Who would be the audience for my media product ?
- 1. Who would be the audience for my media product? My target audience for my film would be a mass audience and could range from 12 upwards. After researching age certificates we felt 12 would be an appropriate age for our film. Some older people such as mothers may watch our movie as they would be able to easily sympathise with the main character, as they are able to relate it to their own lives. We felt that the majority of people who watched our movie would be female as they can relate to the main character, but also some males may be interested We found this by asking a range of people through our questionnaire, the people asked were of a teenage/young adult age as we felt that horror was a popular and appalling genre among younger people. We found from the questionnaire also that many of the people wanted a relatable and more realistic story line as it allows for the audience to sympathise and imagine how they would feel in that situation. As our film was created and based in Uk , Kent we felt it was only appropriate to base our audience in the uk.
