WI-FI BASED SMART
CONTROLLER for watering plants ,trees &herbs

OBJECTIVE
The objectives of our project are:
 To have a centralized control for detecting and
controlling soil moisture level situated at remote places.
 To save electricity and water which plays a vital role
in our life.
 To use human resource in a rightful manner by
automation.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
 Dynamic Water Utilization for Trees, Plants and Herbs
PROPOSED MODEL
 Using components like ESP 8266, sensor and Arduino
transfer the soil moisture levels and control the levels.
WORKING
 Sense the moisture level of the soil for particular
area(ex:department) and give that information to ESP
8266 present in that particular department.
 Then transfer all the areas(departments) information from
their respective ESP 8266 modules to ECE department’s
ESP module.
 Computations are done by arduino in ECE department and
control messages are sent to each department’s module.
 Based on the control messages the pump motor is
switched ON/OFF using relays.

 The ESP8266 is a low-cost Wi-Fi chip with full TCP/IP
stack and MCU (microcontroller unit) capability

WI-FI BASED SMART CONTROLLER FOR WATERING TREES AND PLANTS

  • 1. WI-FI BASED SMART CONTROLLER for watering plants ,trees &herbs RETHNAPRIYA.R  
  • 2. OBJECTIVE The objectives of our project are:  To have a centralized control for detecting and controlling soil moisture level situated at remote places.  To save electricity and water which plays a vital role in our life.  To use human resource in a rightful manner by automation.
  • 3. PROBLEM STATEMENT  Dynamic Water Utilization for Trees, Plants and Herbs
  • 4. PROPOSED MODEL  Using components like ESP 8266, sensor and Arduino transfer the soil moisture levels and control the levels.
  • 5. WORKING  Sense the moisture level of the soil for particular area(ex:department) and give that information to ESP 8266 present in that particular department.  Then transfer all the areas(departments) information from their respective ESP 8266 modules to ECE department’s ESP module.  Computations are done by arduino in ECE department and control messages are sent to each department’s module.  Based on the control messages the pump motor is switched ON/OFF using relays.
