This was a temporary Christmas position for a busy retailer. My role here involved
merchandising to accumulate more stock onto the shelves and enhance sales for the
store. I also spent time in the warehouse organising stock and distributing to staff for
correct aisle positioning. I enjoyed utilising my customer service skills.
2012-2013: Managed Eco, a shoe shop on but had to give it up due to
personal/family reasons.
2012: Past Times: Store Manager:
In this seasonal Christmas role I employed and trained all my staff to provide and
deliver a high standard of all round, Customer Service. My main duties included
appraisals, training to progress my staff and organising rotas. I overlooked the stock
control and merchandising within the store in addition to all financial aspects and
ensured the smooth running of the store on a daily basis.
2011: Wild Planet Store/ Natural History Museum (NHM): Store Manager:
My role as a Store Manager was contracted for 6 months, for Wild Planet, a retail
department for the NHM. This is a touring exhibition which travels around cities
showing the Wildlife Photographer of the year competition winners.
2. 2010-2011: Instant Vintage: Store Manager:
This role as a vintage clothes manager was for maternity cover for the stores
owners. My main duties consisted of merchandising to represent and promote the
seasons. Having good knowledge
of trends and keeping updated with new styles I also introduced monthly store
meetings, targets and turnover, which proved to be a positive step forward.
2008 – 2009: Touchstone Property Services: Property Manager
In my position as a property manager, my portfolio consisted of around 500
properties. My main duties were in administration and organisation within the lettings
team and reporting directly to the directors. With my IT skills and experience
including Microsoft applications, I was also able to pick up and work with the in-
house system Qube. This position required an extremely high level of
professionalism and excellent customer service skills.
