Personal Profile
My name is Sean Lougheed. I am a student of Dundalk Institute of Technology, I am in
my second year of my three year Bachelor of Business and Management degree. At this
stage in my life I am looking for a job I can sue to fund myself while I study. I am
mainly interested in Bar, Retail and Club work. Ideal working hours a week would be
between 20 - 28 hours. I have worked in a high pressure fast paced job before (see my
work history further on)so I would be well accostumed to working in bars and retail when
work is fast paced.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor of Business and Management.
Course Length - Level 7, 3 year course with the option of a 4th year.
Course Focus - The main objective of this course is to equip me with the necessary tools
to manage a business efficiently. I am well versed in modules including Business Maths,
Marketing, Advertising, Spanish, Accounting among others such as Research and
Communication, Creativity and Innovation. Useful modules such as Essential Office
applications have equipped me with the skills to use Microsoft Word and Excel Office.
Award In Kick Start Level 1 Soccer
This is an award I received from the FAI for completing a course that qualifies me to
teach children football. This was a rewarding and insightful award that gave me new
skills such as the ability to look over manage sporting events, it taught me to be very
focused on my work.
Award in Children's Athletics
I have an award in children's athletics, it is a basic award that allows me to teach children
from the ages 5 - 10 the rewards of Athletics. Much like the footballing award I also
have it taught me new skills such as ensuring and maintaining a safe work environment.

2. Employment History
Hibernia Steel LTD Drogheda - Summer 2013 + Summer 2014.
In the summer of 2013 and 2014 I worked in Hibernia Steel LTD, a steel retailer located
in Drogheda. I was a yard hand, I had a number of key responsibilities such as the
following
• Taking in new stock which could weigh up to 5 tons and using heavy machinery
to place it in with the existing stock. Receiving orders of steel from customers
and staff members. I would have to gather the required material using heavy
machinery and put the loads on vehicles such as trucks and vans. Cleaning of the
yard and indoors, maintaining a clean and safe working environment. I also had
to help with the altering of existing stock to for the needs of the customer eg
resizing of the steel. Aiding and assisting senior staff members with whatever
they needed.
This job that I had over two summers taught me a number of essential fundamental
working skills and knowledge such as the following
• The ability to work under high pressure while keeping focus on my work. I
developed exemplary customer service skills. I learned to work in a team, fitting
into a cohesive unit to carry out our jobs quickly, efficiently and safely.
Interests and Activities
I have a number of hobbies and interests. I am an avid supported of Manchester United
football club and I played football for teams such as Duleek and Dkit football team. I
have played against the likes of wolves and other French and Spanish clubs during my
time playing football. I also used to play Gaelic and train MMA. I am a huge fan of
fighters such as Conor McGregor and Uriah Faber. I also like to act in short films and I
write my own stories.
Skills and Achievements
I am skilled in microsoft office, word and excel. I got an opportunity to present my topic
of the Aviation industry to my entire year, over 100 students. Different lecturers attended
the event, my partner Cathal and I appeared in the college newspaper for our work.
Marketing gave me the skills to research a target market, finding the demographic of the
product. I am adept at advertising. I can get a product and create an advertising
campaign that bests suits the clients budget and needs.
