 Without the audience, film has no purpose. We aimed for our audience to obviously
enjoy watching the film, but also spread the word about it too. But to do this we
needed audience feedback.
 After we had finished our treatment, myself and Becky went out to interview
random members of the public in Barnsley, mostly near the Barnsley interchange as
we expected a different range of people to be going in and out. Most people were
happy to be interviewed, including a police officer.
 Before we went out we wrote up a detailed questionnaire with
our first synopsis and questions around it, including questions
about whether they like it, what certificate it should be and if
they thought there was any room for improvement. We
interviewed about 10-20 people which is a reliable amount of
people. With the answers to our questions we could determine
whether or not to change our synopsis for the audience‟s
satisfaction. Also to make our questionnaire even more reliable
we filmed each other asking the public questions to show that
our survey is not plagiarised.
 When we had told our audience our synopsis, we asked them
whether they would watch it for free, pay and watch it or not
watch it. From our results we noticed that most would prefer to
watch it for free, which is understandable.
 All the answers we got from these questions were put into pie charts which very
clearly show the percentage of different responses.
 After we had finished our film we created another questionnaire on the blog that we
sent out to people on Facebook to give us some feedback on our production. Using
Facebook to do this was a great idea because a lot of people use this social
networking site and it is easier to fill out via a social networking site rather than
filling out a physical paper copy of it, which I think people appreciate as there is
less pressure to write a response that we would expect. And it is less hassling.
 We got some very good feedback from the
questionnaire and a lot of people found that our
individual acting skills brought them joy, which is
great because we are obviously aiming to
entertain our audience.
 When we actually started filming we tried to
make it apparent that Elle was a bit of a loner
and had no luck with boys and just generally
fitting in with people at school, we did this by
using multiple scenes where she is bullied and
with the additional narration over the film, we
could add extra emphasis on her perspective. We
did this to make it very clear to the audience
that Elle‟s life is always hard for her and it
wasn‟t just a „one off‟ bad day.
 I think people will understand the moral of our film
because we made it very clear with the narration and the
scene with Elle and her mum, as well as the poster which
gives a hint to what will unfold in the film.
 “Get busy living or get busy dying”
 Overall the majority of our audience loved
our film, we are very proud that we were
able to entertain so many viewers and we
are very happy with the feedback that we
obtained.
