Marketing Strategy for Establishing Presence in Emerging...
Section I
Establishing presence in Emerging Markets
Marketing strategy is an important aspect of any business s sales and long term success. As outlined
by Ataman et al. (2010), it is the entire marketing mix that has an impact on the performance of
mature brands in the long term. One of the factors in the marketing mix is the place. For mature
businesses, it is extremely important to explore new locations and opportunities for resources and
expansion. Oviatt and McDougall (1994) elaborate that while there are organizations that operate on
the International level since inception; there are others for which it is really important to explore new
ventures. The authors present a framework for this purpose in which they identify four elements that
are important for multinational enterprises. These characteristics include internalizing some
transactions, relying on alternative governance for accessing resources, establishing advantages
through foreign locations and gaining control over unique resources. Emerging markets are proving to
be the center for new ventures because of the opportunities, unique resources and facilities they have
to offer. Other than the physical resources and legal facilities, as outlined by Catorelli and Goldberg
(2009), there has also been immense globalization of banking because of which local as well as
foreign owned banks are increasing their exposure for cross border funding to increase opportunities
for capital, rather than just concentrating on

Donald Trump Bellwether Of America
For the sake of the United States and for the rest of the world Donald Trump should not rise to
presidency. It is certain that any other known candidate could perform the job better, and will live up
to the responsibility. Furthermore, a better candidate can persuade people without insulting the people
of our beloved country. Donald Trump verbalizes in his campaign, Make America great again, but that
is implying America is not great already. It is one of the reasons Donald Trump should not become the
herald of America. Why should he become the bellwether of a nation he doesn t believe is great? Why
not express his ideas on how to make the United States the most prominent?
Along with believing our country isn t great, he shows no emotion

Obamacare Controversy
Acts never pass through Congress without opposition. Someone in Congress always opposes a bill,
sometimes without sensible rationale. When a bill affects as many people as the Affordable Care Act
does, it can spark heated debates and controversy on an extremely large scale. Right from the start, the
country has split in two over this act. Although the ACA is often the subject of criticism and censure, it
helps millions of people across the country on a daily basis. Susceptible to manipulation, some
American people have become so influenced by their political parties, the parties opinions trample
original thought. As Kevin Drum comments, Republicans hate the idea that Barack Obama is
responsible for a pretty successful program, and they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Kaiser Foundation s studies indicate that, despite a forty seven percent majority that has an
unfavorable opinion of the bill, they want to reform it, not repeal it (Cohn par. 1). America s
population dislikes the ACA, but they generally agree that this country needs an affordable healthcare
system. All the politicians who advocate for repealing the law do not represent the general public.
Statistics from Olga Khazan show that seventy four percent of Republicans want the ACA majorly
reformed, not repealed (par. 2). That many Republicans want the ACA drastically changed rather than
eliminated which means they want a better system. Unfortunately, many Republican politicians do not
share these ideas. Achieving a good healthcare system could happen more quickly once everyone
works together instead of against each

A Research Study On Human Breast Milk
Human breast milk has being known to play a vital role in providing nutrition to babies. Human breast
milk is a natural source of supply for the baby while producing enzymatic, immunologic, and
hormonal elements to the baby (Kennaugh Lockhart Borman, 2011). During the early 20th century
nearly all babies where fed either with maternal breast milk or donated breast milk. (THE HISTORY
OF MILK BANKING, 2016, p. 1) As time progressed on supplement feeding through the use of
artificial milk became more popular then breast milk. Through history mothers have taken a huge
interest in utilizing supplements of donor breast milk to feed their babies nutritious breast milk. When
maternal milk is inadequate or lacking particularly for high risk or premature infants pasteurized
donor milk is the next best option. Donor milk banking plays an important role in meeting these
recommendations . (THE HISTORY OF MILK BANKING, 2016, p. 1)
Some history of how breast milk came about goes all the way back to a practice called wet nursing. It
is a practice when children were either breastfed by their mothers or breast fed by friends, relatives or
strangers. (THE HISTORY OF MILK BANKING, 2016, p. 1)
In the 13th century, European women made more money working as wet nurses than any other
occupation open to women. By early in the twentieth century, awareness of the possibility of disease
transmission, difficulty finding wet nurse s particularly in North America and an increasing number

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of A Computer Test
COMPUTER OR PAPER? According to Enoch Morrison, even if computers are a great help to the
students examination, there are some people who are still not used to using it for taking tests. There
are advantages and disadvantages when using it. For example, its advantage may be the test could be
arranged by the professor or teacher according to its difficulty like starting off an easy one in the first
question, then it will get difficult by the time the test go to the last question as it will save time and the
student won t get anxious or stressed. Another one that computer based testing is useful or helpful for
correcting grammars, checking the spelling, determining if there is wrong in the structure or
placement of the sentence. One of its disadvantage is how students get their answers for the exams, it
could be from the internet or advanced software tools. The difference between using computer ...

Holocaust Restitution Essay

This particular paper, covering the issues of justice and ownership in returning artwork from the
Holocaust, makes a clear statement when it states As noted during parliamentary debates on the UK
Holocaust (Return of Cultural Objects) Act 2009, restitution affords some justice,4 legally or
financially drawing one line under the Nazi era.5 Since fourth century BC Athens, restitution has been
key to the legitimacy of successor societies. They undertake responsibility for past wrongs,6
(re)assume a place in the international community,7 and deftly side step collective guilt (O Donnell).
The article combines a historical and legal view in explaining why certain measures must be taken to
provide a consistent justice to the victims of the Holocaust by returning the looted art. The article also
takes time to explain why the recovery of Holocaust art became such a significant issue years after
World War II, citing causes like the fiftieth anniversary of the Holocaust and improved methods of
research and recovery (O Donnell). O Donnell provides a clear view of why art should be returned to
their original owners, the main theme being that art acts as a symbol for reconciliation and justice for
victims of the massive genocide of the Holocaust. This gives the recovery of Holocaust art a
symbolism and significance that associates with the topics of

Execut Muscle Longness
During exercise, the muscles work tirelessly in order for the body to be able to work out. After
physical activity, the body usually has acute muscle soreness and delayed onset muscle soreness.
During acute muscle soreness, pain is felt immediately after exercise. For example, if one works out
their arms and back for an hour, they would feel a pain right after they leave the gym. Although it
might be painful, it only lasts for a few minutes. Because the body has an accumulation of acid and
tissue edema, the muscles become sore. After a while, the blood stream clears the acid and edema in
which causes the pain in the muscles to disappear.
On the other hand, delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), has a longer lasting effect on the muscles.

Locke And His Theory Of Determination
Here is where I must depart from Locke and his theory of determination of the will according to pain
and pleasure. I think this is a difficult notion to be comfortable with and it should be. To use the
formula of pleasure minus pain equals happiness is in direct conflict with Christian teachings and the
common good of all people. Locke, being a self proclaimed Christian, is becoming less and less
Christian like as this book progresses, and I agree with Chappell when she stated that he was an
egotist and a hedonist, which are inconsistent with Christianity . He discounts the husbands that
sacrifice for their wives, the wives that sacrifice for their husbands, parents that sacrifice for their
children, siblings that sacrifice for each other, neighbors that sacrifices for neighbors, the priests that
sacrifice for the church and all people, people that sacrifice for God, and we can go on and on and on.
We are all meant to work toward the good of all and serve one another, but Locke overlooks this
higher good that far surpasses pleasure and pain. Locke says that every intelligent Bring really seeks
Happiness, which consists in the enjoyment of pleasure, without any considerable mixtures of
uneasiness . I see two ways to read this excerpt. First is to look at the capital B in Being, and interpret
the intelligent Being as relating to all human beings and this is to say that all humans think that
happiness is maximized pleasure and minimized pain. And to refute this is

Martin Scoorsese s Influence On American Culture
Martin Scorsese is an award winning film director and writer, who has created culture shaping movies
over the past six decades. His work is dark, gritty, real, and sometimes misinterpreted, which lead to a
large scandal in the 1980 s. However, its hard to deny the impact this director has left on American
culture. Martin Scorsese is an inspirational for his film directing and producing, screenwriting, and his
effect on American culture. Martin Scorsese began his career as a producer and director in 1967, with
his first major film, Who s That Knocking at My Door . As a director, he d become famous from his

Scorsese wrote one of the most iconic movies in American history, Goodfellas . Goodfellas went on to
triumph. It won widespread critical acclaim, success at the box office and earned six Oscar
nominations. Twenty five years later, its recognition as a classic is near universal. Goodfellas didn t
just look authentic. For those who d led the Mafia life it had a definite sense of the real thing. Twenty
five years on, Goodfellas is more than just special, it s viewed as a real masterpiece, among the best
pictures of the 1990s and possibly the best movie Martin Scorsese has ever made (Tom Brook 2015).
Goodfellas has the same dark heart, understanding that even as the audience watches on with horror,
there s some tiny part of them that has completely surrendered to the madness and the fun. That was
Goodfellas s original genius and, even in retrospect, it seems impossible to equal (David Sims 2015).
Goodfellas changed the way we viewed gangsters and the mafia. His screenwriting has told fantastic
stories over the years. In addition to writing Goodfellas , he wrote Mean Streets , The Age of

The Namesake Minor Characters
People are often seen as the people they associate themselves with. Humanes begin to evolve as they
grow up and start overcoming baggage. Our loved ones can drift us apart from our roots and that can
be either positive or poor. In the novel The Namesake, Lahiri uses the minor characters Kim, Ruth and
Maxine throughout the novel to highlight Gogol s characterization and journey of growing up and
becoming less understanding and distancing himself from his own culture. This statement relates to
numerous of immigrants who distance themselves from their own culture to the one they are living in
at the moment.
Lahiri creates the minor character of Kim to help explain Gogol s adventure to a different culture than
his. There are abounding moments throughout the novel where Gogol tries to change his identity
because he thinks people will make fun of him because of his name. A major point in the book is when
he is at a college party and meets a girl named Kim. But he doesn t want to tell Kim his name. He
doesn t want to endure her reaction, to watch her lovely blue eyes grow wide (96). In the following
quote, Lahiri uses the internal conflict in Gogol, to have the reader Castellanos 2 sympathize and
relate to the circumstance that people can go through when they are afraid what one might think.
Gogol believes that by changing his name, he will be accepted into the community around him. He is
mainly concerned about what girls think of him, rather than

Impact Of Media On Gender And The Media
Impact of Media on Gender
Annie Hernandez
Keiser University
August 13, 2014
Abstract
Boys and girls have for long spans of time considered themselves to be different. The media and
advertising has played a significant role to make sure that they influence the way that boys and girls
view themselves. Society has always had a main focus on getting people to behave in certain ways, the
media has been magnificent at causing each gender to classify themselves in particular ways that
makes genders feel certain types of pressures to conform to what is expected of them. Gender
representations in the media have become such a problem that there are oversight agencies that are
being put together to help monitor the media.
For a number of years there has been a significant impact by the media on the way that genders
interpret themselves. There is a countless level of effort that the media puts in to ensure that people
abide by the gender roles that they created. In turn there is societal pressure to keep girls and boys in
the roles that are considered to be normal. The sense of what is normal for each gender gets
interpreted by the programming that the media offers. The way that genders are shown on television
and in media are increasingly becoming important in the way that the media business functions.
It is evident that the media has a great deal of influence when it comes to the way that genders are
perceived. The images that are placed in

Spanish Colonialism and the Indigenous People of Bolivia
Prior to Spanish discovery of the new world, the area now known as Bolivia was home to three major
ethnic and linguistic groups; the Uru, Aymara, and Quechua. The Uru lived on rafts, fishing and
foraging along the shore of Lake Titicaca. The Aymara dominated the Uru, reducing their status to
poor fishermen and landless workers. Aymara society was built upon a basic social unit of kinship that
organized the distribution of labor, and this system, termed ayllu, was later adopted by conquering

Francisco Pizarro, Diego de Almagro and Hernando de Luque lead the discovery and conquest of the

An Abuse of Power by Political Institutions in the United...
The President, Supreme Court and Congress: An Abuse of Power? Preserving life, liberty and the
pursuit of happiness has been atop all priorities of the United states of America (United States
Constitution, 1776). To maintain this mission, a framework for the organization of the United States
Government and it s relationship to the people was developed. This creation has become the supreme
law of the United States. It is known as the Constitution (United States Constitution, 1776). This
oldest written Constitution still in use by any nation in the world holds a central place in the United
States of America as it used to maintain peace all across the nation (GPO Access, 2010). This

This action taken by the President and the NSA was a breach of trust between the government and
American citizens. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) describes Warrantless Wiretapping to

Wiccans Goddess
Although some Wiccans focus on particular gods from particular world mythologies, Wiccans may
worship many gods and goddesses by many different names. Most worship some form of the Great
Goddess and Her consort, The Horned God. Such duo theistic forces are often conceived as
embodying complementary polarities, not in opposition. In some traditions worship of the Goddess is
emphasized, although in others the Goddess and God are seen as complementary co equals. The
Goddess and God may be seen as associated with certain things (such as the Goddess with the earth or
moon, God with sun and wildlife, etc.), but there are no hard and fast rules. Some traditions worship
the Goddess alone while others see Divinity as essentially beyond human understanding, ... Show

Some Wiccans conceive deities as similar to thought forms.
According to current Gardnerian Wiccans, the exact names of the Goddess and God of traditional
Wicca remain an initiatory secret, and they are not given in Gardner s books about witchcraft.
However, the collection of Toronto Papers of Gardner s writings has been investigated by American
scholars such as Aidan Kelly, leading to the suggestion that their names are Cernunnos and Aradia.
These are the names used in the prototype Book of Shadows known as Ye Bok of Ye Arte Magickal.
For most Wiccans, the Lord and Lady are seen as complementary polarities: male and female, force
and form, comprehending all in their union; the tension and interplay between them is the basis of all
creation, and this balance is seen in much of nature. The God and Goddess are sometimes symbolized
as the Sun and Moon, and from her lunar associations the Goddess becomes a Triple Goddess with
aspects of Maiden , Mother and Crone corresponding to the Moon s waxing, full and waning

Creating A Skilled Baseball Player
Practice makes perfect, however, the skills are required to receive intensive training in order to be a
skilled baseball player. Practice makes perfect meaning the more you do something, the better you will
become at it. There are three essential ways of training to build my skills as a baseball player: batting a
baseball is a tough skill to grasp, catching a fly ball is a very difficult thing to do, and running the
bases are critical skill to develop. Everything is tough when I started to play little league baseball at
age of nine. Meanwhile, it takes me three years to make it perfect. Perfection is almost impossible to
accomplish, but perfection is impossible without practice. Firstly, batting a baseball is a tough skill to
grasp. In my first year, my batting was terrible and I had only one hit in twenty games. During the off
season, I took a lot of time to practice on batting from the baseball field, batting cage, and batting tee
with my head coach. My head coach wants me to work on my weaknesses such as watching the ball
from a pitcher and swing the bat in a proper motion because I was not pay attention at the ball from a
pitcher and swing hard without the proper motion. My batting skills improved a lot through the
multiple trainings from my head coach. In my second year, I was able to ... Show more content on

A Dystopian
On top of chasing an incredibly fragmented and disparate storyline, Barthelme incorporates or rather
alludes to at least at one point the work of William Butler Yeats. In particular, Barthelme alludes to
Yeats poem The Second Coming , a dystopian work, much ahead of its time. Barthelme writes, The
center will not hold if it has been spot welded by an operator... (Barthelme 2817), alluding to Yeats
line Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; . Yeats published The Second Coming shortly after the
end of WWI, perhaps as a statement that the ending of that war harkened a frightening new age. On
top of Yeats advancing a dystopian and alienating agenda in The Second Coming , this work was the
one of the first to produce a basic manifesto

Essay about Philosophy and Therapeutic Recreation
As I make my way on this journey that is my life, I realize that I have always believed in the
fundamental worth of all humanity and my responsibility as a fellow human being to respect this
premise and also to support individuals, as much as I am able, to help unearth it should this basic truth
become hidden to them. This is a guiding principle for me and I believe that many of the constructs of
the field of Therapeutic Recreation (TR) are congruent with this philosophy. Making the decision to
obtain a Therapeutic Recreation Specialization (TRS) degree offered a theoretical rationale in which
to further explore the concept of leisure, define my professional philosophy and an opportunity to

When choosing to work with adults living with severe dementia, many people often ask me how or
why I do it. It s simple. Not only do I believe that all people have value, I likewise believe that all
people can contribute to society. The client who can no longer articulate their thoughts or needs or
desires is teaching me to listen and find alternative means of communication. In essence, they are
teaching me to be a better communicator. I think this is congruent with Sayers concept of meaningful
contribution. There are still so many things about the brain that we do not understand that I would find
it arrogant of me to assume that the person with dementia does not feel they are still contributing to
society in some way.
This improved communication skill, from my perspective, is an essential and necessary benchmark for
the establishment of an effective client/practitioner relationship. O Keefe (2008) urges us to listen to
the narrative, there s a story to be heard, if only we adjust our philosophical positioning.

After World War II West Germany and East Germany were divided , the West side being separated
into French, American, and British sections. The East was given entirely to the Soviet Union. After
people were flooding out of the country to escape the vengeful Soviets, they decided to put up a wall
around the Allied section of Berlin in 1961. After some time, the Allied Powers decided to reunify
West Germany and bring massive amounts of money into the country. After The Berlin Wall fell in
1989, which allowed for people to escape into the prospering West Germany. The Soviet Union fell

Outside Of House Painting Analysis
It is possible to paint the outside of your house in the winter time. Here are a few things you need to
take into consideration before painting the outside of your house this winter. Look At The Temperature
Your Materials Will Work At The first thing you need to do is look at all the material that you need to
use to paint the outside of your house and determine what temperature the materials work effectively
at. For example, if the outside of your house has already been prepared for paint before the cold
weather struck, only your paint needs to stand up to cold weather. Or, if the outside of the house has
not been prepared yet, you need to make sure that any caulk, fillers and primers you need to use, as
well as the paint, will be able ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, caulking, fillers and primers often need warmer weather to work properly. Be sure to read
the directions on all materials that you purchase carefully. Find Out The Surface Temperature Next,
before you start painting, you need to find out not just what the air temperature will be, you also need
to figure out what the surface temperature of your home is. Often times, the surface temperature of
your home will be cooler than the outside temperature. Just because you have one warm day does not
mean that the outside of your house has had time to warm up. You will need to purchase a tool
specifically designed to measure the surface temperature of objects. You will need to purchase a
thermometer with a probe so you can figure out the surface temperature of your home. You should be
able to find this tool at your local home improvement or building store. Work With The Sun If you
decide the temperature outside is warm enough to paint, you need to start working as soon as the sun
comes up and the weather warms up. You also need to work with the sun. Follow the sun around the
house as you paint; when the sun moves, you need to move as well. Once the temperatures begin the
downward slide, stop

Summary Of Self Reliance By Ralph Waldo Emerson
Ralph Waldo Emerson was a central figure in the social movement of transcendentalism around the
mid 1800s. Transcendentalism is the idea of individualism and the belief that people should trust
themselves to be their own authority and not confine themselves to the conformity of society.
Throughout his works, Emerson uses ideas such as, individualism, conformity, nonconformity, and
persuasive ideas to express his beliefs. During the 1800s to speak out against traditional thought was a
rare and disdained action, but it didn t avert Emerson from elaborating his positions on individual
matters. He wrote many famous texts that are still relevant today, but in his work Self Reliance , Ralph
Waldo Emerson uses powerful language to produce a candid tone that persuades the reader to flout
conformity within our society; in hopes of empowering people to become more outspoken and not sit
in the shadows of social expectations.
One of Emerson s greatest tools is his use of passionate language throughout his work. His passionate
use of language and emotional appeal to illustrate his beliefs about conformity. When he states, Else,
to morrow a stranger will say with masterly good sense precisely what we have thought and felt all the
time, and we shall be forced to take with shame our own opinion from another. (Emerson 2), he is
referring to the audience s emotions when missing out on the opportunity to speak. Instead, another
person takes the credit for the same idea. Throughout life people hold their tongues when new ideas
appear due to the fear of it not being accepted or it being negatively judged. This fear fills many, but
the person who has the courage to speak his mind will have self reliance, and the ones who were quiet
will rue the missed opportunity. In the early pages of Emerson s Self Reliance , he refers to inner trust
and will power when he states, To believe in your own thought, to believe that what is true in your
private heart is true for all men this is genius. (Emerson 1). Emerson illustrates that there is nothing
more essential to life than one s self confidence and trust, for anything is possible due to will power
and determination. Emerson s tone through the early paragraphs of his text is very

Microsoft s Partnership with UNHCR Pro Bono Publico?
Let me first provide the landscape of this case study by highlighting that the evolution of the
partnership between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the software
giant Microsoft Corporation facilitated a strategic and mutually beneficial partnership, as well as
shaping the definition today of good corporate social responsibility. The corporate social responsibility
(CSR) initiative was created back in 1999 as an endeavor at a point in time when Microsoft employees
engaged to assist to aid the victims of the Kosovo crisis. The emotional undertaking is referred to as

term goal of providing some ideal public relations and brand citizenry ship longing for
acknowledgment. UNHCR created more opportunities through the partnership with Microsoft. In our
readings Microsoft lacked investment opportunities, share price dropped in valuation an the company
itself was portrayed as a monopoly power in our society. The concept behind the Global Citizen
activities within Microsoft or CSR initiatives in Kosovo was also to get the recognition throughout the
industry from stakeholders. With the Letter of Understanding (LOU) transparent as key objectives for
the public to view, it reflected social responsibility, a UNHCR Corporate Code of Conduct and a
partnership that did not fulfill any financial gains (Coethica, D. 2010). In suit, the partnership clearly
illustrated an alliance about mutual humanitarian components, reputation and provided stated outcome

The Theme Of Alienation In Eugene O Neill s The Hairy Ape
1. Introduction The themes of alienation and identity quest were one of the major themes when it
comes to writers of the 20th century, no matter which genre they belonged. They usually used their
abilities and techniques to criticize the society, emphasizing the idea of dehumanizing men that came
with industrialism, blaming it for the alienation of the individual from society. Eugene O Neill, among
many other writers, was also concerned with the notion of enslaving the working class by capitalists,
and the effect it had, depriving them and giving them the feeling of low self esteem. It was inevitable
that such changes will bring the feeling of oppression as well, since moral and materialistic values
shifted and everything turned upside down, eventually brining emptiness and lack of security, losing
the faith both in humanity and God. O Neill strongly criticized the capitalist system, fighting for the
idea that it should stand for workers, not against them. Karl Marx, dealing with the theme of alienation
for many years as well, also criticized society divided into social classes within the capitalism, which
turned the man into a mechanistic part, eventually estranging him from the humanity, and claimed that

The life and accomplishments of Al Capone during the...
During the prohibition era of the 1920 s, if one wasn t an enemy of Alphonse (Al) Scarface Capone,
was he, in many eyes, a hero? Due to his savvy street smarts and the corrupt rebellion of the decade,
Al Capone was not only a popular commentary of the time, but is now a legend. His classic boy from
the ghetto turned generous multi millionaire story only adds to the heroism seen in this most famous
Chicago mobster. Chicago s industries, open spaces and four seasons were an enormous magnet for
the 19th century Europeans looking for a home and opportunity. The frontier Chicago grew into a
wonderful collection of ethnic neighborhoods Irish, Italian, Russian, Greek, German, Polish and
others. In many of these communities, making beer and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These statistics are probably sensationalized, however, no man has ever brought forth the proof that
Capone touched a trigger in any of them. The most that can be said is that Capone s enemies (mainly
other mob leaders trying to cash in a little too much, in Capone s territory, on the prohibition law)
died, that Capone s friends lived longer than the friends of other gangsters; Capones power, influence,
income, and the scope of his operations grew with the hammer blows of death. It was not illegal in the
1920s to own a machine gun, so the Chicago piano quickly became one of the key tools that gangs
used to maintain their influence. The situation quickly got out of control, and deteriorating became an
open warfare. Hundreds of soldiers were killed on Chicago s streets, in cars and at home, and the
concept of being taken for a ride took on a new meaning. Al Capone is said to have had more to do
with this than any other, only because he was the main mobster around and had so much control over
all the illegal practiced doings of the city. As there were many wars between the peasants and the king,
there were many wars between Chicago mobs over who had control and who didn t. Robin Hood was
the peasants leader, as Capone was the Chicago residents, but Chicago s king was not hated, in fact, he
was adored and respected by many! Capone was often seen with many highly regarded political

The First World War (WWI) Essay

how they miss and love his or her families. In The Price of Glory: Verdun 1916, Alistair Horne writes
day to day stories about the Battle of Verdun and of soldiers discussing his or her feelings at that point.

As a source, the letters are both useful and not. The good thing about the letters is that they show how
the soldiers felt about the war and how they were able to deal with the constant fighting and the
conditions they were in. It goes on from day to day: alternately awful marches and then a whole day s
inactive vegetating; heat and cold; too much to eat and then a long spell of hunger. The downside is
that they do not give an overview of the war or tell the reader what is happening everywhere else at all
times. These letters best convey what the soldiers experienced and felt because instead of historians
writing about what they thought the soldiers experienced, it was the actual soldiers expressing what
they were going through during the war.
In All Quiet on the Western Erich Maria Remarque writes about what German soldiers went through
and about the relationships between one another. In his book, the narrator is a German soldier who
tells the reader a very detailed story about his current days in World War 1. He writes dialogues
between the troops and describes all of the other soldiers. Close behind us were our friends: Tjaden, a

Strategies Of Oral Communication
The 3 predominantly used communication strategies utilised in Parkway Pantai Group are oral
communication, emails and the means of quarterly printed publications, circulars and memos. Oral
Communication
Oral communication is the most basic medium utilised throughout the company in terms of telephonic
conversations or face to face conversations. For example, if a colleague is facing IT issues on his/her
computer, he/she will most probably pick up the handset and give a convenient call to the IT
department for assistance. Oral communication is best in case of problem resolution and promotes a
receptive and encouraging morale among organizational employees.
Advantages

which are needed in written communication. So it is easy and helpful to the company. There is

The scope of usage of oral communication is limited. It is not suitable for lengthy messages. It should
be sued for short message. The main subject may be omitted to express a word for communicating in
short messages or sometimes, the receiver fails to understand the meaning of a message due to
habitual productions of the speaker.
There is no legal validity in oral messages as oral messages are not taped and no records are kept.
Therefore it can be denied easily if the situation goes against the speaker.
Less important
In oral communication, meaningless speech can mislead the main effects of the communication. But
when the information comes out in written, we take it seriously.

  • 2. Marketing Strategy for Establishing Presence in Emerging... Section I Establishing presence in Emerging Markets Marketing strategy is an important aspect of any business s sales and long term success. As outlined by Ataman et al. (2010), it is the entire marketing mix that has an impact on the performance of mature brands in the long term. One of the factors in the marketing mix is the place. For mature businesses, it is extremely important to explore new locations and opportunities for resources and expansion. Oviatt and McDougall (1994) elaborate that while there are organizations that operate on the International level since inception; there are others for which it is really important to explore new ventures. The authors present a framework for this purpose in which they identify four elements that are important for multinational enterprises. These characteristics include internalizing some transactions, relying on alternative governance for accessing resources, establishing advantages through foreign locations and gaining control over unique resources. Emerging markets are proving to be the center for new ventures because of the opportunities, unique resources and facilities they have to offer. Other than the physical resources and legal facilities, as outlined by Catorelli and Goldberg (2009), there has also been immense globalization of banking because of which local as well as foreign owned banks are increasing their exposure for cross border funding to increase opportunities for capital, rather than just concentrating on ... • 3. Donald Trump Bellwether Of America For the sake of the United States and for the rest of the world Donald Trump should not rise to presidency. It is certain that any other known candidate could perform the job better, and will live up to the responsibility. Furthermore, a better candidate can persuade people without insulting the people of our beloved country. Donald Trump verbalizes in his campaign, Make America great again, but that is implying America is not great already. It is one of the reasons Donald Trump should not become the herald of America. Why should he become the bellwether of a nation he doesn t believe is great? Why not express his ideas on how to make the United States the most prominent? Along with believing our country isn t great, he shows no emotion ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Obamacare Controversy Acts never pass through Congress without opposition. Someone in Congress always opposes a bill, sometimes without sensible rationale. When a bill affects as many people as the Affordable Care Act does, it can spark heated debates and controversy on an extremely large scale. Right from the start, the country has split in two over this act. Although the ACA is often the subject of criticism and censure, it helps millions of people across the country on a daily basis. Susceptible to manipulation, some American people have become so influenced by their political parties, the parties opinions trample original thought. As Kevin Drum comments, Republicans hate the idea that Barack Obama is responsible for a pretty successful program, and they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Kaiser Foundation s studies indicate that, despite a forty seven percent majority that has an unfavorable opinion of the bill, they want to reform it, not repeal it (Cohn par. 1). America s population dislikes the ACA, but they generally agree that this country needs an affordable healthcare system. All the politicians who advocate for repealing the law do not represent the general public. Statistics from Olga Khazan show that seventy four percent of Republicans want the ACA majorly reformed, not repealed (par. 2). That many Republicans want the ACA drastically changed rather than eliminated which means they want a better system. Unfortunately, many Republican politicians do not share these ideas. Achieving a good healthcare system could happen more quickly once everyone works together instead of against each ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to Enoch Morrison, even if computers are a great help to the students examination, there are some people who are still not used to using it for taking tests. There are advantages and disadvantages when using it. For example, its advantage may be the test could be arranged by the professor or teacher according to its difficulty like starting off an easy one in the first question, then it will get difficult by the time the test go to the last question as it will save time and the student won t get anxious or stressed. Psychology, Mathematics, and Ergonomics were one of the areas where the comparability of paper based testing and computer based testing was made but few studies looked into this issue in the field of language assessment. Some studies have revealed that there is a significant difference between the two testing modes (Pomplun, 2002; Choi, et al., 2003) while others have concluded the opposite (Boo, 1997; Whitworth, 2001; Bugbee, 1996). Previous researches focused on the product of the experiment for example, scores of the test and the processes of factors that resulted in these scores, but not on both aspects. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This particular paper, covering the issues of justice and ownership in returning artwork from the Holocaust, makes a clear statement when it states As noted during parliamentary debates on the UK Holocaust (Return of Cultural Objects) Act 2009, restitution affords some justice,4 legally or financially drawing one line under the Nazi era.5 Since fourth century BC Athens, restitution has been key to the legitimacy of successor societies. They undertake responsibility for past wrongs,6 (re)assume a place in the international community,7 and deftly side step collective guilt (O Donnell). The article combines a historical and legal view in explaining why certain measures must be taken to provide a consistent justice to the victims of the Holocaust by returning the looted art. The article also takes time to explain why the recovery of Holocaust art became such a significant issue years after World War II, citing causes like the fiftieth anniversary of the Holocaust and improved methods of research and recovery (O Donnell). O Donnell provides a clear view of why art should be returned to their original owners, the main theme being that art acts as a symbol for reconciliation and justice for victims of the massive genocide of the Holocaust. This gives the recovery of Holocaust art a symbolism and significance that associates with the topics of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Execut Muscle Longness During exercise, the muscles work tirelessly in order for the body to be able to work out. After physical activity, the body usually has acute muscle soreness and delayed onset muscle soreness. During acute muscle soreness, pain is felt immediately after exercise. For example, if one works out their arms and back for an hour, they would feel a pain right after they leave the gym. Although it might be painful, it only lasts for a few minutes. Because the body has an accumulation of acid and tissue edema, the muscles become sore. After a while, the blood stream clears the acid and edema in which causes the pain in the muscles to disappear. On the other hand, delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), has a longer lasting effect on the muscles. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Locke And His Theory Of Determination Here is where I must depart from Locke and his theory of determination of the will according to pain and pleasure. I think this is a difficult notion to be comfortable with and it should be. To use the formula of pleasure minus pain equals happiness is in direct conflict with Christian teachings and the common good of all people. Locke, being a self proclaimed Christian, is becoming less and less Christian like as this book progresses, and I agree with Chappell when she stated that he was an egotist and a hedonist, which are inconsistent with Christianity . He discounts the husbands that sacrifice for their wives, the wives that sacrifice for their husbands, parents that sacrifice for their children, siblings that sacrifice for each other, neighbors that sacrifices for neighbors, the priests that sacrifice for the church and all people, people that sacrifice for God, and we can go on and on and on. We are all meant to work toward the good of all and serve one another, but Locke overlooks this higher good that far surpasses pleasure and pain. Locke says that every intelligent Bring really seeks Happiness, which consists in the enjoyment of pleasure, without any considerable mixtures of uneasiness . I see two ways to read this excerpt. First is to look at the capital B in Being, and interpret the intelligent Being as relating to all human beings and this is to say that all humans think that happiness is maximized pleasure and minimized pain. That was Goodfellas s original genius and, even in retrospect, it seems impossible to equal (David Sims 2015). Goodfellas changed the way we viewed gangsters and the mafia. • 33. Summary Of Self Reliance By Ralph Waldo Emerson Ralph Waldo Emerson was a central figure in the social movement of transcendentalism around the mid 1800s. Transcendentalism is the idea of individualism and the belief that people should trust themselves to be their own authority and not confine themselves to the conformity of society. Throughout his works, Emerson uses ideas such as, individualism, conformity, nonconformity, and persuasive ideas to express his beliefs. During the 1800s to speak out against traditional thought was a rare and disdained action, but it didn t avert Emerson from elaborating his positions on individual matters. He wrote many famous texts that are still relevant today, but in his work Self Reliance , Ralph Waldo Emerson uses powerful language to produce a candid tone that persuades the reader to flout conformity within our society; in hopes of empowering people to become more outspoken and not sit in the shadows of social expectations. One of Emerson s greatest tools is his use of passionate language throughout his work. His passionate use of language and emotional appeal to illustrate his beliefs about conformity. When he states, Else, to morrow a stranger will say with masterly good sense precisely what we have thought and felt all the time, and we shall be forced to take with shame our own opinion from another. (Emerson 2), he is referring to the audience s emotions when missing out on the opportunity to speak. Instead, another person takes the credit for the same idea. Throughout life people hold their tongues when new ideas appear due to the fear of it not being accepted or it being negatively judged. This fear fills many, but the person who has the courage to speak his mind will have self reliance, and the ones who were quiet will rue the missed opportunity. In the early pages of Emerson s Self Reliance , he refers to inner trust and will power when he states, To believe in your own thought, to believe that what is true in your private heart is true for all men this is genius. (Emerson 1). Emerson illustrates that there is nothing more essential to life than one s self confidence and trust, for anything is possible due to will power and determination. In our readings Microsoft lacked investment opportunities, share price dropped in valuation an the company itself was portrayed as a monopoly power in our society. The concept behind the Global Citizen activities within Microsoft or CSR initiatives in Kosovo was also to get the recognition throughout the industry from stakeholders. With the Letter of Understanding (LOU) transparent as key objectives for the public to view, it reflected social responsibility, a UNHCR Corporate Code of Conduct and a partnership that did not fulfill any financial gains (Coethica, D. 2010). • 35. The Theme Of Alienation In Eugene O Neill s The Hairy Ape 1. Introduction The themes of alienation and identity quest were one of the major themes when it comes to writers of the 20th century, no matter which genre they belonged. They usually used their abilities and techniques to criticize the society, emphasizing the idea of dehumanizing men that came with industrialism, blaming it for the alienation of the individual from society. Eugene O Neill, among many other writers, was also concerned with the notion of enslaving the working class by capitalists, and the effect it had, depriving them and giving them the feeling of low self esteem. It was inevitable that such changes will bring the feeling of oppression as well, since moral and materialistic values shifted and everything turned upside down, eventually brining emptiness and lack of security, losing the faith both in humanity and God. O Neill strongly criticized the capitalist system, fighting for the idea that it should stand for workers, not against them. Karl Marx, dealing with the theme of alienation for many years as well, also criticized society divided into social classes within the capitalism, which turned the man into a mechanistic part, eventually estranging him from the humanity, and claimed that the result of being unable to determine one s own destiny, actions and ... • 36. The life and accomplishments of Al Capone during the... During the prohibition era of the 1920 s, if one wasn t an enemy of Alphonse (Al) Scarface Capone, was he, in many eyes, a hero? Due to his savvy street smarts and the corrupt rebellion of the decade, Al Capone was not only a popular commentary of the time, but is now a legend. His classic boy from the ghetto turned generous multi millionaire story only adds to the heroism seen in this most famous Chicago mobster. Chicago s industries, open spaces and four seasons were an enormous magnet for the 19th century Europeans looking for a home and opportunity. The frontier Chicago grew into a wonderful collection of ethnic neighborhoods Irish, Italian, Russian, Greek, German, Polish and others. In many of these communities, making beer and ... The most that can be said is that Capone s enemies (mainly other mob leaders trying to cash in a little too much, in Capone s territory, on the prohibition law) died, that Capone s friends lived longer than the friends of other gangsters; Capones power, influence, income, and the scope of his operations grew with the hammer blows of death. It was not illegal in the 1920s to own a machine gun, so the Chicago piano quickly became one of the key tools that gangs used to maintain their influence. The situation quickly got out of control, and deteriorating became an open warfare. Hundreds of soldiers were killed on Chicago s streets, in cars and at home, and the concept of being taken for a ride took on a new meaning. Al Capone is said to have had more to do with this than any other, only because he was the main mobster around and had so much control over all the illegal practiced doings of the city. As there were many wars between the peasants and the king, there were many wars between Chicago mobs over who had control and who didn t. Robin Hood was the peasants leader, as Capone was the Chicago residents, but Chicago s king was not hated, in fact, he was adored and respected by many! As a source, the letters are both useful and not. The good thing about the letters is that they show how the soldiers felt about the war and how they were able to deal with the constant fighting and the conditions they were in. It goes on from day to day: alternately awful marches and then a whole day s inactive vegetating; heat and cold; too much to eat and then a long spell of hunger. The downside is that they do not give an overview of the war or tell the reader what is happening everywhere else at all times. These letters best convey what the soldiers experienced and felt because instead of historians writing about what they thought the soldiers experienced, it was the actual soldiers expressing what they were going through during the war. In All Quiet on the Western Erich Maria Remarque writes about what German soldiers went through and about the relationships between one another. In his book, the narrator is a German soldier who tells the reader a very detailed story about his current days in World War 1. He writes dialogues between the troops and describes all of the other soldiers. Close behind us were our friends: Tjaden, a skinny locksmith of our own age, the biggest eater of the company. So I take up the metallic black frame trying to not let the glue drip down as I run up the stairs taking two at a time. Once I get up there I start constructing the y axis and placing the bed. First I started by taking the rods and I slid them through the holes of the printer and slowly but surely the printer took shape. I slid from building the plate to putting a lcd screen to actually wiring the 3D printer the last thing left to do was put the power supply. I screwed in the last few wires for the power supply.
