Microsoft has been delivering internet services for over 15 years. Online properties comprise 15% of all users’ time online. In Xbox Live’s history, people have spent 15 billion hours on the services that more than 7 million hours per day of gaming, communicating, and accessing services and media. Microsoft is now on a 3rd generation datacenter design with cloud services offerings across all the continents. Bing is the fastest growing search engine with >2 billion queries a month. - #37 Very important to emphasize that SQL Azure can stand alone as a data storage solution for ANY kind of application (front-end). Of course it can be used with Windows Azure, however, this is by NO MEANS a requirement. This is a key message in this deck.Again, point out that most early-adopting customers are using some type of hybrid data storage strategy, i.e. on-prem AND cloud, relational AND non-relational. Also, the application topology decision should really be based on the application workload…Is it chatty? Large amounts of data transferred?Code Far works with any type of code – i.e. Java, etc.. Does NOT have to be Azure or .NET
