An agile coach focuses on serving others and helping individuals, teams, and organizations effectively deal with challenges and envision their goals. As a go-giver, an agile coach puts others' interests first. An agile coach also has a go-getter side and helps individuals and teams implement the best ways to achieve their goals. An agile coach is guided by being a servant leader, modest, attentive, respectful, resilient, and trustworthy.

Agile HR - Human Resource Management - Manu Melwin Joymanumelwin
The "Agile Model of HR" states that human resources' job is not just to implement controls and standards, and drive execution—but rather to facilitate and improve organizational agility.
Titansoft started its Agile journey in 2014 and with the adoption of an Agile framework in software development. Naturally affecting the organisation on various levels, the HR function was also heavily disrupted but ready for this much-needed refresh. Numerous HR policy and procedure changes were required to support the environment to be more agile, thus triggering changes to, as well as the introduction of, non-conventional HR practices.
On March 134, 2018, Tom Haak of the HR Trend Institute (https://hrtrendinstitute.com) gave a presentation at the HRcoreLAB in Barcelona. These are the slides he used.
Situational Scrum Mastering: What the Scrum guide didn’t tell me about leadin...Scrum Australia Pty Ltd
This session aims to raise awareness about what it takes to successfully lead a team that is trying to be Agile. Santosh will share his personal experiences about challenges he has faced, and why it’s important for an effective Scrum Master to understand what their team needs in terms of leadership before they can successfully lead a team.
According to Paul Hersey, leaders need to adapt their behavior to fit a team’s readiness. Based this readiness level, which is determined by the team’s ability and willingness, a Scrum Master can opt for Telling, Selling, Participating, and Delegating their style of leadership.
In this talk, we will dive into specific things a Scrum Master should do when leading a team that has a different level of readiness. Ultimately, we will learn how a Scrum Master can help teams with limited confidence and abilities to become an agile team, leading them to maximise their agile-ness throughout.
If you are just starting a career as a Scrum Master are a seasoned veteran, or even an agile team member, and want to increase your understanding about leading teams that are trying to become agile, then this talk is for you.
Beyond the Scrum Master - Becoming an Agile CoachCprime
For an organization to truly move to agility they must develop more than the traditional Scrum roles of ScrumMaster, Product Owner and Scrum team. They must create internal agile coaches. These agile advocates guide other ScrumMasters and Product Owners, assist teams with problems implementing Scrum and help the organization adopt the agile mindset.
How do you move from the ScrumMaster role to that of an agile coach? In this session, we’ll identify the characteristics of a good agile coach, how the role differs from the ScrumMaster and how to build an internal agile coaching organization. We’ll learn:
• Who makes a good agile coach
• How a typical internal agile coach spends their time
• How to assess problems in an unfamiliar team
• Metrics and tools to help the agile coach
• Getting teams started in Agile
• Continuing your own learning
This session is crucial for anyone who has a desire to help agile practices grow and thrive in the organization.

Normalizing agile and lean product development and aimRussell Pannone
The what, why, and how of agile and lean product (system-software) development and delivery is not one persons vision alone; to become reality it needs to be a "shared" vision through negotiation and compromise between individuals, the team and the organization.
The following is a set of norms for your agile and lean product (system-software) development teams to rally around and evolve.

Is Understanding Employee Psychology the Secret to Boosting Engagement?Kashish Trivedi
Employee psychology is focused on why an employee behaves the way they do while performing their role.
This practice categorizes employee behaviors into predictable patterns. By studying those patterns, managers can effectively deal with both individual employees and entire teams.
Understanding employee psychology is incredibly beneficial to companies as it provides insight into an organization’s greatest asset (their employees). This empowers managers to effectively deal with different employee personality types.
Employee behaviors have been classified and put into predictable patterns understood as employee psychology. In better understanding employee psychology, managers can identify the most effective way to deal with both individual employees and teams of workers.
People management is one of the most difficult areas of management nowadays. People are not machines, they are complicated, emotionally unstable and a good manager needs anticipate any possible issue that might appear in their job lives in order to maintain the team motivation and performance.

How To Build An Assertive Team by Prakash RanaPrakash Rana
How To Build An Assertive Team
Everyone, from management to the workforce, agrees that a strong and united culture is key to the success of the business. It is the mindset and beliefs that guide workplace behavior and decision-making in the company.
Whatever culture the leader wishes to cultivate has to become part of everyday business. It should be evident in every aspect of the business and every decision, no matter the department. As a leader, you make those working with you stronger when you use your power to make them more confident.
The significance of the Agile-Lean Requirements Position Statement is it defines the need, belief, and the readiness to do what it takes to effectively write agile requirements and deliver commercial or operational value.
The Agile-Lean Requirements Position Statement ensures unanimity of purpose within the enterprise and the agile product development and delivery teams by serving as a reference point, educational value and motivating force:
Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
