2. Having worked in retail for over six years, I have excellent customer service qualities and recent
employers have informed me that this particular skill was one of my stronger points. This has
allowed me to perform different tasks in previous retail jobs such as promoting store cards and
meeting any other staff targets. I also have the ability to deal with particular problems in the
store which again has been emphasized to me by recent employers like merchandising certain
areas of the store for 100% impact and presentation.
Working with the same company for the three years I had been part of the management team
for two, bringing other responsibilities such as providing targets and keeping staff motivated,
compiling shift patterns on a weekly basis, also employing and training staff to ensure we have
the strongest team possible while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere in the store.
During my employment with Telefónica O2 UK, I have had the opportunity to enhance my
customer services skills on another level. Having only dealt with customers face to face, I’ve
had to adapt to a call centre environment dealing with both basic and more complex issues over
the phone. This was a new experience though very interesting at the same time as I have a
natural interest in technology and problem solving while always maintaining an exceptional level
of customer rapport.
My job role as a customer service advisor has given me the opportunity to learn new ways in
dealing with the public as well as adapting to specific programs which the business relies on in a
daily basis. I feel that over the past 6 years of employment with Telefónica O2 UK, I have
developed a great understanding and knowledge of how to deliver what is expected of me in a
professional and positive manner.
My current job role with Santander UK is described as a personal banking consultant. In this
position I am responsible for dealing with current and potential Santander customers while
servicing and discussing in detail new products we offer on the financial market. In this role I
have developed additional skills required for working in a sales environment, aiming for KPI’s
set out by the business and delivering a professional experience along the way involves a high
level of understanding of customers’ expectations and business requirements, as well as
developing a continuous positive relationship.

recently registered to take part in the Glen Coe half marathon 2015 to which I hope to raise
