Abstract
The purpose of this research paper is to examine the lives of Lee Boyd Malvo and John Allen
Muhammad. They are known as the D.C. Snipers who initiated a killing spree that lasted over 20 days
and resulted in 10 deaths and 3 injuries. This paper gives insight into the manipulation and control of
John Allen Muhammad over Lee Boyd Malvo who was child during this reign of terror. Information is
given to aid in understanding the contributing factors that led to innocent lives taken from society, the
loss innocence of a minor, and the molding and shaping of a cold blooded killer.
D.C. Snipers Children are the most precious human beings on the Earth. They represent such a pure
and innocence of mankind. They are to be loved, nurtured, molded, and trained by their parents to be
law abiding citizens and good moral and responsible adults. However, what happens when this does
not happen? When innocence is turned into evil, what is the result? When children are not exposed to
model parents and influenced by others who do not have their best interest in mind, society gains
troubled children who have the potential to become dangerous and unstable. This is the case of the
making of Lee Boyd Malvo: The D.C. Sniper. Lee Boyd Malvo was a child in 2002 when terror struck

victim, Matt, Joe Paterno s wife, two of his son s, students of Penn State University in 2011, as well as

It s been 3 weeks since the school year started. I go to class as usual, I do homework as usual, I take
tests as usual. Nothing seems out of the ordinary. Or rather, nothing would have seemed out of the
ordinary. I find it hard to focus on my math exam with so many thoughts running through my head. I
look up from my test and scan the room. Everyone seems equally as invested in the test in front of

Epistemological Approach to Modern Artificial Intelligence
Modern Artificial Intelligence There are a number of contemporary goals for artificial intelligence.
This truth is in part related to the fact that many of the basic goals of artificial intelligence that were
initially conceived during the 20th century still have not been met. Many contemporary goals,
therefore, have descended from these initial goals, and have simply incorporated more specific
practices and uses for artificial intelligence. Essentially, the primary goal of contemporary artificial
intelligence is to create some sort of life form or machine that has the cognitive ability to make life
easier and more conventional for humans by performing and completing both complex and simple
tasks. The logic behind this goal is sufficiently denoted in the following quotation, in which the
principle ends of artificial intelligence are listed as efforts to develop an artificial entity that can learn
and make decision in a complex, changing environment, affect that environment, and communicate in
knowledge and choices to humans; that is, an entity that can think (Neapolitan, 2011, p. iii). In many
different respects, this particular goal of artificial intelligence, to create an entity that can think and
reason in a specific environment, has expanded with the scion of artificial intelligence known as
Artificial General Intelligence. Artificial General Intelligence was developed within the past decade,
and aims at a degree of specificity alluded to, yet not specifically

Chara Island Research Paper
Our island s name is Chara. We named it after the star. Chara,star in the northern constellation of
Canes Venatici. It is the second brightest star in this relatively faint constellation. Chara translating
from Greek means joy. Chara island is a happy place for everyone. We thought joy would be a good
name because we wanted our island to be a relaxing place to forget about their troubles and worries.
To best make there home relaxing we have colorful flowers on every street. Our island has beautiful
flowers of every color and shape size. The flowers attract the bees which helps us keep our plants

The island is surrounded by clear blue and shimmery water. The water is a great place to hang out with
friends and family. On Chara we have amazing scuba diving and snorkeling. The coral reefs off of
Chara have great fishes and plant life. Our island is has four coral reefs on either side of the island. If
you just want to relax you can sit on our gorgeous beaches. The beaches on Chara island are full of
white hot sand,perfect for reading or napping on the beach. The island has a ton of beaches to chose

Barbarian Invasions
Evidently, Barbarian invasions were the most significant factor in the downfall of the Western Roman
Empire predominantly because they weakened the empire and thus made it vulnerable to other
problems such as a poor economic situation and political weaknesses within the empire. Barbarian
invasions occurred frequently throughout the timeline yet one of the most significant invasions was
the sack of Rome in 410 AD by Alaric and the Visigoths because this was the first time Rome was
defeated in 800 years therefore signalling the beginning of the end of the Western Roman Empire. The
Visigoths has crossed the Rhine river and were looking for land to settle and to be accepted within the
empire and so Alaric decided to besiege Rome until the senate paid him to leave. This resulted in
Rome being sieged a total of 3 times before the gates to Rome were opened from within and Rome
was finally sacked. This was a massive shock to the empire as it accentuated its weaknesses and the
Visigoths looted places of aristocracy and killed Romans who resisted and women were raped. This
also drastically worsened the economic situation as during the months in which Rome was under
siege, people began to die of hunger with some even resorting to cannibalism. This event is mimicked
45 years later in 455 AD by the Vandals, led by Genseric. The Vandals had already been causing

or wire before you begin to sterilize it. You then remove the caps from the tubes and flame the mouths
of the tubes to prevent air borne contamination. When all this is done, you have to pick up the
inoculum or unknown culture by running the sterile loop or wire down into the tube. Once you got the

those questions is Yes! Cell phones have advanced greatly since the turn of the century. With the
advancement of cellular technology cell phones have become a staple in our every day lives. Have
they become a dangerous distraction? Our kids are spending more time with the cell phones than their

Perin V. Hayne Case Summary
The case involving Perin v. Hayne seeks to determine if the defendant Dr. Robert Hayne, was in any
way negligent when he performed a surgical procedure on the plaintiff Ilene Perin, described as a
cervical fusion. This particular procedure sought to alleviate pressure, numbness, weakness and pain
