communities as facilitators of information access. Actively expurgating content in an
attempt to safeguard users from what has been arbitrarily deemed non compliant is in direct conflict
with the objectives of information dissemination. Open access initiatives run parallel to the
principles of intellectual freedom in that both advocate for increased access to information (Peet,
2017). Although similar, fighting for open accessand fighting against censorship are not quite the
same enterprise; however, they do share a common enemy: economic barriers to content (Peet,
2017).
Although some have more than others, all institutions have certain budgetary restrictions placed on
them. In order to acquire electronic resources for their patrons, libraries often purchase pre bundled
electronic materials from vendors and publishers. These bundles are often inconsistently priced, and
may include unnecessary applications and exclude valuable resources. As a result, the bundling
business model can serve to

The Importance Of Post-Secondary Education In The United...
A post secondary education has become essential in today s society. Many students throughout the
United States focus on their education and work hard to receive perfect grades. Most importantly,
the financing of each student s post secondary education has become difficult in today s economy
due to the cost. Corresponding to American Progress, a recent study by Georgetown Universitys
Center on education and workforce found that at current levels of production, the U.S. economy
will have a shortfall of five million collegeeducated workers by 2020. (Bergeron Martin). This
shows that the cost expense of college causes five million college educated workers to decrease.

Although student loans are beneficial for an education and a degree, they harm the nation with
debt. According to Andersen, the average student loan debts for college graduates is $37,000.
The money invested in college tuition would have many decisive effects making our country an
even better place to live financially. Corresponding to TradeSchools.net, there are many places
around the world that give students access to a free college education like Finland, Austria,
Norway, Germany, and Sweden (Redd). The idea has a lot of financial benefits of college
graduates not being in debt because of the nation s spending towards their education. It s also very
successful, Finland has free college tuition with 2.08% of their nation s GDP leading the average
student loan amounts to $1,200 for living expenses. In comparison to the United States 1.36%
share towards education, drowning the nation in debt (Redd). The money being funded would help
educate our country and benefit students lives as a whole. Results increase the amounts of
graduates leading to more chances for our population to become doctors, lawyers, nurses, or make a
living out many other professions that require a post secondary degree. Most students will have an
opportunity to finish their college education and this will eventually pay off because the United
States would benefit from having more

Bat Mitzvah Project
To become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, one must complete community service in order to give back to
the community. When I was twelve years old, I chose an organization that I found interesting and
that I wanted to spread awareness for, The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in
Washington D.C.. I felt a personal connection to this organization, and for my Bat Mitzvah
project, I created and sold necklaces, where all the proceeds went to the museum. This project
inspired me and helped me mature from a girl, to a woman. Ever since my Bat Mitzvah project, I
have been making these necklaces in my spare time. Over the years, I donated thousands of dollars
and countless hours of my time to help this important cause. If all students are required to choose

Rhetorical Analysis Of Gandhi s Ethos, Pathos, And...
Mahatma Gandhi was one of the most iconic revolutionary figures of all time. This iconic figure
received worldwide fame by attacking British ruled India, while abiding by his moral codes of
peace. He was never known for being financially affluent, but was widely embraced for his focus
on moral growth. Gandhi applies Aristotle s modes of persuasionby using ethos, pathos, and logos
in order to convince his audience of his ideologies. In an article titled Ethos, Pathos, and Logos
the author effectively explains what each modes of persuasion means, Ethos is the ethical
appeal, means to convince an audience of the author s credibility or character. Pathos is the
emotional appeal, means to persuade an audience by appealing to their emotions. Logos is the
appeal to logic, means to convince an audience by use of logic or reason (Bernanke).
Furthermore, through Gandhi s ability to appeal to his audience s credibility, emotion, and logic
Gandhi was able to connect with them effectively. In Mahatma Gandhi s speech, Economic and
Moral Progress, he applies Aristotle s modes of persuasion of ethos, pathos, and logos to support
his ideology about the significance of moral progress over economic growth. Gandhi applies ethos
when he succeeds in gaining credibility from the audience during his introduction by stating he was
invited by Kapildeva Malaviya s to speak for them. When Mr. Malaviya s vouches for an individual,

East Timor Crisis Analysis

developmentally. Infrastructure concerns are a major domestic and government services are in
some locations are non existent. Strengthening its local economy has been key and is an area of
East Timorese success. East Timorboasted a GDP growth rate of 11.7% in 2014 when at
independence the nation experienced little economic activity. In 2000, the government took in a
revenue of 1.6 million total, mostly as duties on goods purchased by UN officials in East Timor. To

For decades all of the high skill positions were restricted to the Indonesian occupying body of East
Timor, adding a barrier to anyone in East Timor hoping to advance. Combined with the purge in
response to East Timor s independence referendum, outside aid has been essential to guiding its
development.
Political leadership in East Timor however has been an obstacle in the process of achieving actual
sustainable growth. Many leaders date to the period of Indonesian occupation and their leadership
styles reflect this. One example is the leadership style of its former Prime Minister Gusmao.
Gusmao was chiefly accused of leading neo patrimonially as a product of the resistance era
mentality. Part of these accusations come from his tendency to award contracts and consistently
make purchasing decisions without consulting the actual members of his cabinet. When advisors
were consulted, they were frequently other members of resistance groups dating back to Indonesian
occupation. East Timor s own laws are written to prevent such events, but the mentality of guerilla
leadership has lead to the idea officials can act unilaterally without a dialogue. Gusmao was
replaced in 2015, but this makes up the majority of the young nation s lifespan. Gusmao continues
to hold office as the minister of Finance, and several other major government positions are occupied
by other resistance leaders. Corruption is not an uncommon occurrence in developing nations, but

Mexican-American Culture
Culture, by my opinion, consists of the beliefs, morals, and traditions one is raised with. It s not
created out of nowhere; it is passed on from generation to generation. There are many cultures,
mine being Mexican American. My customs and beliefs come from a mix of both, not either
one or the other. My parents immigrated from Mexico in 1981 to give my siblings and I better
lives. They didn t want us to go through the hardships they did when they were our age. However,
that didn t keep us from learning about Mexican roots. My parents taught us Spanish from the very
beginning, not only to lose our Mexican roots, but also because they didn t know any English
when coming to this country. My siblings were already in their teen years when I was... Show more

By that, I mean that we aren t given as much importance as, say, Americans or Europeans. This
only pushes me to work harder for what I want and do whatever it takes to stand out and show
that I am perfect for whatever I m pursuing. Not being given as much importance is also due to
common misconceptions of my culture, like the misconception that Donald Trump and many
others have. They re bringing drugs, they re bringing crime, they re rapists, Trump stated about
the Mexican people. Sure there may be a number of people who are criminals that are of my
nationality, but all nationalities have criminals. Most Mexicans who come to this country don t
come to find or create crime, but rather to escape it. They want to live a better life and provide
better for their families, so they come to the land where all dreams are real in order to do that.
However, misconceptions like these keep Mexicans from gaining opportunities they deserve and
lose them to others who do not deserve

Literary Analysis Of The Wasteland, By T. S. Eliot
Analysis of The Wasteland The Wasteland, written by American born British poet T.S. Eliot, is
an epic poem that characterizes the Modernist movement. The poem captures the gloomy
mindset of post WWI society and profoundly guides the savage destruction of the Great War. The
Wasteland was Eliot s masterpiece and went on to become one of the most influential poems of
the 20th century. It exemplifies many of his specific techniques and is well known because of its
inventive poetic form. In the poem, Eliot skillfully utilizes form, symbolism, and diction to
depict the horrors of war s aftermath, signify the death of Western culture, and convey the dreary
worldwide view of the Modernist movement. Eliot s creative use of poetic form is one of the
hallmarks of The Wasteland and greatly contributed to the overall tone and mood. The structure of
the poem is uneven and almost discordant. It rapidly transitions between various unrelated scenes
at a rapid pace. For example, I read, much of the night and go south in the winter/What are the
roots that clutch, what branches grow... (19 20) illustrates an abrupt shift in the setting which
includes the speaker, time, and place. In the first line, the reader is listening to the story of Marie.
In the second line, however, the reader has been transported to a desert: a literal wasteland. This
choppy stream of images emphasizes a message about society: like the poem, society does not
progress smoothly and can even be unpredictable.

Tora Tor Tora Research Paper
Tora Tora Tora is a Japanese movie that portrays their side of things in World War II. The title,
Tora Tora Tora, was the Japanese codeword used to show that complete surprise had been
achieved. In August 1939, a US trade embargo was depriving Japan of raw materials. The
Japanese were preparing for war by forming an alliance with Germany and Italy. The Japanese
Commander in Chief ordered the planning of a surprise attack on the U.S. anchored fleet at Pearl
Harbor. Meanwhile the U.S. had managed to break the Japanese code and secret messages. These
messages indicated increased naval activity. This led to an increase in U.S. navy patrols. As months
passed, tensions increased. On the day of the attack, the U.S. decoded a message that talked... Show

With Tora Tora Tora being a Japanese movie, we all had to read subtitles. After a while of
reading subtitles it got boring. Pearl Harbor also had more of a storyline to it. Not only did it
have romance in it, which I enjoyed besides Evelyn doing Rafe wrong and going after his best
friend, it also had action it. The actual bombing scene was interesting to watch. Yes, at times it
was gruesome, but it kept you interested. I feel that the romance helped make the movie as good
as it was. The romance took away from some of the gruesome parts of the movie and helped
lighten the mood. The only bad thing about Pearl Harbor, in my opinion, was that Evelyn and
Danny did Rafe wrong. If you love somebody you don t go after their best friend as soon as you
find out they are dead. Danny also disrespected bro code and went after his best friend s girl. But,
Pearl Harbor overall was just a better movie than Tora Tora

The Judiciary And The Federal Budget
Poorly crafted statues almost always require future revision, sometimes in another moment of
crisis. This type of law making tends to increase the power of executive agencies as well as the
courts. Because the judiciary is forced to clarify legislation, to rule on its details and apply
legislation to uncertain situations, vague legislationends up allocating substantial power to the
judiciary. Imprecise and open ended statues often increase to power of executive agencies, too.
Such agencies are given broad mandates without much guidance or oversight.
Decades ago, the US Congress would assign specific priorities and focuses to federal agencies
when approving the yearly federal budget. This guidance is especially important because the
legislature exerts little other control over independent agencies, like the Federal Trade Commission
or the Federal Communications Commission. Now, because the federal budget is so often approved
during crisis conditions (and sometimes merely extends the previous year s budget into the next),
Congress offers little guidance to independent agencies. This enhances the power of independent
agencies while leaving them without guidance. Unger s preferred mode of organizing politics
would entail a substantial increase to the last minute compromises and revisions that cause such
confusion.
The courts, too, will be called upon to specify legislative details, meaning, and reach of legislation.
Many scholars in the legal realism camp

Carl Rogers 3 Core Conditions Analysis
Carl Rodgers 3 core conditions are basically attitudes that the counsellor displays that show
acceptance of the client, valuing them as a human being of worth. Offering empathy is very
important in counselling, counselling skills and any other forms of helping. This is because by
making efforts to be there with and for the person/client, trying to see how they feel about things
and how they sees things etc. Also, having an accepting manner can make a significant impact on
how successful your counselling is. By remaining un shocked, whatever the client brings and being
non judgemental no matter how much the client s/person s behaviour surprises or appals you. This
can be done by offering unconditional positive regard(UPR). This means maintaining respect for the
person, though not always condoning the behaviour.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rogers made a distinction between unconditional positive regard and conditional positive regard.
And lastly, summarizing is important for every counsellor. It condenses and crystallises the full
meaning of what the client is saying and feeling. Summaries usually cover a longer time period
than a paraphrase Where reflecting back whereas paraphrasing can be used after a few sentences.
A summary may be used after some time: perhaps half way through a counselling session, or near
the end of a counselling session. The other core condition of Rodger s theory is known as
congruence, this means the counsellor is genuine and real. This condition is important as it allows
the client to build a trusting relationship with the counsellor. The counsellor s congruence also can
help defeat negative attitudes or conditions of worth that others may have placed on the client;
perhaps someone has said to them that they are ugly, fat or stupid. The counsellor s warm and
genuine approach allows the client to feel valued, which in turn builds self esteem and trust in their
own

Mobile Versions Of The Mobile
version isn t perfect, but is definitely better than the mobile phone version. There is a lot more
information on the desktop version than the mobile. The mobile version only has two images
on the slide instead of four. The mobile version also only has three categories to choose from
instead of six. The user is also unable to access their account on the mobile version. Most mobile
versions have a link at the bottom of the desktop or full site version but it does not work. The full
site version link just opens up another tab that contains the mobile version and not the desktop
version like it is supposed to. The desktop version is the best option out of the two when looking
for all of the information. The site is pretty easily navigated the user can pick a category and see
all of the other categories within the category with ease. The only problem is the words, besides
the main categories, are very tiny. If a user has bad eyesight, it could be very hard for them to
see the sub categories or some of the other links on the websites. Even someone with good
eyesight still has to squint in order to read the words correctly. In order to make the site better
they should make the words bigger and if it being too crowded is the issue they should readjust
the sub categories in order for there to be fewer and make them bigger in order to read them more
easily. There is a text size button that helps to increase the size of the text but not by much and it
does make it look more crowded.

Earth And Venus Similarities
There are a total of eight known planets in our solar system which consist of four inner and four
outer planets; the four inner planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars, are known as the terrestrial
planets because not only are they the closest to the sun, but they are also Earth like, meaning that
they are similar to Earths composition and structure ( What is a Terrestrial Planet? ). While these
three planets bare close similarities, the planet that closely resembles Earth is Venus. Known as
the Sister Planets, or the Twins, Earth and Venus are said to share close similarities in relation to
their size, mass, density, composition, and distance from the sun ( Venus Compared to Earth
and Venus Information and Facts ). However, as Matt Williams (2016) suggests, while these two
planets may have been very similar early in their existence, just as with most siblings, as time
progressed, they began to change essentially transforming into two distinct, individual planets,
with very little in common. After the creation of the solar system, 4.5 years ago, Venus, just as
Earth, was said to have formed as gravity drew in a whirlwind of dust and gas ( Earth In Depth;
Venus In Depth ). Venus is the second planet from the sun (67,237,910 miles away), and the only
planet said to be named after a female the Roman goddess of love and beauty ( Planet Venus Facts
). On the other hand, as the only planet in the solar system not named after Greek and Roman gods

  • 2. Increasing Trend Of Non Albicans Cutaneous Candidiasis Increasing trend in Non albicans Cutaneous Candidiasis: Implications in treatment strategies Introduction: Cutaneous candidiasis is a secondary infection of the skin (body folds) and nails in predisposed patients.1 The disease involvement may be localised or generalised to the skin or nails.2 The clinical manifestations of Candidiasis are of three types: mucocutaneous, cutaneous, and systemic.3 The spectrum of Cutaneous candidiasis (CC): includes intertrigo, diaper candidiasis, paronychia, and onychomycosis.4 Infections thrush, intertrigo, enterogastritis and others have long been known to be due to abnormal proliferation of Candida cells.5 Candida species other than C.albicans have become a significant cause of infection in humans.6 Several of these species are less susceptible to commonly used azole antifungal drugs.6 Hence, the identification of the Candida isolates upto species level along with their antifungal susceptibility patterns can greatly influence the treatment options for the clinicians and may have an impact on the patient care.7 Hence this study was done. Aims and objectives: 1.To isolate Candida species from suspected cases of Cutaneous Candidiasis. 2.To speciate the isolated Candida. 3.To find the antifungal susceptibility for voriconazole and fluconazole among the isolates. Materials Methods: A total of 200 patients presenting with the symptoms of Cutaneous ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Tanglewood Case Two Tanglewood Case 2 Strategic Staffing (HR 594) Summer Session B comronf@gmail.com TANGLEWOOD CASE TWO ATT: Daryl Perrone After analyzing the data and performing an environmental scan it is clear that the demographics of Spokane, Washington will present you will problems filling vacancies based on the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements. Spokane is the second largest city in Washington and according to my research 84% of these people are white. The next largest minority group, Hispanic, is only at 5% and the third largest group is mixed races which is just 3.8%. As you can see Tacoma, Washington is not very diverse and finding the enough competent employees from minoritygroups may be difficult given the fact that there are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This means that you will need to change your recruitment practices and perhaps extend beyond Tacoma to find talent. Realistically I don t see Tanglewood meeting the demands for minority incumbency for the store associate position in a single year. Hiring internally gives the current employees more hope and will improve the problem you are facing with keeping your employees loyal to the company. Although focusing primarily on internal promotions decreases the chance of finding a stellar employee, it will solve a lot of the current problems your company is facing. I recommend that you promote current females and minorities internally. This will keep more low entry level employees motivated to stay and also improve your problems with incumbency percentages as well. Wood himself mentioned in a recent interview with Business Monthly that, Tanglewood really needs to slow down and take a hard look at our corporate culture . He goes on by saying, Right now, we need to consolidate and make sure we re as close to the company s original mission as we can be . Taking this quote into consideration it is clear that the recent expansion increases have destroyed the relationship between the low level employees and Tanglewood. This does not merely apply to the Washington stores, but to rather the entire store as a whole. People are running in and out of this company and the only way to stop the large percentage of people ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Essay on Olaudah Equiano The Horrid Journey If it were not for the stories past down from generation to generation or the documentations in historical books, the history of the twelve million African slaves that traveled the Middle Passage in miserable conditions would not exist. Olaudah Equiano contributes to this horrid history with The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano. Through this narrative, the appalling personal experience of each slave is depicted. He accomplishes his rhetorical purpose of informing the world of the slave experience in this narrative. His use of unique style and rhetorical devices in this conveying narrative portray his imperative rhetorical purpose. Throughout Equiano s works, a unique style is evident. This... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this, however, it depicts the complex journey of the African slaves that struggled to become equal. In addition, Equiano s use of imagery clearly depicts the journey of the Africans slaves, such as The closeness of the place, and the heat of the climate, added to the number in the ship, which was so crowded that each had scarcely room to turn himself, almost suffocated us (45). Through the portrayal of this vivid imagery, the reader can feel the distress of the slaves in which they encountered the journey of the Middle Passage. He emphasizes his emotions, ideals, and thoughts through the imagery. With the uses of this vivid imagery along with high diction and intricate sentences, Equiano successfully attempts to inform the reader of the horrid journey of slave transportation. However, it is not only his unique style alone that fulfils his rhetorical purpose of depicting the appalling slave experience; in addition, his several rhetorical devices aid to do so. Equiano s rhetorical devices which include ethos, pathos, and logos abet to define and accomplish his rhetorical purpose. His ethos, or ethical assurance, is conveyed in his level of education portrayed by his sentence structure and high diction. Furthermore, as proven in historical documents, Equiano was a slave aboard one of the many slave ships. With this, the reader can accredit Equiano s narrative to be a reliable and first hand source to the journey of the Middle Passage. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Imperialism In The 21st Century Now we ve got it covered now we can ensure it s understood: Trump is not an outsider, first of all. He s an elitist among elitists, and he s being pushed by the elite to win this election. Why, now? Divide et impera! The more stratified we are by imaginary lines (white/black male/female straight /gay cis/trans rich/poor binary/non binary), the less united we are in empathy and objective conscience. The elite are mostly white, mostly male, mostly straight, mostly cisgender, and guaranteed to be rich as rich can be. If the other categories of human are repressed and removed, they can have all the free reign they want! Last year we had two terrors in two cities: Paris and San Bernardino. These terrorist attacks, fueled by Western imperialism,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... France s Marine Le Pen of the neo Nazi National Front is gaining massive traction. UKIP, the British party that serves as a toned down front for the Holocaust denying British National Party, is polling extremely well. Over here, we have Trump. Trump, the reality star. Trump, the obnoxious billionaire. Trump, the audacious racist who wants to expand the USA PATRIOT Act and grant even more power to the NSA. Trump, the ultimate neo fascist. What happened to the Jews and Roma in Germany, what happened to the Armenians and Assyrians in the Ottoman Empire, what s happening now to the Yezidis and Shi a Muslims in ISIS controlled territory and to the Palestinians in their occupied land it can and will happen here. If Trump (the definite psychopath) wins (along with his European counterparts), propelled by the alt right (his paramoralistic schizoidal minions), he s guaranteed to cause a Hell on Earth so great that it will rival the greatest tragedies of all the past. The eschaton or endgame plan of the global elite is a Fourth Reich that will conquer the globe in World War III. The very survival of our species is at terrible risk. • 7. Colossal Figure Of Akhenaten Essay The Colossal Figure of Akhenaten was built during the Amarna Period, which was a period of change. The ruler was Amenhotep IV who changed his name to Akhenaten around 1348 BC. Akhenaten changed the religion from polytheism to monotheism and he moved the capital of Egypt from Thebes to Akhetaten. He also changed the artwork of the time, which is clearly shown in the Colossal Statue of Akhenaten. This statue was placed southeast of the Temple of Karnack where a temple for the (new) one God, Aten, was built. The Statue is a depiction of Akhenaten. It is about 16 feet tall and made of sandstone that has traces of polychromy within it. The reason why the Amarna Period art is drastically different is because the pharaoh, Akhenaten, was depicted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Akhenaten s statue has none of those qualities. It depicts the pharaoh as having a large stomach, not flat abs, which is shown by the obvious natural, curved line that is just above the sash and is the most prominent distortion. This is also an implied line that enunciates the imperfect body shape of the statue. The protruding stomach also creates a natural shadow that further shows the distorted features. Continuing downward on the statue to the sash there is also a natural, curved line that goes upward towards the thin waistline. This shows a feminine quality that men should not have. On the clothing, there is an implied overlapping with the pieces of cloth in the front shown by the layering effect. Also, on the clothing there are implied lines that seem to curve around the statue. They all seem to be drawn to an unseen focal point near the top of the sash, creating movement. This implies that the clothing is wrinkled giving it a different texture then the rest of the statue which is smooth. It also emphasizes the feminine curve to his body. This is also emphasized by the lines that are further apart on top and as the body narrows, the lines get closer together like the fabric has to stretch more around the ... Every defense has a defensive front, different coverages, unique blitzes, and they all have the same positions. Defense is what gives a team an edge. It is the difference in a good team and a great team. A good defense keeps the opposing team s offense off of the field, limiting their chances to score. While doing so, they are increasing their chances to score by keeping their team s offense on the field as much as possible. The foundation of every defense is the defensive front. The front refers to where each position is when lined up. The seven most common fronts are the 4 3, the 3 4, the 4 4, the 5 2, the 5 3, the 6 2, the Goal Line Defense. ... Before this, football was all about power, ball control offenses. As a result, that is what defenses were used to defending. As short precision passing offenses became more and more popular, defenses need an answer to stop these offenses. The answer was the zone blitz. The clubhouse was strange, dark, smelled of coffee, and full of smoke there, the people were all so different, but all of them seemed to know some secret code, plus they seemed to talk as if reading bumper stickers. As I kept coming back, I began to feel more comfortable, understand what was going on, and want what these people had. People at these meetingswere open, appeared comfortable in their own skins, and had such, dramatic, fascinating stories that were dark, yet somehow uplifting. Since that time, I have been to a plethora of various types of meetings at various locations, but there is a theme throughout of trust, and a bond of acceptance that makes one feel welcome wherever one goes to a meeting. Therefore, I had a plan to go to Allentown with my fiancГ©e to an NA meeting he used to go to on Saturday night, however, as things sometimes happens, this did not go as planned. Not to worry, I have learned long ago that alternative meetings can work just as well, or better. • 16. Who Is Sister Carrie Rebel Although Dreiser makes several generalizations about women at the beginning of the novel, which might lead the author to be seen as conservative, his empathy for Carrie s position seems to represent his view on contemporary women. Thus, Sister Carrie is initially described as having an average little conscience , and being urged into the position of the traditional women (Dreiser 92). However, despite the fact that she wants to be a consumerist, Carrie can certainly be considered to be a rebel. When the Hansons tried to transform her personality, her heart revolted as much as when Hurstwood attemped to narrow her desires (324). Carrie as a character depicts this transformation. At first, she is a model of True Woman , then she becomes a modern New Woman. She does not want to follow the ideal women were supposed to follow and, thus, she rebels not only against her husband Hurstwood, but also against society and the common social and economic discrimination. When Carrie decides to seek a job again, the story turns and she changes places with Hurstwood, who is now unemployed. This is described as the beginning of the new order (Dreiser 377) and is the main decisive turning point in the novel. Carrie starts earning money, covering all of her and Hurstwood s living cost, while he does the grocery shopping. We can see that Carrie does not understand his unemployment, claiming that [n]o man could go seven months without finding something if he tried (Dreiser 380). Thus, the novel as a whole demonstrates how this social and economic rise of the New Women is not only connected but congruent to a certain decline of the male gender, designated as a crisis of masculinity by historians (Brod, Harry. The Case for Men s Studies. The Making of Masculinities: The New Men s Studies. Ed. Harry Brod. Boston: Allen Unwin, 1987, pp. 39 62.). For someone like George Hurstwood, who is a married manager of Fitzgerald and Moy s, the loss of his ability to maintain his status seems to represent this crisis accurately. Within this shift, a major change in gender relation follows. Carrie and Hurstwood move into different social and economic directions, drawing attention to the restructure of Victorian assumptions regarding male and female understanding. Dreiser metaphorically remarks this: with the tables turned, she was looking down, rather than up, to her lover (184). As aforementioned, with Hurstwoods s downfall, Dreiser might want to point out how even rich and successful people happen to lose all what they have. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If you weren t there when you were told to be then you would fall court martial under article 87 in the UCMJ, which is missing movement. At the end of the Nineteenth century life was difficult for labouring classes due to the constant long hours of manual labour, the financial problems from the low pay, and the stresses of pandemics across the country. Working Children/Adults had difficult lives because their jobs were usually severely energy consuming and in extremely bad cases some developed deformities due to their ruthless occupations. Additionally, familylife could be difficult due to the insufficient wages and therefore a possibly inadequate amount of food. Luxuries were also scarce among the family and dependent on their jobs, families would rarely see one and other. Housing was also huge issue in the industrial revolutiondue to the highly populated cities where there were small but populated and cramped houses spreading diseases very quickly. The lives of working children from labouring class families at the end of Nineteenth century were hard, tough and strenuous. Children normally had to work because not enough money was being made in their family however the factories preferred to employ orphans because there were many in the orphanages and they could be easily replaced if an accident was to happen. Additionally, although these jobs did not earn much, it was normally enough to buy them a meal (under 11 year old boys in Lancashire received 2s3d). Songs That Have Stood the Test of Time and Geography Part 1 Background and Identification There are quite a number of songs that have stood the test of time and geography to remain as vital and popular today as they were when first composed. Perhaps it is because some of these songs simply transcend time and place and appeal to the core of human emotion. Who cannot feel a thrill of excitement and humanity at the finale of Beethoven s 9th Symphony, or shed a tear at a favorite Christmas carol? One song that fits this transcendence is La Vie En Rose, literally, Life in Pink. This was first made popular in 1946 by French torch singer Edith Piaf. Translated from the French idiom, the piece means seeing life through rose colored glasses, rather perfect for Piaff s life and vocal talent, and even more perfect for a world turned upside down because of World War II. At first, Piaf s colleagues and team did not think the song would be at all successful, yet it became a favorite with audiences around the world, and Piaf s signature song (Bret, 2009). The song quickly became so popular it was translated into several languages, and then the greatest compliment of all imitated by singers in many different genres. Ironic since the words were almost hastily scribbled on a cocktail napkin while Piaf was drinking with her friend Marianne Michel at a cafГѓ on the Champs Elysees (Burke, 2011, p. 118). Canada Renewable Energy Case Study 2.2 The wrong definition of the market and the creation of the market 2.21 A brief introduction of Canada Renewable Energy/FIT In Canada Renewable Energy/FIT, the AB made several innovations which were criticized by commentators. The argument started from the provision of FIT system by the government of the Canadian Province of Ontario. The province of Ontario provided a feed in tariff program to the renewable energy (wind and solar energy) producers which compromised 20 year price guarantee. Then, the Panel and the AB were required to determine whether the province of Ontario conferred advantages on the renewable energy producers. It was the responsibility for the complainants (Japan and Europe) to prove that the actions of the province ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To be specific, the AB stated even if the demand side factors suggested that the definition of the market should be a single electricity market, regardless of its sources, the supply side elements also implied that the renewable energy market created by the government should be the market benchmark which should be distinguished from the regular energy market. As stated above, it is clear that the theories of supply side and demand side were in the equal position. Therefore, there was not enough evidence for the AB to abandon the theory of demand side . As these two theories were in the equal position, the consumers views should be worth referring to. To be specific, the Panel found that the consumers do not distinguish electricity on the basis of generation technologies, prices and usage. Furthermore, the AB also expressed the same opinion, saying electricity is identical and there is high demand substitutability between electricity through various technologies. Obviously, the consumers did not care about the electricity generation sources. In sum, according to the EU experiences and the attitudes of the consumers, the definition of the market should not be confined to a renewable energy market, instead, a broader wholesale electricity market should be the appropriate benchmark. If the renewable energy market is adopted to measure subsidies, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Criterion Related Validity is the extent to which a test or questionnaire predicts some future or desired outcome, for example work behaviour or on the job performance. This validity has obvious importance in personnel selection, recruitment and development. Whenever possible, the statistical evaluation of the relationship between selection measures and valued business outcomes is desirable. This type of validation is known as criterion related validation and it can provide concrete evidence of the accuracy of a test for predicting job performance. Criterion validation involves a statistical study that provides hard evidence of the relationship between scores on pre employment assessments and valued business outcomes related to job performance. The statistical evidence resulting from this process provides a clear understanding of the ROI provided by the testing process and thus helps document the value provided. Criterion related validation also provides support for the legal defensibility of an assessment because it clarifies the assessment s accuracy as a decision making tool. While criterion related validation may seem mysterious, it has much in common with two more well known concepts that are used to help find value within business processes: six sigma and business intelligence. Both of these methods require that data be examined in order to help clarify relations between various process components. The resulting information can be used to help streamline business processes and uncover meaningful relationships between various streams of data. When a star reaches about middle age, it starts fusing hydrogen into helium. Once it has run out of usable hydrogen that it can convert into helium, it can then take on one of several paths. Eventually the implosion bounces back off the core, expelling the stellar material into space. What s left is a neutron star. Type I supernovaes lack a hydrogen signature in their light spectra. These type of supernovae are generally thought to originate from white dwarf stars in a close binary system. • 39. The Importance Of Education And Lifelong Learning Education and Lifelong Learning. The ALA s fifth value centers on the library s need to provide opportunities to their communities for life long learning. Librarians are encouraged to promote the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of a learning society (Core Values of Librarianship, 2004) through their work. The concepts behind the OA Publishing movement work in tandem with the efforts of librarians to establish life long learning lifelines to patrons by providing free access to what was once expensive and/or inaccessible information. Access to academic data should not be limited to those with the good fortune to have resources available to them at will. All people with the desire and drive to access and utilize academic research should be afforded the opportunity to do so regardless of their financial situation or institutional affiliation. OA journals allow for self directed learning to take place outside the traditional constraint of an academic environment, thus it actively promotes continued education and learning opportunities for non traditional information communities. Intellectual Freedom. The ALA clearly supports the resistance of censorship in libraries. Librarians serve their communities as facilitators of information access. Actively expurgating content in an attempt to safeguard users from what has been arbitrarily deemed non compliant is in direct conflict with the objectives of information dissemination. Open access initiatives run parallel to the principles of intellectual freedom in that both advocate for increased access to information (Peet, 2017). Although similar, fighting for open accessand fighting against censorship are not quite the same enterprise; however, they do share a common enemy: economic barriers to content (Peet, 2017). Although some have more than others, all institutions have certain budgetary restrictions placed on them. In order to acquire electronic resources for their patrons, libraries often purchase pre bundled electronic materials from vendors and publishers. These bundles are often inconsistently priced, and may include unnecessary applications and exclude valuable resources. As a result, the bundling business model can serve to ... They re bringing drugs, they re bringing crime, they re rapists, Trump stated about the Mexican people. Sure there may be a number of people who are criminals that are of my nationality, but all nationalities have criminals. Most Mexicans who come to this country don t come to find or create crime, but rather to escape it. They want to live a better life and provide better for their families, so they come to the land where all dreams are real in order to do that. However, misconceptions like these keep Mexicans from gaining opportunities they deserve and lose them to others who do not deserve ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. Literary Analysis Of The Wasteland, By T. S. Eliot Analysis of The Wasteland The Wasteland, written by American born British poet T.S. Eliot, is an epic poem that characterizes the Modernist movement. The poem captures the gloomy mindset of post WWI society and profoundly guides the savage destruction of the Great War. The Wasteland was Eliot s masterpiece and went on to become one of the most influential poems of the 20th century. It exemplifies many of his specific techniques and is well known because of its inventive poetic form. In the poem, Eliot skillfully utilizes form, symbolism, and diction to depict the horrors of war s aftermath, signify the death of Western culture, and convey the dreary worldwide view of the Modernist movement. Eliot s creative use of poetic form is one of the hallmarks of The Wasteland and greatly contributed to the overall tone and mood. The structure of the poem is uneven and almost discordant. It rapidly transitions between various unrelated scenes at a rapid pace. For example, I read, much of the night and go south in the winter/What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow... (19 20) illustrates an abrupt shift in the setting which includes the speaker, time, and place. In the first line, the reader is listening to the story of Marie. In the second line, however, the reader has been transported to a desert: a literal wasteland. This choppy stream of images emphasizes a message about society: like the poem, society does not progress smoothly and can even be unpredictable. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. Tora Tor Tora Research Paper Tora Tora Tora is a Japanese movie that portrays their side of things in World War II. The title, Tora Tora Tora, was the Japanese codeword used to show that complete surprise had been achieved. In August 1939, a US trade embargo was depriving Japan of raw materials. The Japanese were preparing for war by forming an alliance with Germany and Italy. The Japanese Commander in Chief ordered the planning of a surprise attack on the U.S. anchored fleet at Pearl Harbor. Meanwhile the U.S. had managed to break the Japanese code and secret messages. These messages indicated increased naval activity. This led to an increase in U.S. navy patrols. As months passed, tensions increased. On the day of the attack, the U.S. decoded a message that talked... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With Tora Tora Tora being a Japanese movie, we all had to read subtitles. After a while of reading subtitles it got boring. Pearl Harbor also had more of a storyline to it. Not only did it have romance in it, which I enjoyed besides Evelyn doing Rafe wrong and going after his best friend, it also had action it. The actual bombing scene was interesting to watch. Yes, at times it was gruesome, but it kept you interested. I feel that the romance helped make the movie as good as it was. The romance took away from some of the gruesome parts of the movie and helped lighten the mood. The only bad thing about Pearl Harbor, in my opinion, was that Evelyn and Danny did Rafe wrong. If you love somebody you don t go after their best friend as soon as you find out they are dead. Danny also disrespected bro code and went after his best friend s girl. But, Pearl Harbor overall was just a better movie than Tora Tora ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 49. The Judiciary And The Federal Budget Poorly crafted statues almost always require future revision, sometimes in another moment of crisis. This type of law making tends to increase the power of executive agencies as well as the courts. Because the judiciary is forced to clarify legislation, to rule on its details and apply legislation to uncertain situations, vague legislationends up allocating substantial power to the judiciary. Imprecise and open ended statues often increase to power of executive agencies, too. Such agencies are given broad mandates without much guidance or oversight. Decades ago, the US Congress would assign specific priorities and focuses to federal agencies when approving the yearly federal budget. This guidance is especially important because the legislature exerts little other control over independent agencies, like the Federal Trade Commission or the Federal Communications Commission. Now, because the federal budget is so often approved during crisis conditions (and sometimes merely extends the previous year s budget into the next), Congress offers little guidance to independent agencies. This enhances the power of independent agencies while leaving them without guidance. Unger s preferred mode of organizing politics would entail a substantial increase to the last minute compromises and revisions that cause such confusion. The courts, too, will be called upon to specify legislative details, meaning, and reach of legislation. Many scholars in the legal realism camp ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 50. Carl Rogers 3 Core Conditions Analysis Carl Rodgers 3 core conditions are basically attitudes that the counsellor displays that show acceptance of the client, valuing them as a human being of worth. Offering empathy is very important in counselling, counselling skills and any other forms of helping. This is because by making efforts to be there with and for the person/client, trying to see how they feel about things and how they sees things etc. Also, having an accepting manner can make a significant impact on how successful your counselling is. By remaining un shocked, whatever the client brings and being non judgemental no matter how much the client s/person s behaviour surprises or appals you. This can be done by offering unconditional positive regard(UPR). This means maintaining respect for the person, though not always condoning the behaviour.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Rogers made a distinction between unconditional positive regard and conditional positive regard. And lastly, summarizing is important for every counsellor. It condenses and crystallises the full meaning of what the client is saying and feeling. Summaries usually cover a longer time period than a paraphrase Where reflecting back whereas paraphrasing can be used after a few sentences. A summary may be used after some time: perhaps half way through a counselling session, or near the end of a counselling session. The other core condition of Rodger s theory is known as congruence, this means the counsellor is genuine and real. This condition is important as it allows the client to build a trusting relationship with the counsellor. The counsellor s congruence also can help defeat negative attitudes or conditions of worth that others may have placed on the client; perhaps someone has said to them that they are ugly, fat or stupid. The counsellor s warm and genuine approach allows the client to feel valued, which in turn builds self esteem and trust in their own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 51. Mobile Versions Of The Mobile version isn t perfect, but is definitely better than the mobile phone version. There is a lot more information on the desktop version than the mobile. The mobile version only has two images on the slide instead of four. The mobile version also only has three categories to choose from instead of six. The user is also unable to access their account on the mobile version. Most mobile versions have a link at the bottom of the desktop or full site version but it does not work. The full site version link just opens up another tab that contains the mobile version and not the desktop version like it is supposed to. The desktop version is the best option out of the two when looking for all of the information. The site is pretty easily navigated the user can pick a category and see all of the other categories within the category with ease. The only problem is the words, besides the main categories, are very tiny. If a user has bad eyesight, it could be very hard for them to see the sub categories or some of the other links on the websites. Even someone with good eyesight still has to squint in order to read the words correctly. In order to make the site better they should make the words bigger and if it being too crowded is the issue they should readjust the sub categories in order for there to be fewer and make them bigger in order to read them more easily. There is a text size button that helps to increase the size of the text but not by much and it does make it look more crowded. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 52. Earth And Venus Similarities There are a total of eight known planets in our solar system which consist of four inner and four outer planets; the four inner planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars, are known as the terrestrial planets because not only are they the closest to the sun, but they are also Earth like, meaning that they are similar to Earths composition and structure ( What is a Terrestrial Planet? ). While these three planets bare close similarities, the planet that closely resembles Earth is Venus. Known as the Sister Planets, or the Twins, Earth and Venus are said to share close similarities in relation to their size, mass, density, composition, and distance from the sun ( Venus Compared to Earth and Venus Information and Facts ). However, as Matt Williams (2016) suggests, while these two planets may have been very similar early in their existence, just as with most siblings, as time progressed, they began to change essentially transforming into two distinct, individual planets, with very little in common. After the creation of the solar system, 4.5 years ago, Venus, just as Earth, was said to have formed as gravity drew in a whirlwind of dust and gas ( Earth In Depth; Venus In Depth ). Venus is the second planet from the sun (67,237,910 miles away), and the only planet said to be named after a female the Roman goddess of love and beauty ( Planet Venus Facts ). On the other hand, as the only planet in the solar system not named after Greek and Roman gods or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
