What is women empowerment?
 It refers to increasing the spiritual, political, social or
economic strength of women.
 It often involves the empowered developing
confidence in their own capacities.
Why we need empowerment?
 Educational problems
 Society
 Gender prejudice
 Low confidence
 Lack of unity
 Problem related with health
 Poverty and Ignorance
 Traditional barriers
Government steps
 Since independence, efforts have been made to
educate women on various political, economical and
social issues
 They have made various laws in constitution of India
 There are many NGOs running and organization for
welfare of women
 Government is making efforts for upliftment of women
 They are trying to eradicate and remove problems
which women are facing from past

 In this contemporary world, women need to gain same
amount of power that men have
 Women should forget that men are holders of power
 They are backbone of society
 Women should be empowered in different sections like
education, politics, work force and even more power within
their own households
 They play the most important role of keeping the family
together
 If they are empowered, they will do work with more trust
and more attention and take others work as their own
 If you educate a women she will educate the whole family

 Women are leaders everywhere you look, a CEO to
housewife that holds together a home. Our country
was built by women who stand alone
 Empowered women can exert power to shape their
families, communities and countries
 Women should be respected as well as her needs and
aspirations as she can only give best to society
